Awana family dinner, swinging, songs, creamy wild rice soup, quizzes

The Awana family outing was fun! At least Auntie Kam didn't swear in front of the kids THIS year... I'll always remember the classic line of "Quick! Get some plastic bags! There's all this dog shit on the ground, and we don't want the kids to step in it!" from a couple years ago. Yeah, and we don't want the kids picking up the English you probably learned from watching Hong Kong movies, either! :P

I rediscovered swinging on playground equipment... takes me back to the days of my childhood, for sure!
"This used to be my playground... this used to be my childhood dream...."

Right now, I'm having some creamy wild rice soup for dinner. Too bad Palmer will never have it at my place, since it's really good! ;)

Nickelback's Feeling Way Too Damn Good just came on the radio a while ago. Yup, something DID go wrong because I was feeling that way! Ah well, might as well process and deal some more! o_O

What I wrote last night in Palmer's friendship card... during Bible Study, no less!

Hey Palmer!

How's it going? I've been writing cards all night, and this is perhaps the most intensive one... figures I'd leave it for last! One thing first: that is indeed your Gum toothbrush in the packaging - I had to buy a new one anyhow, so thought I'd get one that fit yours! (if you know what I mean) Sure, I could just leave the toothbrush at my place... but I'm unsure whether you or they'd be comfortable with the idea of your staying the night at my place, or vice versa! (I'm not so sure I'd be totally comfortable with it, either.... yet.)

I've had some time to process / cogitate about recent events, and there are really no cards for this type of situation! (I thought this would be an acceptable card, because I do value our friendship! You're still special to me, and I want you to know that if there's anything I can do for you... PLEASE let me know!)

I have NOTHING against you, Alli, Jami, or Neko for the decisions made - in fact, I have to thank you for being so honest with me! There are so many things that I could say here... thanking you for increasing my confidence / allowing me to explore / for being very patient with me (even through my decided lack of response, I did enjoy our time together!) / just for continuing to be a friend to me! I definitely appreciate all of that and more; as you were saying earlier, I am kinda relieved, but also kinda miss it. Probably it's for the best - it wouldn't be tenable or fair for you to include me in your circle, especially since I don't really subscribe to that polyamorous lifestyle myself! But those will always be special memories for me... thank you for following my wishes!

I know we'll continue to be friends - the boundaries may not be so open now, but I will talk to you about it later. (I also have ideas for future platonic get-togethers [LOTR trilogy marathons!], but am not sure whether you or the girls would be comfortable with them... I hope they have nothing against me for my part in this!)

Yes, I was / am sad about the end of this, but we can build our friendship, and treasure those good memories! I wouldn't want our interactions to be forever awkward because of this - I still want you to feel comfortable around me, even to be an affectionate friend if that's possible! (if not, I'll understand!)

You know that I love my friends, and I still feel that friendly love for you - it's never wavered! I'm fast running out of room here, so I'll end this by wishing you all the best... please do take care of yourself, and I know I'll talk to you later! I'll think of you still as a decent good friend - I can discuss almost anything with you still, right? ("better to avoid these complications cropping up afterwards with all that's gone on!")

Love, me.

(I wrote this last night during Bible Study in tiny handwriting :P)

And now for the part I'd never send him:

I hate myself for letting myself become at least somewhat attached to you. Corey was right; he always is. I also hate you for allowing Alli and the others to dictate to you what you should do... I don't care if they're your girlfriends or not. It seems strange, but now I'm jealous of them. Who knows if LD relationships really work, but I'm cynical. I secretly hope it won't go well with them when they come up here in the summer, but I'm sure it will in a way. Time to find myself another love interest who's not into a strange thing. Goodbye!

Scourges, whips, prayer retreat, Randal not being Andy or Palmer, crazy randomosity, etc.

Tidbits from the past 12 hours:

* Yazmine warned me not to "scourge" on the cruise ship food. I instantly got visions of me as a dominatrix, whipping the food into shape. :D

* I saw a girl who looked very much like Melissa!

* Asked Jessica, Dawn, Vivian, and Karen about Hawaii.

* Wrote a LOT of stuff about current life events.

* Told everyone about the Alaska cruise.

* Gave Alan and Lee their WAY early birthday cards.

* Eric asked me who The Three are.. I told him about them.

* Asked Phil about his breakup with Megan in January... yup, a relationship's clearly gotta move SOMEWHERE after five years! Trying to be friends with her again is hard, but could be worth it. I'll pray for both of them, for sure!

* Steph thought Fidela looked like Erin from behind.. nope!

* Eric asked Steph if she knew of Palmer... yes, she did. She got him mixed up with Randal when we discussed next week's prayer retreat in Mission. Hahaha! Then again, she also got Randal mixed up with Andy ("the well-dressed guy") a little later on. Palmer's real name is JAYSON, and Randal isn't a Randy! :D (I'll introduce him to her on Sunday)

* Told Dawn that I'd received her Hawaii postcard.

* Andy made a joke about Westminster Abbey requiring a dress code of hooded cloaks to get in for the prayer retreat.

* Told Sabrina that I couldn't make it to Anita's bridal shower.

* Eric T. asked me where tomorrow's Awana family outing is... I have NO idea where the park might be! Guess we'll find out later!

* Gave Nathan a lot of change, which he definitely needed.

* Had an interesting discussion about private vs. group prayer.

* Went to Earl's for something to eat: at least 20 of us came out! Just like old times... :D

* Discussed Jon and Steph being on the worship team once a month for now. (despite my mom's paranoia about it, Eric can keep Jon's guitar for as long as he likes or until he actually needs the instrument again! :P )

* Andy told me that I was street-smart, which led to a discussion on drugs.

* I was crazily random on the ride home... "BRAIN VIBRATIONS! HAHAHAHAHA!" (I blame lack of sleep... alcohol is NOT a factor! :P )

When it rains, it pours...

What a day. Palmer says no more, while Stephen wants me again. o_O

I still wonder what I should do with Palmer's toothbrush... keep it or no? Eh, I'll ask later.

Musings, Zen Garden, Glass-Lopatka Case, Purity Test, Tell Me About Yourself

I am a little sad / upset, but it's for the best. MSN is a great invention for telling Eric certain things, hehehe. I can't sleep, which is probably due to lots of thinking over the situation. Nothing to do but move on and be friends, which is probably the best outcome, and one we both want.

I need a little zen garden with magical singing mushrooms, music and birds in the air, and a waterfall where I can push someone's head under. No, I'm not thinking of the person you think I might be. :P

Although that reminds me: I said I was going to tell Palmer about the Sharon Glass / Robert Lopatka case on Tuesday night. (we were discussing weird BDSM people :P) As things turned out, I didn't. Here's the story now. If you want more info (hopefully without all the question marks replacing characters on the keyboard :P), just Google "glass lopatka." No, I am not a freak. I found this one a while ago as I was looking some stuff up on the Sheila Bellush murder and quadruplets. (combining two of my interests: multiple births and true crime!) :P

Boredom / lack of sleep makes you do strange things:

* FINALLY add your cousin Wilson to your MSN list (with an email written just beforehand, so he doesn't wonder who the crazy stalker chick is!)
* add the teens Stanley and Michael to said list (no emails)
* take the tests below, one at someone's suggestion of last week

Now I should REALLY try for some sleep, or else! ;)

I feel a strange relief now as I see his IM. No more guilt attacks or anything of the sort. I'll give him back his toothbrush somehow. But I will still send my sister the picture sometime when she gets on MSN... I'm too lazy to email her. :P

Bumping into people unexpectedly, tomorrow's plans with Eric, weird names, caution, confusion, girls

Just took my sister out to dinner at Cimona's. The New York steak and key lime cheesecake were very good. She says that Jessica bumped into Dawn, Karen, and Vivian in a Hawaii elevator... what a small world! There was the time that my sister bumped into Andrea / Sherman or their parents at Niagara Falls recently, too! (although she may have been making that up... she's turning into Mom, with her bad memory! :P ) We saw this cute little girl at the restaurant; her name was Darren. I hope the name was spelled Darryn, Daryn, or somesuch! Then again, Corey knows a girl named Kevin, so.... yeah. o_O

Steph mentioned that she wanted to eat out after Fellowship tomorrow, so Eric should drive himself if he didn't want to do that. We don't go out to eat as often anymore (the last time was Red Robin's with Jason and Nathan on Good Friday) So I called him from the restaurant after we'd finished eating: he's all good with the idea of her driving. I'll meet them at church later on: I don't want to be late like last week, as I really have to talk to Randal about next Saturday since I do kinda want to go to the prayer retreat now. Who knows, maybe we WILL go out to eat since it's her first Friday night in town... :D

I gave her the book of logic puzzles and the "exotic dancer" graduation card, and she gave me a brochure on Alaskan Princess Cruises that my mom wanted me to read. (I'll look that over later on) When she saw the card, she thought that I wanted her to become an exotic dancer! No, of course not! Then she told me that Mom was a bit TOO paranoid over my meeting online people... believe me, I know! She cautioned me against ingesting drugs / becoming a prostitute, for goodness sakes! (never mind her mixed messages to me and Steph about giving her some grandchildren in / out of wedlock! :P )

Caution is good, but paranoia isn't. Steph thinks that Mom can do a background check on Palmer through her friend Mei Lin, whose husband is a cop. Then again, Steph also wants a picture of Palmer just to make sure that he's not the guy she saw on TV recently who harassed women through the Vancouver Dateline service! (she asked me about his name, middle name, and hair color: "Maybe he cut his hair!") I'll send one to her later: it's not urgent! It'll be the one that Dave saw when he asked me the same question a couple weeks ago, haha.

She also told me that Auntie Yeu Tin (Melissa's mom) has people at work calling her Eugene. They're not her coworkers, but rather correspondents who ask for Eugene. Aiyoh. (her friends used to call her U-10 in high school, but that was different!)

Corey wants me to take him out for steak... maybe if he ever gets over here! As it is, he's kinda thinking that it's bad luck for me to even BE on a ship! (we were discussing my mom's fractured English in her email, haha) He bets I do everything like a girl: clocking people a good one (by accident or not), slapping, and anything else he can think of. That's because I *am* one, sweetheart. Don't you ever forget it. :P

Realizations about the bridal shower, and a pre-cruise to-do list

I just realized that I can't make it to Anita's bridal shower because of the Alaska cruise.

Stuff I must do before May 23:

* book off Awana for May 28 (second time in the month, bleh! :P)
* book off Sunday School for May 29 (poor Frances can get Auntie Bessy to help her!)
* tell Esther, Maxine, Sabrina, and Karen that I can't make it to the shower after all
* write Lee's and Alan's birthday cards, and give them out
* find out Alaska weather from Chris W.
* pack a bunch of books and clothing
* make sure my sister will put digital pics from the cruise online
* REMEMBER not to use the Net "services" on the cruise (expensive!)

Corey's now warning me that boats DO get thrown over mountains up there, and stuff gets destroyed on these mountains. Thanks, dude!

[16:31:37] mrptptpt: well, it's probably pretty cool :P hopefully, your boat doesn't get thrown over a mountain, though
[16:31:45] mrptptpt: that's been known to happen up there :P
[16:36:00] AlenaBrolxFlami: cruise ships are in water, aren't they?
[16:39:29] mrptptpt: right, and boats in Alaska can get thrown up on top of mountains :P
[16:39:51] mrptptpt: I don't think it happens often, but it happens
[16:40:23] mrptptpt: when it happens, most of the mountain is pretty much destroyed too... the stuff on it anyway.. the actual mountain is probably fine :P
[16:43:23] AlenaBrolxFlami: aiya.
[16:44:46] mrptptpt: so be careful around mountains, okay? :P
[16:46:04] mrptptpt: this stuff is caused by gigantic waves bigger than a wave could possibly get around there without breaking lots of laws of physics :P I saw some stuff about this... they had people all over the world researching it
[16:47:20] AlenaBrolxFlami: all right then, I'll keep safe :P
[16:50:06] mrptptpt: they figured out that the waves are caused by landslides... a mountain drops a whole shitload of dirt and stuff into the water, if it falls with a huge air pocket underneath it... then all that air and the stuff from the landslide displaces about 8 bazillion gallons of water, resulting in what probably happens when you set off nuclear bombs underwater, and the wave wipes out the whole side of the mountain :P
[16:51:31] mrptptpt: they had a guy on there that had a story about being in his boat, and suddenly he was ABOVE the mountain... and somehow managed to ride it out and land safely.. I forget how the landing part worked, I think he ended up back in water... maybe the wave pulled him back down again, I forget :P but anyway... those waves will fuck your shit up :P
[16:56:00] AlenaBrolxFlami: AIYOH
[17:05:07] mrptptpt: so have fun! ;)
[17:05:20] AlenaBrolxFlami: I will ;)

Oversleeping AGAIN / forgotten toothbrush / Alaskan cruises / French onion ramen

I went to bed at around midnight, and just got up at 1:25. Yes, I slept for 13.5 hours. :P (I've done that before...) I think I needed the sleep, what with the previous 48 hours or so. But that means I overslept again, since I had plans with Shannon for exactly this time today... sigh. Sound familiar to anyone? True, I could have set my alarm, but I thought I'd be waking up in time... just like last Tuesday evening. There's no way I can make it down to Lonsdale Quay in reasonable time, even if I wanted to! I just haven't seen her since December or something, and didn't talk to her for about five months afterwards.

Oh well, at least I left a message on her machine stating why I wouldn't be there today! She'd better not call my parents' house to find out where I am, as is her wont when these situations come up / my line is forever busy! I've had it out with her before because of this, and if she does it AGAIN.... her name WILL be mud! At least I now have time to myself, and a break in my busy schedule to just chill. ;) (I will NOT oversleep tomorrow when I have plans with Yazmine, since that would truly be nasty! :P)

My mom just sent me and Jon an email:

Hi kids,

Good news! After 4 hours with the travel agent, I have booked Princess cruise to go to Alaska on May 23 and coming back May 30 in the morning. We will fly to Alaska on the 23 and then board the ship coming south to Vancouver. We will find out details about the flight next week because Princess is going to charter a plane for the passengers. We will be arriving Vancouver on May 30 early in the morning. Just tickets and cruise already cost more than $5000.00 dollars. There will be at least $1000.00 more when we pay for transfer from airport to ship, tips, and one side trip. For our family get together, I think it's worthy.

Leslie, by middle of next week, you can be on line to tell the passport office to hold off sending you the passport till after May 30, they might send you earlier then there will be no problem, you can use your photo ID and the small plastic birth certificate to go to Alaska for now. The internet address for passport office is http://www.ppt.gc.ca or Canada Post Web site at http://www.canadapost.ca

Jon-how was your meeting with aunt janis, I will call you one day this week.

Love,
Mom

I'd like to hear what my brother thinks of Aunt Janis for sure!

Alaskan cruises sound very interesting! Go, us! :D

(no, my siblings and I have never been on a cruise before!)

P.S. I've just tried French onion ramen, and it's very good. :D
(only Superstore seems to have it, though!)

March-April Bubble Tea Tally, Dream Meaning, Sinfulness

I called Yazmine after the fun afternoon I had: we're meeting on Friday, and changed from Metrotown to Broadway / Granville because the mall would be packed with the teenagers. (she doesn't like them much because they're rowdy and disrespectful :P )

Corey, Chris S., and Darren gave me advice too. Now I don't know why I'm so sleepy... perhaps I'll sleep early tonight in silence. ;)

BUBBLE TEA TALLY FOR MARCH / APRIL (4)

honeydew @ Tazza (Wednesday, March 23)
mango @ Peanuts [Richmond Public Market] (Thursday, April 21)
raspberry @ Peanuts [Richmond Public Market] (Tuesday, April 26)
coffee @ some Chinese restaurant (Wednesday, April 27)

Rich-levels of hot sauce, and soda with egg at Pho

Yes, I managed to pay for someone's birthday Pho meal. (I even tried some soda with egg: now I can tell Nathan that it doesn't taste that bad) I exposed him to Rich-levels of hot sauce where your soup is VERY red, and discovered that he can't use chopsticks. Ah well, we had a really enjoyable conversation. He wants me to be at the Wednesday thing, but we'll see on that one. We hung out, then headed our separate ways.

Birthday tantrums, halvah, dessert crepes, embarrassment, roses and Borax

I wished my friend Jayson a happy birthday earlier. He threw the virtual equivalent of a temper tantrum, and mentioned that certain people had dragged him into a chat room labelled "hb2y." In his words, they mocked him... he has a feeling that the day is just going to get worse. From what I saw of the logs someone sent me, they were just showing him that they loved him. Mock, indeed! :P (he really doesn't like people to remember his birthday, for some reason... what a weird person to be with, wouldn't you think? :P)

I also went shopping just now, and bought some chocolate halvah to try. Yes, I know it's a Jewish thing (it was in with the cheese section), but it might be good! I'll try new things that seem like they'd appeal to me, haha. I also bought some dessert crepes for later on: if Jayson doesn't like the idea, too bad. I'm planning to pay for his Pho dinner, mwahahaha. Alli wants me to do something embarrassing to him, as I'd earn the undying love and affection of her, Jami, and Neko. I'll see what I can cook up... ;)

Remember those roses Eric H. bought me on Valentine's Day? I decided to FINALLY see how they were doing from all the Borax (yes, I am fully aware that it is now May :P ), and they preserved quite well. I'm keeping the roses and the petals somewhere around, but am really unsure of their final destination. Right now, they're in a state of undignified repose (if such a thing can be written about roses and petals) on a soggy paper towel in the kitchen. I just hope that washing loads of Borax down the sink drain doesn't do anything dodgy to the apartment plumbing... coz that would be bad, y'know? o_O

Now, to do other things before I leave at 6:05-ish...

Flickr, passport office, food, Dawn's Hawaii postcard, Anita's bridal shower info, tonight's plans

This is very cool. Get it done here! :D

I was up by 7:25 to go the passport office at 8:30, where I applied for a passport. Hopefully, I'll get it by Hon's birthday. (May 25) Afterwards, my parents and I had breakfast at a Chinese restaurant nearby, and then went shopping for some groceries and seafood. Thanks to my mom, I now have some almond tofu dessert: that should probably do for my lunch, since I had congee / mushroom omelette / toast / macaroni with shredded ham / tea / milk / coffee for breakfast. I wish I could nap, but I can't because I have plans at 2:30-ish to go grocery shopping. After that, I *might* be able to nap... but given my recent track record of oversleeping, it's probably not such a good idea! Eh, I'll nap after my Pho dinner... that should do, even if it means not being a good hostess. Unless I'm wired from the caffeine I was mainlining earlier... yikes! ;)

I also got a surprise in the mail today: a Hawaii postcard from Dawn! I'd vaguely heard she was going there, but wasn't quite sure when. I did see her at church, though! I'll thank her for it on Friday / Sunday. We'll see if I got to Fellowship with my week, haha. Reminds me, I have to call Yazmine to confirm the time we're meeting at Metrotown. (that is, if my body doesn't conspire against me! :P)

Esther, Sabrina, Maxine, and Karen C. sent me an Evite to Anita's bridal shower on May 29 from 12:30 to 4. It's at Maxine's place, and I should be able to get a ride from Frances there after Sunday School. I'll have to confer with her and Lily about rides there and back: plenty of time to do that, though! After missing baby showers for Helen C. and Winnie, I can finally make it out to one of these things! *laughs at memories of Winnie's bridal shower and party, especially the "maxipads as fashion accessories" video and Kenny's bad reaction to the cake Winnie baked for him*

For my own reference:

From: Esther, Sabrina, Maxine, and Karen
Location: Maxine's Place
When: Sunday, May 29, 12:30pm to 4:00pm
Anita's BIG day is quickly approaching, and she'd like all of you to celebrate with her over good food.

Bring your chef's hat and culinary skills and you'll be put to work creating your own feast!! All ingredients for lunch and dessert will be provided at a cost of $7.

Bring along with you a favourite recipe on a landscape layout of 12cmx9cm and we'll be putting together a recipe box for her (if you need more space feel free to use 2 pages).

Please pay Esther, Maxine, or Karen C. in advance of the big day.

Please RSVP by Sunday May 22, 2005

The only problem with that is I don't have a favorite recipe / a cook's inclination. Time to scour the Internet for these things... or whatever. :P

Heh... Chrystal's invited, but she's in Korea. It's the thought that counts! ;)

Might as well register with Evite, too... ;)

I should get extra money when I go shopping at Save-On Foods later.

Script for dinner:

Aiya. Crazy boy. It's your birthday. No problem for me to pay for you!

Aiya. Sui jie. Hai ley-goh sang-yut. Oi mi-dan bei lay!

(yes, I know... my phonetic rendering is terrible! :P)

(all done in horrible malformed Chinese, which he won't understand anyhow :P)

Edit: Since the pictures aren't showing up (for now?), it's supposed to be my name.

Edit 2: And of course as SOON as I edit the post to explain what it's supposed to be, the pictures are right back up again. Oh well.

Quizzes and boredom

Here are some quizzes, since I'm bored at my parents' place. :P

My sister wants me to log off her laptop, too. Sleep, soon.

Bakesale Organizer
You are 54% mature, 63% kind, 50% brilliant and 25% healthy.

You handle responsibility really well, do nice things for others, and are actually pretty smart! However, you're a bit, well, teddybear-esque. But that's okay! You'll die young, but at least you
found clever ways to be nice to other people. I like you anyway, you know?

Mildly Useless
You are 45% Useless!

There are a few random dates and names bouncing around in your head, but they don't take up too much room. You've saved most of that room for valuable intelligence (such as how to fix a VCR, perhaps?), but have enough useless knowledge to impress a date once in a while. Be careful, though, not to trot out your useless knowledge too often, or you might run out!

Rock Star
You scored 98%!

You damn rock star. You know all the basics, and if you got any wrong, I bet it was that stupid You're So Vain question. Your friends are probably intimidated by your knowledge of classic rock and envy your impressive collection. When a classic rock song comes on the radio, you can probably identify it before the vocals kick in most of the time. You probably get good scores on the "maiden name of Clapton's mom" tests, too.

You scored in the second-highest category. You're pretty confident with your sexuality, and you're not uncomfortable with people whose sexuality differs from yours. You may still have some unanswered questions, but there aren't any issues that are affecting your life in a negative way. Good for you.

New baby, possible dinner, quizzes

Kenny and Winnie have a new baby girl: Megan Hannah, born May 5. Yay!

Today's agenda: Possibly dinner with parents, then stay overnight because my mother doesn't trust me to get up early tomorrow to go to the passport office. UGH! I will get up early! I think it's more like she doesn't want to drive to my place early in the morning because it's "too far" for her. Maybe if it were motivated by the cost of gas these days... aiya!

My sister, Denise, Brian, and Clement are back!

At church today, I saw Eric H. for the first time in months. That was a nice surprise: he, Citrus, Danielle, and I talked before service about MSN; what "über" meant; not being online too much except late at night; my brother being back soon so we could hang out; how our weeks were; Danielle going to China next Sunday; and the BBQ that Danielle's relatives threw for her birthday on Friday night.

I talked to Christon briefly: he's leaving for Edmonton next Monday, but I should still see him next Sunday. He'd had a LONG week, so he was still tired even if he slept at 10:30 last night. I'll miss him and his super singing, and I hope we keep in touch. At least he'll be back for Christmas!

After service, I went downstairs and talked to the teens for a bit. Stanley was showing Jason, Michael, and the other guys some game of his with a lot of nudity in it... as he said: "Plenty of boob and nipple! Very interesting!" Olivia told me that maybe that was THEIR definition of interesting, but not ours! She is SO right! The guys are a bag of hormones. :P

I went outside to talk to my friends: Denise, Brian, and Clement are all back for the summer! Of course, I hugged them all hello! (Fidela isn't back till tomorrow) I spent some time talking to Denise: right when I was about to wonder aloud whether my sister's plane had landed yet, I heard her scream. Yup, the hyper person is back in town! (as I was telling Adam and Andrew later, she's nearly always hyper... even if she didn't sleep at all last night, and cried on the plane home :P) Brian and I hugged hello, and he thanked me for his birthday card. That was definitely not a problem for me! I talked to Eric M., Eric H., and Nathan for a while: I dragged my sister over so that I could hug her hello in front of Eric M. When she asked Nathan how life without Jon was, he responded: "It's so very hard. I mean, he's my arm! How can I survive without my arm?!" Typical funny Nathan. :D

I talked to Randal for a while: since the May 21 half-day prayer retreat up at Mission doesn't cost me any money, I might go. (I was under the impression that it cost a whole whack of money) He offered me a ride there, but said that Connie could also arrange a carpool. Well, I'll see.. it's from 10 to 4, and it IS the long weekend. He also said that he lost interest in my copy of Vancouver, so he would return it to me later. (the second half wasn't quite as interesting) But he did say that The Wild, White Goose: The Diary of a Female Zen Priest sounded interesting... when I'm done with it (in a few months :P), I'll lend it to him. He asked if I was going to Sunday School, since the ride to Frog Hollow is lonely for him. Wish I could help the poor guy out, but I help with the toddlers. (who cry, and are mostly well-behaved)

After listening to my sister and her friends (Vanessa, Jackie, Melia, Karen Grace, Margaret, Erin, and others) scream themselves hoarse, we all decided to go our separate ways. I said hi to Kevin, Andrea, Sheena, and Irene before going to the front of the church. I saw Joe, Helen, and their new baby Nathaniel there: he looks very cute! I talked a bit to them, Karen K., and Lee before going in to help with the toddlers. They were a weepy, rambunctious lot today!

After Sunday School, I talked to the twins Adam and Andrew: they called me "Lassie," asked about my sister, and generally talked to me about stuff. It was cool; I should talk to the youth of the church more often. My sister greeted Anita with, "Who's the hottie in red?" Like other people, Anita didn't recognize her at first because she had long straight hair instead of curly frizz! At lunch, my dad's friend Uncle Bick showed us his Australian money: it IS all plastic and feels different than our currency... very neat!

It's going to be fine having my sister back for good, depending on where she finds a job. I'll take her out for steak and key lime cheesecake at Cimona's, the restaurant I went to last week with my parents and aunt. It'll be cool when my brother gets back, as well. We can all hang out together, and I can give Nathan my ginger ice cream!

My sister just showed me her new yellow panties, and then asked: "Who ELSE would touch your boobies? I'm your sister!" I was instantly jealous of her underwear (I think it's the bright color), and didn't give her any answers to the last question since that was unacceptable.

I just saw something about a Scrabble meetup on my friendsfriends page. Too bad I don't think I can make it out since I really don't feel like going to Metrotown two times in three days. There are other reasons, but that's the main one. Ah well. Some other time, maybe. Or not, as I think I'll lose even at Scrabble. (My nice friends: "But you're so GOOD with words! You'll kick their butts and everyone will bow down to you!") Haha, I can only dream of achieving domination at Scrabble in the Bread Garden... I'll just have to satisfy my and Dave's curiosity later on! Sure, someone's TOLD me how you play board games at the Bread Garden... but there's nothing like seeing it for yourself... which I hope to do before the year is out. Heh.
