Westwood Plateau, Susanna, police stops

Managed to import my entire journal to Dreamwidth, so that's where I'll be posting from. I CANNOT DEAL WITH THE NEW LJ UPDATE PAGE OR THE BLOGGER PAGE! I'll mirror posts, of course. At 5:30, we were off for the long journey to Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam through Port Moody! It ended up being near Billie's! We had to pick Jon up at Tom Lee first. Mom missed the sign, so we had to take a scenic detour around Yaohan before meeting Jon. Then we went to Jon and Harmony's, where Steph was holding baby Ayler while Harmony got ready. He grabbed my finger, which I still think is cute! I kinda failed at holding him, but managed to sit him up in my lap so he could see what was going on since he loves that. When it was time to go, I elected to ride in Jon and Harmony's car. The baby was fussy for all but fifteen minutes of the LONG ride to Coquitlam, but they figured that it would be okay as long as he got SOME sleep. Of course, it was pretty loud at the banquet, too. Sat with Peter's family and some other people, which was fine. Saw Aaron at the DJ booth, which was cool. They had a lot of food (CHEESECAKE!), white wine, entertaining games, and COFFEE! Got home at 11 after an eventful car ride that involved taking 25 minutes to get to Lougheed Highway from Westwood Plateau, filling up the car since the "FILL UP" light came on, and being stopped by the police since Mom was driving with her lights off after the trip to the gas station. In fact, Mom was so stressed when the police car wanted to stop her... she drove right into the sidewalk when stopping in the lane across the street from the apartment complex where I live. Shortly after I got home, Eric M. got on MSN to ask whether I was going to church tomorrow... I was half NOT going to go anyway because I'd had too much religion (I know - religious ceremony) AND because Mom hoped to see me. Then he said that he had meetings afterwards (I could deal with his being there early) if that impacted my decision, which needed to be made SOON as he was going to bed. Okay, then I'm definitely NOT going!

Emulator ERASING game?! / Teething baby winter dream

I was NOT FUCKING IMPRESSED that my ZSNES emulator decided to ERASE my DQ6 game... ugh! "Save State 0 Too Old" - damned error message! At this rate, I'll get to know the game up to Amoru Cave quite well, since this is the third time I'll have played it! Eric also got on MSN right when I was going to bed; he asked if I was going to church today... I guess so, since I'm awake AND have saved pasta. :P

I went to sleep and had a dream that Eric and I were buying chocolate wine for Phil, but we stopped off at a local school first. That school was in the middle of exercise drills, so Jamie Nivala led the entire student body up and down a bunch of stairs. We found out exactly what was going on as we were herded outside: there'd been a bomb threat called into the building, but it turned out to be nothing. My dreams aren't logical, since OUTSIDE is not a good place for that situation!

To celebrate our narrow escape, we had a bit of the chocolate wine, then hightailed it up into the mountains to pick up a bunch of people from a conference... they needed a break from their teething babies! Eric apparently knew a bunch of Chinese, and was practicing it with my parents in regard to a Veterans Displacement Centre we could see in the snow. This was the first time that my parents had seen that area in the wintertime, and the first time that I was up there with them in Eric's car! (in the dream world, I'd always been there in Eric's company, ranting at him about Mr. Creep all the way) We got to the conference centre and admired the bright yellow walls as a backdrop for colorful sports jerseys (which Phil also wanted), where baby Ayler was apparently teething at three or four months old! Amos was crying because he wanted to get away from David. Emily, Mike, Vernon, David M., and others were trying to entertain babies or calm them down; the older ones just wanted Vernon's chips and popcorn, while playing with the brightly-colored toys! We were playing "catch and release" with the toddlers in the first lane of a deserted highway when my alarm went off. o_O No idea what triggered that one - talking about the winter with Chinese Eric, maybe...

Psycho hosebeast / Chinese Eric planning! / RED ROBINS

I decided to call Chinese Eric at about 6:50, and he'd just got in; we had a great 45-minute conversation, though! As I thought, he HAD called me a few nights ago at 11 PM, but he just wanted to see if I'd bumped into Nathan again since that guy doesn't respond to messages. Nope, I hadn't seen him! White Eric's pizza crawl idea might have been good last week if I weren't feeling terribly! After telling him about the resident who THREW FOOD AT and SPIT AT different care aides today, I updated him on James... so HE says that his ex-girlfriend Little Miss Giggles was basically a psycho hosebeast who was possessive and jealous. She was telling him that she loved him within two weeks, was talking about moving in and having children, and was basically bad news. SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU'RE SELFISH?! Needless to say, he didn't have a very warm welcome from me last night when he told me that he was back online. ("Do I know you? Oh... it's YOU.") Eric concurred with me: BAD NEWS!

We talked about hockey, CFL football (the Lions won today), early birthday wishes for the weekend, cold and windy Hong Kong winters, Havarti, guys exposing themselves, his guy perspective ("they're not running towards you - flasher with trenchcoat!"), lockout talks, TLC reality shows, JERSEY SHORE not being like the SOPRANOS (Mafia!), MSN possibly dying like ICQ did, poker, the blackout on local football games, and birthday dinner details. It'll be the first time he'll be at Kwong Chow without his family, hahaha. Aaron C. suggested Chuck E. Cheese or the River Rock casino, but one's too far and the other's too expensive! Eric's down for two dinners in two days, so Red Robin's is ON! Not that I have to run my own birthday celebrations by him, but if I want him at both (and if he doesn't mind), it's only considerate to take your best friend's opinion and preferences into account! So it's Red Robin's - no Chinese food twice in two days for ME if I can help it, haha. Made a FB event for it, too. Replied to Mandy's emails afterwards, too. :D

In love with Ludman?! / MY FAMILY IS ERIC!

I tried calling Chinese Eric at 9:45 while reading old emails, but his mom said he was sleeping since he was tired from working. Not a problem! Then half an hour later, he got on MSN to say that he wanted to write me to say that he was busy tomorrow because stuff came up.... NO FAT DRAGON FOR YOU! At least I appreciate that! He wanted to know how long Nate's stay was; I had heard until the 9th. When I said I probably wanted Grandma at the birthday celebration this year, he figured that it would be a close family thing. Yes, but I had to tell him that HE was PART of MY FAMILY! (reaction: "cool cool - THANKS! *thumbs up* ") Updated him on Grandma, too. He hopes the weather will cool down when the kids are back in school, and I had to tell him that I was thinking about that the other night for him! "The nights will be cooler again, just for Chinese Eric!" Hahaha! He asked about the dog, too. It was a nice chat, for sure! I know he was kind of tired, so I didn't mind if he needed sleep at midnight!

Jon emailed us to say that FAT DRAGON is probably flexible; I looked the directions up on Translink, and it involves Waterfront Station and then four possible buses to Powell Street - CONFUSION! Then he sent another one to say that we could shelve it for a later date where more people could make it, even if Nate's leaving soon. Should be good times, then!

The Hero has to choose between Flora or Bianca, but says he can marry Flora's father (Master Ludman) instead! "So what you're saying is that you're in love with me?! Er, I'm flattered, but really, you best think that over."

"Congratulations, Lord Simon... you're to be a father very soon!" YES? NO? HAHAHA! [this was taken from the hilarious LP thread... I'm not playing the game again just to get to this point once more!]

This guy Pusan was going around on a mine cart in Torokko...

Editing filtered entries / Crazy pizza crawls / 002 When

After I'd finished editing some filtered entries last night, Eric got on MSN to see whether I was going to church. I said that I'd heard he had some kind of meeting afterwards, and he told me that I'd replied to that Evite. Oh yes, I vaguely remember that now. He also thought I'd gone crazy, or was metamorphosing / disappearing. NO, DAMMIT! Eric said something about eating lunch at the meeting, and then getting together with Jon and Nathan later to do a pizza crawl with Christon. JFC, I'm not made of money! I didn't feel like going, anyway. Turned out that I couldn't sleep, so took melatonin - end result was waking up at 1:45! Whoops, hahaha.

In Oracle Valley, you can open the jail doors with the Magic Key, and this prisoner is grateful: "I've been incarcerated here for over ten years, but this is the first time that anyone has ever spoken to me. As a token of my gratitude, why don't I tell you something good? 002When you go to the casino, the second slot machine on the right in the very last row pays out the best." THE "002" THING IS A GLITCH, I TELL YOU!

Weekly tradition! / Yvonne / SOMETHING AWFUL / Stone statues!

I've missed the weekly tradition, and now that I have peace and quiet, I'll go right back to it since it's been way too long from late May to August... and I also included Chinese Eric on the FAT DRAGON email thread! Replied to Mandy's emails this morning; yes, a certain person IS an idiot! (weekly tradition people seem to think much worse - but I'd agree; DOUCHE!) Vanessa got on MSN to tell me that she and Kim were looking at Cora's breakfast at around 9 or 10 on MONDAY; sounds good. I found a great LP thread on Something Awful for DRAGON QUEST V!

After the events of the Demon Tower, the Hero and his wife Bianca are turned into stone statues!

Pureed food, Grandma, Baby Dragon, Vanessa, and Deb

Visited Grandma for a bit: she said the food wasn't very good (but it's pureed!), and said I could order stuff if I was hungry. Once again, your residence is NOT a hotel, hahaha! I had to feed her some of her salmon / veggies dinner before she decided she could do it herself, but she said she wanted to sleep first since she was very tired. I asked if she had seen the baby, and she surprisingly acknowledged meeting Baby Dragon Ayler! Then I told her that Uncle Michael would be coming soon, but she didn't seem very excited. Oh well.

Got home to take a shower and do some laundry, then Vanessa said hi on MSN / YM. She wants to go to Ironwood on Sunday with her friend Kim, who's going on the ferry from Victoria just to eat at Cora's, hahaha! Good thing I don't have to be at church, eh? I called Deb about tomorrow, and she called me back - sure, I can get there after 4 and my food shopping. Should be doable from Gilbert, anyway... 407? She says I can stay for dinner, and then Dylan can take me home!

CONTACT WITH CHINESE ERIC! / Yes or no / Nuns / Handsome / Reinhart peace

Managed to finally make contact with Chinese Eric at 12:45, but he was heading out again since the uncles and such were in town. I said that if he called me at 4 AM, I would definitely not be answering the phone, haha! Yes, I can definitely understand his being tired and such after getting home from being out all day and taking a shower. MSN or a phone call would be good - just maybe not tomorrow evening since I have these tentative plans with Dylan and Deb! Tonight, maybe! Also called Barry about forty minutes later; tomorrow at 1:30 it is!

This Santa Rosa nun is overjoyed at seeing Papas again: "Ah, God must truly be watching over you to bring you back to us!"

Papas then tells her like it is: "Blah blah... save that talk for church! This is no time to be speaking like that!" (I'd say that to my friends, also!)

Papas going the wrong way through the tunnel leading to Reinhart!!!

A fellow slave is propositioning the hero! "It must have been so rough for you... if there's anything I can do to help you forget that pain, just ask..." OH MY. o_O

This old man in the Oracle Valley pub at night wants us to try the "disgusting" food, though he says the ale is good. "What? It was good?! That's unbelievable... what have your parents been feeding you?" Prince Henry and the hero have been slaves for ten years, so it's better than slave rations!

A nun at the nameless nunnery by the sea: "Oh? What an unexpected visitor we have. But... your face? What troubles you, Sire?" YES and NO are not answers to that! (we need Maria's help to open the door of the southern tower!)

After we restore peace to the land of Reinhart, we can go to the inn at night. This Bunny Girl offers us a puff puff since we're so handsome!

This old man in the tunnel to Reinhart has been watching the river currents for ten years, and says that Reinhart is back to normal because he wished it so! Hahaha!

Vanessa, Cora's crepes, Darren Morrison, CHOSEN ONES

Replied to Mandy's email this morning, heh. Vanessa got on MSN to say that I should try the HUGE crepes at Cora's in Ironwood... haha, maybe when I actually have money! She says she's back next week (which works), but Wayne's away for a while; got it. I checked my Yahoo account since she sent me a picture, and discovered that Darren M. had emailed me a spam HCG Ultra Drops link, like Farrah unwittingly did a couple weeks ago!

Candy showed me this Tumblr picture; someone get that guy a dictionary!

Upon a DRAGON WARRIOR IV party defeat, a voice is heard out of nowhere: "Chosen Ones. It's not the time to give up. I will revive you. Open your eyes..."

Aliahan Vault Limits / Mimics / Ortega / Zoma

I FINISHED DRAGON WARRIOR III AGAIN! :D

Now Kaitlin wants me to stop tagging her in photos... aiya! Chinese Eric tried calling me, but was unsuccessful since I was fighting various monsters. Good thing he got on MSN! He thinks we can hang out on Thursday - gotta write his birthday card! - and wonders if Jon is free. I tried calling him, with no answer. Then I told that to Eric, who then asked if I caught any Olympics highlights: not really, since I was at church and lunch during the closing ceremonies! He thinks Jon would have appreciated them because of all the musicians... possibly, but NOT the Spice Girls! Hahaha!

Then Jon called me back to say he's teaching Randal, but could go to the park - to me, Douglas Park at 800 W. 22 sounds doable, but we'll see what Eric has to say about meeting him and the baby at 6:30, hahaha! But Eric did like his own bubble tea idea, hehe. As it turns out, he wants us to meet at Langara Station - close to his place - and then we can go there together from 5:50 on. That works! :D

The safe is full, and we can't deposit any more money!

I never knew that the Vault Safe in Aliahan had a 255,000G limit on gold!

"The service charge is 1 piece of gold" should NOT be a question!

At Luisa's Eatery, it should be "Flamster PARTS with Gloria"!

In the Tower near Kol, this treasure chest (with weird revolving diamond tiles) is a Mimic!

Look! It's Ortega, our father, fighting a King Hydra alone in Zoma Castle! :D [and we thought he was dead all this time... unfortunately, the monster kills him, and he doesn't recognize his own child]

Supportive! / Desert and Moon faces!

While I was distracting myself by reading comics, Chinese Eric left me messages on MSN. He's really good to me! "Hey - hope you're holding up. GOD BLESS! Keep up the support from me. *thumbs up and hugs* " Hahaha, I was going to call him tonight with news, anyway! (when I tried, I got no answer, but that's okay!) Replied to Mandy's email, and also emailed Steve L. about things.

These camel bones northeast of the Advent Desert oasis will give you tips on walking through the desert! "I'm the bones of a camel. Want to know how to walk when in the desert? Move your left foot before your right foot sinks. Move your right foot before your left foot sinks. It took me 100 years to figure that out."

Another set of camel bones (near the railroad tracks) tells you that Advent Desert is the most boring part of this game, but to watch out for land mines!

This is the only cactus in the MOTHER 1 Advent Desert with a face. If you use Telepathy on the cactus, it will sing into Ninten's mind, giving him the fifth melody of the game!

Speaking of faces, the Lunar Ruins in FINAL FANTASY IV also have a face on the Moon!

Custard jelly, fluids, spicy squid, and different words

This morning, Lillian picked me and my mom up. We went to the hospital, where Grandma was sleeping. Then they rehashed the family drama, but I guess it was good. Grandma actually had some custard today, plus laxatives and fluids. I gave Lillian my email address as I'd planned. Mom and I went to London Drugs and then to the Golden Great Wall for lunch - HOT AND SOUR SOUP PLUS SPICY SQUID AND NOODLES! Then we went to Starbucks to get coffee plus a snack for Lillian, even though she wasn't hungry. We decided to leave at about 3 since Grandma was sleeping anyway. The doctor told Mom something a bit different than what we'd heard on Friday - "inoperable" and "tumor spreading" were not words that were used that night! Lillian drove me home after I picked my stuff up from the townhouse; she'll call me tomorrow to see what the plans are since my mom might want to alternate times. I'm good either way, really. If I'm making it out to sushi night / sushi movies at Dylan's on Friday, I might just go in the morning. Got home and talked briefly to both Vanessa (MSN) and Talia (AIM) - it's good. Now I can have some alone time after paying my phone bill!

Lunar Subterrane, Ahriman 6666, grey / yellow, Colorado shooting, and more

Heard about the Colorado DARK KNIGHT RISES shooting... so sad! Called Jon to see when a good time would be to visit Ayler; Harmony was busy, so I'll check with them on Sunday if I see them. We discussed Katherine and possibly visiting Grandma tomorrow - I'll stay away from mealtimes, perhaps. Later, I updated Vanessa, who said that she'd wanted to see if I was up for going to Walmart again - probably not a good idea right now, since I spend too much money lately!

When I get treasure on the Lunar Subterrane, the grey items like the Rat's Tail are now yellow! That hasn't happened before to my knowledge... or maybe it's because I finally cleared out my inventory, and can see this!

After defeating an Ahriman floating eye, you get 6666 experience points!

Your party gives the Rat Tail to the tail collector at the Adamant Grotto near Mythril for Adamantite:

Later, they give the Pink Tail (a super-rare drop from the Flan Princess in the Lunar Subterrane) to him for the Adamant Armor:

Starbucks / CALM not COME / Paladin in Mysidia! / Fat Chocobo / Cagnazzo

Replied to another one of Mandy's emails before settling in to work on my messy FB bestiary albums, and that went a little quicker than I may have originally thought - nice! Vanessa got on MSN to advise me of Starbucks and their free drinks promotion today; I knew about that, and it was cool. Deb finally emailed me back about baby Declan, since she and Dylan had had relatives from California visiting for the last bit. "We can aim for August when things COME down," she wrote... I believe she meant "CALM" down, haha. Too bad the baby's been sick and clingy since Wednesday, though!

Someone named January H. added me from the Puckheads - interesting! I thought that Kaitlin had a VANYA RAINA alterego, but upon further investigation, I don't think it's her. This person has Reeha as a mutual friend, and I only thought it was Kaitlin because she went by "Vanya Rasputin" before on FB. Oh well, the person's now been blocked because I feel like it. :P [Eric also tried to get me out of here, but I'm not sure how well that's going to work!]

Cecil's become a Paladin atop Mount Ordeals!

Everyone in Mysidia hated Cecil as a Dark Knight, since he forcibly took their Water Crystal at the beginning of the game. After you become a Paladin, this guy in the armor shop has the funniest reaction: "I told you, you can't use the armor here until you become... a paladin... ? When did you... ? How... ?"

Gotta love the Fat Chocobo (this one in Baron's Field of Chocobos) who stores your items when you run out of room in the 48 item slots!

Cagnazzo on Baron's throne: "Your who? Oh, you must mean the old duffer who refused to surrender this kingdom."

The twins Palom and Porom became stone of their own will... :(

Tellah's ESUNA spell has no effect because of this...

Dwarves, Void stars, Lone Wolf, Chinese Eric! / "We've already stopped the engine, Cid!"

Got up at 7:15 AM due to the sunny weather; I managed to stay awake until I decided that I really was out of it at 8:40. No church for me, I guess! Went back to sleep, and had a bit of a nightmare about my FINAL FANTASY games (dwarves and the stars of the Void) being erased! At 11:25, I was more refreshed; I replied to Mandy's email, and found a surprising MSN offliner from Chinese Eric: I *knew* he had called last night! "Hey... I called... talk later." At least that made me smile; since I plan to call him later anyway, it's all good. :D

"Hey, hey... help a brother out... how 'bout you open this door?" Okay, sure! Then the excited blue-haired guy runs around the Walse jail cell in circles; he runs into the wall and passes out. You shouldn't let the pickpocket Lone Wolf (the guy next to him - also in FINAL FANTASY VI) out of jail, because he'll steal two Cottages in Tycoon Castle, a Blitz Whip in Jachol Cave, a Cottage in Surgate Castle you can only obtain when on Planet R, and a Cottage you can find in Carwen, but only when on Planet R.

But we've already stopped the engine on Karnak's fire-powered ship, Cid Previa!

"It ain't over till the fat lady sings, and the orchestra hasn't even started tuning up yet!" - Cid's grandson Mid, on getting into the Desert of the Shifting Sands west of the Library of the Ancients (solution: SANDWORM DEFEAT for a BRIDGE!)

Reese's hazelnut gelato (dream) / Walking on water!

Vanessa asked me how last night's dinner with the ASS at White Spot was, so I told her on MSN. Took a nap, and dreamed that Steph and I discovered Reese's hazelnut gelato (among other great flavors like TRIPLE MANGO) at the store! We figured that we shouldn't take a whole pint (on sale for $2.69), otherwise that would be too fattening. Wish that really existed... and maybe it does!

Psychotically?! / Caleb, Marissa, Connor, Carol, Stuart at WHITE SPOT

Talked to Vanessa on MSN about ONLINE DRAMA before I tagged 1000 screenshot pictures and left for White Spot. For some reason, I decided to price out hats at Coast Mountain Sports... $31.99 for a hat?! OH, MY LORD! It wasn't too bad busing from Vancouver City Centre to that White Spot - thank goodness I saw it out the window! Unfortunately, that asshole Stuart (he IS very British) was there, but I did what I said I'd do, and ignored him all evening. (I'm very good at that) I had the Bishop's Curry - we discussed hockey news, Zach Parise, the Detroit Red Wings, the Bruins-Canucks Cup final, the Nashville Predators, Caleb / Marissa / Connor / Carol, Facebook people, Ayler photos, towing cars, baseball / cricket / football, losing Salo and Rome, Connor meeting Pekka Rinne, Seattle, Denny's, rides to the Canada Line station, and more. I played with Connor a bit, speaking into his mouth as his dad held him upside down. Got home at 9, and promptly started some much-needed laundry. Now I hear from Carol that Stuart thinks I'm a sweet lovely person because I was respectful and courteous while participating in what conversation I could?! Crazy times!

"And Ghido the Sage is calling Krile... like, psychotically?" HAHAHAHA!

Needing friends / Surgate Castle Library (donkeys and weight)

Chinese Eric got on MSN at about 8:30 to say that his parents had committed him to a family dinner with relatives tomorrow night, so we'd have to reschedule. Hey, it doesn't matter to me as long as I know! (I understand that pain!) We wished each other a Happy Canada Day, of course! Discussed travel being in season (I know), Calgary people heading down to BC and San Jose, the son of family friends getting married next week to someone else who also works at Microsoft, marriage and hope, workplace romances being fraught with peril if they don't work out, babysitting, disbelief, pure evilness in Korey / his "impending death," James, updating LJ / "THE BLOG," mixing people up, future phone calls to reschedule, yesterday's events, feelings, and more. Always good times... and I'd interrupt cutscenes to talk to him, anyway! Of course, I thanked him for being the awesome friend he is! If he hears from me before Wednesday, then that means I seriously need him... but things should be under control since I'm feeling better than when I sent him the trip update email! (he'll keep that in mind!) Also replied to Mandy's email while I was at it.

Two books at a time will be too heavy for our intrepid hero in the Surgate Castle Library!

Reeha, mystery mushroom, sex toys, Merrow, and Neo Garula

Replied to Mandy's email, and found that Reeha K. wanted to add me to Facebook via the Puckheads - sure! Vanessa got on MSN to tell me about how a Chinese TV show's 'mystery mushroom' turned out to be a sex toy... HAHAHAHAHAHA!

FINALLY got all monsters on the Big Bridge in Galuf's world... they can be easily missed due to the stupid random encounter tiles, so the ROM change was what I needed. (Merrow, Flying Killer, Little Chariot, and Neo Garula) Now, as long as time doesn't run out in the sunken Tower of Walse while Famed Mimic Gogo blathers on! "You uncultured boors! Pirates getting seasick / ROM restarts are ANNOYING!

Had to do laundry today; bloody hell! Mom said that they could pick Eric up at about 5:10 tomorrow for the baby banquet, and then pick me up soon after - I guess that works! Now, to see if Eric is going to get on MSN tonight, haha. Had to restart FFVA yet AGAIN - this time on a different rom file altogether - because of the stupid random encounter tiles on the Big Bridge being the same as last time and NOT WORKING! If this doesn't work, I'm glad I have a complete bestiary code for my photo albums! (also got INTERESTING news from James just now, har har)
