Marzipan, gingerbread, cappuccino, Santa, shortbread, and fashion

Corey messaged me on Skype to say that he had crazy hair and makeup on; oh my! Apparently, he's a fashion model now, or "a professional handsome guy." HAHAHAHA, I found that hilarious! Maybe that was a function of it being 5:30-6 AM! I got some sleep, and then headed out to Richmond Centre / the Bay / London Drugs. Had some sushi since I was craving it, then got Moritz Icy Squares x2 / Hershey's Kisses dark chocolate mint truffles / Voortman's Shortbread Swirls / marzipan / on-sale chocolate Santas (in a nod to Christmas) / chocolate coins / gingerbread candy canes (one each went to Jonathan and Rachel) / cappuccino candy canes / on-sale Excel White gum x4 from London Drugs. Got home and divided stuff up into Ziploc bags and paper bags for Jonathan / Rachel / David / Evelyn / Ashley / Anastasia / Mattias / Ramen / Shira / James / Brandon. Of course I kept the marzipan, gum, and most of the dark chocolate mint truffles and candy canes / Shortbread Swirls for myself!

You Are Casually Fashionable

You like to look good, but the first and foremost thing on your mind is comfort.

If it itches, pinches, or feels too tight, then there's no chance you're going to wear it.

You'd rather underdress than overdress. You never mind being one of the few who's keeping it casual.

And while you are casual, you're never sloppy. Your look is natural and simple.

Alarms / Sirens are useful - yay for Edge and stealing!

I spent a couple hours farming for Alarms / Sirens from one single Searcher just now:

They're useful for calling rare monsters and such, and the Giant of Babil is the only place you can get them in the GBA version of the game, although I've read that you can buy them on the moon way later! I killed off FuSoYa, Cecil, and Rydia since I had to keep Rosa alive for healing duties on Edge whenever he reached critical HP levels after stealing them and being detected by the enemy!

POUND OF BRANDY BEANS! / No religious bombardment, please!

Called Jon to see if he'd be there tonight (after the ONTD people said I should do desserts night), but he's going to be at a concert with his band. Maybe we'll see each other later for exchanging stuff, on MY OWN TERMS! Then Eric got on MSN to say he would be here at 7 and then buy cookies and fruit - YAY! That didn't end up happening, but we talked about Christmas stuff like the ALL-DAY CHRISTMAS MUSIC RADIO STATIONS / gingerbread candy canes / Paul / Mr. Creep / LJ attacks / THE WALKING DEAD / zombies / torrents / STARCRAFT / care packages / desserts on the way over. We did have to see Mr. Creep, but luckily he left really early! Talked to Christon, Raymond, and Kevin about buying stuff for Wesley / Dianne / Vania / Vicky / others.

I decided to go to Superstore with Eric just in case I saw stuff there which I wanted to buy personally: good decision, as I saw SCORCHING jalapeno popper chips / on-sale brandy beans (almost a pound for $3.27!) / on-sale Sidekicks with a limit of two for 99 cents. We bumped into Cindy, who thought that we two looked familiar - she was at Superstore to unwind after work because it was "quieter," hahaha. Discussed peanut butter, jelly cups, mandarin oranges, Pocky, chocolate, Dianne coming home on the 23rd, and more. When we got back to the church, Ben / Carmen / Randal / Jen / Vivian had all shown up. Eric was evil and wanted me to share my brandy beans ("drunk!") or my jalapeno chips with the group - NO! We discovered that Mr. Creep had bought seven quality chocolate bars for one person, so people distributed them instead! Talked about the Darwin Awards, humor, laughter, jokes, Finger Soccer, peanut brittle, lip balm, tea, bath salts, cupcakes, and more. On the way home, Eric had to bombard me with religious messages - and bug me about hockey / STARCRAFT / Committee Meeting. I just won't go on Sunday, then! Billie also said she got my Christmas / birthday cards, so YAY!

Crazy 6-5 losses, James, Vanessa, and cappuccinos

Listened to a crazy Canucks-Predators game, which Mike Fisher ended up winning for Nashville in a 6-5 effort. Ugh! I still say that being here was way better than being out, of course! Sara H. said she got my Christmas card yesterday, so YAY! Vanessa said hi on MSN, so we talked / vented / bitched for a bit... if she's back here soon, it'll be good. Then James said hi on YM at 3:30 AM, so we talked as well - poor guy!

You Are Wise

You are too much of a generalist to specialize in anything. The problem is that you're good at everything.

You try to live an enlightened life. You are benevolent, noble, and intuitive.

You are sensitive and intuitive. You understand others and yourself well.

You are honest about your opinions and feelings. You'd rather be blunt, even if it upsets people.

Chrystal, salmon burgers, morbid notepads, and skipping dinners

Paid my phone bill before going out to meet Chrystal - I had barely enough time to catch up on everything, honestly! We talked about London Drugs, gambling, Las Vegas, the cold weather, soup and salmon burgers at White Spot, my mailing stuff to Corey and others, Christmas cards, world records, Ripley's Believe It Or Not, Jon and Harmony, babies, Steph and Lisa, Auntie Ying's surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome, poutine, pumpkin pie, Hog Shack, moving, prescriptions, Costco, Nathan, Micah, and more. It was good looking at books and weird and cute gadgets at the bookstore: weird pens, morbid notepads, cooking, and more! Got home, and found out that Jon really did want me to bus to or from the dinner - I like warmth, gaming, and the hockey game more than family dinners lately, so I skipped out. HA! His guilt trips won't work on me, and this wouldn't have happened had he not invited Nathan! (which he calls "juvenile," but whatever)

2011 Year In Review / Calling Cabs

Meme fun: Take the first line from the first post of every month of the year. Repost it here as your year in review. (I'm discounting greetings and things like that :P) Yeah, it's been an interesting year!

2011 Year In Review

Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2011. Post the first line of it in your journal as a paragraph, and that's your "Year In Review."

Went to Jeremy's for hot pot and movie night - yay for MANOS with commentary! When Teunis got home last night after 11, he said it was -3 outside... sure, he could have some of my pasta with his coffee! I had to block Ben (_brainsick_) on YM, since he kept bugging me about IQ tests, and I thought it was spam! If anyone pranks me for April Fools Day, I will cut out their heart and serve it to them for breakfast. Cindy (SO EASILY STRESSED!) sent us an email last night stating that she was going to look for other churches in the area that fit her worship needs; fair enough! I saw Hester today, and she asked whether my "boyfriend" was going to be here long; apparently, her boss and supervisor have noticed Teunis' car in the parking lot for a while, and wanted her to tow it!

The Internet cut out last night at around 10:15, so I had nothing to do but start and finish THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN. Before I took a nap, Shannon Norman buzzed me on Yahoo; I didn't realize she had my contact info, so I blocked this ex-friend of mine! After a confusing dream involving Teunis / smoking / running for a train at Staples / Maxine's kids being really stressed out and wanting me for comfort, I woke up with the EARTHBOUND ending theme in my head! I'm not playing CHRONO TRIGGER anymore because I can never catch the stupid rat in Arris Dome, and the save state files I've found NEVER work for me! I saw on-sale Breyer's peanut butter and jelly ice cream today, but didn't buy it since I was concerned about how it would taste. Decided to not go out after all, which turned out to be a good thing as I finally found a Mors enemy in FINAL FANTASY IV Advance before I made dinner (Butter and Herb Sidekicks!) for me and a bedframe-bringing Teunis, and found out that Jason Ackerman wanted to add me to Facebook - HAHAHA, NICE!

You Should Hail a Cab in Barcelona

You're content with what you have in life, and you can't stand feeling worked up.

You feel like you live a life of abundance. There is so much in your life to feel thankful for.

You prefer to sit back and enjoy every situation life has to offer. You put an optimistic spin on everything.

You don't seek out change, but you don't necessarily avoid it, either. If it comes, it comes.

MORS, Jason Ackerman, bedframes, Jehovah's Witnesses, and Teunis / Yule

Decided to not go out after all, which turned out to be a good thing as I finally found a Mors enemy in FINAL FANTASY IV Advance before I made dinner (Butter and Herb Sidekicks!) for me and a bedframe-bringing Teunis, and found out that Jason Ackerman wanted to add me to Facebook - HAHAHA, NICE! Tarantula and Jehovah's Witnesses memories from Ferris! If his birthday isn't fake, it's on Halloween... heh heh heh! When Teunis got here, we talked about Yule / Christmas (cards) / Easter / Tess / California / storage / Islamic thought / creationism vs. evolution / student loans / Kate Bush / hockey / football / New Year's / pagan stuff / seasons. We also discussed gaming / Fort St. John / allergies / the bedframe on wheels, boards, and replacing old mattresses / mice / thanking me for dinner / the mail / Christmas cards / Mom and Randal thinking that he'd become a Christian if he went to church enough. (SO NOT TRUE!)

Sleep disorders: NARCOLEPSY?!

Talked briefly to Teunis on MSN, who is coming over later tonight. Now that it's finally sorted, I'm going out to mail stuff and maybe eat something!

You Are Narcolepsy

Interacting with you makes most people feel incredibly satisfied. You are gentle, super sweet, and in harmony with those around you.

You feel content and cozy almost anywhere. You have no trouble curling up and taking a little nap.

You don't need a lot of excitement. Your best days are calm days.

You are a solid and down-to-earth person. You never feel all that worked up.

Oh, TRUST ME. There are times when I can indeed be worked up, mainly because of certain people...

4-1 WIN over the Blue Jackets! / November 2011 Bubble Tea Tally

Talked briefly to Teunis on MSN, then enjoyed a 4-1 Canucks win over the Columbus Blue Jackets for their fifth victory in a row! Later, Eric bugged me on MSN about Friday's dessert night / "romancing" Chinese Eric / my hockey excitement and ALL CAPS / Randal as "the Hat-Wearing Man" and the past / care packages / forgiveness (NEVER in the case of certain people!) / Paul.

Obligations... Bridges... YOU SPOONY BARD!

Jon's invited Nathan to Thursday's dinner; if I *have* to go, this might make it better. Ugh.

You Are a Bridge to Healing

You are nurturing and supportive. You are the biggest cheerleader in your friends' lives.

You are incredibly empathetic and care about everyone you know. You feel for others.

Emotions rule your decisions, especially when it comes to love. You have a sensitive heart.

You can easily see the beauty in others. You appreciate them, and you never cling too tightly.

Finished MOTHER 3 with emotions! / Big Toilets

Talked briefly to Teunis on MSN, and Eric tried sending me a message while he was offline about when I was going to grace them with my next appearance. I assume he got mine about yesterday, hahaha.

This is a sign I've been playing too much MOTHER 3: I saw a coffee table in the apartment building foyer, and immediately wished I could ride it! At least I finally finished the emotional game just now! Hopefully, FINAL FANTASY IV ADVANCE works without glitches this time... *fingers crossed*

Starbucks hot chocolate, Kayone, toilet dungeons, Randal, Corey, and 2012 bus pass

Randal FINALLY re-friended me on Facebook, after I thought he was lying to me... I wouldn't have blamed him, though! Maybe the dude's been busy, I don't know. Whatever. I also almost forgot Corey's March birthday card... good thing I remembered before he came home for Xmas, or even before he went back to Taiwan!

My 2012 bus pass finally came in the mail - blue is a much better color than pink! I actually found the rest of the shoelaces I bought at the Kingsgate Mall dollar store that time when I was enroute to Jeremy's, so YAY! "Kayone Ziaian" wanted to add me to Facebook because of EARTHBOUND and MOTHER 3; hahaha, why not? I also called Steph, who also begrudgingly agreed to give me a ride on Thursday to wherever dinner ends up being. She KNOWS how I feel about the parents, so I'm not going to go to their place if I can help it! Too bad my favorite people can't be there. *sigh*

You Are an Original Hot Chocolate

You are a faithful and tender partner. You are generous in sharing your many talents.

You are generous with your time. You believe that the best things in life don't come quickly.

You see yourself as competent, dependable, and detail-oriented.

You follow and play by the rules. It's important to you to do things by the book.

12 hours of sleep = SO WORTH MISSING A FAREWELL! / Group personality

Had about 12 hours of sleep, which is what I needed after yesterday's gong show! Found a phone call from Eric, and a series of MSN messages sent just after I'd gone to bed at 12:30 about a farewell for Pastor Tom and such. Oh yeah, that was today, but I don't think I could have woken up for that! Oops!

You Are the Voice of Reason

You stay focused on what you can know and what you can change. You are very logical and unemotional.

You avoid any extremes. You feel like there is always room for moderation, middle ground, and compromise.

You are principled and conscientious. You try to behave as virtuously as possible.

You see life as an opportunity for learning, growth, and bringing out the best in others.
