GREEN DRAGON in Leesport / Cute nephew!

Got my 2013 bus pass application in the mail today; I guess that's as early as I got it last year. I found some class leveling codes for DRAGON QUEST 6, so that'll save me SOME time. Still need to actually level up the characters, though! Spent about seven hours doing the code thing; called Eric to see whether he was going to potluck / movies at Pastor Bob's tonight. Since he said he was at his cousin's, he wasn't attending. NICE! MORE TIME TO GAME IT UP! A sign that Julie S. found in Ephrata, a small town in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania: "GREEN DRAGON!" (where her friend Nikki was trying to sell homemade bows) My big baby nephew is almost four months old. In this picture, he's currently dressed in an outfit for a 12-month old, and a hat for a 3-6 year old. Granted, the hat's a little big... Here's Drago (another secret character) at the front of the wagon near Clear Vale! Terry at the front of the wagon - you can get him after defeating the DEMON KING Duran! At Luisa's Place, the hero can't leave himself behind! You can also choose to dismiss recruited monsters from your party entirely: they'll return to the wilderness of the world. "Who will take Unkel's equipment?" is not a YES / NO question!

ANGRY BIRDS / Musical HELP note!

Eric picked me up for church a little late, but that's how we roll. He still jokingly thought I was drunk from last night, but that so wasn't true! I asked him why he didn't SAY anything when he called to let me know he was here, but he was checking his tires since they sounded weird when going over the speed bump, and forgot that he had pressed the CALL button. Good, because I almost went all "Gordon Ramsay" on him like he said! Of course, I'd have to turn such a mode OFF when I got to church - and then Eric asked me WHY. Um, because Gordon Ramsay swears a lot at the contestants in HELL'S KITCHEN?! Got to church, and asked Jeremy where he'd been last night: seems the poor guy was exhausted after a long week, and was in bed. Of course I forgive him! :D

Talked to Auntie Allyn about Grandma, and said hi to Uncle Peter; he just got back from China! Said hi to Amanda when she wanted to see the cute kiddy presentation, of course. Talked to Andrew L. about last night, studying for midterms, studying in general while a friend's party at his place was going on below him (hearing laughter!), Thanksgiving weekend, weddings, "FML" situations (a HUGE midterm?!), and more. Auntie Ying and I agreed that we should get together - she did ask me about last night, then wished me a happy birthday. When I saw Auntie Catherine, she remembered that my birthday is tomorrow. I asked Geoffrey whether he got my email, and he said he forgot to reply! He did wish me a happy birthday, though - he'd been in Houston recently after Labor Day to spend time with his family, and gave me an update on his dad since he'd sent us some email about him. I congratulated Brian on his wedding while saying hi to Jane and baby Rebecca, then asked the ugfart where the baby was. He pointed upstairs, and mentioned that he still wanted to go to Fat Dragon. I suggested that we talk about it at the Kwong Chow dinner today since everyone would be there!

Talked to Auntie Doris about babies and the sleeping baby Declan for a while. After saying hi to Julie C. and Julie S., I went upstairs to see whether I could find baby Ayler. I found him under a rather colorful blanket which Mom had given him - he was awake and fed. Talked to him for a few minutes: "Hello, baby!" is getting a bit stale, haha. I should come up with more to say! When Jon and Harmony left, I said I'd see them tonight. At Toddler Sunday School, Shira and Evelyn tried a hula hoop... they seemed to be having fun after they colored!

David was building his house out of huge interlocking foam tiles as usual ("I don't need your help"), James was reading (he remembers who I am - and sat in my lap), and Ramen talked to me for approximately ten minutes about kindergarten / Sparks (Stanley is his leader) / (drawing) Angry Birds and pigs. His mom Jessie says that he had someone to talk to - yes, and I don't mind doing that! Eric came upstairs later to say he was leaving early, so I got him to help sharpen a pencil first. We discussed Friday's program (part 2 of the Dietrich Bonhoeffer movie at Pastor Bob's), DRAGON QUEST, music, bleeps and bloops, ZSNES erasing EVERYTHING, Ultimate, broccoli, ice cream, language, and more. I'll certainly get back to him!

Jambalaya fettuccini, Kirin, Sabrina, LOTR, and birthdays

I got out on time to meet Chrystal at London Drugs, but I just missed both the 401 and 407! We talked about her having Chinese food tomorrow, Boston Pizza, salad, jambalaya fettuccini, paying for ourselves, Emily, Mike, barbecues, the park, Chinese Eric, baby Ayler, her seeing Nathan / Daniel / Michelle / Maddie at Kirin, Phil's farewell on Sunday, Facebook, LOTR not being a ripoff of HARRY POTTER, her parents going back to Hong Kong for a month in September, Harmony / Holly / Myles / Brittney, her seeing Sabrina at the Skytrain station twice this week, Cindy and her birthday, birthdays in general, Pastor Bob, Grandma, and other life stuff. It was good, even if I wanted to go home almost immediately afterwards!

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, zucchini gratin, and FREEDOM

When Eric picked me up, I asked if he were cooking on Sunday at Jeremy's. Unfortunately, he plans to stay out all day. Dude, you're an introvert and should need time to recharge! Oh well... if I sleep in (he thinks "on purpose"), at least I know how to get there! I didn't mind listening to sports radio, haha. We talked about that new Native guy, who apparently has folk music online. Since I've had certain bad experiences with new people in the past (Mr. Creep? Paul?), I'm very leery of them in general. Also talked about the hot weather, Gordon Ramsey's KITCHEN NIGHTMARES, video games, screenshots, skills, and more.

When we got to Pastor Bob's, Randal / Raymond / Connie / Vicky / Christon / Kevin / Jeremy were there already. We had zucchini gratin, chorizo sausage stew, quinoa salad, and other things for dinner. The film on Dietrich Bonhoeffer was interesting enough without the religious angle: war, Hitler, and getting engaged only to be executed! Caught up with a few people (I told Kevin that I hadn't had a chance to ask Steph and Lisa how Finland was), and tried some gluten-free bread (NOT a fan); I heard that Terry is now married (as of last week) to someone named Tiffany. Oh well, he unfriended me on Facebook first, haha. Also heard about Johnny attending Tenth, who ALSO unfriended me on Facebook! Discussed Stanford cooking for Phil's farewell, too... a 12-course meal, served restaurant-style! (with drunken chicken?!) On the way home, Eric bugged me with Christmas music, said I was drunk on a bit of wine (no), and told me to enjoy my freedom - oh, I am!

Pastor Bob Canada divorce laws (dream)

I had a dream that Mom and I were taking a class at a local school; Harmony was going to join us, but she couldn't make it. Christon and others showed up with a bunch of food, and announced that Pastor Bob was leaving the church because he disagreed with the congregational committee's stance on Canada's divorce laws. Pastor Bob and his wife Amy were there to explain their views, but the first thing I thought was "GOOD! SERVICE WILL GET BACK TO NORMAL!" Then Jordan showed up, screaming about a dead body. It was true... Jason had died! Everyone else came from the gym bleachers to discuss these developments. The dream ended when people were writing things down on huge white sheets of paper. Triggers: talking to Christon about Pastor Bob on Sunday, Christon's "life timeline" exercise on Friday, seeing Jordan on Sunday, talking about pastors leaving the church on Friday, and Harmony not being able to make it to church on Sunday. WEIRD!

Water Flying Cloth Midenhall / Peeing all over my FOOT! / No Friday potluck!

Christon emailed us to say that Pastor Bob had double-booked himself for Friday, so we're back to our default location of the seniors lounge. In that case, I really don't have any motivation to go to the potluck / movie / sharing night as it won't be a true OUTING. The weekly tradition is far more important, anyway!

As the Prince of Midenhall Castle in DRAGON WARRIOR 2, you must go to Leftwyne to find your cousin the Prince of Cannock. (and later, the Princess of Moonbrooke) You come across this character who is easily scared!

I put in a code to get a Water Flying Cloth from the Midenhall Castle item shop for only 10 GP, and it glitched the graphics. The first item is supposed to be the said cloth, which sells for 53 GP. Yes, I took advantage of making money!

Alcoholic gummi bears, turnip cake, Grandma losing it, and Christon's executive decisions

I need to try alcoholic gummi bears soon... good thing I have money for the alcohol this time round! Just put the gummi bears (or whatever) in a bowl, soak them with alcohol, put plastic wrap over it, and leave the whole thing in the fridge for a few days! Christon has made another one of his executive decisions regarding next Friday; apparently, "small group outing" will be at Pastor Bob's place near Metrotown for a potluck / sharing time / movie. Lovely. *sarcasm*

Mom says that Ben or Uncle Eric doesn't want their wife / daughter Erin to go to the wedding; they're that influential or controlling?! Shit, if our parents told us not to do something just because of that, we'd do it anyway! Grandma won't be going, but we'll see whether someone like a sick Auntie Teresa will look after her or not. Maybe this can be an excuse; Steph and Lisa might feel bad, though. She says that Grandma is going downhill with dementia / Alzheimer's, which isn't news. She also said stuff about the Grand Canyon, heh. I emphasized NO ESCALATORS, so we'll see. At least she's making lo-bak go (turnip cake), and will drop some off later on her and Dad's way to church tonight. Time to leave since it's a nice day!

Grandma NO FILTER / Dawn and Eni's wedding

Managed to renew most of my library books before going out to Dawn and Eni's wedding and banquet. Somehow, I needed to survive the afternoon and evening with my parents, and also needed to survive tomorrow! The thought of next Saturday kept me going! Mom told me that she had Princess Cruises chocolates for me, along with some instant noodles. "You should boil them in water first to get rid of the wax!" This time, I didn't even bother telling her that it was an urban legend. They're not the most healthy thing to eat, I know, but that doesn't mean the wax thing is TRUE! (she also had no idea how to pronounce "Eni," or where Albania was!)

We discussed Vegas and who might look after Big G, who at least knew she was on her way to a wedding. It wasn't until later when Steph told her that it was Dawn's wedding that she clued in! She kept offering us something to eat - maybe she was hungry - but I told Steph that she'd offered me cookies while a funeral was actually going on once! (even if I'd wanted to eat them, I JUST WOULDN'T!) Again, she has NO FILTER! She asked Steph how long Pastor Bob was going to talk for, and opined that they (ministers) said the same thing every time! My poor sister was trying to shush her! During the prayer, she told Steph to move her purse and program because someone might take them!

Saw Benedict, Jen, Karen Lew, Vania, Uncle Reuben, Auntie Christine, Vivian, Uncle Timothy, Auntie Lillian, Auntie Catherine, Uncle Y.C., Uncle Hansel, Auntie Cathy, Lawrence, Andrew T., Uncle Cho-Kai, Auntie Anna, Linda Yan, Jenny, and others at the wedding at UBC. Jon talked to Dawn's parents Uncle Albert and Auntie Betty, but I figured I could do that later. I expected some religious content, as Dawn's parents still go to church. Not sure how personally religious Dawn is at this point, but it doesn't matter to me. My parents think that she can work on Eni, which I don't think will help if he dislikes it. I'm not saying there can't be religious conversions or whatever, but it's none of our business! Jon decided to clown around with his tie, and put it around his head for Steph to take a picture. The actual wedding ceremony was pretty good, and PASTOR BOB officiated?! (for some reason - Eric says "declining vision," and I say "only met the guy THREE TIMES!" - I couldn't recognize him at first) I guess it makes sense since he was pastoring in Hong Kong for a number of years. The ug told me about the Whip last week; I'd heard about it, and it seemed to go well. I liked Eni's mom's name, which is a variant spelling of Tatiana. :D

Later, Pastor Bob said it was good to see me there; I assume Jon had finished explaining our connection to Dawn's family since I'm sure he doesn't know that, and Dad came up to bug us jokingly about something. We asked Pastor Bob if he could see a resemblance, and he said yes. Later, we waited outside for some free coffee; I got green tea, and Grandma settled for hot water since there wasn't any hot chocolate. It was good just talking to people afterwards; Geoffrey is so tall now, haha. He says he misses Canada a lot, but will have to stay in Hong Kong for a few years yet! Said hi to Dawn's parents, who did come here from Hong Kong too.

The family decided to go to Granville Island later since it was near the restaurant for dinner. (Steph drove us there since she wasn't going to dinner; I told her that I'd forgotten Lisa's chocolate, but there was no room in Steph's clutch purse for it anyway) Had saffron and pecan bread from a bakery (interesting yellow coloring inside!), ate mango ice cream, and got some cooked sausage; I'll have mine for breakfast tomorrow, I guess! A bird pooped on Harmony's jacket, so she and Dad were cleaning it up! At Dockside, I found a use for Harmony's notebook... writing tag prompts! I saw Auntie Teresa, who said hi to me - since I don't have anything to say to her, I didn't say anything beyond a curt "hi."

Jon, Harmony, Lincoln, Karen Lew, and I spent time talking about housing / Eric Ho / Holly / Richmond / Joyce Station / minimalism in baby stuff / red wine / Mom's alcohol tolerance / upcoming weddings / Myles (Whistler as a wedding venue?!) / Sean C. / Uncle Keith the real estate guy / life updates / Emily Carr / pregnancy / RCMP / Citrus / Richmond / Joyce working for Facebook briefly. Megan and Andy came by with their 20-month-old son Joshua, who liked looking around at things. We said hi to him, although he was shy... understandable! Dinner was chowder or salad; steak, chicken, or vegetarian; coffee, tea, and tiramisu. We laughed at Uncle Albert's speech, but Auntie Betty really brought the religious points home when she spoke! Oh well, at least the speeches (the others weren't Bible-based!) weren't interminably long! Saw Ivan and Karen Choo later; Karen said she DID get my email and meant to respond with a White Spot lunch invite to celebrate our birthdays, but got swamped with work. She says maybe mid-April would work for her; we'll see! I'll have to tell Randal about this tomorrow if I see him, haha. Everyone laughed when Eni said he was looking forward to getting to know Dawn better, hehe.

Afterwards, my parents decided to go to Shoppers Drug Mart. (Mom was frustrated that Grandma kept telling everyone that she'd just gotten back from Hong Kong, and threatened to pack her off to Hong Kong to live with Uncle Michael instead if she wanted to go there so badly!) I was tasked with staying in the car so Grandma wouldn't wander off. She asked me three times in ten minutes what took them so long, asked whether "White Kid" (white Eric) had a girlfriend yet, and told me that she recognized "E," "R," and "S" from the Shoppers Drug Mart. (she was VERY SURPRISED when I told her that particular store location never closed!) She also told me that she knows the English letters for "Shoppers Drug Mart" and "London Drugs" are different, even though she doesn't know what they say! Maybe Lisa is right, and Big G is playing us all for a bunch of fools when she says she doesn't know English! Dad let me return my library books which couldn't be renewed anymore - well, I have one which I haven't finished, but nobody else has requested it.

At home, Eric called me when I'd just gotten in the door; I heard the "beep" and figured I'd catch him online instead! Of course, I had to restart the computer first after I caught up on things. It was then that I got an unexpected offliner from someone, which was nice, but NOT as nice as the news that Vancouver had a 3-2 OT win over Colorado! As I thought, Eric got back to me online to say that I was going to "flip-flop" about going to church. (and bug me about 54-40's SINCE WHEN, and my vision) I have to go tomorrow, though; I won't get a ride to the baby shower from someone if I don't, and I won't get a ride to the Italian food dinner from Steph if I don't go to the shower! Thank goodness the baby shower provides me with an excuse to get out of a thank-you lunch at Tsui Woo! Every time I type "baby shower," I want to type "bridal shower" - WTF, brain?! I also reminded Steph that maybe she should get something for Jane; I just got her a dollar store photo frame in a very small gift bag, but that's just me and my budget!

Berman, vibrators, Calla NOT Kayla, binoculars, Auntie Grace, and Green Village

Surprised Eric this morning by answering the phone with "Wedding Forum - how may I help you?" Hahaha! We discussed many things on the way to church: weddings in general, good friends, Christian music / static / the Shell Busey home improvement show / 99.3 the Fox, his meetings after church today and next week, religion, funerals, morbid stuff, wedding shows, TLC, things working out after all ride-wise, how I was "drunk" / "getting married," flipping through a Henri Nouwen devotional (of ALL the reading material I could have chosen?!), and more. Since he opted to jaywalk when we parked, I went to the crosswalk and avoided an awkward encounter with Randal. I know it shouldn't be, but it still kind of is for some odd reason. As it is, he said "Morning" to me when I exited the Sunfire since he was passing by; I just said "hello" in response.

Got into the sanctuary, said hi to Joanna and Priscilla on the other side (it IS Spring Break!), saw Enoch, then noted Paul's presence. I was determined not to let him have the power to ruin my day, so reminded myself of that. Thank goodness he didn't sit close by, although he did say hi to MY friend Jeremy, whom I am protective of! (Jon also said hi to him) Talked to Nathan W. about his folding the bulletin in creative ways, and noted Jon talking to Jeremy about French Press coffee (incentive to attend Sunday School) and the Whip later. Gave Jon his envelope from Berman and Grace, and noticed that Pastor Bob mispronounced Calla's name as "Kayla" - I'm not even sure HOW that computes in his mind! There was also a very brief question and answer session after the offering; Eric later told me that the plan was to make it a regular part of service. Oh dear... more excuse to leave early!

Made sure to say hi to Grandma and tell her that we'd be going to dinner with Jon tomorrow, even though she won't remember. Auntie Eva wanted to make sure I knew the plans - yes, of course! Went into the fellowship hall and said hi to Deb, Auntie Soo, baby Ava, Adam, Andrew, Lawrence, Amanda, and others. Yes, my parents get back tomorrow from their South American cruise! Checked with Jon about stuff tomorrow, which was fine. Went upstairs and said hi to Mel, Frances, Micah (who wouldn't hold hands with his little friend), little Joanna, Benedict (who said the sleepover went as expected), Martin, Sarah C., Mei Lin, Auntie Vivian, and others.

Saw Jessie, Lanie, Rachel's grandma, new kids named Jared L. (3) and Natalie (1), Ashley (gave her a Kleenex when she cried), David, Evelyn, Ramen, Shira, and James at Toddler Sunday School. Played with toys, cars, Legos, binoculars, and puzzles; also indulged James wanting to touch the subtle bling on my blue sweater, and his seeming need to hold my hands. Learned that Ashley is allergic to hand sanitizer, which does happen. It was fun, and I had missed that whole thing.

Afterwards, I checked with Jon about his teaching at the HOHOHOs, and he figures that he'll start at 3 and be here at 4:30. All I gotta do is tell Grandma not to cook anything at least 20 times tomorrow afternoon, hahaha. Doesn't matter if Jon's invited Eric to the Hog Shack / hockey game plans, although we shouldn't count on Big G to pay for the whole thing! I said hi to Pastor Edward; when Auntie Grace (with Uncle George) spotted me, she gave me a big hug hello! (I'm sure Dave and Tiffany are doing well) Went to Green Village for lunch with Grandma, Uncle Eric, Auntie Brenda, Auntie Eva, Uncle Percy, and Auntie Paula - yes, I can understand Chinese!

After Auntie Eva filled up at the gas station (then bought oranges and milk at the nearby Safeway), she took us back to the townhouse. Grandma took her purse into the washroom - like I told Steph on the phone later, WHO'S GOING TO STEAL IT?! She also forgot where her room even WAS in the house. *sigh* Now she's cleaning while I'm watching UNTOLD STORIES OF THE E.R., KING TUT TOMB STORIES, and more. Some poor guy on this show has a vibrator stuck up his ass, and insists on anonymity. Good luck with that one! (especially since you need a gastroenterologist and anesthesia!)

Progress means GROUNDHOG DAY / He's my biological brother, man!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Eric said that I had to make a decision on leaving to see GROUNDHOG DAY at 6:50 - I HATE PEOPLE! At least I was on page 63 of 75, and not 12 of 62 as I was last week; his early worship practices drive me INSANE! On the way over, he tried convincing me that I did like people and that I was buying into bad things... NO! He also said that there were people in the weekly tradition - I KNOW, BUT IT'S NOT REAL LIFE! We also discussed laptop noise (he came over for a while to look into it later), annoying people, empathy for people (not for those who insult me without asking for forgiveness), James (who left a link to Monster Magnet's SPACE LORD for me to look at later), gas prices being as high as 140 lately, traffic, swearing, soap, him and Alistair going to the game tomorrow, buying popcorn / on-sale (pineapple) juice / butter / on-sale pop at Safeway later, Chinese Eric, good news, why he was trying to get me out of the house (I LIKE BEING ALONE, OKAY?!), and more. He also fielded a call from Christon wanting to know about the media player - WAIT TILL WE GET THERE SINCE WE'RE RUNNING LATE! (NOT MY FAULT!)

When Eric and I got to church, people had already set up chips / beef jerky (not Chinese-style) / grapes / dried fruit / drinks already. Randal, Pastor Bob, Raymond, and I talked about KONY 2012, the guy who was caught naked and masturbating, reading banned books (Randal's heard of THREE WILD SWANS?!), C.S. Lewis books (no escapism for Randal!), using the shell cracker implement for crab nowadays instead of cracking the hard shell with our teeth like we did when we were kids, the different types of beef jerky, and more. Talked to Kevin and Christon for a bit, too. Jon came in a bit later, and we were both surprised to see each other - I told him about the envelope that came in for him here, but I have no idea who it's from since I didn't even look!

Also reminded him about Hog Shack on Monday and my money situation; he'd forgotten that Big G would be there, haha! Later, he figured that she might like it anyway since she'd seemed to be fine with it last time - hopefully, she'll treat us since she was in a good mood on Wednesday! Also told him that my White Spot apple pie WAS in my plans, although I'm sure he thought I was copying them! (Harmony was at home sleeping - neither of us blamed her!) The movie was like I remembered - "I AM A GOD! I've been burned, stabbed, electrocuted, and died many times over! LET'S HAVE FUN AND BREAK THE LAW! Okay, I'm tired of this shit!" Thanks to good timing on my body's end, I skipped out on most religious discussion. Said hi to Chris and Sabrina, who were there for the Awana sleepover.

Later, Eric and I went into the kitchen, where Randal was telling Pastor Bob that the movie's art imitated his life. (piano lessons) I'd surprised Pastor Bob earlier by saying that yes, Jon IS my biological brother like we told Randal years ago! (Jon had been planning the Jazz Festival with Jeremy, but noted that he'd have a kid by then - I told Pastor Bob that we had a "family thing" in June, but Jon had to decline because his kid would be two weeks old by then) We gave Jon a ride home after discussing the movie's timeline NORMALLY / joking about Beefy Beef, during which he and Eric discussed Alistair / Harmony napping a lot - being up all night (not good for her) / local pizza places. Then Eric and I discussed St. Patrick's Day / Irish accents / Guinness, Cracked.com, science saying the brain physically rejects new tastes like musical preferences (his is doing it), "excuses" for me and Bible Study (I'll probably be at home doing what I WANT next week - THANK GOD!), curling, death threats, Ben and Jerry's ice cream, the 7-11, laptop airflow, screwdrivers / tools, bottled water, friendliness, James' offline YM message (I WASN'T EVEN ONLINE AT 6:55!) and Eric's "response" to it, and more. I'm just glad I will be able to RELAX next week with the familiar swirl of the radio and online stuff around me. :)

Baby Dragon, cruising, passport guarantees, Christian bookstores, and more

I'm all churched-out, and don't want to do it again for at LEAST another two weeks! SO KNACKERED! Eric picked me up after 9, and bugged me about having beef for breakfast: "What if that's what Christon has gotten together for lunch?!" Somehow, I didn't think that would happen... I was right, since we had noodles / subs / grapes / strawberries / kiwis! We talked about BS, Bible Study, unfortunate abbreviations, Phil, Pastor Bob, spoiling the kids with jelly and chocolate hearts, his guaranteeing to the government that I would be too crazy to leave the country (DON'T DO THAT!), Chinese Eric, Valentine's Day, dreaming, what I did yesterday, quotes, MOTHER 3 on Hard Mode, FINAL FANTASY, video games, forums, GARBAGE DAY on Youtube, and more. When we got to church, I told him not to abandon me again - I met him at the church door, heh. Talked to Phil about the passport thing; since it was more convenient to do it at lunch, that worked for me!

Sat by Jeremy and Mark, and talked about wedding invites and furniture clean-out; when I said hi to Pastor Bob, he wanted to know who I was! I suppose that could be a fair question, hahaha. (Eric thinks I "rarely" come nowadays - HEY, I STILL ATTEND CHURCH MORE OFTEN THAN MY SISTER, OKAY?!) It was interesting to have an art slant on the sermon, but I was still looking for coffee afterwards - I asked Jordan, who told me that there wasn't any! Oh well. Said hi and talked to Reigan, Auntie Eva (Grandma arrangements - she'll call - "I'm so behind since I have no computer!"), Auntie Paula (her health - she thanked me for my concern IN ENGLISH!), Auntie Ying (future Vancouver lunch plans?), Sheena (late birthday wishes), Amanda, and Quan. Also talked to Lincoln (busy AND just engaged two days before his Valentine's Day birthday!), Andrew (biology / midterm papers / getting stuff done early), Mom (Polly and Alan's lucky money - she unexpectedly paid me back for the passport photo costs!), Harmony (maternity leave / research into expensive carseats and strollers / naming / a year off / active and kicking Baby Dragon!), Polly and Alan (THANKS FOR THE MONEY! AND AWANA!), Vania (tagging), Deb, baby Declan, Dylan (belated birthday wishes), Sonya, Nathan W., Uncle Johnny, and others. SO MANY BABIES AND CHILDREN!

Went upstairs to Toddler Sunday School; saw James (who leaned on me and held my hands), Mattias (I had to play the role of "kiddy bathroom attendant"), new kids, a baby whom I just called "baby," Jessie, Rachel and her grandma, Jonathan, Anastasia, Ashley, Ramen, and Shira. The kids were really hyper today, but I gave out the candy anyway. They liked the slides, trucks, puzzles, and all the usual toys. Chung told me that he won't let Mattias have sugar; I guess I should have let the kid have one or two jelly hearts before Daddy showed up, haha. When I got downstairs, Grandma didn't know where Mom and Dad were; they were in the front! Said hi to a bunch of people in the fellowship hall, and sat by Mark later at the welcome lunch. He remarked on how little Noah looked like a KILL BILL character with his white dress shirt and black tie, and how all the other kids (Anne / Sophia / Olivia / Nathaniel / Abigail / Joshua / Keenan / Benjamin / Mattias) were running around and creating mayhem. You got that right!

I said hi to baby Marcus / baby Emma and her dad Tim / baby Ava, and talked to Acer / Mark / Geoffrey / some Hong Kong guy / Alan / Tracy / Auntie Lillian about Craigslist job searching from Hong Kong / crowded conditions in Hong Kong / Translink / transit / fare evasion / feeling ripped off / NOODLES FOR US WHEN THE KIDS FINISHED! Told Jon about spaghetti squash exploding, and that funny pee sign. Phil and Eric helped me with my passport documents, which was excellent. Also talked to Sophia and Helen about Steph / family vacations / travel / Strawberry Shortcake gum - Elaine IS coming back in a bit before New Hampshire and her husband Matt's family, as Andrea said a while ago! The family meeting was about transitions, change, questions, inter-generational stuff, worship, devotions, and more. Got a lot of tag prompt writing done, and laughed when Mark inserted pencils in his shoe.

Afterwards, I finally made tentative plans with Randal to meet at the Aberdeen Tim Horton's on Thursday; thank goodness I checked, and there is NO HOCKEY THAT NIGHT! I don't mind if he calls me after work that evening, which is progress. Grandma was still knitting outside since my parents were in a meeting; she asked where Jon was, but I told her that he and Harmony had left earlier to buy baby stuff. Eric wondered whether we had to take her home, but we didn't. She recognized White Kid, but (as I told him later) might not recognize Wu-So-Lo (but he DOES have a mustache now) - she definitely won't recognize Mark! On the way home, we discussed banana bruising / Teunis and Tess / co-existing with Mr. Creep and Paul (who was elsewhere today - PHEW!) / the Fellowship AGM / Greek food / Chinese Eric's health issues and whether he COULD eat Greek food / my parents' cruise / advice / blocking people temporarily or staying offline till I got my stuff done / Texas / NOT BEING IN LOVE WITH MATT! At home, I napped for a bit, then checked Facebook to find the news of Lincoln and Karen's engagement. I immediately called Steph to catch her up on things; Karen Grace is excited about being an aunt, too! Discussed research, passport stuff, money, food, and other things. Interesting, but long day!

Copa Café, Mattias, Marcus, ribeye steak, too-mushy cards

Woke up pretty early, but it was okay - got a couple of surprising messages from James and Ryan, which were a plus! Auntie Catherine said that she'd bring her grandkids Mattias and Marcus along to the Copa Café, which was easy to find from the King Edward Station - it's been forever since I've eaten a meal with kids who are 3 and 1, hahaha. Turns out they got there in the rainy weather before I did, but it was perfectly fine. I noted that all the water and tea glasses were being kept well away from Marcus, who wants to grab everything in sight - like Benjamin at that age, haha. Auntie Catherine asked what I'd prefer to eat: ribeye steak (for the iron) and eggs (for the protein) it was!

She said that she missed me on Sundays, wondered whether there was a reason why I wasn't going to church lately, and said I could call her after 9 PM if I ever wanted to talk about it. Trust me, she doesn't want to know the reasons (other than a crazy sleep schedule) - that involves some things I'm really not comfortable with discussing, actually! (my sister / my own feelings on religion) She wondered whether my family had had CNY dinner yet; when I said tomorrow would be it, she asked whether it had anything to do with Steph's work schedule, and wondered what my sister did besides work. She's so gentle and means well, but I don't have the heart to tell her anything beyond the superficial "she's pretty busy with work and a lot of stuff in her off time!" Well, I wouldn't anyway, but you know what I mean. I definitely don't need people to PRAY FOR MY SOUL!

Speaking of prayer, Mattias said that we had to pray before we ate, after becoming impatient to eat Chinese buns with butter. Why not... he's a cute kid, and I have enough respect for his grandmother! He wanted everyone else's food, of course - I wasn't surprised! I talked to him about cars, trucks, buses, rice, noodles, bread, school, friends, and other simple topics while asking a fussy baby Marcus if he wanted water. I had to hold Marcus for a few minutes while Auntie Catherine went off with Mattias to the washroom; while he was fussing, I tried my best to send out "I AM NOT ABUSING THIS KID - HE'S JUST FUSSY!" vibes to the other people in the restaurant, haha. I politely thanked her after brunch (she also offered me some of her noodles with preserved vegetables, too) - good thing it included COFFEE! Mattias also wondered if I had presents for him - HAHAHAHA, no! I'm chill about that kind of "rudeness" from kids, since it could be so much worse!

Also went shopping for some minor stuff (toilet paper / on-sale pads / Steph's birthday card / pasta sauce which Eric can help me open) at London Drugs and Shoppers Drug Mart afterwards. The one problem with family-oriented greeting cards is that most of them are TOO MUSHY for my usual taste! (note: I don't DO mushy / sentimental / emotional unless there is a VERY GOOD reason for such) While I was walking to the door, Bob spotted me and said hey - I smiled and said the same thing. Good to see him, actually! Might take a nap before the hockey game starts at 7, haha.

MARIO music / Emergency laundry and showers / Bob and eviction

Woke up with MARIO music stuck in my head, haha. Then I discovered that I had to do an emergency load of laundry and take an emergency shower; I was NOT impressed! While I was doing that, I saw a notice from my neighbor Bob the Bike Guy - apparently, the management is evicting him for being half a month late on rent, despite his being here for 25 years! Then I saw him, so we chatted for a few minutes about that situation. I also told him about the mouse I'd seen; yeah, the glue traps don't seem to do much! He said he'll mention the mice as well to Global (the local news station which doesn't like the management company too much), so that's something. I also replied to Mandy's email, heh.

Bobby, cappuccino, Chantelle, brandy beans, and US timezones

Talked to Bob Singh via FB messages for a bit last night since he was wired on Tim Horton's cappuccino... I could have told him that it was a bad idea to have one at 11 PM, haha! Got closure on the "wanna hump" FB chat message that he sent once - "OMG... are you serious?! That sounds like drunk me! Sorry if I offended you - hope you weren't weirded out!" I'm totally serious, man! Chantelle also said that she did indeed want brandy beans this Christmas (I remembered without the Gmail event reminder!), so I will be looking for those after the Halloween marketing is over! She wants to send me some totally awesome stuff too; YAY! Of course I sent her a message with addresses and plans! Heard that Ryan Kesler will be returning tomorrow vs. the Rangers - a funny comment I read was "so... will he be playing naked?! :P" HAHAHAHA!

You Are the Pacific Time Zone

You are a ton of fun to be around. You have a wicked sense of humor, and you're very playful.

You are a free spirit who needs nothing more than a beautiful day to feel at peace with the world.

You like initiating things and activities. You're big on getting a group of friends together.

Well, good.... because that's where I live! (but in the Canada part! :P)

Raymond, horehound candy, Jennifer Temple's family and friends, ZELDA in FF1

Found good torrents, haha! Talked to Vanessa briefly on MSN about Thanksgiving, Jehovah's Witnesses, shit, and more. Had a dream where my friends were at a conference, and I unfortunately saw Raymond stretched out on a bed. He said that he'd never go out with a rude girl like me (!), so I told him exactly what I thought of that before going to help Jon pack up some stuff. We found one of Mom's owl clocks in a drawer, and added that to a suitcase on a luggage cart labelled "CHENG." After that, we all went to Heritage Village to meet Jennifer T.'s (tehgreenfairy) friends and family. Bob was sufficiently interesting, while Jenny died within a few hours of our sampling delicious horehound candy canes! I have NO idea what this means... o_O

You Are a Colorful and Vivacious Shoe

In life, you'd rather play than work. You're apt to quit any task that doesn't nourish your creativity and inner child.

You are happiest in the comfort of your own home. You know how to make things nice for yourself.

You are always interested in how and why things work. You are naturally curious.

You love change and are able to adapt to any situation. You don't have the typical fear of the unknown.

Why? Because 'Mo Mowlan Bolan' was taken...

Cavities, Homestar Runner / South Park / Spongebob Squarepants, hockey history

My dentist appointment with Sean went okay - drills, lights, watching for headaches, hardening, filling cavities, and more. But then some nosy old guy wanted to know what I was reading at he bus stop - NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS! Got home to find Teunis awake and mildly complaining about the Homestar Runner mix that I was playing this morning while he was sleeping: "You KNOW that audio invades my dreams, right? Since I have no context about Homestar Runner (having never seen the show), I had REALLY messed-up dreams involving Spongebob Squarepants and South Park!" Sorry, but HAHAHAHAHAHA! Discussed translating, immersion in a language, switching languages (I expect ERIC to do that when he's bugging me...), Valium, immunity to sleeping pills, anime / breaking stereotypes (because he himself definitely doesn't fit into them), Ativan, white grape juice, NOT going to see movies he's ALREADY seen with Kaili tonight since they can't afford it, frozen yogurt, desensitization to "rants," baths, a fried brain, and more.

On 24 May 1994, the Canucks played a Game 5 and advanced to the Stanley Cup finals. Today is May 24th, 2011 - and they're playing another Game 5, seventeen years later TO THE DAY. History will be made - GO CANUCKS GO!!!!

And it's Bob Dylan's 70th birthday today, too!

I hate when people do that [23:18:19] guaaaache: I'm the most introverted person I know [23:18:31] guaaaache: but then, I guess introverts aren't out there exposing their introversion [23:18:39] NyquilSteve317: me at a rave is probably the best [23:18:47] NyquilSteve317: find me a corner and some booze and no ppl [23:18:58] NyquilSteve317: if there is a spot at a rave with no ppl and booze, i will find it [23:19:04] guaaaache: I even act introverted when I'm high on ecstasy [23:19:19] NyquilSteve317: i force myself to be extroverted, and then im overly so [23:19:27] NyquilSteve317: but i don't really do that anymore [23:19:41] guaaaache: I don't see the point in that, I gain nothing from it [23:19:47] guaaaache: except fatigue [23:19:50] NyquilSteve317: yes [23:19:53] NyquilSteve317: and embarassment [23:19:56] Flami: haha, I see [23:21:05] guaaaache: people who try to force me to talk to them are fucking annoying [23:21:24] guaaaache: I don't like it when I literally have to tell someone to fuck off because nothing else works on them [23:21:33] NyquilSteve317: yeah [23:21:41] NyquilSteve317: if it gets to that point, its pretty bad [23:21:43] Flami: exactly [23:21:46] guaaaache: and that's usually after weeks of trying to get away from them [23:22:06] guaaaache: trying to drop hints, saying I'm busy, etc [23:22:22] guaaaache: what I don't get is people who don't really want to be my friend, but still actively seek me out to talk to me about absolutely nothing [23:22:31] NyquilSteve317: yes [23:22:35] NyquilSteve317: terrible shit [23:22:36] Flami: oh yes [23:22:43] NyquilSteve317: less than desireables tend to do this to me [23:22:59] guaaaache: friendships are black and white, they just have to be. if you don't want to be my friend, then please leave me the fuck alone [23:23:26] Flami: exactly [23:23:27] guaaaache: and if I don't want to be your friend, please just accept [23:23:32] Flami: then I don't waste my time on you [23:24:22] guaaaache: I have limited energy when it comes to interacting / socialising with people so I don't particularly want to waste it on stupid games like that [23:25:30] NyquilSteve317: yes [23:25:37] NyquilSteve317: games are not on the agenda for me [23:27:03] guaaaache: being straight forward is the only way [23:27:22] Flami: agreed [23:27:58] guaaaache: lol while we're on this subject, my housemates are really into writing passive-aggressive notes [23:28:09] guaaaache: stuff they could just saw to each others faces most of the time [23:28:34] guaaaache: someone wrote "clean up your shit," and someone else circled "shit" and wrote "why don't you speak proper english?" [23:28:45] guaaaache: then they replied "shit IS an english word, get over it" [23:28:51] AmethystBrackish: I hate passive agressiveness [23:29:28] Flami: ugh, I hate that [23:29:30] guaaaache: I understand writing a note when it's just a general message, but when it's written in a way that it's clearly for someone in particular, just fucking say it to them [23:30:02] Flami: speaking of housemates, are things any better with Jordanian Boy? [23:30:29] guaaaache: haha, Jordanian boy is the one who wrote "why don't you speak proper english" [23:30:33] guaaaache: I just try to ignore him [23:30:41] guaaaache: don't have anything extra to tell right now [23:30:52] Flami: haha... it's a surprise that he wrote that [23:31:06] Flami: trying to ignore him is probably the best course of action [23:31:20] guaaaache: especially because his written english is usually so bad that I don't even understand what's he's trying to say [23:31:33] guaaaache: and he's always offended by swearing [23:31:37] Flami: HA [23:31:41] guaaaache: for a big buff guy, he sure is a whiney little bitch [23:33:00] AmethystBrackish: they usually are [23:33:28] NyquilSteve317: oh hai [23:33:30] guaaaache: yeah. I swear their need to be buff is out of some major insecurity [23:33:38] NyquilSteve317: i just went on a journey [23:33:43] NyquilSteve317: not of sight and sound [23:33:44] guaaaache: where to? [23:33:48] NyquilSteve317: but of the mind [23:34:07] guaaaache: still, where to? [23:34:15] NyquilSteve317: im not sure [23:34:18] NyquilSteve317: i think i was outside [23:34:27] Flami: you think? [23:34:28] NyquilSteve317: it was cooler [23:34:32] Flami: outside where? [23:34:35] guaaaache: where did your mind go and arrive [23:34:50] NyquilSteve317: im drunker than i thought [23:35:08] guaaaache: I wish I was also [23:35:20] guaaaache: might drink my remaining bottle of wine tonight since I get paid tomorrow [23:35:31] NyquilSteve317: wine is silly [23:35:43] NyquilSteve317: and kinda evil [23:35:46] guaaaache: wine in australia is top quality [23:35:53] NyquilSteve317: yellow tail [23:36:01] guaaaache: I don't drink that [23:36:03] guaaaache: I hate the white stuff [23:36:09] guaaaache: I feel like I'm drinking perfume or something [23:36:35] Flami: I drink it occasionally [23:37:17] NyquilSteve317: kate's coming in [23:37:23] guaaaache: there are fake babies on TV that look like they have fetal alcohol syndrome [23:37:31] guaaaache: weird coincidence [23:37:40] *** katiekatenz has joined the conversation. [23:37:52] NyquilSteve317: there she is! [23:37:55] NyquilSteve317: it's kate! [23:38:01] guaaaache: hi, kate [23:38:05] katiekatenz: hi, hi [23:38:10] Flami: hello, Kate [23:38:19] AmethystBrackish: hello, kate... [23:40:56] katiekatenz: you guys scare someone away? [23:41:05] guaaaache: not me, just angel [23:41:09] AmethystBrackish: I don't remember if I was here or not [23:41:12] Flami: not I... Angel [23:41:23] *** NyquilSteve317 has joined the conversation. [23:41:23] guaaaache: so what happened, Alena? [23:41:30] NyquilSteve317: im back [23:41:41] AmethystBrackish: is that when he was talking about all the kinky shit on Ebay? [23:41:47] guaaaache: no [23:41:50] Flami: you could say it was epic [23:41:53] NyquilSteve317: i missed all this [23:41:54] NyquilSteve317: oh well [23:42:04] guaaaache: he was getting pretty heated up about people who don't speak english in public all the time [23:42:07] NyquilSteve317: kate, did they get your university all open again? [23:42:09] katiekatenz: epic? [23:42:12] guaaaache: and can't speak english perfectly or something [23:42:23] katiekatenz: we dont go back until tuesday [23:42:27] AmethystBrackish: ahhh, tell me more [23:42:31] katiekatenz: which it is sunday here [23:42:31] NyquilSteve317: have you enjoyed the break [23:42:38] katiekatenz: i've been lazy [23:42:43] NyquilSteve317: awesome! [23:42:46] katiekatenz: a lot of people freaking out [23:42:47] NyquilSteve317: you deserve a little lazy [23:42:51] guaaaache: I didn't see all of it, Amethyst, my computer died for about 5 minutes and it was over when I came back [23:43:02] Flami: and no... it covered how Angel didn't really get along with or understand Middle Eastern people, and how they were rude or something. [23:43:02] NyquilSteve317: oh yeah? what are they freaking about? no water or what? [23:43:12] Flami: then Rose (moonbathe) said that maybe Angel should actually try to make friends with these people [23:43:14] guaaaache: he was just... getting increasingly upset that we weren't agreeing with him [23:43:26] katiekatenz: yeah, our water's back now for most people, and sewage kinda [23:43:29] AmethystBrackish: oh [23:43:49] katiekatenz: some country towns are pretty much screwed for some time [23:43:59] NyquilSteve317: oh, wow [23:44:05] NyquilSteve317: but still no fatalities? [23:44:06] guaaaache: Oh yeah, he had one experience where he tried to be nice to middle eastern kids at school, and they weren't that responsive... so he decided all middle easterners are rude, and don't try to speak english [23:44:11] Flami: so after a while, Rose was like "gee, I hope you move to Canada - you know, wouldn't want to learn a new language or culture or anything" [23:44:12] katiekatenz: people just freaking... nerves shot to shit and such... i mean, we keep getting aftershocks, and it's been a week now [23:44:47] NyquilSteve317: geeze [23:44:48] NyquilSteve317: still gettin em! thats crazy [23:45:06] Flami: oh, that's right... Angel tried asking them what language they spoke, and was ignored [23:45:17] katiekatenz: yeah, we are all on edge... but dude, we'll survive... us kiwis are tough :D [23:45:24] NyquilSteve317: yes, you are! [23:45:26] guaaaache: yeah, but he's convinced it's because they were being rude [23:45:29] NyquilSteve317: ive seen Xena... i know! [23:45:36] katiekatenz: haha [23:45:40] guaaaache: it could be a variety of reasons. feeling intimidated, not sure what he said, etc [23:45:40] katiekatenz: awesome [23:45:57] Flami: I know that, Mikaela [23:46:12] guaaaache: yeah, he just wouldn't accept that it could have been something else [23:46:16] NyquilSteve317: is he / she dead? [23:46:27] NyquilSteve317: why wasn't he/ she here tonight? [23:46:39] guaaaache: he wants to come to Australia to do post-grad, but I told him he probably shouldn't bother if he can't stand to hear other languages surrounding him all day [23:46:45] guaaaache: he could be i guess? [23:46:51] Flami: last I heard, he / she was trying to sort some shit out with the ex [23:47:04] NyquilSteve317: tinfoil and wax paper [23:47:04] guaaaache: she came to the house and took her stuff or something [23:47:06] AmethystBrackish: true, true... some people have bad experiences, and it ruins situations or some people for them for the rest of their lives. [23:47:32] guaaaache: it's kind of ridiculous to generalise like that, though [23:47:41] NyquilSteve317: ever since I got attacked by that cougar, i have been racist towards cats [23:47:43] guaaaache: last I heard, he might be moving into a smaller unit in the same building he's in now [23:48:12] NyquilSteve317: fuck, it's late [23:48:14] NyquilSteve317: early [23:48:19] NyquilSteve317: glad i don't have anywhere to be [23:48:35] katiekatenz: what time is it over there, steve? [00:14:39] katiekatenz: haha [00:14:53] katiekatenz: smallish? haha, i was young [00:15:06] guaaaache: Kiwi Egg [00:15:21] guaaaache: I will rename it Birdbear [00:15:24] NyquilSteve317: that thing looks angry at the genes it got dealt [00:15:27] guaaaache: or Bearbird, maybe [00:15:31] NyquilSteve317: or lunch [00:15:35] AmethystBrackish: kiwi is good [00:15:41] katiekatenz: that one's clearly fucked in the head... they don't like to come out at night [00:16:19] guaaaache: ok... something cute, then Australian frilled-neck lizard [00:16:45] NyquilSteve317: whenever i see those lizards, i wanna dance with them [00:17:01] guaaaache: they have been known to run up people's legs and bite them on the dick [00:17:04] guaaaache: for some strange reason [00:17:05] NyquilSteve317: we would frolic and spin [00:17:17] guaaaache: wow, apparently we have a type of camel here [00:17:18] NyquilSteve317: well, sometimes ya just gotta have dick, i suppose [00:17:22] guaaaache: well, not here, in the desert [00:17:38] guaaaache: Australian desert animals [00:17:40] Flami: spotted dick? [00:17:52] NyquilSteve317: gross [00:17:59] AmethystBrackish: creepy [00:18:11] NyquilSteve317: brits and their weird-ass pies and shit [00:18:13] NyquilSteve317: meat pie [00:18:20] katiekatenz: righto, fellas... i have to go now, i've talked my man into dyeing my hair for me :P [00:18:21] NyquilSteve317: dick shit [00:18:24] NyquilSteve317: boiled meats [00:18:29] NyquilSteve317: g'nite, kate kate [00:18:30] katiekatenz: enjoy [00:18:38] NyquilSteve317: oh wait [00:18:38] guaaaache: enjoy the chemicals [00:18:40] NyquilSteve317: im drunk [00:18:46] katiekatenz: i shall! [00:18:49] NyquilSteve317: did that say you're leaving? [00:18:52] NyquilSteve317: jesus [00:18:55] guaaaache: and the resulting colours [00:18:57] NyquilSteve317: its late and booze [00:19:04] katiekatenz: purple!!! yay [00:19:10] Flami: wow, I can see previews for the link here [00:19:11] katiekatenz: yes [00:19:14] NyquilSteve317: i should dye my hair [00:19:15] Flami: see ya [00:19:16] katiekatenz: bye [00:19:21] NyquilSteve317: bye [00:19:27] guaaaache: we have terrible spiders [00:19:28] *** katiekatenz has left the conversation. [00:19:34] guaaaache: not sure I'm willing to google image them [00:19:47] Flami: probably not a good idea [00:19:54] guaaaache: we have a huge spider that actually attacks you [00:20:01] guaaaache: like it chases you [00:20:03] guaaaache: and bites you [00:20:11] guaaaache: I've never seen one [00:20:16] NyquilSteve317: im out [00:20:21] *** NyquilSteve317 has left the conversation. [00:20:32] guaaaache: he must have felt himself passing out [00:20:42] guaaaache: it's almost dinner time here [00:20:56] AmethystBrackish: or he passed out face first on the keyboard haha [00:21:09] guaaaache: but he said he was going? [00:21:20] Flami: ah, okay... I should probably leave too.. time to try sleeping! (12:21 AM here) [00:21:28] guaaaache: so he was like 'shit, bye *die*' [00:21:33] Flami: EWWWWWWWW! what kind of spider is that? [00:21:35] AmethystBrackish: pretty much [00:21:39] guaaaache: LOL [00:21:48] guaaaache: it's called a funnel web [00:22:02] guaaaache: he's a hunting spider, but makes a meshy sticky web [00:22:11] guaaaache: that spins around into the shape of a funnel [00:22:13] Flami: note to self: do not Google Image Search that [00:22:25] guaaaache: it's big and black with a kind of purple bum [00:22:43] guaaaache: it's kind of like a tarantula [00:22:45] guaaaache: which we also have [00:23:08] guaaaache: but the difference is the tarantula gives you a lot more warning before attacking [00:23:18] Flami: ah [00:23:37] AmethystBrackish: omg I googled it, and started twitching [00:23:49] guaaaache: the funnel web lifts the front half of its body off the ground to line up its teeth, then runs at you only on 4 legs [00:24:06] guaaaache: you know what freaked me out when I found out? [00:24:10] guaaaache: spiders actually have arms [00:24:25] guaaaache: little arms which they use to push food into their mouth [00:24:39] AmethystBrackish: haha [00:24:45] AmethystBrackish: nom nom nom [00:25:00] guaaaache: Funnel Web [00:25:14] Flami: ack! [00:25:23] guaaaache: I actually got scared [00:25:24] AmethystBrackish: *twitch* [00:25:27] guaaaache: i didn't want to click on the pictures [00:26:25] guaaaache: also, the funnel web is very venomous [00:26:50] guaaaache: but we have this other massive spider which is harmless [00:26:53] guaaaache: it's just fucking huge [00:27:03] AmethystBrackish: glad you used "venomous" and not "poisonous" [00:27:29] guaaaache: Huntsman Spider [00:27:32] guaaaache: what's the difference? [00:27:59] AmethystBrackish: poison is ingested while venom is injected [00:29:00] guaaaache: I'm confused [00:29:05] guaaaache: why were you saying you're glad? [00:30:19] AmethystBrackish: a friend of mine used to always start going on a tangent when someone would mix them up. It kinda rubbed off on me. [00:30:41] Flami: nice! [00:30:46] guaaaache: ah ok, well I guess it would be wrong to say it's poisonous [00:30:55] guaaaache: since it has venom and it injects [00:30:56] AmethystBrackish: since you're not eating it [00:31:21] guaaaache: do you guys use facebook? [00:31:32] guaaaache: do you have people on your list who act really differently on there compared to real life? [00:31:32] AmethystBrackish: sadly, yes lol [00:31:35] guaaaache: it freaks me out [00:31:44] guaaaache: sadly, me too. I hate the website so much, and yet I remain [00:31:53] AmethystBrackish: samesies [00:32:19] guaaaache: it's made people so lazy and shallow when it comes to communicating [00:32:45] AmethystBrackish: I love when people post personal crap about their lives on there. I barely post anything anymore [00:33:18] guaaaache: yeah, they forget that they've added all these people who can SEE that shit [00:33:40] guaaaache: I don't understand people who add like 500, 1000, or more people [00:33:49] guaaaache: you can't keep track of everyone, what's the point? [00:34:01] guaaaache: and no doubt those people aren't following your page, either [00:34:31] AmethystBrackish: like this one chick I knew in high school said something along the lines of "I can't believe he hit me," and stated smack-talking him. then the next week, she was talking about how she hopes her dad is okay in the hospital, but she's on her way to the city to see her boyfriend. the guy who punched her face in [00:35:07] guaaaache: that is fucked up [00:35:32] guaaaache: there's some girl on my list who keeps writing "just had the best day with my beautiful name. Thank you so much, Raymond, for taking me out for the wonderful lunch and blah blah blah" [00:35:41] guaaaache: you know, I would just say that to the person directly and NOT on facebook! [00:35:53] guaaaache: man not name lol [00:36:01] AmethystBrackish: lol [00:36:28] guaaaache: I heard this hilarious conversation on the train once [00:36:35] Flami: haha... I use Facebook [00:36:48] guaaaache: these two people who obviously worked together, and the guy was leaving the office [00:37:01] Flami: I don't get that... I know people who've added more than 1500 [00:37:08] guaaaache: the woman was like "well, now that you're leaving, we should figure out how we're going to stay in touch... do you have facebook?" [00:37:10] AmethystBrackish: The only thing I ever posted on there that was kinda out of the ordinary for me was on my birthday... my boyfriend got me a lightsaber, and I just had to post how much I loved it and him for getting it. [00:37:24] Flami: haha, nice [00:37:28] guaaaache: he said: "well, yeah, but I haven't logged in like a year... I don't see the point" [00:37:38] guaaaache: she said: "oh, it's just easier to stay in touch on facebook" [00:37:48] guaaaache: he said: "I don't see how, I have a phone and email address" [00:37:54] AmethystBrackish: lol [00:38:01] Flami: people love the Internet [00:38:03] guaaaache: five minutes passed when she kept trying to convince him to use facebook because 'it's easier' [00:38:32] guaaaache: and then he cracked, and yelled at her: "JANELLE, I AM NOT GOING TO USE FACEBOOK TO TALK TO YOU! WE ARE FUCKING NEIGHBOURS! WE LIVE IN THE SAME BUILDING, AND YOU HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER!" [00:38:55] AmethystBrackish: I'm not going to lie... I facebook stalk the shit out of everyone I know that I'm too afraid won't remember me, or I wasn't cool enough for [00:39:06] guaaaache: oh yeah, I do that too [00:39:09] AmethystBrackish: LOL [00:39:12] Flami: HAHAHA [00:39:22] guaaaache: I just see if anyone has their profile partially available [00:39:31] guaaaache: because they're too dumb to change the settings and privatise everything [00:39:42] guaaaache: I can see some people's walls and photos even though I'm not their friend [00:40:27] AmethystBrackish: yeah, facebook has too many privacy settings. I'm not sure if mine is private or not [00:40:54] guaaaache: I periodically check because when they make changes, some things go back to default [00:41:08] guaaaache: which means your stuff is set to "viewable by friends and their friends" [00:41:13] guaaaache: I don't want "their friends" to see anything [00:41:17] AmethystBrackish: O_O lol [00:41:45] guaaaache: that's why I can see some people's page because we have mutual friends [00:43:00] AmethystBrackish: I hate that my full name is in the link [00:43:10] guaaaache: you can change that [00:43:27] AmethystBrackish: can you... ooooh, I'm learning. tell me more [00:43:32] guaaaache: I have a made-up last name on there [00:43:40] guaaaache: um, just go into settings and you should be able to find it [00:44:02] guaaaache: I don't know exactly where to tell you because my facebook is in french [00:44:08] guaaaache: so I can't tell you the exact english links to go to [00:44:20] AmethystBrackish: lol why french? [00:44:39] guaaaache: I can speak some french [00:45:04] Flami: yeah, good idea [00:45:22] guaaaache: good idea? [00:45:30] Flami: mine is in Pirate, so I wouldn't be able to tell you, either [00:45:40] Flami: good idea to check the privacy settings [00:45:46] AmethystBrackish: I should change mine to spanish, but I know one of these days I'll forget what I did. when I come on I'll be like "WTF is this bullshit?" [00:45:56] guaaaache: LOL I was just going to mention the pirate one [00:46:20] guaaaache: lol, sometimes I'm worried I won't understand a word in french, and fuck something up [00:46:22] guaaaache: but it's ok so far [00:46:39] guaaaache: nothing is worded too complicated on facebook [00:47:44] AmethystBrackish: haha yeah. maybe I should at least learn to read spanish, even if I can't speak it [00:48:03] Flami: haha [00:48:11] AmethystBrackish: can you see my profile doohicky? [00:48:15] guaaaache: I read and write so much better than I speak [00:48:58] guaaaache: just info, profile picture, and the school you went to [00:49:02] guaaaache: also your friends list [00:49:07] guaaaache: tell me if mine's fine? [00:49:42] AmethystBrackish: current city, hometown, and profile pic [00:50:07] guaaaache: cool [00:50:12] guaaaache: safe :-) [00:50:47] AmethystBrackish: what info is visible on mine? [00:50:53] Flami: what about mine? [00:51:05] AmethystBrackish: female, and a picture of a banana [00:51:11] Flami: haha, phew [00:51:31] Flami: it's the REJECTED banana! :D [00:51:47] AmethystBrackish: it looks cracked out [00:52:02] guaaaache: WE ARE ALL SMART [00:52:07] Flami: haha... you should see it [00:52:17] guaaaache: I almost want to add you guys now, so I have smart people on my list [00:52:19] guaaaache: but that's random [00:52:38] AmethystBrackish: go ahead, I'd feel special [00:52:49] Flami: YAY FOR BEING SMART! [00:53:03] Flami: haha, I've gotten more random friend requests before [00:53:12] Flami: so yeah, go for it [00:53:41] guaaaache: awesome! [00:53:47] guaaaache: I prefer to have strangers on my list, actually [00:53:49] guaaaache: thanks, guys [00:53:55] AmethystBrackish: haha [00:54:22] AmethystBrackish: I'm trying to figure out how to hide my damn friends list [00:54:39] guaaaache: you have to unclick something in your settings, maybe [00:55:06] AmethystBrackish: haha, found it [00:55:08] Flami: something like that, maybe [00:56:05] Flami: Ye got a request to join your crew. [00:56:18] guaaaache: yew [00:56:30] Flami: "Ahoy There! 1 sorry lout thinks they're yer mate!" [00:56:30] guaaaache: you have to read that in the accent of cat [00:56:31] guaaaache: yew [00:56:38] guaaaache: HAHAHAHA [00:56:49] AmethystBrackish: haha wtf? [00:57:02] guaaaache: "Mikaela et Katrina Robbins sont maintenant ami(e)s." [00:57:03] Flami: I'm amused by Pirate Speak [00:57:33] AmethystBrackish: hate my last name [00:57:52] guaaaache: aww it's all right [00:57:56] guaaaache: it reminds me of ice cream [00:57:59] Flami: it's okay [00:58:04] guaaaache: ice cream I don't like, but ice cream all the same [00:58:08] Flami: oh yeah, I can see how you'd get it [00:58:09] AmethystBrackish: lol [01:00:00] Flami: nice display picture, Kat [01:00:15] AmethystBrackish: yes, yes [01:00:24] Flami: "Ye now be maties with Katrina Robbins.
