Man, the fellowship hall LOOKS huge...

High-scoring word of the night so far:

THERMIC (126 points) - against George M. [2W, 3W]

The first Awana in the new church building seemed to go well. Got our new uniforms as we went in, and I figured that ducking down under the CAUTION tape was a good way to access the front doors. Henry and I let John and Luke in before us, and bid hello to Katherine on our way to the fellowship hall. Andrew was there for the afternoon, so I talked to him / Chrystal / Golden / Stanley (who was hanging around) / Emily / Mei Lin and Tony (helping to set up) / Anita, Jeff, and Allison - good times. It was interesting to see Rosenda, Tim, David, and Helen as parents of Awana kids, even amid all the dust that was around! (David brushed his wife's hoodie, but that didn't seem to do any good) Jordan was his usual rambunctious self, and I wondered how Eric and Matthew's mom kept up with them at home! It was good to see the kids, including Priscilla (who said hi to me) / Thomas / Ryan / Zoe / others. Not a fan of the secretary polo shirt's color, though... yellow, red, blue, and green are all better than a dull gray! (ew!)

The T&T game was challenging and good: find all the Biblical books hidden in a paragraph! Benedict was right in that people would probably get a headache from it. Saw little Benjamin N. again, which was good. Got a ride home with Ada and John - Ian told me that he remembered the bathrooms and stairs of the old church (haha), while his brother Sean just spouted numbers off, heh. Ian also thought his parents were calling him STAR WARS when they were joking between themselves about his STYLE - John might forget about me, or Ian would want them to drop him off first since he was hungry! Upon reading the latest weather bulletin from my sister, I definitely do NOT want to go. Guess I still have to, though... *sigh* Why did she have to graduate in December? It would be much better if it were in the summer! (I know, I'm whining - MY JOURNAL, DEAL WITH IT!)

P.S. Eric is demented, but he changed my light bulbs! Ming Yan T., Koko F., Asjad T., Thea R., Chon Kit L., Jason S., Toussaint F., Yu Cheng L., Minh D., Soulless Seraphim, Lukas M., Jeff H., Victor W., Nigel Y., Quinton Z., Richard H., and Kathy S. also added me for the BLOOD GAMES! Jonathan Chan also added me, but NOT for the blood games... hahaha.

Relationship memories

Memories of a Relationship: Perspective
© LCN, 2008

Boy: Remember the time we just lay in bed, holding hands?
I REMEMBER.

Woman: Remember all the times you made me do things for you at ridiculous hours? (or when I'd JUST gotten home and clearly wanted to rest)
IF YOU DON'T, I DO.

Boy: Remember the time we went out for our anniversary, and then you were drunk at the Safeway? We didn't even FIGHT that day!
I REMEMBER.

Boy: Remember the times we spent in Chilliwack when I wasn't working? We cuddled!
I REMEMBER.

Woman: Remember the times you "play-fought" with me, only to have it turn into something else? Or all our constant arguing?
IF YOU DON'T, I DO.

Woman: Remember the times you restrained me because you thought I was always hitting you? I was SCARED! Or the time you put a password on MY computer without my knowledge?
IF YOU DON'T, I DO.

Boy: Remember the times you demonstrated your love and care by taking good care of me?
I REMEMBER.

Woman: Remember the time there was scratching, choking, bleeding, pushing on the floor, and attempted "guiding" going on? You said I didn't deserve it, and I also apologized for my part in it.
IF YOU DON'T, I DO.

Boy: Remember the times we kissed, and you said I was a good kisser? I think you're a good kisser too!
I REMEMBER.

Woman: Remember the times you seemed to not like my guy friends? And then you insulted me with the things you said "in anger" when we were fighting?
IF YOU DON'T, I DO.

Boy: I am COMMITTED to making this work! I LOVE YOU!
I REMEMBER HEARING THAT BEFORE.

Boy: Remember the notes I wrote you? I wouldn't do that for ANYONE!
I REMEMBER.

Woman: Remember the times I felt trapped? Or the times you insulted me about many things? Or the times you failed to defend me to your friends who thought I was rude or worse? (I'm not saying you NEVER did, or that you should CUT TIES with them, but seriously! Is loyalty TOO MUCH TO ASK?!)
IF YOU DON'T, I DO.

Boy: Remember the times we just sat together and talked? Or the times we sat together outside Richmond Sushi / the Keg at New Years?
I REMEMBER.

Boy: Remember the times we cooked together? Or the money / gift cards I gave you to go shopping?
I REMEMBER.

Boy: Remember how we could talk on the phone for a long time? Or the time you met Ryan and Alison?
I REMEMBER.

Woman: Remember how you said you'd get me gifts, but didn't? Or the time it took you THREE DAYS to clean the microwave because of YOUR not following directions? Or the time your cousin PUKED in MY ROOM? Or the times you invited people over without MY CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE?!
I REMEMBER ALL THESE THINGS.

Yes, we had good times. But we also had bad times... and the magnitude of those bad times unfortunately outshines the light of the bad. No, I'm not all focused on the negatives. :P

I thank my friends for guiding me!

There's a reason why you're the boy, and I'm the WOMAN. If you were a real man, you'd understand. But you aren't, so you don't.

Lori and Maisie should NOT be unisex names!

High-scoring word of the day so far:

FAZE (152 points) - against George M. [2W, 4W]

I had a weird dream where some clown man was first named Lori, then Maisie - according to name tags that he had for his job as a Safeway cashier. Then I was moving wooden chairs around with my friends since we were moving buildings. We definitely knew the clown woman was a fraud, since those names should NEVER be unisex! No idea where THAT came from!

Henry returned my phone call - old uniforms, I guess! Sandi R. / Steve L. / Joe W. / Sharon A. / Marvin H. also added me to Facebook for the blood games. Then I talked to Eric about some stuff, which was fine. Jonathan, Margaret, and Golden ALL managed to confuse me so far today with Facebook photos from last week's banquet (girlfriends? phones?) - good times, except maybe not.

Multiplied scores shouldn't be surprising, haha!

Bingo of the night so far:

LEGATION (100 points) - against Lynne K.

High-scoring word of the night so far:

LEGATION (100 points) - against Lynne K. [5W, bingo]

Winardi T. / Lutfi M. / "Cat Stew Pies" / George D. / Darcy L. / Mitch D. / Lewis W. / Janek P. / Fandy S. / Zoran S. / Caroline E. / James T. added me for the Blood Games. Yeah, I'll take certain people off afterwards according to my own inner filters! Talked to Corey about "friendly" games (Let's Not Play Super Noah's Ark 3D), and to Eric H. about the cooler weather in Hong Kong (plus mental anguish / relationship timeouts)... windbreakers in the cool weather are a good thing. Focus and comfort are good - NO MIND GAMES! Also had FORTY Facebook friends on at once, haha!

The computer restarted, but it might have been because I was watching something on Youtube at the time. Or at least that's what K liked to blame it on when he was here... that boy watched a LOT of videos! Raymond said those insults played were a coincidence, and he's surprised at the multiplied scores. Well, the game doesn't rate you based on the sophistry of the words you play, my dear! Some idiot also sent me a message on Facebook using Netspeak and no punctuation - of course I deleted it and blocked him in the process! :D

[19:58:31] Corey: it starts with Wolfenstein, though
[19:58:45] Corey: there's plenty of other Noah's Ark 3D videos on Youtube, though
[20:00:33] Corey: and apparently the SNES version of Wolfenstein 3D was censored like crazy... they got rid of all the swastikas and the Nazis say "halt!" instead of screaming at you in German, and the attack dogs are rats or something...[20:12:55] Corey: I think the Angry Video Game Nerd has an episode about religious games (which are all terrible.. at least the few that showed up on Nintendo systems are) that covers this
[20:13:28] Corey: I recommend watching all episodes of AVGN, as they kick ass

Dream: A peeping Tom crumpling paper in the toilet

The computer restarted overnight! Indeep D. / Glenn D. / Evan J. / Kim T. / Nadafull A. added me for the Blood Games, too. Apparently, BS is at Melia's old place as per Dylan - I'm not going since I need to be fully over this sickness by tomorrow afternoon. YAY, AWANA! Melissa's found interesting flavors of Kit Kats in Japan: Triple Berry, Caramel Macchiato McFlurry, Muscat of Alexandria, Kiwi, Tangerine, Soybean Flour, Hazelnut, Black Tea, Double Berry, Caramel Pudding, and Roasted Tea. Those sound REALLY good... well, some!

Oh man. Thanks, subconscious...

This dream started out in a conference centre, and Florence was there to see me and my friends. We chatted with her a bit, then went about our usual business. I accidentally wandered into the washroom when a bunch of people were using it for showering. Jasmine, Charlotte, Lindsay, and the others accepted my embarrassed apologies, but said I could brush my teeth in there - I was another woman, right?

Suddenly, K burst in despite our guard at the door. He proclaimed that he liked boobs, and actually LOOKED at the people in the shower. I pressed the panic button under the sink quickly, and security came to escort him out. Then he cursed us, and said he'd get us later. My stuff was unfortunately with his, so I rushed to our shared space to retrieve it before he could do anything with it.

He had gotten there before me, and wanted to throw a blue suitcase [which looked like the one he has in real life] away. I told him that it was MINE, and showed him a note of ownership written on lined paper. He immediately took the note from me, and headed off to the washroom again. I ran to catch up with him, and was just in time to see him crumple the note and throw it in the toilet. Security came to arrest him, and give me another note of ownership.

A while later, I was home with my family and Vivian S. We were talking about the privations that Joey and Emily had endured in Vietnam, namely that the food wasn't quite up to par. I said that it didn't begin to compare with what Lesley had gone through: seeing two of her sisters DROWN in front of her eyes while on a boat?! My parents then decided to go to the Mad Greek - Jon decided to go on his own, while the girls decided to bus there. I had to go with Grandma and my parents, which was fine since my parents needed the car afterwards to go to some meeting.

When we got there and reserved a table for ten, we discovered my brother already sitting at an empty table for ten: the restaurant was complete with red chairs and while tile flooring. The girls laughed when they got off the bus - the restaurant was so close that they could have WALKED, but Grandma wouldn't have wanted to do that! (hence why she went in the car) Then we played some video game that had our characters shrinking and growing along with crouching on ramps to get away from Zangief and other baddies... after a while of that, I woke up.

NO IDEA what triggered this one... I've been in Florence while playing CITY OF BLOOD for a couple days now. Other than that, nothing that I can think of!

Organic takers on the quay with art and dirty words!

High-scoring words of the night so far:

TAKER (180 points) - against Wanda H. [5W, 4W]
ORGANA (560 points) - against Lisa D. [5W, two 4W]
QUAYS (110 points; 2W, 4L on Q), GIGOT (140 points; 4W, 5W) - against Scott J.

Thank goodness for voicemail. :D

Raymond also played "twat" and "dick" against me in Wordscraper. Maybe he's trying to tell me something, haha. Also, apparently it's Friday tomorrow. Where the heck did the week fly? I did see Tony posting on the Blood Games group, however! Corey also called me from a free phone call site... he is INSANE!

Your result for The Famous Artwork Test...

The Etch-a-Sketch

Very Good! You scored 11 on Artistry!

Draw it, shake it... draw it, shake it... draw it, shake it. You are The Etch-a-Sketch! While there isn't much money in professional etch-a-sketching like there is for painters and sculptors, it is still incredibly awesome. You were able to correctly answer at least 10 questions. I don't blame you, this was a hard test. If I had to guess, I'd say that the sculptures really messed with you the most.

I think you should invest in an etch-a-sketch (they really are pretty cool). Congratulations on getting this score, I know it wasn't easy.

I have included an answer key below should you want to review the test. I also welcome any and all feedback (as long as it's good) and please, don't forget to vote!

Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test...

Traditional, Vibrant, and Tasteful

20 Islamic, -3 Impressionist, 5 Ukiyo-e, -5 Cubist, -26 Abstract and 6 Renaissance!

Islamic art is developed from many sources: Roman, Early Christian, and Byzantine styles were taken over in early Islamic architecture; the architecture and decorative art of pre-Islamic Persia was of paramount significance; Central Asian styles were brought in with various nomadic incursions; and Chinese influences. Islamic art uses many geometrical floral or vegetable designs in a repetitive pattern known as arabesque. It is used to symbolize the transcendent, indivisible and infinite nature of Allah.

People that like Islamic art tend to be more traditional people that appreciate keeping patterns that they learned and experienced from their past. It is not to say that they are not innovative personalities, they just do not like to let go of their roots. They like to put new ideas into details and make certain that they will work before sharing them with others. Failure is not something they like to think about because they are more interested in being successful and appreciated for their intelligence. These people can also be or like elaborate things in their life as long as they are tasteful. They tend to prefer geometric patterns and vibrant colors.

Ah, RPG memories...

High-scoring word of the night so far:

UNFREEZE (90 points) - against Brenda M.

Lisa I.-K., Ian S., Matthew C., Ruri M., and Vincent D. added me on Facebook for the Blood Games... sweet! Corey and I are discussing my video game girlfriends, which reminds me of Permafrost... and MOTHER 3 plus other RPGs.

[21:09:12] Flami: the hamsterette: yeah, that's true... I'm in the desert / lost in rubble trying to save my girlfriend / in the Florence streets / at the elven Elder Tree
[21:11:19] Corey: does your other girlfriend that you want to marry know about this one?
[21:11:54] Flami: the hamsterette: it's a GAME girlfriend, haha
[21:13:12] Flami: the hamsterette: and I'm sure she would if she played the damn game :P
[21:14:27] Corey: oh... so you're hiding her, huh
[21:15:10] Corey: having a girlfriend that is a video game character is a serious thing. I think you need to get some professional mental help about this
[21:15:36] Corey: girls in video games that are not MMORPGs are not real people, and the ones that are? they are only barely real people
[21:17:31] Corey: and if you need more RPGs, the Mother 3 English translation is out any day now, finally :D
[21:17:47] Corey: Mother 3 is the sequel to Earthbound (which is Mother 2 in Japan) on the Super Nintendo
[21:18:36] Corey: Mother 1 never came out here :P they made a fully working English version but never released it.. but it's been found and released online. it was for the original NES

I could go the rest of my life without smoking pot

Hope I'm not getting sick - if I am, I wouldn't know whom to blame! (Martin?) The computer just restarted on me, AGAIN. Asad K. added me for the Blood Games, which is cool. Just checked Myspace for the first time in ages, and Flatlined offered me a free song for my birthday... that is SWEET! Since I was on there anyway, I stole this (somewhat modified) survey from Tracie:

Would you go the rest of your life without smoking pot? Not a problem.

Are you happy with yourself? Not as happy as I would like to be.

Were you happy when you woke up today? More like mellow.

What did you do last night? Had turkey at the townhouse, then came home and leveled up various characters!

What are you listening to right now? The radio... classic rock wins!

Is there someone who you can spend every minute with and be happy? Not sure.

What was the first thing you thought when you woke up this morning? "What time is it, and did I miss any phone calls?"

Last person to comment you? Jimi from Flatlined (Myspace), Billie (Facebook), and Mandy on LJ.

How do you feel about your hair right now? Mixed feelings.

When did you last cry? A few days ago.

Do you think a lot of people think bad things about you? I don't believe so.

Has someone of the opposite sex ever told you they loved you? Yes.

Think of the last person you held hands with. Would you kiss them again? Other than the time I held hands with Jeremy in service (and I have NO COMMENT on that :P), then it would have to be Korey. I definitely would NOT do so! Ew!

What season is your birthday in? Fall.

Who is currently in the house with you right now? Nobody, thank goodness.

Do you know the words to the song on your MySpace profile? I don't have any. Too annoying!

Whose bed did you last sleep in? Mine.

Have you ever slept in a car while it wasn't moving? Not really.

Who was the last person you had a phone conversation with for more than 2 hours? Hmm. I really don't know. My phone conversations don't tend to last that long!

Do you wear the seatbelt in the car? Always.

Do you get worried or stressed easily? Depends.

How many of your friends would you trust with everything? A few.

Which one of your family members do you wish you could see more often? My sister, but she's out of town right now, so that's understandable!

What are you going to do after this? Play games and accept various requests!

Besides this, what are you doing right now? Existing.

Will you be up before 7 AM tomorrow? Not unless I can't sleep!

Who will be the first person you call tomorrow? No idea.

Who did you last make mad? Toss-up between my mother or Korey.

Name a friend whose name begins with the letter A: Andrea.

What is something you disliked about your day? Getting sick! *hack cough*

Did you go outside for more than 30 minutes today? Not yet.

Anyone you would like to get things straight with? Probably.

Are you sleepy? I had a nap, so I'm good.

Are you okay with abortion? Depends.

What pants are you wearing? Dark blue ones with a heart patch from Rachel's grandmother.

Waiting on anything? Quite possibly.

Did you wake up in the middle of the night last night? Yeah, at about 3 AM.

Anything you need to do? Sure!

Anything hurting you now? Not physically.

Wearing nice clothes? The sweater MIGHT be counted as nice...

Do you like orange juice with or without pulp? With.

What are you doing for your next birthday? Turning another year older, as far as I know.

What is your favorite color? Blue, purple, black.

What color is your shirt? Periwinkle.

What are you thinking about right now? Whether I want something to happen.

Any plans for this weekend? The first AWANA of the year!

Do you sleep with stuffed animals? Sure.

How often do you remember your dreams? Pretty often.

You're stuck on an elevator with the person you've fallen the hardest for. What happens? Nothing! Sorry to bore you...

Who was the last person you had a deep conversation with? Hmm... Erik, perhaps.

Have you ever regretted letting someone go? Perhaps.

Have you heard a song that reminds you of anyone today? YES, dammit!

Has someone ever made a promise to you and broken it? Yep.

Have you ever fallen asleep in someone's arms? Yes.

Have you ever been a gymnast or a cheerleader? HAHAHAHA. No, definitely not!

Is there someone you don't ever want to be out of your life? Yes.

Do you give out second chances too easily? Unfortunately.

Think back to the last time you saw fireworks. Where were you, and whom were you with? August 2007 on English Bay for the Celebration of Light... I was with Jon / Vivian / Eric / Jeremy / Christon / Dylan. (plus a billion other people by association!)

Missing someone? Yeah.

How many months until your birthday? Eleven.

Do you curse a lot? It depends.

Who's the last person that made you smile? Mandy.

Do you think you have made a difference in anyone's life? I would like to think I have.

Last time you talked to your number one? (Billie) Talking to her right now.

What about your number two? (Candy) If Facebook comments count, then just a few minutes ago!

Do you get mad when your current boyfriend / girlfriend talks about an ex? The current which? Haha.

Do you smile often? Sure!

Was yesterday better than today? Meh, it'll be about the same.

What's the nearest green object to you? My green sweater that I'm wearing. Yes, I'm wearing two sweaters at once. Told you that I felt sick!

What is your current status? Single.

Do you hate any of your exes? Hmm... possibly not.

Has anyone of the opposite sex hurt you emotionally or physically? Yes to both.

If you were in the hospital, would your number one (Billie) come see you? I'd hope so!

Anything bothering you right now? A few things.

When did you first get Myspace? 2006.

Are you drifting away from any friends? Possibly.

Which one of your cousins is closest in age? Aaron, I think.

Are you wearing socks? Yep.

Do you have anything in your pockets right now? No.

Don't call him FAT KID to his face!

Bingos of the night so far:

GRIEVANT (62 points) - against Blake W.
AIRTHED (94 points) - against Pat K.

Nathan kindly picked me up, although I made him wait for a minute while I took a few turns killing my lesser vampire cousins. What can I say, I NEED THE GOLD! (Jose D. also added me for that purpose - he also knows Nathan and Danielle! So did James D. / Chris H. / Toni B. / Melanie L. / James R., hah.) At dinner, we discussed the election / Alice / results / names / church logistics / Joey / beer / organic salad / morality / divorces / sex scandals / ex-wives / cancer / Mom's new MP3 player / prosciutto in muffins / turkey (Mom forgot the cranberry sauce!) / the States / concerts at the Media Club. Pretty good dinner, for sure!

My mom liked Nathan's shirt: everyone in the helping professions should have one like that! ("I can only please one person a day. Today isn't your day, and tomorrow doesn't look good, either!") Dad thinks he should put a sign up in the kitchen: "YOUR MOM DOES NOT WORK HERE!" Haha, maybe so... the Awana kids are notoriously bad for leaving things everywhere, heh. Then Grandma called Nathan "Fat Kid" in front of him - SO AWKWARD! Just call him by his Chinese name, if "Nathan" is too hard to pronounce. :)

You know you're getting old when you watch the news voluntarily, specifically for politics and the economy!

No, I don't want Abby to die!

Bingo of the day so far:

ASTRIDE (59 points) - against Raymond C.

High-scoring words of the day so far:

ORDERLY (156 points) - against Skye D. [4W, 3W]
DOOZIES (207 points) - against George M. [two 3W]
ZINNIAS (160 points) - against Marta S. [5W, 2W]
RIDLEYS (396 points) - against Blake W. [two 3W, two 2W]

Hey, Johnny / Isabel / Gaurav M. [BLOOD] added me on Facebook - way cool! Am way too full from dinner yesterday to contemplate lunch today, so I skipped that in favor of uploading photos / editing posts / playing games. I'll have turkey some other time, perhaps when it's not raining. (HA!) But I am thankful for family, friends, and blessings. :D

Had a weird dream where a bunch of us were in a big house that was attached to a mall. Cindy and I went to the mall to get a LOT of shiny stickers for the kids, and the house was chaos when we got back. Joe T. said that his daughter Abigail was vomiting, and she died right there of unknown causes. (a bunch of people in the house had previously died of this dread disease) His wife Helen was understandably distraught, so Uncle Reuben was offering her comfort from a Chinese Bible. Then I got scolded by someone for looking in the kitchen on a spinner for pots, where I wasn't supposed to be.

Triggers: seeing Uncle Reuben at the new church yesterday, discussing stickers and charts with Auntie Vivian / Golden / Chrystal on Saturday, talking to Helen about her son, and seeing Joe with a huge camera at the banquet last night. The old church kitchen also had pots and such on a spinner in a cupboard, heh.

This is a photo that Vanessa took of me, Eric, and Christon last night at the banquet:

New building = seafood banquet!

Dropped Jon off early (he said I looked like an ESKIMO!), then went to McDonalds with my family. When we got back to the new church, I said hi to Cindy / Dianne, and found a place to sit with people I knew. Mark was surprised that the church booked the entire restaurant for dinner at Floata, and wondered if our church even HAD a thousand people to begin with! I told him that there were a bunch of people not here who would come to the dinner, then waved to Justin L. while admiring Darren L.'s top hat. Isabel says her brother's always had it - we haven't seen it, though! Sarah said her mom was playing the viola... later, we got asked to move to the overflow room / fellowship hall. I saw Michelle L.'s sister Jessie with a baby named Shira - Ryan L. told me that it was his auntie's baby. (he and his brother Ethan had spoons which lit up - SO COOL!)

Talked to Rosenda for a bit, and tried entertaining her sons Ian and Gabriel. Saw Silvester for the first time in years; YAY! Chatted to Melia, Angus, Sam, Emily, J-Mak, Lucas, Jeff, Anita (Jessica WAS up at the front with my brother!), Auntie Fonda, and others. The new building had a guestbook, which I'd heard about on Friday. At one point during the PRE-TRANSLATED service, Pastor Edward said: "You know, we didn't get a permit to be here... *LONG pause while we all think the worst* until FRIDAY!" We were all discussing this later: yeah, THE POLICE ARE RIGHT OUTSIDE TO ARREST US FOR UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY! (that, or we're just all here illegally anyhow, with the security guard's complicity!) It was interesting to see Eric and others in "marshal / warden" gear, haha.

The audio had some problems, but it went pretty well for what they had to work with! (temp setup?) I saw a woman talking on her cellphone at least TWICE, and Nathan later said that he'd stood throughout service... these two people decided to TALK all through the proceedings since it was a live feed. UGH! It's still a service, even if you aren't in the actual sanctuary! People congratulated Auntie Catherine and Uncle Y.C. - yay, first grandchild! Jeremy jokingly wondered where the dumpsters were, so instead we congregated in the front area. (talked to Dylan, Tony, Jon, Jeremy, Nathan, Christon, Eric, and others about Oscar's vs. the old Pho, and said hi to Belinda) Chatted to Jen, Lincoln, Vivian, Karen, Raymond (another default win?!), and Terry - it was good to see them all! I asked Mike what he thought about my "cool bomber jacket" paired with my camouflage hoodie... his first reaction was to ask whether I was sick, haha. No, thank goodness!

Eventually, a few of us went to the old Pho under new management, but still in the family. Turns out the waitress was wondering where all the people were, so Nathan told her that we'd moved. We talked about Congee Noodle House's health violations (Kevin would know!), mold, stuff you can get away with at home but NOT in a commercial kitchen, selling Pho on the street, flasks, RPGs and text-based games, smuggling vodka (looks like water!) or Scotch (looks like tea!) to church events, dressing up, and many other things. Eric thought we were practicing segregation later on when we split into two cars - hey, it just so happened that Jeremy went with HIM! When our car passed his after dropping Tony off at the Skytrain station, Nate honked and I waved. He saw us and waved back. We went to Brewery Creek (Dogfish Ale?), where we saw two GREAT beers to "bring" to the banquet: BLASTED CHURCH and SATAN RED. Then we stopped by J.J. Bean coffee shop, heh.

Went to Nathan's, and watched BARTON FINK - artsy, with a weird ending! Ah, interesting films about writer's block! (talked about analysis, bittorrent sites, PRIMER, delayed deliveries, the WAR ROOM and not fighting in DR. STRANGELOVE, etc.) Jeremy was all dressed up complete with tie, and Eric asked whom he was trying to impress: he jokingly said he was trying to impress ME, haha. (he'd better not try to impress a GUY!) Jon sent Dallas to the wrong address accidentally, but he arrived right when we were going to leave for the banquet! Entertained Joshua and Keenan (hitting each other with pop bottles), laughed when Eric dropped a chicken piece in my tea, had a disgusted reaction when Rich told us about a dried mummified mouse in a vase, bemoaned the acoustics / sound system, groaned at the recycling of songs and slideshows from this morning (although the second slideshow was a HIT!), and saw pictures of the new baby on Rich's phone.

Said hi to Sonny, but couldn't really talk to him due to someone being in the way. Bantered with Ray, while saying hi to Stella / Lily / Hannah / Grace / Benjamin / Maxine / Denise / Brian / Cindy / Chrystal and her mom / Mike T. and others. (Andrew took a picture of me too!) Sheena complimented me on my purple toque - yup, she got it for me! (I was surprised when the manager Hester did that the other day) We entertained ideas for the next Sunday dinner / Jon's birthday: durian sauce, beef penis, cricket cake, and other things don't sound GREAT! It was a good time, and now I must sleep! Ted H., Itamar R., Steve H., Jerome B., Kenny S., Kathryn T., Serhan R., Kasun W., Boey C., and Ken W. have added me to Facebook for the Blood Games, too!
