Saying goodbye to Yvonne, vase breaking, and Havarti

Good thing I checked my trash folder this morning, since Mom has stated that Yvonne is leaving soon, and I could go to Dogwood to see Grandma and say goodbye to Yvonne. That lined up with my own plans - thank goodness I finished copying and pasting enemy names to my draft posts at 2:30 AM, and finally finished the tag lists at 3 PM! Finally finished the bagels and wafers, along with the FARMHOUSE rice. Called Steph to advise her of my plans; I'm sure I'll meet their new dog Havarti soon, even if Big G didn't like the dog licking her face in greeting! My vase from Elizabeth (which I've been using to store laundry money) broke, too! I've had that for more than ten years! Managed to buy a clear case at the drug mart across the street from Dogwood, which was less than $1.75 - very affordable!

Saw Yvonne, William, and Andrea in Big G's room with Mom - Grandma was trying on some new shoes in her wheelchair. Talked a bit to Andrea, who said they'd gone to Whistler and did some shopping, and were leaving tomorrow at 1. I'm sure she was bored, but there's nothing to be done about that. Took some photos, and tried getting Grandma to walk a few steps; that would have been fine, except she fell down! Luckily, Dad was there to grab her! Andrea gave me a piece of peach Hi-Chew candy, prompted by her mom. I told her that I'd save it for later, heh. An angry person is living there who has an infectious disease... AIYA! When we said bye to Grandma (who thought she was in a hotel or at home - a floating hotel!), Yvonne was crying afterwards. That totally makes sense! At least I got a ride home; Mom wants me to go visit Big G at least once a week, which of course I shall do! Now. it's back to DRAGON WARRIOR III!

7-11, Michelina's POUND meals, BIG BANG THEORY, wonton

Went to the 7-11 this morning and got on-sale Michelina's POUND microwaveable meals ($4.99 each, but two for $7): lasagna with meat sauce, and macaroni with beef. Found a Meat Shoppe turkey meal with cranberry and sage back at the townhouse, plus wonton / oysters. HMM! On Facebook, Connie thanked me for my birthday wishes, and Farrah got back to me about the spam email from her Gmail account; damn hackers! I finally found some shampoo, conditioner, and body wash around here. Now I don't have to go back home to shower! Watched HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER / BIG BANG THEORY, too. Called Harmony to see what was going on tomorrow (not much), and update her on Big G even though she got my email.

Later, I called Chinese Eric since I said I would: we discussed Safeway runs while it wasn't so warm outside, Jon / Harmony / Ayler, the baby being curious and aware of bright colors, rescheduling hangouts, how my day was (Leonardo da Vinci and his historical times), his day and rest (good thing), exercise routines, health, Grandma / wheelchairs / walkers / mobility, feeling older ("uncles"!), and more. That was a great fifteen minutes! I definitely tell him a bit more than I did some time ago, which is always good. Jon called to discuss the toll that Hong Kong had put on Chinese Eric, health, visiting arrangements, plans, Big G, Friday perhaps working for baby, and some more things. It's probably a good thing I don't have anything to do till tomorrow evening, since I can do my banking via machines in the late afternoon!

Dogwood Lodge / James / Slutty Grammar

Finally got Mom on the phone, who apparently wanted to see how I was doing. She said she'd sent me an email with Grandma's new address at Dogwood Lodge, so I combed through my Gmail trash folder (where I filter all her emails) looking for it, then wrote the information down. This caused me to not pay attention to the conversation, which is par for the course! James said hi this afternoon, which I wasn't quite expecting: I took the opportunity to tell him exactly how I felt. I asked him whether he was aware of exactly whom he was talking to on YM, haha. Gotta ensure certain things, since mistakes DO happen! Also, Visual Boy Advance 1.6 seems to work without too much slowness right now... GOOD, since VBA 1.8 and No$GBA had slowness out the wazoo!

FLAMSTERINA, Copa Café rescheduling, and Grandma

Since Auntie Catherine called me at 5 when I was busy thinking over stuff (and sending Sarah G. some FB messages about it), I called her back and left a voicemail message. She returned the call at 10:10, saying that she'd have to reschedule our lunch at the Copa Café because of Mattias' Sports Day at his North Shore preschool. I know she's concerned that we might not have enough time, which is fine by me. Apparently, she'd sent me an email - I never got it because it turns out that she sent it to the wrong address! (she verified the spelling of "flamsterina" with me, hahaha) Man, the church directory is mistaken - or maybe it's her sight? She also told me something which was news to me: apparently, Mom says that Grandma has moved to some long-term care home on Cambie, and shouldn't be taken out of there for about a week to get her used to the new environment. That last part sounds about right to me.

BIG BANG THEORY / Leaving ONTD

Got up at about 8 because it was too sunny outside; discovered that Itamar had left a link to a BIG BANG THEORY scene on my wall, contending that SETTLERS OF CATAN was indeed geeky. WHAT DID I TELL YOU?! (penis jokes and "excessive" laughter aside...) Dad dropped off my purse at 11:15 this morning, so of course I had to thank him for doing that. Also got Steve L.'s contact info before he deactivated his FB account, so that's a good thing! Did a bunch of FB photo organization; Itamar and Jesse both said that everyone got notified of the time changes! SHIT, I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THAT!

Decided to just "leave" ONTD by not having it on my page; if we can't have video game screencaps in a FREE-FOR-ALL post, then what CAN we have?! Those are some really crazy rules! No more "weekly tradition" for me! I'm sure Eric will be happy about that, haha. :P Besides, I haven't been feeling it lately.

Talked to David S. (omni_sinrilus) on AIM last night about a number of things: Vegas and what might happen there, personal stuff, Color Me Badd's I WANNA SEX YOU UP, Latour's PEOPLE ARE STILL HAVING SEX, making me happy, and more... always interesting! I'm glad I know him! Tomorrow, I'm going to have to buy gum and lotion for my trip, if I can even pack those items. Jesse surprisingly messaged me on Gmail chat, saying that it made him laugh that I hadn't changed my Gmail status in a while. Hey, it's still true as ever: parents SHOULD be banned from using certain "names," dammit! Chatted about life updates / VCEFC's pastoral changes / Camden / Grandma / grandparents / Sunday Dinners / Jon not emailing in the past five years / Harmony and convenience, too. LJ had downtime AGAIN, so I fired off an email to Cindy to see how she is.

Tiananmen Square massacre / ERIC HO

I was still in a bit of a bad mood when I got up at 11:30 - but at least Eric hadn't called. Two weeks in a row of church is all I can take right now, honestly. Participated in some drama, talked briefly to James on YM, read about the Tiananmen Square massacre for a bit, then thought of what I can do for Chinese Eric (CHOCOLATE!); that last one finally lifted my mood to "normal," thank goodness. Talked to Miriam (beatle9) later on, using Gmail chat - apparently, there's a Jewish dish called knish which I must try. Mashed potatoes wrapped in dough?! For some reason, James thought I was badass tonight since I was busting out references to Neil Young's OLD MAN, wrestling and metal chairs / suplexing, and Rush's side-project Victor. Fair enough, hahaha! I just thought it was funny. :D

200 FB notifications / Jason Chimera

I was wondering why I haven't been getting notifications for stuff posted in the Puckheads group (or FB stuff in general) for the last few days. Lo and behold, I have now found 200 FB notifications in my spam folder, which meant Gmail thought it was spam! Damn, that group is active! I marked them as NOT SPAM, moved them to my inbox, and deleted them from there instead. Later, I felt as if the whole world were somehow different; this is a good thing! I also heard of a Washington Capitals player named Jason Chimera. I LOVE THAT LAST NAME! :D

7 AM wakeups, dread, and staying offline

I was up at 7 AM, but that just means naptime this afternoon before Greek food and chilling! Wouldn't want to fall asleep in the middle of dinner, after all. Also, I was kinda dreading it when I opened Trillian / Gmail, but the Regards notification did come through, and I didn't have a message to respond to. Thank goodness! Note to self: stay offline on YM today as much as possible, and DEFINITELY during hockey games. That will certainly reduce the possibility of friction and such with a certain person! I did apologize even if he was probably in a bad mood already, so we'll see what happens. He doesn't seem like the type to hold grudges, heh.

Eric Ho in dream / CNY dinner / Chrystal / Almond milk

The only part I really remember of my dream last night is that Eric Ho showed up in it, trying to use transit in a group. I know that makes no sense... but I should probably call him (AFTER the hockey game?) if even my subconscious is craving some "MOST AWESOME FRIEND TIME," haha! I checked my email trash folder to see that Mom says Chinese New Year dinner will be on Wednesday the 25th at Lin's on Broadway, and wants Steph to see if her friend Ross and his wife can come. Hey, it DOESN'T conflict with a hockey game, since it's during a rare week's break! YAY, I AM SO HAPPY! Congrats, Mom! *half-sarcastic* After last year's gong show at Shiang Garden Restaurant where it took an hour to order and THREE HOURS TO FINISH, Lin's is probably the better choice!

I called Chrystal at work to set up a dinner time; good thing her week is busy, because there are all these hockey games this week! Next Thursday the 19th sounds good to me: usual time and usual place will all work out! Briefly went out to London Drugs before the hockey game to get two cartons of almond milk (for mushroom soup / Sidekicks pasta purposes), a chicken / broccoli / cheddar Bistro Crustini (for old time's sake), and a birthday card for Grandma. Big G is at that awkward age between 90 and 95 where she'll have to make do with a simple "grandmother" birthday card, even if she won't be able to understand the English that's on it! Hahaha!

Went to sleep at 5:15 and got up about four hours later; I guess that works for now. Also heard that Kim Jong Il is dead! Discovered that Jason Oboril wanted to add me to Facebook - the name sounds vaguely familiar from Palmer / McNair, but that's as far as it goes. NO ADDING FOR YOU! I did somewhat of a virtual purge (and some judicious editing), and found that Reebee wasn't on Facebook anymore - WTF?! Thank goodness you can view photos and notes of someone on their profile page!

Bobby, cappuccino, Chantelle, brandy beans, and US timezones

Talked to Bob Singh via FB messages for a bit last night since he was wired on Tim Horton's cappuccino... I could have told him that it was a bad idea to have one at 11 PM, haha! Got closure on the "wanna hump" FB chat message that he sent once - "OMG... are you serious?! That sounds like drunk me! Sorry if I offended you - hope you weren't weirded out!" I'm totally serious, man! Chantelle also said that she did indeed want brandy beans this Christmas (I remembered without the Gmail event reminder!), so I will be looking for those after the Halloween marketing is over! She wants to send me some totally awesome stuff too; YAY! Of course I sent her a message with addresses and plans! Heard that Ryan Kesler will be returning tomorrow vs. the Rangers - a funny comment I read was "so... will he be playing naked?! :P" HAHAHAHA!

Level 99 Garland defeat / 4-3 Canucks WIN!!!!

Briefly talked to Vanessa on MSN while the hockey game was going on yesterday evening. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (from Burnaby) got a hat trick in his third NHL game (once with 29 seconds left in the first period), but too bad he's an Edmonton rookie! Sami Salo scored on the power play, Henrik Sedin scored on a two-man advantage, and Alex Burrows scored with 16 seconds left in the second period! When Salo scored AGAIN in the third, I had to yell and scream a lot, of COURSE! That proved to be the winner in a 4-3 game!!!! Good thing Teunis isn't around anymore, although he has to be subjected to it via FB feed, muhahahaha!

Talked to Corey later via Skype messages, who said that the French "Baptiste Girod" dude is the guy who made Gmail Notifier Plus... PHEW! He also said stuff about challenge - yeah, I get it, but it's nuts anyway! Started FINAL FANTASY II, as well. Got a message from Eric, who said he'd be here at 8:55 AM - "woohoo," eh? ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE.


I also defeated Garland again in FINAL FANTASY 1 at Level 99! IT WAS A GOOD TIME LAST NIGHT, OR YESTERDAY REALLY!

For some reason, I was bleeding today when I took the toaster oven out - WTF? At least I checked my mail, and Janina had mailed a lovely birthday card! Calla sent me a Gmail chat message asking if Stanford were teasing me with riddles; er, no? Apparently, the message was meant for someone else; good deal, haha. Then Paul kept trying to call me, but my Caller ID defenses were UP! Later, Deb tried to call me as I was in the middle of a boss battle with Barubary from BREATH OF FIRE II, so I said I'd call her at 8 while clarifying last night. Hmph! At least that gave me time to FINALLY finish the game! :D

Deb and Dylan dropped by at 8:20 to pick up the jerk's stuff, and tried to change my mind about the potluck at their place tomorrow. I wasn't impressed with Randal's "incentive" of dancing naked, although Alan's reply of how he liked nudity and would like that show DOES sound like what he'd say! After they left, I settled into my usual routine of ignoring all phone calls. :D

Imagine my annoyed surprise when I got two phone calls, a buzzer request, and a Gmail chat from Jon and Paul, all centering around Paul wanting to be let in / spare keys. Apparently, Deb took Paul home (while stopping by Superstore on the way), and he can be at Deb's on Tuesday. Thank goodness! I was NOT in the mood to talk to him when he DID get in, of course! Man, I hate my solitude being interrupted! It was okay with Teunis since he gets it, but I'm not sure Paul does! Of course I know that I might change my opinion of Jeremy if I had to live with HIM every day, but there's a reason he can know about certain things - I TRUST HIM! Had to talk to Paul about his plans for tomorrow - going to the boonies of Surrey, apparently! This is much better than a shelter for the morning person that he is, heh.

CONFERENCE FINAL! / Arabic ads / Lego dream / Getting my point across

THE CANUCKS ARE THROUGH TO THE CONFERENCE FINAL FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1994! NOW I CAN BREATHE AGAIN! (with a 2-1 WIN!) Teunis got home right after the game and asked me how many rounds were left, haha. At least there's no Game 7! Discussed pop, Gmail ads in Arabic / Farsi (not that I can tell the difference!), Christmas music, bad names (ONTARIO?! AWESOME?!), stealing his turn of phrase with "I'm going to be a little bit naughty," pagan music, and other stuff before I went to bed.

Then I dreamed that I was helping with a bunch of babies, two of whom kept putting blue / yellow / red / white Lego in their mouths. Of course, we had to throw the Lego away afterwards (infinite supply) while trying to keep it away from the kids! Then we tried interesting them in colorful foam puzzle pieces, which kinda didn't work. I think I've been helping a LOT with the Toddler Sunday School, basically!

I got up partly because of the sounds I could hear from the next room (almost sounded like a sports broadcast) and because of hearing Hester's piercing Asian voice from outside. Found that Eric had sent me an email titled "Ballot Requirement" - but it was really that Alvin and the Chipmunks video to the nonsense he was singing last night. He seems to have forgotten that Gmail includes video previews, hahaha!

As soon as I was able (ie. when Teunis' latest podcast FINALLY finished), I called Ada to see if she could give me a ride this afternoon; she says she can, so all systems are GO! Melia also sent me a message on FB about Steph; at least I know she got it, since she IS busy with school and such! (Vanessa also buzzed me on chat with "EW," but I was absorbed in catching up) Teunis and I also discussed his being up at 6 (same as Quan!), sweeter potato pancakes with syrup (I assume as opposed to sweet potato pancakes), ensuring Kaili's welfare (of course...), a Canucks flag at the royal wedding (HAHAHA), raisins, showers, no onions, and more.

I couldn't resist taking a nap from 7:15 to 9:10; all I remember about any dreams I had was that Teunis came here without my express knowledge and consent to look up some rather sexy-appearing publications! OH MY! Got up, decided to discard the curry meat after figuring out that it was too tough for me to eat (also brushed and flossed), and found that the Canucks had won the President's Trophy for the FIRST time in franchise history! :D

Also, I had to laugh when David S. (omni_sinrilus) invited me to a game of Words With Friends, mainly because he sent the email to my Yahoo and Graffiti email addresses as well as my Gmail one! He figured I already had it, but I don't! Go figure, hahahaha! At least we had a good email exchange over it even if the game apparently can't be played on the computer, and only on the Android or iPhone! (said his phone was searching the bowels of his Gmail history, so that's why it got all my email addresses... that works!) If I ever get back into Wordscraper again, I'd totally send him an invite!
