Brokeback Mountain, rat poop, chicken lasagna, and strawberry / banana milk

Perfect timing today, as Sam arrived just when I headed out to wait for him! He was afraid that I'd be waiting out in the cold for a long time: not so, as I've adjusted to things quite nicely! We discussed reading break and Brokeback Mountain: it's still playing in theatres, and it's not just the gay thing either! I told him what it was like from my perspective, since he still wasn't sure if he wanted to see it. When we got to church, various people (Julie / Jason / Jessica / Elaine) were freaking out over rat poop. Yes, the church has had a rat / ant problem for some time. We got a big box full of stuff for Awana, which is good: finger puppets, workbooks, store items, pins, and various other shiny items = yay! :D

After I got home early, I had some chicken lasagna for dinner. It was okay, if a bit watery. Oh well. I have now discovered that I like banana milk better than strawberry milk. Yet strawberry bubble tea with milk and the whole bit (pearls / jelly / slush) is generally pretty good: maybe it's the inclusion of the tea and different concentration of milk... go figure! Now I want some bubble tea... maybe next week or something. Nah, the banana milk's not a case of "How do you milk a banana? Where are its nipples?" *laugh*

LAN parties, Wikipedia, fluffy puff marshmallows, Homestar Runner, Warcraft, Blogger, dead cats

Alan sent us an email about LAN parties, since he'd just talked to Derek about it. He's not a supporter of ripped / pirated stuff, but for the sake of fellowship, he might arrange something if people are interested. That's SUCH a guy thing with w3c and whatever else is out there! Ah well, whatever brings 'em closer together, I guess? *shrug* Me, I'm just happy in my own world, hahaha... I wouldn't be totally averse to a girl's night out sometime, but someone else will have to come up with the idea since I'm not that great at organizational stuff!

I decided to Wikipedia those things that Eric M. had told me about yesterday. No articles exist on "fluffy pink marshmallows," but I did find one on the Homestar Runner Characters with bios on everyone from Marzipan to the Cheat. Lo and behold, there's a character named Marshie the Marshmallow. Homestar Runner had a job in a marshmallow commercial for Fluffy Puff Marshmallows, but lost his job to that talking marshmallow. So that's what Eric means by those marshmallow references...

(Corey did ask whether it took a long time to look stuff up on the Internet: it does when you have 15 minutes to take a shower and get ready to leave, and also when you get lost within all of Wikipedia's shiny links! :P)

As for "kaldorei," it's really a night elf. Eric did allude to this last night, and I thought it had something to do with World of Warcraft. Looking up "kaldorei spiders" brought me to an article on races in the Warcraft universe. Very interesting stuff...

Also, why the heck does Blogger seem to be eating my posts? It's annoying as heck!

Someone in a forum I go to regularly has her dead cat as part of her signature. I realize she's in mourning over the cat (and understandably so), but that just reminds me of the time that I saw roadkill with Kate and Steph at the bus stop quite a few years ago! Not pleasant... blerk!

Sam will pick me up soonish, so gotta go! *wave*

"Check out the orange moon!" / Bonus Questions 5051-5100

No, not THAT kind of orange moon... perverts. ;)

Eric picked me up at 6:20, and reminded me to Wikipedia "fluffy pink marshmallows" along with "kaldorei." I didn't have time to do that when I got off MSN with him, since I took a shower and then got ready to go out! We discussed the Jonestown Massacre (which HE wasn't going to Wikipedia!), CSI, craziness, songs, gas prices, and his dad calling to see whether he'd be home for dinner. (not likely since he'd already picked me up and we were heading towards the bridge!) When we got to church, Eric noticed that I wasn't going into the building, and asked me whether we were in the church or the CE building. We were in the church, but I was going to eat some Pho (large 9) first since I had time! (there was this cute kid that I interacted with... I love kids!)

When I got back to church, I talked about Reading Break with Sheena while we checked out Christon's pictures / videos from the Starfield concert on his digicam. He'd given some pictures to Janette, which she apparently hadn't given her brother Jason yet... oops. I got a ride in tomorrow with Sam, and also gave Vanessa the money I owed her, which she appreciated. Ben wanted Nathan to play Stairway to Heaven on his guitar, which wasn't happening since he forgot how that went! (when Jon gets back, maybe HE can play it!) After Fellowship, I talked to Nathan / Eric / Frances / Andrea about personality types since that was part of our discussion. I seem to be an IIFP, and we joked about how Eric certainly was Perceiving since he was constantly late! (hahaha)

Frances and I discussed our plans for the weekend: Awana, church, memorial service for some girl who got caught in an avalanche, dinner with her / Mel's parents, birthday parties, etc. She also asked how the toddlers were in Sunday School, and whether the format had changed any: singing's now at the end instead of the beginning, which doesn't quite capture their attention as much as storytime does, but I don't know why Auntie Cynthia and Auntie Tracy changed it! Andrea's been to see Billy and Stella's new baby boy: they think they'll name him Benjamin, and they were so set on the name Naomi for a girl! Nathan made up jokey names such as Bonita and Benomi... sure, you can convince Stella of those when she gets back! The baby's such a boy, and scrunches up his forehead a lot: he also wants to eat constantly, just like Billy. We can't believe Billy's a dad now, but apparently he's quite into it! There's this full-screen TV thing at their place, and you can watch the birth. (ew?) She also updated me on how Elaine was doing in Hawaii: Sophia and John are visiting with her, and it does help to have someone there when you get home! Maybe she'll come visit in the summer... who knows? We also discussed Brokeback Mountain and her feeling sick.

Frances, Eric, and I then waited around for the other group to be done: Eric joked to Nathan that we were going to assassinate everyone else. We discussed how much we knew about the other people at church: Frances knows Eric since he's been here a while, drives me, and is Jon's friend. She asked how Jon was: Eric says he's walking 14K for some cause or other: I didn't get the email he apparently sent out to a bunch of people! (Jeremy's visiting him too!) Eventually, Christon came out and invited us to hang with his group since they were done. Yay for not having to hang around on the staircase near the guys' washroom! :P So we did, and discussed food / hockey teams / Steph for a while. The Sweden-USA game is something else, since it's always been Canada-USA when it comes to the Olympics! When the girls were FINALLY done, Karen told us that she was going to France by herself to pick up Vivian.. they'll hang out for about three weeks, and would stay longer except for Karen's summer school. We're all so JEALOUS! After a bunch of joking around (which included Steph telling us about the time she elbowed Rachel in the face on a school ski trip!), we all left the church... Eric told me that he didn't think we were going to eat with Phil, which was fine with me! (he hadn't eaten since his big lunch, so I was concerned... Daniel got stuff for Nathan to eat, so that was fine)

On the way home, Vanessa called Steph to bug her about a certain song. Then she called back to tell us to look at the low moon, which we couldn't do right then. But we certainly saw it while we were on the bridge: it was definitely very orange! We discussed plans for tomorrow: I'll get an early ride home from church at 5:30 with my dad. I probably can't help with the recording work at the end of Awana with game scores and such, but then I get to be online earlier than normal... such is the tradeoff! (I'd have talked to Auntie Rebecca about it, but forgot... I could talk to Michelle about it too, but she might not be able to) Steph's sleeping over at Vivian's, hanging out with Grandma, and then driving Ivan's friends to Floodlight. We also discussed Eric H. and his paying for pizza / wings / Brokeback Mountain... no, we are NOT going out since Fay's in China and such! :P Good times, even though my sister thinks I'm horrible for liking true crime and stuff about killers / massacres!

Got these questions from this QuestionClub LJ post by Arthurbulla. I'm going to post the survey in 50-question batches, like the original. No worries there! Five thousand questions and answers wouldn't fit as an entry, anyhow. :P

The only complete copy... you'll have to go around erasing answers.

5051. Is it as easy to make you happy now as it was when you were a child? I actually think it's easier in some ways, and harder in others. Meh.

5052. Watch a child breathe. It will fill its lungs completely with air. Adults shallow breathe, not filling their lungs completely. Why the change? Children don't care as much about pollutants and such as adults do.

5053. Does each person have their own dramatic personal mythology, including you? Yes.

5054. Are you completely in control of your body? No.

How about your mind? Somewhat.

5055. Do you know yourself well enough to understand why you feel the way you do? Not really.

5056. Why is it better to put your feelings into your own words than to let movies and songs and books put them into words for you? So you know how you yourself feel, without any other influences.

5057. Are you very precise about what words you use to describe your feelings and thoughts? Sometimes.

5058. Pick any noun: Bubble.

5059. Now say it, think it, and type it until it loses all meaning: Bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble bubble.

5060. Are you thinking anything strange and new about that word? No.

5061. Are you wondering what that word really means? No.

5062. What is the essence of that word? It is something you can eat (bubble tea), something you can pop, something in a wrap, and a part of a video game.

5063. Insert the word into this sentence:

A blue __your word__ is guided away, guided and guided away, that is the particular color that is used for that length and not any width, not even more than a shadow.

What does your word mean in a strange context like this? Reminds me of the Fates, who would spin yarn according to however long each person was supposed to live.

Does it mean nothing? No.

something? Yes.

the same thing? No.

something different? Sure.

5064. How much effect does context have on a word's meaning? A lot.

5065. Can you perceive the subtlest meanings of words? Yes!

5066. Do you try to write / say what you are feeling in a true and simple way? Yes.

5067. When you talk / write, how do you tell another person how you're feeling? I use description.

5068. Do you tend to describe the feeling you have, or describe the event that gave you that feeling? The event and the feeling... depends on the person I'm talking to.

5069. Describe the feeling of:

deepest dark depression: A black hole and a grey misty fog settling over you, so much so that you can't even think much beyond the immediate. When your thoughts are pushed into the future, they're only of killing yourself.

sadness: Your expectations were dashed, and so you cry.

being cold: You want to feel warmer so that your heat equilibrium can be normalized. Clothes, fires, slippers, and hugs / cuddles can all fill that need.

being in love: Can't be described... you're just always smiling and being goofy in the presence of the person who you love with all your heart, even through their flaws. You also know that they feel the same about you.

feeling high (about life): You're euphoric and all hyper crazy!

5070. When you described those feelings, did you tell what they feel like so the other person would know... or did you describe events that would make the other person start to feel those feelings? What they felt like.

5071. Love is everything. It is the deepest most intimate connection between two people. It is life.

Two figures moving against the grey. Cherry cheeks, ripe with blood... and with bright fascinated eyes, they lock hands and spin and spin in the swirling snow, faster and faster, until they topple down, a pile of colorful winter clothes, tangled and shaking with laughter.

Which of these are about love? The first one.

Is the second description about love even though it never mentions love? Yes.

5072. Which description do you like better? The second.

5073. Describe these feelings through events so that the person reading what you wrote feels them:

energy: About to start running / sprinting seconds before a race.
misery: Loved one dies, friends hate you, boyfriend broke up with you, you got fired from your job...
loneliness: Laying at home, having been alone for a long time, crying. Nobody's around to comfort you, not even those whom you thought you could count on.
being cold: Standing in the middle of a frozen lake in shorts and a tanktop whilst in the middle of a frigid winter blizzard.
being in love: The birth of your very first child, husband by your side.
feeling high (about life): When everything just works out right.

5074. Which of your descriptions do you like better, the ones in question 5069 or in question 5073, and why? 5069, since a lot of things can make you feel a certain feeling... not just one thing in particular.

5075. The thief _______ that everyone steals.

What word would you fill in the blank with? believes

5076. On 5075, what word would you fill in the blank with out of these (thinks, knows)? knows

5077. How does the choice between these two simple words change the meaning of the whole sentence? It changes it from a belief into concrete knowledge.

5078. Is it important to be honest and precise about all communication? Yes.

5079. Are you ever afraid to write / say / think how you feel? Yes.

Do you write / say / think it anyway, or become intimidated and try to avoid it? I do it anyway.

5080. Are you interested in the deepest most sacred parts of people (and in sharing your deepest most sacred parts), or would you rather keep your relationships casual? It depends on how comfortable I feel with the person, and how long I've known them for.

5081. If you'd rather keep it casual, then what are you afraid of? Being too vulnerable, telling them things that they'd really rather not know, etc.

5082. Are you afraid of revealing too much of yourself? Yes.

5083. Are you afraid of being burdened by knowing too much about others? Yes.

5084. When do you feel the most raw and vulnerable? When someone sees me cry, or when someone knows stuff about me that they shouldn't.

5085. Isn't raw and vulnerable just another way of saying open and honest? Not really.

5086. Every time you are open and honest, there is the chance that someone will hurt you. Will you allow yourself to close down and hide out of fear? Yes.

5087. Are you afraid of being open and honest because you are afraid of hurting people's feelings? Yes.

5088. Would it make someone a stronger person to hear what you really think about them instead of what they want to hear you think about them? Maybe.

5089. Would hearing the truth from people help you be stronger? Yes.

5090. Think of 2 friends, a relative, and a love (or crush, or another friend): Shannon, Karen Choo, my mom, and Anita. (another friend, NOT a crush... I don't have crushes on girls! :P)

5091. Write in the simplest way possible one thing that is true to each person, that you haven't said to them before out of fear (you don't have to be mean, just honest).

Shannon's need to be repetitive and slow about processing information when I've already done my best to process it without unnecessary repetitions really bothers me.
Karen Choo's tendency to be pedantic and detail-oriented about the most trivial things really bugs me. (and I'm an OCDL!)
My mom's tendency to insist that I like certain things when I really don't just shows that she doesn't know a lot about me. I am not stupid or deserve criticism just because I have different opinions than she does!
Anita's tendency to be TOO rigid and severe about things bothers me too. Just go with the flow!

5092. What do you want to hear the truth about from each person?

Why do you keep calling me when I've already told you that I don't require that much phone time from anyone?
What do you really think about me?
Do you really love me like you say you do?
Am I really the help you say I am, or am I just getting in the way?

5093. Do you think you will try to improve the depth and quality of your relationships by being more honest, and by asking complete honesty of others? Yes.

5094. Do you ask people how their souls are? No.

Why not? Because that's a personal matter between them, their mentors (if any), and God.

5095. Say you asked someone, "How is your soul?" Then they asked you, "What are you talking about?" How would you explain the question? I'd just say that I was using a different way to ask the same old "How are you?"

5096. Are you honest with yourself? I try to be.

5097. Can you tell when another person isn't being honest with themselves? Sometimes.

5098. If yes, would you talk to them about it to try and help them grow? Yes.

5099. Does your life seem to come back to and move forward through a certain idea or set of ideas? Yes.

What is it / are they? I'm not quite sure myself!

5100. Write the simplest and truest thing you know in your own words (don't let it sound cliché): God can be there for you when earthly beings can't. I hope that wasn't a cliché.

Group Hug, Worst Jobs in History, Chocolate, Spectral Analysis, and More!

I emailed Eric M., and then he showed up on MSN: whee! Being there at around 6:30 straight from work? Heh, that's fine... at least then I can stay home and not have to be too perky. :P Although he says that he could give me a ride, but he doesn't know if he'll be able to eat... yikes! He doesn't want anything from me, which is fine. He brought up blubber schnitzel, gooey spider cakes, kaldorei spider kabobs, and spider sausage as possible dinner items: I prefer Pho, thanks. (although apparently I should look up "kaldorei" on Wikipedia) He'll be here at around 6:05 after leaving his office: just time enough to take a shower! Seeya!

Group Hug... an old favorite site of mine. "True" confessions... comedy gold!

I was just looking at my Cool Tricks and Trinkets Newsletter from Charles Kessler, and found these gems to share with you:

Worst Jobs In History

For those that think their current occupation is miserable, this website is sure to be a healthy reality check. The Worst Jobs in History is the site behind the UK television show of the same name, which explores the most painful professions that have existed in the past 2,000 years of British History.

Gratefully read about the arduous working lives of laborers during the Roman / Anglo-Saxon, Medieval, Tudor, Stuart, Georgian, and Victorian Eras. Each job on the site is described in hilarious but shocking detail, as visitors learn the horrid duties of Violin-string Makers, Fullers, Leech Collectors, Roman gold miners and other positions held by those that conventional history has forgotten.

The History of Chocolate

Chocolate, perhaps the most universally loved food of our time, was first enjoyed by the Mayans and Aztecs over 2,000 years ago. This delicious site focuses on the history of Cacao, and its evolution over the course of two millennia of human culture.

The History of Chocolate traces this beloved food from its humble roots as a Mesoamerican luxury, to its revered status as a European Sweet, all the way into its present role as a ubiquitous modern-day confection. In addition to reading about its past, visitors to this tasty website will learn about its unique medicinal properties, its religious roles in certain cultures, as well as get tips on making their own chocolate. Yum!

The only complete copy... you'll have to go around erasing answers.

5001. Congratulations. You've just completed the 5,000 question survey. What are you gonna do now? Finish this and then swear never to do something like this again, hahaha.

5003. Are you completely aware of the world around you? No.

5004. When do you feel your life energy the strongest? Um... I don't know if I believe in "life energy," but I'll say when I am surrounded by good friends and love.

5005. What is your most creative time of day? Past midnight. Why do you think I'm doing this survey now?

5006. What part of the day do you feel the most connected with the universe? Early evening.

5007. What makes you aware of your connection to the universe? I have NO idea. It's probably just there, and doesn't need to be explained.

5008. Have you ever gone swimming in the ocean and thought about the relationship between sea water and your blood? .... no.

5009. Have you ever stared into the ocean, thinking: "Early people crawled outta that"? No.

5010. Do you ever look at the sky and feel your heart beating and feel the blood inside your veins? No.

5011. Do you ever think of where your atoms were before they were in you? No.

5012. Have you thought about your own death? Yes.

5013. Are you comfortable with the idea of your own death? No.

5014. Some monks used to picture themselves being torn apart by lions each day to make themselves comfortable with the thought of death. Do you think you might give this a try? No.

5015. Is the entire universe an extension of you? No.

5016. Or are you an extension of it? Yeah, probably.

5017. Do you feel like you encompass a whole? No.

Or like you are part of a whole? Yes.

5018. Are you complete by yourself, and if not, what would complete you? No.

a lover? Sure.

family? Sure.

friends? Definitely.

a country? No.

all of humanity? No.

All living things? No.

All the world? No.

all the universe? No.

5019. If you didn't know that people couldn't fly, do you think that you could? No.

5020. The moon reflects light. But we invented electricity. Why isn't the moon obsolete? Because it was there before electricity as a source of natural light, and that's not obsolete... is it?

5021. Is greatness something worth suffering for? Sure.

5022. Is it possible that all adjectives apply to you in some way or other, even if they contradict one another? No.

5023. "However you are, you should have always been that way" - 311 lyric. What do you think of this? Interesting philosophical question... I have no idea.

5024. Should we look down on people if they change in order to stay true to what they are inside? No.

5025. Are you content? No.

Are you complete? No.

5026. "I say let me never be complete. I say may I never be content. I say evolve, and let the chips fall where they may." - Tyler Durden. Why does Tyler think he doesn't want to be complete or content? Because he's striving to improve himself every day. (or something)

5027. Is it limiting to be complete and / or content? Yes.

5028. How else do you limit yourself? Thinking that I can't do something when in fact, I probably could.

5029. Is there a city that reminds you of the landscape of your brain? Haha, no.

5030. Do you know secret things? No.

Maybe you do, and you don't know you know them. Yeah right!

5031. Would you benefit from a wilder existence? No.

5032. Does it seem to you like the range of socially acceptable behavior is getting smaller and smaller? Yes and no.

5033. Are people becoming more afraid of each other? Yes.

Is this causing a general tightening up of laws and a willingness to give up freedom in order to be safe? Perhaps.

5034. If you had to choose the percentage of freedom vs. safety, what ratio would you decide on (example: 100% free, 0% safe)? 20% freedom, 80% safety.

5035. Does safety stifle you? Depends.

5036. We're all animals. We aren't meant to be so comfortable and safe. We were meant to hunt in the wild, and to kill and to sink our teeth in warm beating flesh. Does this disturb you? No, haha.

If it does, is that a sign that you are afraid of the animal part of you? Possibly.

Even though you have grown up in a civilized environment, you still have instincts and urges that are pure animal. Everyone does. Why are we expected to be ashamed of it? Because it's not socially acceptable or something like that.

5037. Are human beings becoming more domesticated? No.

5038. Have you ever noticed that the most taboo behaviors have to do with reminding the people around you that you are in touch with your animal side (taboos like sex, anger, violence, shouting, bodily functions all make people uncomfortable)? .... no.

Why are people so afraid of the fact that we are animals, with animal needs and animal instincts? Because we don't want to regress.

5039. Why do people feel the need to control and dominate everything natural, including the most natural parts of our own selves? Because we thrive on control.

5040. Is there any real difference between the human animal and any other mammal? Our communication is evolved beyond mammalian constructs.

Human animals are self aware, so does that give us a certain responsibility? Yes.

5041. How do you feel about The Island of Dr. Moreau? Haven't seen it.

5042. What else do you feel stifled and choked by? No idea. I'm sure there are a few things, though!

5043. How could you attain freedom from these things? No idea. Running away isn't always the best solution if they come back to haunt you. ;)

5044. If nuclear bombs went off and blew us back to the Stone Age, all systems of government and etiquette would break down. People would fall back on their animal survival instincts. Would you be able to adjust to this kind of lawlessness? Probably not.

5045. Are you afraid to be alone with yourself? No. I rather like it this way.

Do you try to avoid thinking? No.

5046. What are three things that you try not to think about? Death, ex-friends, and whether I'll be alone.

5047. Free write a few sentences about each of those three things now. The prospect of death doesn't terrify me, as I know it's part of life. (hah!) Maybe it's just the process of dying that freaks me out. I don't want to think about ex-friends because I don't care about them anymore. Why should I waste my time on (for example) Stephen / Erik / Palmer / Yazmine when they decided that I wasn't worth keeping as a friend for one reason or another? I also don't want to think about my romantic prospects because I think I probably will end up alone. The wedding / baby boom definitely didn't help in that regard! Blah. Sometimes I wish I didn't care so much!

5048. What is expected of you that you feel is unnatural or not right? No idea.

5049. Do you place expectations on others, thus limiting them? I try not to.

5050. Could humans possibly mix responsibility / compassion / awareness with their animal side and be in balance? Not really.

Why don't they seem to be willing to? No idea.

you are s-m-r-t!
Congratulations! You scored 92!

Scoring well on this test doesn't necessarily mean you're ready for med school, but it does mean that you can function as an ordinary human being! Congrats on that and, if you're up to the challenge, go take my Intermediate Knowledge test!

You scored 46% History-Geo, 46% Science, 60% Literature, and 40% Politics!

My basic knowledge test only covered the basics, things you just SHOULD know. This one, however, was meant to be less about testing to see how "smart" you are, and more about challenging you. No matter how much you
may already know about the world, you'll never know everything, so it is impossible for me to really test your intelligence based on your knowledge of the facts presented in this test. Perhaps you know the entire history of hot dogs, but never really cared much for Ancient Rome. So, instead of grading you, here are your scores for each
individual category.

Rock Absorbed
You scored 24 classicness, 24 rageful, 23 hyperness, and 28 sadness!

You absorb everything around you. You are a sponge, and the water is life and the people around you. However everyone else is feeling at the moment is how you conform. You want to fit in, you want to make lots of friends, and you'll hide how you're really feeling inside sometimes to make a new friend. You're outgoing and just want to experience life. You don't really have a rock personality... you could have a different rock personality every day if you wanted. One moment, you could be enraged and hardcore... the next moment, you could be an emotional emo kid... and the next moment, you could find yourself enjoying nature like a hippy. Well, at least you're open-minded... though maybe sometimes a bit too much.

No wonder I don't know what to have for dinner... there's too much choice!

Not all of this is from grocery shopping, but this is what happens when you go food-shopping two weeks in a row:

Soups:

Chicken & Wild Rice
Hearty Beef, Potato, and Tortellini
Cream of Vegetable
Beef Noodle Soup with Meatballs
Tomato Basil
Tomato
Chicken Sausage and Gumbo

Ramen:

Spicy beef
Vegetable
Spicy chicken
Beef x2
Chicken
Kimchi

Microwaveable Meals:

Stouffer's Lean Cuisine mango curry chicken
Stouffer's herb grilled salmon
Stouffer's Salisbury steak
Stouffer's Chicken Alfredo
Stouffer's beef pot pie
Stouffer's Large Portion Roast Turkey
three Michelina's Appetito bowls (Salmon Stuffed Ravioli, Cheese Filled Ziti, Italian Sausage and Penne)
Bassili's Best chicken lasagna x2
Safeway Macaroni and Cheese

Other Stuff:

Pasta
Bread / Blue Bonnet margarine / meat (for sandwiches)
Frozen veggies
Fruit / Veggies
three different kinds of milk (strawberry, banana, and regular 1%)
seven different kinds of juice (Apple, Hannepoot White Grape, Lychee, Guava, Pear, Youngberry, Mango)
rice pudding
25 Fruit-to-Go snacks
tapioca pudding
three different types of Astro yogurt (strawberry, raspberry, peach)
cookies
trail mix
lollipops
three cans of Kitsilano Maple Cream Ale
cereal
water
mini carrots
peanut-flavored wafers
mashed potatoes
gummi bears
salsa / mesquite Kettle chips
wasabi / soy sauce almonds
gum / mints
cheese scones
baby potatoes
smiley fries
Moose Tracks ice cream (preferably for dessert!)

No wonder I can't decide what to have for dinner! Too much choice, as Julie said to me in 2000 about vending machines at Summer Conference! (Brian wanted me to choose for her, hahaha!)

This is like the time I did this rushed dinner post, only now I don't have to leave in seven minutes for Fellowship. :P (I don't think I *did* eat anything then, but I went to Red Robin's afterwards with Eric M. / Jason Kay / Nathan anyhow... so it was all good. :D)

Edit: Corey says I should have macaroni & cheese with gummi bears and wasabi almonds, and a beef pot pie with a hole poked in it, used to fill the pot pie with "gum / mints," and uncooked pasta. I know I asked for his help, but that just sounds gross. :P

Although he does say that I ought to have MARCONI and cheese: "just say it wrong when you make it!" Uh, sure... and *I* definitely have weirdness taken care of?! o_O

Randal, cocoa, odor control, and various quizzes

I had this entry all typed out, and then my computer restarted on me because of security updates. Then I had to restart it again some time later because Firefox refused to recognize my default profile. Yay... good thing I saved it in Notepad that time. :P

Randal sent a bunch of us an email last night stating his desire to become a member of the church. I think it's a good decision: he'd fit in well, and do his best here. :D

Currently enjoying some caramel cocoa, courtesy of Vivian and Karen. Time to see what's in my email now... my sister wants to order this as a seat cushion for the dinner table. I don't know about that!

I'm sure I've taken at least a couple of these before, but that was a LONG time ago!

Why, hello there...

Experimental Power

Let others prance and posture on stage; but your expression is a bit more complex. You think it out, and even though the rest may call you a pretentious and arrogant asshole for taking what you do so seriously, you have gained their begrudging respect. Your art is not an expression of teenaged angst or sexual frustration, but a comment. You shirk away from shock value for the sake of shock value, carefully planning out the experience you engineer for the audience. Noise is more than just an outlet. It is a way of life.

David Bowie!
Our test has determined that you possess
40% Hellbentness, 15% Sanguinity, and 37% Creeps!
Well done!
The experts here at the Proto-Goth Icon Study Department at Miskatonic University have determined that your Icon Match (TM) is David Bowie!

Commonly known as the "chameleon of pop," David Bowie is constantly predicting trends and adjusting his style and persona, while holding on to his own ideas and creativity. He has had a profound influence on rock music from the 1970s to the present. His "glam rock" phase, from 1969 to 1973, was was responsible for much of the look which flavored both early Goth and New Romantic.

His androgynous appearance, love of melodrama and his use of dark themes all contributed to his having a strong influence on many early goth bands. Both Rozz Williams of Christian Death and Peter Murphy of Bauhaus cited David Bowie as being very influential to their own musical pursuits.

Slightly Amberite!
32% of an Amberite!
Slightly Amberite! You are mostly normal, but can get slightly paranoid, ambitious or over-adventurous at times - which usually happens only in your head. Overall you are harmonious and peaceful and want to stay so. Therefore you try to stay out of the family struggles. You have no ambitions of your own, or no guts to pursue them, and there's nothing wrong with that: your choice, hun, although your family might consider you strange or not too brainy... But you don't care, do you? Llewella, Flora and Deirdre share this category with you. If you haven't read Amber Chronicles by Roger Zelazny - well... you might not like them. And then again, you might... who knows.
