Westwood Plateau, Susanna, police stops

Managed to import my entire journal to Dreamwidth, so that's where I'll be posting from. I CANNOT DEAL WITH THE NEW LJ UPDATE PAGE OR THE BLOGGER PAGE! I'll mirror posts, of course. At 5:30, we were off for the long journey to Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam through Port Moody! It ended up being near Billie's! We had to pick Jon up at Tom Lee first. Mom missed the sign, so we had to take a scenic detour around Yaohan before meeting Jon. Then we went to Jon and Harmony's, where Steph was holding baby Ayler while Harmony got ready. He grabbed my finger, which I still think is cute! I kinda failed at holding him, but managed to sit him up in my lap so he could see what was going on since he loves that. When it was time to go, I elected to ride in Jon and Harmony's car. The baby was fussy for all but fifteen minutes of the LONG ride to Coquitlam, but they figured that it would be okay as long as he got SOME sleep. Of course, it was pretty loud at the banquet, too. Sat with Peter's family and some other people, which was fine. Saw Aaron at the DJ booth, which was cool. They had a lot of food (CHEESECAKE!), white wine, entertaining games, and COFFEE! Got home at 11 after an eventful car ride that involved taking 25 minutes to get to Lougheed Highway from Westwood Plateau, filling up the car since the "FILL UP" light came on, and being stopped by the police since Mom was driving with her lights off after the trip to the gas station. In fact, Mom was so stressed when the police car wanted to stop her... she drove right into the sidewalk when stopping in the lane across the street from the apartment complex where I live. Shortly after I got home, Eric M. got on MSN to ask whether I was going to church tomorrow... I was half NOT going to go anyway because I'd had too much religion (I know - religious ceremony) AND because Mom hoped to see me. Then he said that he had meetings afterwards (I could deal with his being there early) if that impacted my decision, which needed to be made SOON as he was going to bed. Okay, then I'm definitely NOT going!

Wedding #3: Myles and Brittney!

Humans over the age of 35 lose about 7000 brain cells each day. (that explains my ditziness!) Dammit, I should have used a billion Strength Seeds before fighting Dogma and Zozogel in DRAGON QUEST VI - too late now unless I restart (so close to the end!) OR somehow figure out how to use ZST files! (I swear I knew this before when I was playing CHRONO TRIGGER last year...) Never mind, then. Doesn't really matter! Mom and Dad were LATE picking me up this morning, and I was surprised that Mom was driving. Apparently, Dad was sick and under the influence of Neo-Citran which he didn't want to take. HA HA! We discussed Havarti's growth, dropping Jon off at Tom Lee, clothing, Nerds, chocolate, and other things which I didn't really pay attention to. Went to see Grandma briefly, and I gave her half a mini-banana... the other half looked brown, so I threw that out. I ate another mini-banana, and in the time it took for me to throw the peel in the trash, she'd finished her apple juice! Grandma also recognized me, and had a rounder face than usual... apparently, this is a medical side effect. She said that Alan had visited her earlier, which is good. Maybe she has a lot of repetition! At least she fed herself some soup. We were off to Trinity church on 49th a bit early, but at least it was close by! Congratulated Myles in person, saw Peter and Holly, noticed Harmony with a crying Ayler (she had to bounce him all the time - maybe she missed the ceremony!), and saw Steph talking to her! Also said hi to Dorcas, who keeps forgetting our family connection to Myles, hahaha. We wondered which wedding photo category we'd fit into: probably #8, which was the groom's extended family. The ceremony was pretty traditional, right down to the vows. Brittney and her sister look REALLY alike! Saw a bunch of people whom I haven't seen since Harmony's bridal shower and wedding back in 2009, like Peter's parents! Dropped the ugfart off at Tom Lee while discussing Thanksgiving, teaching, making money, FAT DRAGON, Portland, Pho Thai Son and the supermarket next to it BURNING DOWN (Jeremy probably saw the remains this morning!), and more. At least I got to go home after Mom unsuccessfully looked for parking at the insanely busy Yaohan Centre! I didn't want to go for smoked chicken at their house, since I'm having noodles and downtime here!

Cactus Club soy Dijon salmon: Birthday Dinner #3 of 3

Some guy in a black SUV honked at me this evening while I was walking to the bus stop. It's not like I suddenly have "it," whatever that may be, so I don't know what to make of that. (no, I don't know any white guy professionals) Also, two people were polite and let me get on the bus first when I was just going to wait. Interesting...

Chrystal and I met each other at London Drugs, and we updated each other on life stuff like Facebook. She said she didn't mind taking transit, but it would take a while to get to the Keg near Ironwood AND get back! Instead, we walked to the Cactus Club since it wasn't TOO far away. Discussed soy Dijon salmon, salad, barley, mashed potatoes, Awana being hectic on Saturday, Grandma, registration / buying new handbooks / 40 T&T clubbers, Chris Lam being really dedicated, Danny also being an intern, Trinity / ACTS Seminary / Regent / UBC / SERVANTS, Emily and Mike going to Hong Kong with her parents, Havarti, Ayler, Yahoo News / Youtube, my birthday dinners, going for gelato / to Shoppers later, Stanley looking for guitar students to teach, and more. We both get sick of things (cereal / crackers...) if we have them TOO MUCH!

Went to Amato Gelato afterwards; she had strawberry gelato, while I had black forest gelato. Of course, I thanked her for dinner and ice cream! Then we went to Shoppers Drug Mart, where she thought I could go home because it was getting dark: nah, I was good for now! (but in a couple of months, I may not be...) I saw a sale on Chewy Chips Ahoy which expired TODAY: $1.79 is even cheaper than $2, so I insisted on buying her a box. I bought two for myself, as well as some wasabi edamame. (Japanese soybeans) Got home by 8:30, which is totally fine. :D

Kwong Chow: Birthday Dinner #2

My parents picked me up to go to Kwong Chow, and we were there on time. Harmony, Ayler, Chinese Eric, Steph, and Lisa were there already! (Jon arrived later, from Ultimate) We had DOU MEW, ribs, beef, spicy prawns, and much more for dinner while discussing (crying) baby Ayler, sports, Manchester United, Portland, Copa Café coupons, Myles' wedding, FAT DRAGON, MOOSE POO paper, Ultimate, drooling, mini-peppers and spices, housing, Joey's, Steph not being impressed that she and Lisa weren't invited this year (they couldn't make it last year...), trips down to see a Mariners game right before Myles' wedding, and more. The parents and I went to Dogwood to see if we could have mooncake with Grandma, but she was sleeping. We said hi, and then left. Got home at about 7:30, which was good... it gave me time to do a bunch of editing!


Mom and Dad gave me Dempster's multigrain bread, skull mouse pad, skull notebooks x3, skull pen, skull memo pad, skull "poptical illusion" pen, Kwong Chow dinner, Toasted Coconut / Cashew Cadbury chocolate bar, Borders magnetic bookmarks x4, skulls bag, Japanese seaweed, sports socks x3, sapphire angel, panties x 10, "Love bites!" notebook, Guinness Book of Superstunts and Staggering Statistics, Judy Moody "mood journal," cooked pizza, toilet paper x12, voodoo doll keychains x2, and a card for my birthday. Interesting! I'd do a running tally of birthday wishes, but I'll just wait till the big BIRTHDAY WISHES post... less time-consuming work that way. :D

Poutine, Lindt chocolate, pub glasses, and Grandma

So much for not going out till Thursday - my laundry detergent cup is ruined after doing some laundry, so I had to get another one. Thank goodness I can shop on my OWN schedule! Found some pub glasses at London Drugs which were $1.20 each, so I bought four of them... good to have spares around, just in case! Also bought a 300g on-sale Lindt dark chocolate bar (the sale expires tomorrow), and some Ruffles sour cream and bacon chips. Then I went home to put it away before going out again for A&W poutine at the Richmond Centre food court - Troy Anthony is to blame for this, since he was posting pictures of said dish in Puckheads! Since I was out anyway, I decided to go see Grandma at Dogwood - I knew my mom would make a big deal out of my not coming today. I didn't go last Tuesday (but I went the next day!), and to hear her go on about it, it's like I never visited Grandma last week. *rage* When my parents offered to let me tag along for baby-minding, I said no. Then when my mom said I should call her if I needed a ride to the long-term care home tomorrow, I said I probably wouldn't be coming out. YAY FOR "ME" time, until the weekend anyway! They gave me some white nectarines for Uncle Michael and Aunt Leslie, plus measuring tape to size out Grandma's feet / shoes before they left.

Grandma thought I was Steph AGAIN, and wanted me to eat food there; no thanks! Uncle Michael offered me two throat lozenges and a banana, which I took. We talked about transit, Aaron coming in November, their not coming to Sunday's dinner since they needed to pack, the long days involved in driving from Burnaby to Dogwood and back again, China, cruising, the Blue Jays-Mariners game, a monkey in a classic movie, and more. It was nice to actually talk to him, heh. When I decided to leave at 6 after Grandma had finished her dinner, I had JUST missed the Cambie bus! On the way home, two stupid bicyclists didn't see me and almost ran me over! FUCK!

DRAGON QUEST progress / Steve L. / Beefy Beef

I've finally progressed further in DRAGON QUEST VI than I did before the game originally froze on Thursday! :D I just hope it doesn't do that AGAIN... I'll be sure to save my SRM files just in case.

I sent Steve L. an email to wish him a happy early birthday; even though the time difference between here and Adelaide works in my favor, I still wanted to do so. I probably shouldn't be using Myles and Brittney's wedding as an excuse, but WHO KNOWS how busy I could be on that Saturday... o_O

The parents picked me up, and gave me a shortened pair of pants, plus some HELLO KITTY candy (which will be for the children), ready-to-eat pizza, and cooked chicken. Thank goodness I could put everything in the fridge and closet! We met up with Uncle Michael and Aunt Leslie at Dogwood; Grandma looked worse today, and Aunt thought someone had hung her! She did have a mark on her neck, but you never know! Of COURSE my mom had to make a big deal out of my sitting in the middle because of "being polite to guests"; no wonder I'm aggravated, since I'm sure she does it to annoy me! I do recognize my need for downtime, so I'm not leaving the apartment till at least Thursday! Grandma thought I was Steph, but it was okay. I picked up three more pairs of pants there.

We went to Beefy Beef for lunch; I had spicy noodles and shaved ice with lychee / coconut jelly / pudding. Also got to talk to baby Ayler, who was pretty active, and fussy if he didn't get to look out at the bright sunshine from the window. We went to Trafiq coffee shop while Jon and Harmony met up with Jeremy at Matchsticks coffee shop. I had a chocolate eclair, but no coffee. Jon wanted a ride to Richmond, so we had to stick around town for more than an hour after dropping Uncle and Aunt off at Dogwood. We went to Oakridge library, which was okay. I managed to see Jeremy at the coffee shop; he had received my email, and I'm pretty sure THIS restaurant (Joey's) is still open! He'd gone to Chinatown and the surrounding area, and noticed a bunch of places which weren't open anymore: "What? These things changed, and I didn't notice till now?!" The car ride home was filled with animal naming and such. Jon and I offered to pull Mom's whiskers out for her, but she wouldn't hear of it. I got home at 4:40, which was plenty good enough for me! (well, I wanted to be home an hour before, but it didn't happen)

No "me" time! / Randal, Cindy, Chrystal, and Dogwood

Mom called to say that we'd be having lunch with Uncle Michael and Aunt Leslie tomorrow since Jon wants to see them. Dammit, I had been looking forward to some "me" time! Oh well, maybe Tuesday... no, I can't just let it go! She said that Jon and Harmony have a baby exercise class, so I told her that it was important! Apparently, we're meeting them at Dogwood and driving them around again because they might get lost / not like driving, so I can already tell I'll get shoved into the middle seat. *sigh*

Randal emailed me to say he'd come on Saturday ("I'm free then, but I'll charge a fee for my servies thereafter"), and Cindy said that she was actually babysitting. I called Chrystal to see whether she was free that night, and she said that she could come after Awana, so that sounds good too.

Barb-Joyce, Havarti, baby concern, doughnuts, and screaming

Barb-Joyce added me to Facebook from the Puckheads - nice! The lards picked me up slightly late, and we were off to see Grandma briefly. For some reason, Mon's under the impression that I like candles, so she gave me two. She says she'll finish shortening a couple of my pants, so can give that to me if I go to church on Sunday. We'll see what the status of my own plans are first, haha. Saw Auntie Eva there, too. Got to Steph and Lisa's; when I met the French bulldog Havarti, she licked me a lot. Steph said that this was a good sign. Jon, Harmony, Ayler, and Nathan got there pretty much on time. When the baby cried (he was doing some pretty good screams at one point), the dog went over to investigate this new sound. Steph joked that their neighbors would react like this: "They just got a puppy, and now they have a baby?! What the?!"

We talked about Varley, the baby traveling to Victoria okay, the baby and dog sleeping / being spoiled by Mom, sex / dog breeding, joking dog recipes, being "hak-hai," TITUS ANDRONICUS, bombing, OTHELLO AND DESDEMONA, giving the baby alcohol to sleep, incest, RICHARD III, coffee, Skype / webcams, the hockey lockout possibility, couples, beers, H. Ross, Eric Ho being really Asian (Nate says I'm in better touch with him than he is!), Jeremy's band, interesting doughnut flavors from Lucky's (mango; peanut butter and jam; apple bacon; pistachio; etc.), the dog's eventual weight of twenty pounds, FAT DRAGON, quinoa, peas, cheesecake, coconut macaroons, and more. I caught myself calling the dog "baby" tonight, since that's what I usually call Ayler! ACK! Oh well, at least I threw in a "doggy" or two for flavor. I'm so not a dog person, but maybe I'll survive as the dog is relatively small. Nate also says he likes cats more than dogs, so I'm not alone!

It was good to see Lisa again - and to say hi to the baby, of course! He was wide awake when we wanted him to sleep, but I guess he was curious because of the new surroundings and the interesting lights. Harmony and Jon gave me a one-month baby card, I gave them the yellow baby booties (cute and good for winter), and Steph and Lisa gave me a wedding thank-you card along with FAZER Finland chocolate. On the way home, Mom tried talking to me about logistics and my next birthday dinner; if I want Big G there, it should probably be at the townhouse. Hey, then the dog can come too! I don't know of many restaurants that allow dogs, haha.

Now I'm getting slightly annoyed at all the emails about SETTLERS OF CATAN - Randal even saw fit to email me, Connie, Vicky, and Vivian separately since it seems like it'll be a guys' night out with him, Eric, Raymond, Kevin, Christon, and Albert. I don't really CARE for board games, and I really don't think much prayer or reflection will be done during such a night OR at dinner! The religious aspect aside, NOBODY TELLS ME WHAT TO DO! I like doing my own thing / having solitude (Chinese Eric understands that!) - and if I wasn't at least halfway sure that Randal was coming at this from a somewhat caring perspective, I'd really rip into him!


Edit: And... nobody can make it, after all! HA, THIS IS WHAT YOU GET, RANDAL! :P

Grandma appetite, pork cheek, Nathan, happy Ayler, and chips

Mom complained that I was late, but they never called before leaving... then again, I had to post placeholders and such! Ran out of time to do everything that I wanted to, as well. However, I wouldn't have traded the lunch with baby Ayler and Grandma for that! Mom was nicer on the phone with Steph, OF COURSE. I tried helping with Grandma at Dogwood, but ended up pushing the surprisingly heavy wheelchair out the door; Steph said that I'd left the brakes on! Whoops! Went to the Grand Honour Restaurant for lunch - Jon, Harmony, Ayler, and Nathan were late as well, so it was FINE! Had pork cheek, noodles, HA-GOW, SIU MAI, duck, green beans, spicy sauce, soup, and more for lunch; Grandma had a very good appetite and just went for the beans like they were all hers! Steph found out that Neil Armstrong died, and it was great to see Nathan while he was in town! Talked about the happy baby Ayler (who seemed interested in Nathan, and grabbed my finger), Brian and Amy's wedding, yucca root tea, Uncle Eric, FLAMINGO restaurant, Havarti (the baby is older than the dog by two days), Thursday's dinner, Uncle Michael and Aunt Leslie coming in two weeks on September 6, "nasty" emails, and more.

By the time I got home at 3 (after Island Farms ice cream from Langara), Mom had given me Doritos chips (Sweet Chili Heat / Nacho Cheese); Cheetos; jalapeno cheese slices; peanuts; candy; funeral home mints; blackberry jam; Safeway chocolate chip cookies. I was going to go out and get the cards for Julie C. and Jeremy Y., but figured I should finish up stuff first. Checked my email, where Randal had given me advice to BE A BITCH when asking for drugs to make the pain go away for Big G. Also checked my phone to discover that Eric had called; seems he has to be at church at 9 (?!) because he signed up to help Stanford for Phil's farewell lunch tomorrow. Aiya! Guess I'll have to live with it! Finally managed to get out the door so I could buy on-sale index cards, much-needed milk, and blank cards for Julie C. / Jeremy Y.'s baptism tomorrow. Since I'll be at church anyway, I might as well...

Ice Wine Chocolates! / You should have babies after getting married...

Visited Grandma briefly (she was watching old English movies), and went to the People's Drug Mart across the street from Dogwood to get a new pencil case (since my old one got really wet) and those ice wine chocolates that I'd seen last week: one for me, one for Chinese Eric, and one for Harmony. I'm sure Harmony will like them, haha! FAVORITE HOS, indeed! Unfortunately, the Canucks pencil case I got was too small for my stuff, so I went to London Drugs instead. (the Oakridge Zellers didn't have what I was looking for) Good thing that their purses and such were on sale, as I managed to get one which wasn't ridiculously huge for a "wallet"! When I got home, I put the chocolates in the fridge - thank goodness I didn't have to worry about them melting like I would have last week in the heat! Eve May added me to Facebook, too - WHEE! Then again, Daniel Lawlor unfriended me... oh well?


Grandma, on life stages after I reminded her that my brother has an infant son (she seems not to remember meeting him EVER): "Of course your brother has a baby! He got married, so he should have one by now!" HAHAHAHA!

Italian Tomato, outdoor mats, Douglas Park, and GOOD FOOD

I was going to visit Grandma briefly before going to meet Eric at Langara Station, but Jon said to bring a mat to sit on. Since I didn't have one, I went to the dollar store / Sears / London Drugs to see if they had anything like that. London Drugs DID, but it was more like a balcony mat - whatever, I wasn't picky at that point since I was running out of time! We went to Douglas Park to meet Jon, Harmony, and Ayler. This was after we went to Dragon Ball to pick up bubble tea. Jon paid Eric back for his order of something fruity (mango) - half sugar - coconut jelly for Harmony, and something adventurous (red bean and longan) - half sugar - pearls for himself. I didn't have cash, so Eric paid... he also got taro, and I got a pudding. Mr. Dragon Ball was still there!

Jon, Harmony, Eric, and I talked about baby Ayler, parenthood, the bright yellow color of Eric's shirt, my Canucks shirt, Grandma and her eye not being quite open, Steph, Lisa, the puppy, life updates, construction, Nathan, Desmond, and more. When Eric held the baby, Ayler started crying! Edwin and Jane showed up with baby Rebecca, and both babies started fussing and crying when they looked at each other! Talked about Brian and Amy's wedding next week, Amy finding the ring before the proposal, Norman, Sean, children's concerts (one was in the background!), and more. Eric and I left earlier than they did because of the sun and a bit of hunger. We talked about Kingspark Seafood House, but I wanted to see if we could find that Italian Tomato place which Eliza recommended to me months ago. As it turned out, we did - but not after some creative driving and turns of phrase! No, I don't mind if he swears!

Discussed Grandma, pasta, his cousins not being babies anymore, pizza, mushrooms, chicken, spicy Italian sausage, shrimp, life, chilling, Price Smart, sports, the Blue Jays, BEYOND BELIEF, curses, paying me back if I paid by debit, his friends getting married and having kids, the lockout possibility, and more. Of course I didn't mind if he stopped by Price Smart briefly to see if he could find stuff for his grandma! He didn't, but he still opted to chill for a bit back at my place. Conversed about new books, Uganda and Gay Pride, CRACKED articles, cash, Halloween and Christmas stuff in stores already, the guestbook, and more. When he left about an hour later at 10:30, Yvonne had emailed me and Jon some contact info for her and her siblings. I finally managed to reply to Steve's email, too... it's been almost three weeks, man! Things keep on happening around here!

Jon let me know that he and Harmony would be at Douglas Park around 5:30 with baby Ayler, which still works if Eric and I are meeting at Langara Station about fifteen minutes later! He wanted to see if we were still picking up Dragon Ball bubble tea, and he'd pay us back for something fruity - half sugar - coconut jelly for Harmony, and something adventurous - half sugar - pearls for himself. INTERESTING!

If you sleep at the Inn at Beran (the first time), the Prince will lay down and not get up. Use a Leaf of the World Tree on him to restore his failing body, and he'll rejoin the party. The King's messenger at the inn has something to say to you: "Oh, is that you, KendROLANDick? I've been holding a message from the King."




"What has befallen Prince Linda? Perhaps I should inform the King..." The Prince's name is Rolando, and the Princess is named Linda! HAHAHA!

Erin sent me a FB message about my birthday wishes and Grandma, which is nice! Harmony also sent us a bunch of Ayler photos and videos, including poop and other stuff. He wants to have a conversation with Mommy already, hahaha! The Beatles song "WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS" came on the radio just as I was uploading a picture of a Gently Weeping Guitar (MOTHER 3 enemy) to Photobucket and Facebook! SWEET SYNCHRONICITY / COINCIDENCE! :D

BAD NEWS ON THE HORIZON

Went to the hospital, and saw Auntie Kwai there with Cousin Lillian, whom I hadn't seen in YEARS! She quickly told me stuff about Grandma, and then said that she'll be here for a week. Her sister Yvonne landed here tonight with her husband William and daughter Andrea (they're staying with his family in Port Coquitlam), so I might be seeing them. Jon came by later, just in time for a CT scan on Grandma. We caught up with Lillian, who says her brother Aaron is working in Korea from Hong Kong; wow! Later, we received some bad news from the doctor - MALIGNANT BRAIN TUMOR?! That might explain why Grandma's been going downhill so quickly in the last month. Jon says that a lot of people at church know where Grandma is now, and we stayed with her for a few hours more. We answered everyone's questions as best we could, translated where needed (but Grandma was still confused!), and figured that our parents not talking was less important than this. Maybe if Uncle Michael and Mom are face to face, things will be better?

Jon says that he would email Steph and Lisa when he got home (it's easier for them to change their flight!), knows that Harmony understands his not being home to help take care of the baby, and was wondering whether he should let Mom and Dad know NOW or in a few days when they get back. We figured that we shouldn't ruin the cruise, and that any biopsy surgery might be traumatic for Big G. If the life expectancy is about three months at the most, then we need to stop being in denial pretty soon. Later, we told Grandma we'd be going - Lillian gave us rides home, but she and I stopped by the Korean BBQ place across from #9 to have some Korean noodles / rice / soup to eat first. She was at the hospital all day, and she'll pick me up tomorrow too. I got home to email Eric Ho FIRST / the BS group second, and the chair broke on me as I was sitting in it! Then I got a message from Teresa L. about whether I still talk to David S. - nope!

Watched M*A*S*H on the History Channel for some reason today. Harmony sent me a message about Grandma, eating, and the hospital emergency ward - I had to do something about that, for sure! I got emails from Randal and Vicky about it after I informed the BS group that I wouldn't be going tonight. I'd wanted to call Chinese Eric, but I can hopefully do that later. He will be among the first to know about things, and he won't mind. If I can't, I'll email him.

7-11, Michelina's POUND meals, BIG BANG THEORY, wonton

Went to the 7-11 this morning and got on-sale Michelina's POUND microwaveable meals ($4.99 each, but two for $7): lasagna with meat sauce, and macaroni with beef. Found a Meat Shoppe turkey meal with cranberry and sage back at the townhouse, plus wonton / oysters. HMM! On Facebook, Connie thanked me for my birthday wishes, and Farrah got back to me about the spam email from her Gmail account; damn hackers! I finally found some shampoo, conditioner, and body wash around here. Now I don't have to go back home to shower! Watched HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER / BIG BANG THEORY, too. Called Harmony to see what was going on tomorrow (not much), and update her on Big G even though she got my email.

Later, I called Chinese Eric since I said I would: we discussed Safeway runs while it wasn't so warm outside, Jon / Harmony / Ayler, the baby being curious and aware of bright colors, rescheduling hangouts, how my day was (Leonardo da Vinci and his historical times), his day and rest (good thing), exercise routines, health, Grandma / wheelchairs / walkers / mobility, feeling older ("uncles"!), and more. That was a great fifteen minutes! I definitely tell him a bit more than I did some time ago, which is always good. Jon called to discuss the toll that Hong Kong had put on Chinese Eric, health, visiting arrangements, plans, Big G, Friday perhaps working for baby, and some more things. It's probably a good thing I don't have anything to do till tomorrow evening, since I can do my banking via machines in the late afternoon!

Wheelchairs, Werther's, FFIV, Chinese Eric, and more!

Decided to visit Big G briefly today; she was engaged in cleaning her new wheelchair when I got there, and refused apples / oranges / even her beloved Werther's Originals candy! I got her to have one by unwrapping it first, because I wasn't going to feed it to her if I didn't have to! That visit made me sad, but at least I visited her! She also pretty much refused milk... *sigh*

Got home and FINALLY finished FINAL FANTASY IV ADVANCE again! Since I need a break from the FINAL FANTASY universe in general, I'll go play MOTHER / EARTHBOUND games instead! Chris Lam is emailing me some AWANA-related stuff yet again; whoops! Called Chinese Eric after FORREST GUMP finished on TV, and we managed to pack a lot into a ten-minute conversation: 160-Pound Scrotum Guy, TLC's weird TV shows, Jon and Harmony bringing baby Ayler to church for the first time yesterday, hanging out, relatives and family friends in town ("can I go now?!"), HOARDERS, hoodies, weekend plans, calling tomorrow night, eating dinner / doing stuff on the computer, Russia, and more. That was awesome! :D

As I'd predicted to Eric, I was up with the sounds of the traffic and such from below at about 8. SLEEP DEBT, OH YES! That didn't mean that I'd feel fully awake when it came time for the special meeting at church, though. I delayed Eric a bit by looking for a suitable jacket and stuff, but we were on our way soon after 9:35. He thought - as usual - that I was drunk, so I said NO! We talked about Kevin / Randal / Geoffrey being at the Burnaby hiking outing yesterday, coaching soccer, traffic, construction, and more. During service, I read my bulletin; tickets for Phil's farewell lunch will only be on sale for three weeks, so I got mine TODAY from Christon after confirming that Eric would be going. Later, I talked to Amanda (who has a big gash on her head from falling on metal) / Jane / Tracy, and peeked in at a sleeping baby Rebecca. Jon and Harmony had actually made it to church with baby Ayler, so people looked in at him. He was waking up from sleep, which is cute! Talked to Frances, Micah ("Is that baby Ayler? He has small hair!"), Isaac, Karen, Lincoln, Brian, Stanley, Auntie Cathy, and Auntie Ying while telling the baby that the noise was okay. He seemed to be kind of interested in my "PRICE IS RIGHT" shirt because of the bright colors, haha. Jon said that they might drop by later, as they're going to her parents' place for dinner; if not, I'll call him on Tuesday! Gave the rest of my Brookside chocolates away to Hannah W. / Natalie W. / Gladys, plus the Chiclet / Dentyne gum and Lemonheads candy. I knew I'd find willing takers!

Saw Lanie, Danny, Jessie, new kids named Silas / Janelle / Haley (the last two were too young), Anastasia, Ashley, Natalie, Ramen, Shira, Mattias, David, and Evelyn at Toddler Sunday School; the floor had changed from white tile to hardwood in the last two weeks, Lanie told me. There were also new toys that parents had donated, she added - NICE! I comforted Ramen while his mom was out of the room with a baby, and confirmed that Mattias knew who I was. Later, Eric and Jon were going for Pho, but I decided to stay and eat (egg / ham / ham and cheese) sandwiches with fruit to save money. Of course, I donated some money for the freewill offering! I spilled my fruit cup in front of Mattias and Marcus; whoops! Discovered that my handbag had sustained fruit juice, so went to Superstore to see if they had any - nope, but I did get a farewell card with a sad dog on it for Phil / Grace / Micah, plus a green apple shampoo and conditioner! To thank Mattias for doing a good job of watching my stuff, I gave him a bunch of stickers. He really liked those (after he asked what I'd bought - I showed him), and told his mom Karen about it! Phil figured that I always had gifts for the kids - sometimes, yes! We discussed his own son Micah, Steveston, Pastor John, Karmie, housesitting, quorum, and more prior to going in for the meeting. During the meeting, I talked to Jeremy about a light popular novel, and discovered that I really didn't believe in certain things like overly religious prayer. Guess I'm not really that religious, haha! Turns out that I didn't need to be there, since there were 184 people in attendance, and Pastor Dan was called to serve us with a 94% YES approval rating. Eric said that there were two voting against, and four spoiled ballots, heh. Jeremy told me and Eric that Big G should choose the name since she named him and Eric, hahaha! ("Bearded Man / White Kid") Nope, she doesn't have a name for Pastor Bob! Auntie Anita told me that Andrea's going to be a mom in December, too. On the way home, we just listened to the news since there wasn't much to say. He tells me that Bible Study is on the agenda for Friday; yay. *sarcasm* Decided to see if laundering my bag would work... it works as a temporary fix, but the bottom is loose. Jon just called to see if there was any freezer space for their stuff; not really, since Mom always packs the freezer to the gills with things! "Why is Mom always doing that?!" - NO CLUE!

Heard about the Colorado DARK KNIGHT RISES shooting... so sad! Called Jon to see when a good time would be to visit Ayler; Harmony was busy, so I'll check with them on Sunday if I see them. We discussed Katherine and possibly visiting Grandma tomorrow - I'll stay away from mealtimes, perhaps. Later, I updated Vanessa, who said that she'd wanted to see if I was up for going to Walmart again - probably not a good idea right now, since I spend too much money lately!


When I get treasure on the Lunar Subterrane, the grey items like the Rat's Tail are now yellow! That hasn't happened before to my knowledge... or maybe it's because I finally cleared out my inventory, and can see this!
