Interesting times at JOY Fellowship / Quizzes

had an interesting time last night at my sister's church..
met Gilbert (easy to talk to) and saw Emily again..
also met a bunch of other people who were nice enough..
went to Boston Pizza as the Pickle Barrel was closed..
3-ounce Fish Bowls of alcoholic beverages, anyone? ;)

I am disappointed right now because I can't see Candy..
also because my phone card eats up minutes like crazy..
wish I had a better one, or some way of seeing her here..
Eric and Corey both want to know whether I eat books.. nah!
at least I can look forward to talking to certain people ;)

Mailing out all my Toronto stuff

went out with Melissa and her mom to run errands earlier..
I mailed out my postcards and got two free books..
Candy says that they'll drive out to get me tomorrow..
just have to tell my parents about it later on.. they'd best not freak out with it all..
I'm just so excited about all this going to happen.. whee!
going to Fellowship later with everyone; it'll be cool..
the only damper on the day was Erin's sudden sad news..
definitely hope things go all right, but they won't.. sigh!

Friday Five: SUMMER!

Went to Peter's on Eglington last night for dinner.. they have these HUGE portions of food, and I was the only one who was remotely able to finish what I ordered! (although I'm sure that makes me look like a pig :P)

When we got home, Eric M. and I talked for a bit on MSN.. he showed me these funny online cartoons, and said that he was going to Nathan's later to hang out. Sounds good to me, as I like being updated on what my friends are doing! :D (I also watched Ripley's Believe It Or Not! for about an hour.. very interesting show! Hopefully, I get to see the Niagara Falls museum while I'm here!)

Erin has a prayer request involving her grandma, who may die. :(


Friday Five: SUMMER!

1. What is your favorite summer activity?

Going to the beach and hanging out with people! :D


2. What was one great thing you did this summer?

Went to two weddings, both involving longtime friends of mine. :)


3. When you were a child, what was your favorite summer activity?

Going to Camp Sasamat at Belcarra was usually a fun time! :)


4. What has been your favorite summer vacation?

There was the one we took to San Francisco in 2000 with Vivian's family.. that was awesome! :D


5. Summer goes well into September, but when do you feel like it is over?

Probably when the days really start to cool down.. maybe late September / early October. (like when the baseball season is finally done, hahaha!)

Funny cartoons from Eric M.

had a reasonably good time today at home alone..
only other person here was Nathan, and he made pasta..
got to talk to Stephen, which definitely made me happy ;)
Eric M. also buzzed me, and that was a pleasant surprise..
he showed me these funny cartoons, and apologized for being distracted by them earlier..
that's all right, as I had things to do myself on here..
we went for dinner at Peter's.. way huge portions!
now things are a little better, and I have faith / hope!
Melissa's mom will take me to Chapters tomorrow..
definitely a good thing for a bookworm like me ;)

Seeing Dave and the Trans

I saw Dave today, and had an amusing time with him..
also saw Michael, Anna, Brigitte, Ethan, and Wilson..
the kids provided a distraction, and Wilson was nice..
but certain things that also happened were terrible ;)
at least the comfort of my day-starter was a good thing?
maybe it'll be better in the future, but I doubt it!

Chinese bus tour is now OVER!

the Chinese bus tour is now over.. I thought it was okay..
now I can get to what I love doing the best ;)
went around to all these cities for 20 minutes each..
lots of hotels, and riding in the tour bus for hours..
it was definitely an experience, and one I'll remember!

Stinky tour bus washrooms are not good!

I've been busy on the typical Chinese bus tour: where you go to lots of places in a week, and start early every day..
bought postcards for five selected people, including someone who sounded very surprised when I called him from Dartmouth ;)
sure, I've been doing my share of grousing about the trip..
but I still think it's a good way to see more of Canada..
unless you count the stinky tour bus washroom.. not good!
