Barry picked me up early for banking and food shopping, but we encountered much traffic on the way to the banks. We discussed crossword clues, Isaac Asimov, I ROBOT, a "swain," Shakespeare, life updates, and more. When I was finally at the store, I saw Deadly Masquerade: A True Story of Sexual Secrets, Illicit Passion, and Murder (Donita Woodruff) on sale for $5, so I bought it. Also got blackberry juice, on-sale Sunny D, replacement nail clippers, on-sale Palmolive replacement detergent (pomegranate / lavender / orange), replacement Nottingham bread, soy milk x3 (one in chocolate!), strawberry Olympic Greek yogurt, butter, wildberry juice, bananas, on-sale banana and chocolate oatmeal breakfast bars, and Motts Spicy Clamato. Went home and paid my Internet bill - there will be ANOTHER increase?! HOLY HELL. Now I gotta get ready to go to Deb and Dylan's pretty soon, so I can play with baby Declan!


After they find Papas' Sword and Borongo in the Western Cave, the DRAGON QUEST V party goes back to Kabochi to collect the other half of the 3000G reward. Borongo has been terrorizing the village crops, and this little kid says that he KNOWS the Hero is a jungle boy!

Managed to get my Internet router back by noticing a blue light which was OFF on my laptop - Andrew said that I'd done the right thing if it was working! I noticed that Chinese Eric had called me, so I returned the call only to have Auntie tell me that he was sleeping since the hot weather makes him tired. Yes, I do understand that! He called me back at 5:45, and it was AWESOME as usual! Discussed life updates, his finally catching up on all the email updates, hot weather with HEAT, my not interacting much with Carol and Stuart, the Olympics, the limits of the human body, running, AirCare not being around anymore, the government, fans, reality TV, SURVIVOR, AMERICAN IDOL, WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, TLC, HOARDERS, WHEEL OF FORTUNE, and JEOPARDY. Also talked about whether Nathan's coming back this month (I can check that on Facebook!), possibly having a regular hangout from 8-10 PM before his birthday (he hasn't thought that far ahead yet - he knows me, though!), water polo taking a LOT of work, chips, salsa, volleyball, the Olympic Village and sex ("we're all human beings"), his spending time with HIS grandma, helping his dad do some stuff in the morning (SO HOT!), maybe having bubble tea with Jon at his place, a kiddy game called CRAZY CHICKEN, those Tamagotchi pets, and more. It was pretty cool, as usual. :D

I accidentally fell asleep, and got up at 6:45. Since I thought that Lillian hadn't called because she wanted me to have a break, I called Jon to discuss the day's developments like Big G talking more. It's true that the lards could know already, but we don't know that. He's free tomorrow, so we'll figure it out then. Lillian called at 7:15, and said that Yvonne had seen Grandma, who had eaten some congee and slept a little. She said she'd leave it up to me whether to go out again; I decided not to because we can always see her tomorrow after lunch. I managed to finally finish the Duncan's Factory dungeon in MOTHER 1 with this extra time, so YAY! Also called Chinese Eric, and the call lasted over an hour: we talked about recent events in my life, 9/11 and his other grandma getting worse on that date (quite emotional day for his family), the Olympics, America's "Dream Team" / "Redemption Team," Canada's bronze medal, his health, basketball, the intense working pace in Hong Kong, and preferring to do things at night.

We also discussed T&T lineups, nursing homes and his grandma, movie theatres being pricey and less convenient in this Internet age, EXTREME COUPONING (we know where to go in case the world ends!), TABOO, HOARDERS: BURIED ALIVE, STRANGE SEX, the closure of Famous Players in Richmond Centre, hanging out with me being a good thing for him, reality TV, comfort, care decisions, and more. He says he'll pray for Grandma, who seems very nice to him. (I thanked him for that, of course) Then again, I thanked him for being there, and he said that it shows that I must trust him. That earned him a "Of COURSE that's true - you think I've been hanging out with you for the last nine or ten years, and DON'T trust you?! Eric, you're crazy, man!" from me, hahaha.

STRANGE SEX tonight: A guy who can have seven orgasms in 14 minutes (and who discussed polyamory with his wife), and a guy who has a giantess fetish. Then it was a divorced mother of two who has a secret double life as a stripper and a sex addict, plus a guy who suffers from a birth defect where the hole normally located at the tip of the penis is instead located on the underside. He then discovered he was gay while his wife was pregnant with twins.

Shrimp tacos, eating ATM card, Pretzel Crisps

I watched a movie called IN HER MOTHER'S FOOTSTEPS this afternoon - wow! Then I went out to haul a bunch of stuff home and do some banking before I met Chrystal at London Drugs. We had dinner at Boston Pizza; I had new shrimp tacos (Jamie and her friends put the idea in my head yesterday!), and she had her usual salad. Discussed Ayler not wanting people to leave him alone, heavy tanks, movies, Andrea's pregnancy, the nice weather, the Olympics, Nathan, my keeping in touch with people, friends, Micah, gelato, and more. When we went to the gelato place later, she had pink grapefruit sorbetto, and I had cappuccino cookie. After we went to the bakery (where I got a pineapple bun), we hit up Shoppers Drug Mart. I bought lobster noodles, kimchi noodles, six $1 Sidekicks since the sale expires in two days (Tomato Alfredo x2 / Garlic Alfredo Spaghetti x2 / Butter and Herb / Homestyle Cheddar), on-sale original Pretzel Crisps, and more. Decided not to get scones or Oreo Cakesters; Chrystal decided not to get any cookies or marshmallows since she had plenty at home. When I got back to the townhouse, I noted that C.J. of the Puckheads had added me. Also paid my Internet bill since I am responsible!

Photos not viewable with browsers!

I can't view any Facebook photos and pictures in ANY browser on here right now; Firefox, Chrome, and Opera all return empty boxes for those things! Good thing I finished my bestiary work hours beforehand, but I was planning to use Facebook photos tomorrow so Chinese Eric could see pictures of Ayler and Vegas / the wedding IF the hangout ends up happening! I guess I can still use it, but he'll have to be content with thumbnails. Yes, I deleted my cookies and cleared my cache... I somehow don't think that this problem will resolve itself overnight, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if so! Maybe this is Friday the 13th at work... spooky!

I called Chinese Eric before my Southern (?) dinner of Chicken Fried Rice, but his mom said he was getting ready for dinner... it's all good! Then I noticed that Auntie Catherine had called me, so I returned the call: three-year-old Mattias answered, and didn't say she was in the bathroom this time, hahaha. To help him along with cues after he said she was home, I asked if I could please speak to her. That worked! She'd been holding Marcus, and wanted to see if I could meet half an hour earlier tomorrow. Since I kinda need the extra time just in case anything goes wrong, I split the difference and said 10:45 would be fine by me. Apparently, there was no problem with that!

Later, I called Jon to confirm for tomorrow: he said that Mom was at least halfway accurate when she'd told me that Harmony sleeps till the early afternoon after feeding the baby at night, and added that the lards would be coming over at around 2. Lots of stuff to do on Main till then, I'm sure... he also gave me their address, so I wrote that down for posterity / bus-taking purposes. Should be interesting! I don't mind if I'm given chores to do which could utilize my gifts: ORGANIZING THINGS! Then I tried calling white Eric, but Veronica said he was at Alistair's - DAMMIT, THE ONE TIME I NEED TO MAKE FRIDAY PLANS ON A THURSDAY?! AIYA!

At about 10, Chinese Eric called to ask if I'd called him; you bet I did, good friend of mine! We discussed his new "Facebook phase" so he won't be a dinosaur (but he would like to keep his privacy - VERY understandable!), my not trusting sudden stuff, Korey and the insincere stuff he says, Randal, James and "sudden changes," lupus and the kidney / systemic attacks, Chrystal, the mango / cream cheese sushi at Tokyo Joe's, new food choices, diets and restrictions, white Eric, dating / relationship / marriage advice (he can ask Jon later when he's ready!), red meat / fish / chicken / fruits / veggies, words changing meaning (like "gay" / "dinner" sometimes meaning "lunch" / "sad" meaning "angry" as per Pete's Texas slang), and how people use Facebook for different things. (he doesn't have to use it all the time like SOME do) Also conversed about psychotic people, his going to hang out with his grandma in the next week, reading up on Internet stuff, my grandma and her new situation (Chinese staff?), that "the grass is greener on the other side" phenomenon when it came to singlehood / relationships (unless it's going REALLY WELL), stages of life, baby stuff, how I should say hi to Jon and Harmony for him (of course!), how it was good to have some time of dating / then time for marriage BEFORE kids unless REALLY necessary (I know what he means!), and how his mom knows that I'm a good person / non-stalker material!

She knows that Nathan's friends are usually good people, heh. I just call him every few days to see how he is (and let's not lie here - to have REAL FRIEND time with a familiar voice), not every hour on the hour to harass them, haha! Admittedly, I call him more frequently than I may have used to even years ago, but he says it's all cool. (YAY!) His priority right now is stabilizing his health, which did change his perspective on life for obvious reasons. We got into how some people date for a long time before taking the next step: he's like me in that he'd prefer to know someone for a while first! That was an AWESOME hour-long conversation, which only ended since he had another call coming in - I believe him! Of course I'll talk to him one way or the other (with baby [banquet] updates!) when the crazy weekend is over; he knows this! I told him that he'd better take care of his health and manage it well because I want him around for a LONG TIME to come!

Finished purging! / Random encounter tiles! / Inner strength allows me NOT to struggle!

I finally finished the Facebook photos and notes "purging / re-tagging project" at 2:25 AM, which would have been about an hour sooner were it not for an Internet outage! The photo albums weren't so bad since I was done with them in a couple of hours on the first day, but I had written about 610 notes since October 2007, and had to edit a majority of them for paragraph issues as well! That took about four days or so, with no gaming breaks!

The notes about Korey made Randal think I was struggling with that, so he left some religious-based comfort on my FB wall; I know he means well, though. Trust me, I've found enough inner strength to deal with it in the last four years! If I were truly struggling, I wouldn't have the strength to even OPEN those! However, he IS right in that I'm struggling with some totally unrelated issues - James, for one!

Now I can get back into gaming! But I had to restart the game AGAIN (seven and a half hours in) because of the stupid random encounter tiles with totally missable enemies (Merrow / Flying Killer / Little Chariot / Neo Garula) on the Big Bridge in Galuf's world after Exdeath's castle - no amount of swearing is enough to convey my frustration!

Grand Canyon, laptop refusing to turn on, hyper / drunk

Got up at 9:15, but missed Eric's call five minutes later anyway. Apparently, I have only a couple of days to decide if I'm going to the Grand Canyon or not; maybe not, since it involves hill walking and an extra expense which my parents will bug me about if I complain! The Internet / computer was being slow earlier, but it seems to be back to normal now, although the laptop refuses to turn on right after I turn it off - it'll just shut down automatically. *fingers crossed* I've decided not to go, actually - too much hill walking, haha. After asking me whether I wanted gingered pickled pig's feet in vinegar with eggs (I am NOT the mother of a newborn!), Mom said Steph is going over for lunch tomorrow since she needs the scanner for photos; she's agreed to drive me, while saying that I seem hyper or drunk. HAHAHA, no! I'd finished a conversation with a good friend, is all. :D

Time to have a shower and then do laundry, as I only have one towel left. :P

Editing 1100 memories, Semagic location

I finally finished editing 1100+ entries at 1:35 AM, and I never want to go through that ever again! If I'd kept closer watch on the number of entries in the category in the first place, and knew it would take longer for the page to load even if it was just text, I could have saved myself the agony! Yes, I'm being melodramatic. :P *sigh* At least with Semagic, I can put a "home" location to some entries which lack it, which will hopefully take less time!

Memory organization / Impossible Gil amount

As I thought, I ended up sleeping in this morning; that kinda happens when you stay up till 4 AM doing various things and farting around on the Internet! At least I didn't have to listen to a sermon about mothers! I found that I had to re-organize a whole bunch of memorable LJ entries, so this will take up my entire afternoon and evening! (and late night too, I'm quite sure... so annoying since I can't do it in bulk!)


This is an impossible amount of money for the inn to be charging my FINAL FANTASY II party for a stay! (in Mysidia) I suspect this has to do with the codes I put in...

Unaffordable things, DOODY, Taiwan, Western-style foods

On MSN, Eric M. asked if I were going to church tomorrow; once I heard about his "website / Fellowship meetings," I wasn't really interested since I CAN'T AFFORD TO EVEN JOIN THEM RIGHT NOW. Then he asked about my "date" (he's joking, I think?) with Chinese Eric last week, excluding the Canucks losing the game; HA HA HA. Diven suggested I could pack noodles for lunch, but I wasn't up for that, especially since I stayed up till 4 AM. He bid me goodnight and said he'd see me sometime: this is almost certain!

Later, Corey bugged me via Skype messages. "Doody" and "booger" had to be outdone on my part, so I went with "period blood," muhahahaha! He told me, "There's no need to be gross... I'm about to eat lunch. I'm waiting outside this Western-style restaurant to see if they actually know how to make American things or not... The English on the menu was definitely written by a native speaker, which is at least a good sign... that's unusual here." So I updated him briefly on Vegas / DRAGON QUEST V / TV Tropes. Hope the food's good!

NOBODY calls me "Les"! / Bruins out, racist fans, and family vacation HELL in a dream

THE BOSTON BRUINS GOT ELIMINATED IN A GAME 7 IN OVERTIME BY THE WASHINGTON CAPITALS... YES! THIS IS AWESOME KARMA! The Bruins do have racist fans, if they call Joel Ward the "N word," and claim not to know who Willie O'Ree is! They've just released a statement saying the team doesn't condone the behavior, though.

Had a bit of a nightmare about a family vacation gone all to hell, what with Steph and my parents ganging up on me to yell about anything and everything. I just hope this isn't a harbinger of things to come! My Internet keeps cutting in and out, too - very annoying! I've had at least thirty TV Tropes tabs open since last night... man, this is a vast time-suck!

I had some random idiot named Sean Alex in Puckheads call me "Les." THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. When I called him on it, he said: "well i just did and im to lazy to type your hole name" ... yes, that is exactly what he typed. MY NAME IS SIX FREAKING LETTERS LONG! JFC. Too bad I can't block him, since that's prohibited in the rules. *sigh* This may or may not have anything to do with that asshole Paul thinking he could call me whatever he liked.

DRAGON QUEST birth storyline in dreams!

I was responsible and paid the hydro / Internet bills just now. Now, time to do some banking! (I will NOT go shopping... I will NOT go shopping... well, except maybe noodles, gum, lotion, and light bulbs...)


I had a weird dream in which I was fairly pregnant and walking down a neon-covered gambling strip with friends. When I wanted to buy some chicken from a roadside stand, my friends said that they wanted to buy jumbo cookies. We bought everything we wanted, and then continued down the road where we were met with protestors on opposite sides of an issue. Men were waving signs around that proclaimed their right to make educational decisions, while women wanted a school to stay open. After ducking into a mall for a while, we came across another pregnant woman who was about to give birth, but she couldn't rest. The dream ended when we were assisting the woman to rest in a hotel room.

Triggers: buying meat from Granville Island the day of Dawn and Eni's wedding, Wendy's FB status updates about a school local to her named Prince Phillip / protesting its closing, Harmony's pregnancy, Vegas, sleeping at inns during gameplay, and my current DRAGON QUEST 5 storyline where Bianca is forced to rest in Granvania Castle because she'll give birth to twins soon. I named mine Palom and Porom for the FINAL FANTASY IV flavor, haha. I hope the next part of the storyline isn't in my dreams: I don't know what I'll do if I dream of actually giving birth to a prince and a princess, and fighting monsters / Chancellors!

Kikwis, terror, spam, QUIRKY lost, debit card payments

I discussed Steph and Lisa complementing each other as a couple / Internet stories / wedding excitement with Chinese Eric, and odd ZELDA characters (Kikwis that pretend to be plants and shake with terror) / CRACKED articles on Easter Eggs / fetus in fetu / burned dumplings in the microwave at midnight / some spam email (which he dealt with) with white Eric on MSN last night. Called the library today because I think I lost the QUIRKYALONE library book; thank goodness I can use my debit card to pay the cost of the book! Cash is... not an option at the moment, thanks to that trip. *sigh* Thank goodness I have two bank cards!

Since I might not have time tomorrow in between sleep and catching up and the weekly tradition (and the C94 never shows up on Saturday when I want to take it!), I decided to go this afternoon. Better that than to ask Steph and Lisa after dinner! Went to the library, where I saw a kid going around on a scooter. Paid the cost with a savings account, then got a Mother's Day card / on-sale (expiring tomorrow) Lindt "Little Desserts" milk chocolate bar (which I've never had before) at Shoppers Drug Mart while I was out. Got home and organized some of my greeting cards.

Hockey hangouts are EXCELLENT plans! / Grammar Correction Cat

Chinese Eric said hi on MSN at about 9:40, which was the first thing in a bit to make me grin! Gotta love good friends! Turns out the "moving" thing was actually "helping out family friends, and family-related stuff" - PHEW! Of course I updated him on things around here! Talked about my parents' cruise / lost luggage, funny CRACKED articles, the Duncan Keith hit on Daniel Sedin (concussion / resulting suspension of only five games), my upcoming crazy weekend, Harmony's pregnancy, Nathan getting back, hanging out next weekend before the playoffs start (OF COURSE!), HOARDERS, and more. Always good to talk to him, at least. *grin*

He says the Vancouver game against Calgary on CBC next Saturday should be good, and he'll call to confirm on Friday or Saturday. SOUNDS LIKE AN EXCELLENT PLAN! Discussed EXTREME COUPONING ("raid those homes in case of war or recession, hahaha!"), MY STRANGE ADDICTION ("I'm happy we're on the NORMAL side!"), and other weird TV shows... he makes me laugh, and I like that! I'm not surprised that he saw an episode of EXTREME COUPONING where one woman had 54 family-size detergent bottles in her collection! At around midnight, we agreed that it had been nice talking to each other, and that it was also late. He bid me goodnight as per our usual "moon emoticon" thing, which I'd missed. YAY FOR GOOD FRIENDS!

Jalapeno bagels, birthday compliments, and dollar store items

A random foreign person tried adding me to Facebook; I DON'T THINK SO! Mike T. says it's the newest tool for spam - unfortunately, I'm not surprised! Mom tried to call me, so I had to call her back if I didn't want her bugging the heck out of me all week. She says that she doesn't want me to spend money (at least they understand that), but I want to do things independently as long as it doesn't bankrupt me! Luckily, I had the wedding and baby shower gifts for Dawn and Eni / Harmony / Jane under control, but I did need to get the cards! Am I obligated to get something for Jane? I guess I should, if just a token gift... it'll be understandable if my gift for Harmony is better, of course.

Before I left to do some banking, I was responsible and paid my Shaw bill. Also tried calling Chinese Eric again, but Auntie told me that they were MOVING (?!) - well, of course he can call me back tonight if that's the case! Got a jalapeno bagel from Tim Horton's (which was pretty good), and a lychee BBT from Big Orange after I did my banking. Went to the dollar store to grab a birthday card for Dad (I hate writing upside down on envelopes!), a birthday card which made me laugh, baby shower cards for Jane and Harmony, a duck baby photo frame for Jane, two Canucks stuffed dogs (for me and BABY DRAGON), and a few gift bags for less than $25. PRIDE!

This is me every time I go out: WHY AM I HERE? I COULD BE HOME ON THE INTERNET RIGHT NOW.

Watched an episode of MAKE ROOM FOR MULTIPLES where these people named their triplets Jayden, Journee [girl], and Jerzee [girl] - WHAT THE HELL?! The last two in particular are NOT names! I also watched a FOUR WEDDINGS episode with a stuck-up, holier-than-thou, supercilious bride who refused to enter two churches for a couple of weddings. I wanted to know why, and this link provided my answer: Celeste was a Jehovah's Witness who apparently thinks that entering a church is a sin of conscience. HAHAHAHAHA!

Grandma's 92nd birthday!

Today is Grandma's 92nd birthday! Vanessa got on MSN briefly to share my excitement over sushi overriding BS tomorrow, hahaha. I was responsible and paid my Shaw bill before I went out to do some banking and then spend some time with the Big G. Of course, she forgot that I had told her about this by the time I did get to the townhouse at 2. She made some black garlic oil noodles with chicken for me since I said I hadn't eaten yet, which was nice.

Then asked me whether I had boyfriends in the computer, and then asked whether I talked to White Kid (Eric M.) all the time on the computer. Not really! (if SOMEONE would sort his stuff out...) Phil liked those FB statuses, anyway. I reminded her about her birthday card, and she called me "good" for that and telling her to drink water. Harmony's dad Uncle Joe called to invite her out to dinner; of course, she forgot that Mom and Dad went to the States! Then she told me not to call my sister at work because she's a police officer... HAHAHAHA!

Wishful thinking, horrifying screennames, and being BACK ONLINE!

While I was at the library yesterday, I responded to Mandy's email - then I played a lot of gaming at home! (which I *just* lost!) Woke up at 6 AM today, craving vegetables for some reason. Luckily, I had some in the freezer! I remembered the candy for the children, which I ended up giving to Nina and Emily - Auntie Bessy asked if I were sure about this, but I totally was! Julie C. missed out, though! Eric called to say that he had to pick up Dylan as well, which was okay by me. We talked about the front seat being jammed forward, Deb, the holidays, baby Declan, sleep issues, sleep schedules for the baby, our weeks, forgetfulness, and more on our way to church. I saw Julie M. and Denise at the crosswalk (Dylan and Eric opted to jaywalk), and we complained about the non-automatic crosswalk signals in Vancouver; they're SO UNLIKE Richmond!

The new pastor was all right, I suppose; being a word fiend, I liked his analysis of the word "time," although it sounded like what I read on a webpage long ago! Jeremy and I laughed (well, I snorted) at the "do not get drunk on wine" Bible verse in the reading, haha! After service, I gave Dad my tax envelope while he wondered where Jon was. I talked to Enoch and Wes about Twisted Sister and other things while stupid Paul was lurking in the background - GO AWAY! Said hi to Grandma, Mrs. Ho, Jordan, Ian, Olivia, Phil, Sophia, Helen C., Mike K., and others before I simply decided to go upstairs. Saw Ada, Ashley, James ("FIRE!"), Ramen, Shira, Jessie, Rachel's grandma, Danny, Anastasia, Lanie, David, Evelyn, Mattias, Marcus, Karen I., and others in Toddler Sunday School; we discussed Mandarin, drawings, toys, slides, and more.

When I finally got out of there, Eric was looking for me, saying that my sister was doing the same thing. I initially called him a liar, until I did see her with Mom; she invited me to Pho, but I had to decline on account of Eric fixing my Internet issues AND his having no cash anyway! Got her and Lisa's work schedules, so will call them tomorrow night after the hockey game; I'll call Chrystal, too! Eric and I discussed Randal and long emails, Paul, the non-support I'm getting from my brother about that situation (DO NOT FORCE ME!), Teunis, Bible Study, LEFT FOR DEAD, the longest winter ever (which has yet to happen over here), no 12 Days of Christmas, DARKWING DUCK, video game music, and more. Yes, I included my feelings in the email I sent Randal, but that doesn't mean I'm falling in love with him again! I can always get his phone number through other means than asking him since I "lost" it four years ago, haha.

We later talked about keyboards, messy wires, routers, resetting stuff, AVG, my snowglobe, STARCRAFT and the DAY 9 DAILY guy, browsers, bottled water, what he could eat (I felt bad for delaying his lunch!), Elections Canada hand sanitizer (I'm not wasting our tax dollars by not using it!), and my fan / speakers. Then we talked about dust, my computer case, books, my not believing that email, his teasing me via character names, the lava lamp, the desktop computer, D-LINK sites, emulators, "romantic time with Chinese Eric" (WISHFUL THINKING THAT IS NOT HAPPENING SINCE HE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE READY FOR A RELATIONSHIP, AND UNDERSTANDABLY SO!), and more.

I think he was understandably horrified when James (thinking I was back online and actually at the computer - HAHAHA!) popped up on Trillian (I forgot it was on) to say hi via YM! He called me over and wondered about the screen name (it references "69"), so I told him that my friend had said it was his female friend's old one, and he had apparently never bothered to change it afterwards! Trust me, the dubious look he gave me perfectly matched the one I gave the computer screen while reading this explanation years ago! I definitely thanked him later! While catching up later, I saw that Grace H. has unfriended me / deleted her FB profile.
