Blocking Aslan on AIM for being annoying

the picnic went all right, although it was cloudy..
didn't really start to rain till after we finished..
blocked a certain someone on AIM.. no questions, please!
particularly not when the incident is in the past..
good thing Corey just came on.. teaching me the bot ways..
the conversation is going pretty well, hahaha!
and if someone wants me to relay messages to Jon, they can talk to him themselves.. if not, I'll deliberately screw it up!
no regrets here, if they don't learn that lesson..

Paying for small things with a $100 bill

saw someone pay for a bubble tea with a $100 bill..
do you really not have any smaller change with you?
Corey thinks she wanted to show off.. perhaps so..
I do know that a $100 wouldn't be taken at most places!
this is on a par with the story Ross once told us..
saw a dude pay for an order of fries at the school cafeteria with a $100 bill once..
not saying this shouldn't happen.. it's just kinda odd :P

since I'm here anyhow, here is the record of consumed BBT:

BUBBLE TEA TALLY (2)

peach @ Dragon Ball (Wednesday, May 26)
Oreo coffee @ Yuen-Yuen Café (Friday, May 28)

yup, only two this month... who would've thought it? ;)

Friday Five (from library) / toothpaste / old man bitching me out for typing too loudly

Friday Five: Memories and reincarnation

1. What is your favorite childhood memory?

Going on trips to Flintstone Park as a kid.. that was always fun. Of course, that was before family vacations were nearly all about the bickering and stuff...

2. If you could be reincarnated as anything besides human, who would you want to be?

Besides human? Um.. lessee.. probably a graceful gazelle. ;)

3. If you had to start your life all over, what are three things you would change?

Tough one.. I'm going with being more considerate of others, taking more chances at the unknown (I don't take many risks), and being more assertive with people when they're being rude to me.

4. If you had to forget everything in your life, except one thing, what would it be?

Very tough one.. I don't know! Probably I would choose not to forget the love my friends have for me. :)

5. Do you have a lucky charm?

No, although with the way things are going.. I just might need one! ;)

This morning, I was battling AIM bots galore.. one of them was Corey's, but that was okay since I like him just fine. :)

This afternoon, I had a dental appointment... Uncle Andrew (the dentist is a family friend) gave me some new Crest Whitening Expressions toothpaste flavor samples to try: Extreme Herbal Mint, Fresh Citrus Breeze, and Cinnamon Rush. Probably more "NEW and MODERN" than "boring" mint, regular, and other flavors of the past.. they sound interesting, at any rate! :D

Just had some old man bitch me out about how I type at the Oakridge library.. "pounding the keys," my ass. Hey, that's how I type just about everywhere! (unless it's on a laptop or something) Shut the Fuck up, since you don't know what you're talking about! *explodes in rage*

No, I'm not against criticism.. but don't try to tell me what to do if it's none of your business! It's not like it was making extreme amounts of noise / disrupting the quiet library atmosphere. If a librarian came by this very second and told me to tone it down, I would surely make an effort to. But if anybody else told me to do that.... watch out!

(yes, I did ask him if it was any of his business.. then told him firmly to shut up.. then HE tried rattling me by jumbling a bunch of keys together on his keyboard.. didn't work, thank goodness he's gone!)

Toronto debates and assumptions

I've been debating all day whether to go to Toronto..
turns out my parents booked the tickets already!
"we'll wait till you decide" means nothing, I suppose..
what if I didn't want to go on the trip.. ever THINK?
going no matter what, now.. costs money to back out..
it's true I was leaning toward going anyhow, but MAN..
my sister expects me to take the bus tomorrow night..
I don't think so, at 9:30 PM.. even with a bus pass..
just because it's convenient, doesn't mean I'll like it!
maybe if we're doing something later, but it's doubtful..
besides, I don't think I need to be out all damn day..
perhaps I'll call Jon tomorrow sometime and see..
chances are that he won't have answers, though.. argh..
I'd love to stay home on a Friday night again, though..
or at least do things for myself involving nobody..
yes, I think I need the solitary time to recharge..
stupid people that don't understand anything, and make those assumptions about me which aren't true!
they can all BURN in the fiery demonic pit.. mwahahahahaha!
(good thing Corey and others will be there for me.. phew!)

Hanging out with Nathan to watch movies / Name Acronym

Found a cool site yesterday, and thought I'd post it now that I know it works on this computer. :)

The Word Scrambler Thing

If ever you wanted to scramble letters to create an unrecognizable jumble, that's the site to do it on. (in my totally unbiased opinion towards sites that work on this machine.. *wink*)

the convocation went okay.. I noticed some weird names in the program, like Scholastica / Cecily Cecilia / others..
Margaret was also in the program, on a different date..
saw Derek afterwards while he was taking photos..
went to Lansdowne briefly with my siblings before dinner..
thank goodness Eric, Joshua, and Caleb were at Felico's..
discussed Clean + Clear strips, church, CreationFest, Greek food, friends, summer plans, etc.
Jon invited me to a movie night at Nathan's.. I was in!
Eric, Jon, and I went to Nathan's, but he hadn't left church after prayer meeting yet..
killed time by going to Dragon Ball for some bubble tea..
actually saw Mandy there with her brother.. quite quirky..
we were going to rent UHF and Spaceballs, but ended up hanging out at Blockbuster for an hour..
did various cell phone calls, and looked at a bunch of movie boxes.. amusing stuff, for sure..
our rentals turned out to be Dr. Strangelove and Waiting for Guffman.. we'll watch them soon!
not a bad end to the day after all.. keeps me from missing certain people TOO much ;)

Flatlining day / How I'd Murder

I really don't feel like going anywhere today at all..
it isn't like I could ever recharge my sanity enough..
if I absolutely have to, then maybe I could do it..
but I don't think my mask will stand up to everything..
oh, to be a hermit for a while.. no obligations or such!
we'll see if / when I decide to go out, blaaaaaahahahaha!
yup, it's one of those days where my motivation's going down the toilet / out the window..
dunno what Spoz would call it in his brain terminology..
certainly a flatlining day for me when nothing can penetrate my consciousness very well, if at all..
eep... that's the end of the post, kiddies.. stay tuned, eh?

that feels very good, even though emotions plague me..
I'll check out Dave's blog..
Jon told me about it yesterday.. "Daiso sells useless stuff!"
after that, I'll check out Old Version.. Corey thinks it may help with my MSN problem..
if it does: presto, another thing to be grateful for! ;)

I really want to go home and be by myself, to chill..
luckily, I'll do that tonight.. but Wednesday's different..
I've reached my limits on family time.. if I go to Toronto, I'm not sure how I'll survive it!
talked a little to him, which helped some.. still, I want too much from certain people..
Screaming Dementia helps a little, as well.. GOING HOME ;)

Add "in bed" to the end of your fortune! / Quizzes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN.. I hope you have a super one today! :) It's been good getting to know you.

had a good day so far.. got to talk to my friends..
Eric said that my T-shirt was inappropriate for church.. his reasoning: it had women wearing bikinis on it..
talked to Vernon, Sarah, Becky, Cindy, Dawn, Nathan, Jen, and the usual bunch of people..
wedding invites; Pho lunch; "Hot Butter" for fat camp..
plans for the long weekend; family dinners; driving on the roads; hot older actors..
the fortune cookie game of adding "in bed" to the end of the fortune you get..
not too bad a day.. I'm not IM'ing a certain person first the next time he may be on, though! :P
but for almost anybody else, I'd do it.. we rock the house!

You are Tevarath Del' Sundin! You are too nice to be a Drow, but that isn't saying much. You married Hinthial for love, even though you had to leave behind everything you knew, and you are fiercely loyal to and protective of her. Everyone else can go to hell. You are a very good / very expensive assassin, and you look and sound like a Drow Tim Curry. You are having a difficult time adjusting to having a loving (but far from normal) family. You like to dance around in your underwear when no one is around.

You're as cool as they come. Despite the pressures of our time, you've managed to overcome the odds and find your way into the group that exists despite the struggle to end all groups. And while segregation is the enemy we're fighting, it's protects us from all the stupid people that don't understand the battle. Truth be told, you probably look pretty damn good doing it too! Welcome to the flip flop!

You are normal. Blah. You do the normal hang-out-with-friends thing, and you wear boring clothes. You have little interest in expressing yourself. To you, there are more

important things in life... which is either a very valid and good reason, or a stupid excuse. You decide which it is...

Romeo and Juliet, Tristan and Isolde, Julius Caesar and Cleopatra...

LJ equivalent on May 21, 2009.

Harmony and Jon asked me to help out by finding images of various (literary / movie) couples, so they can put them on the wedding banquet tables as decoration. She's got the Harry Potter ones, and told me to find at least one good-quality picture. Decided to get two if possible, so they have a choice about which to use. I figured that now I could actually DO something, since I felt like helping out. People at least should use the talents of those around them. ;)

Edit on May 23, at 12:40 AM - Got this email back from Harmony, copied to Jon - "Wow! You are amazingly fast! Thanks so much for this, Leslie! This is so incredibly helpful and will save us so much time... Cheers!"
