Red Robin's is CLOSED?! Joey's it is!

When Eric picked me up this morning, he was amazed that I was on time - ha ha ha. We talked about the news, my birthday dinner, DRAGON QUEST error messages, Hurricane Leslie (Dennis beat you to it!), and more. When we got to church, I sat near Jeremy and Christon, and we shared amusement over weird music and such in the service. Poor Stanley had to stand in for an absent Scripture reader, and Pastor Dan got excited over the strangest things! After service, I was exiting the sanctuary when that weird Native guy looked at me - I gave him my best "who the heck do you think YOU are?!" look, of course. (Eric got to hear plenty about this "social interaction" later!) Auntie Catherine wished me a happy birthday, so I thanked her; Pat overheard this, and echoed the wishes! I told Jeremy about my birthday plans, but he informed me that Red Robin's was CLOSED - WHAT THE. Lincoln later said that he'd seen the Metrotown location all torn up and under construction, so it must be true! Karen said to send her the details of whatever it ended up being; I also promised Jeremy, Christon, Kevin, and Randal some emails. Lincoln said that there was a Joey's on Broadway, which was like Red Robin's and the Cactus Club, so I said I'd look it up when I got to a computer. (I have, and it seems okay)

I saw Jon later talking to CHUCK, so I had to update the ugfart on everything related to Mom, family drama, Uncle Michael, Aunt Leslie, fighting for the bill, baby LAI-SEE, being HAK-HAI, and "Chinese conflict resolution - don't talk about it." At least they seemed okay with each other yesterday... though now Mom says there's no dinner since Aunt Leslie already made plans. Fine by me - more gaming and non-social time! Chatted to Andrea about pregnancy; they'll come back in February with the baby, heh. Saw Brian and Amy back from their wedding, and talked to Denise about my birthday plans; she's leaving for Hawaii tomorrow since she has to be in a wedding! I said hi to Deb and baby Declan, who was interested in my hat and the bling on my London Drugs shirt. Stanley was confusing Harrison and Amos by saying that he was three times their age, so I asked Harrison how old he was. Then I got him to add seven (his age) and seven, but he didn't know 14 plus seven! When I gave him the answer, he rushed upstairs to tell Amos, haha! Also talked to Gino and Quan briefly about origami paper cranes / Paper Craft / Joseph Wu, and asked Emily about Chrystal - not here today! Vivian told me about the BBQ on Friday, and wondered where I'd been - well, since Eric had to go do something, I wasn't there!

Went upstairs myself to find that Shira was the only person in Toddler Sunday School because David, Evelyn, Ashley, Anastasia, Ramen, and James have all gone to kindergarten! Natalie and Mattias arrived later, with a sleepy Marcus being outside. Talked about toy food, watermelon, light rice crackers, drawing, birds, trains, and more while I did tag prompts. Some of the older kids came in at the end: Jonathan (in Gr. 4), his sister Ashley, Ramen, Anastasia (with her dad Danny), Rachel (in Gr. 4, who hates running around Vancouver Christian School) and her grandma, Arthur, and Esther. When I got downstairs, I saw Sean (who's in Gr. 4) and his brother Ian, who's in Gr. 6 - these kids grow up fast, and I remember when they were babies! Eventually, I talked to Kevin and Christon about Saturday; Eric and I were out of there soon. (Hien and Julie said bye) Not for Pho with everyone else, but to go to the Canucks team store (by PNE / Playland) to see if he could exchange something. No dice there, but it was worth a shot. He said that he should have told me to get a ticket for Friday's dinner, so I should email Randal about it. Maybe I just won't go, is all... and he thinks I'll get Eric Ho to drive me on Saturday, haha. We'll see! Also talked about WINTER, Mantique, DUCK TALES for the NES, save states, no patience to restart a game from death, my being "drunk" or crazy, French "The Cheat is not dead!", and more.

Ryan said hi to me via FB message; good to hear from him! Chuck also sent me a FB message, thanking me for my "happy birthday" wishes. Then Siobhan sent me a FB message with her home and work addresses since I said that I'd picked up some Canucks lip balm for her; Billie LIKED that, hahaha! Later, I got to talk to Chinese Eric via MSN; I was patient and could wait three hours or so for him to respond to my initial message about Vegas. ;) Talked about the second-round playoff match-ups, my telling him about the trip later (of COURSE he will be told the INTERESTING things!), the racist Boston fans / teenage boys, a Blues-Flyers match being strange for the playoffs, the Senators being out (no Canadian team can win the Stanley Cup this year!), and our crushed feelings about the Canucks being out of the running.

I got rid of all my TV Tropes tabs (more than 70?!) because Firefox annoyingly refused to recognize them as valid ones upon restart, instead classifying them as "New Tabs." That's one way to do it before the weekly tradition tomorrow, but I'd rather not have them gone... (however, they did cause the browser / computer to freeze...)

I was actually glad to hear my alarm this morning, since I was dreaming that my family was a bunch of fake people who kissed Mom's ass all the time, and made ME do everything like cleaning up papers from Page-A-Day calendars! (oh, wait...) Andrea finally emailed me that picture of us from yesterday which I accidentally deleted because it went straight to my trash folder - WTF?! I also noted the presence of a random guy's pictures on my hard drive, and noted that my Gmail was owned by some dude named "Baptiste Girod" - WTF, indeed!

Chuck and Andrea - YAY FOR HANGING OUT!

Auntie Anita, Chuck, and Andrea picked me up a few minutes after 2, and we were off to Richmond Centre. That worked well for me because I had to cash my cheque AND get plastic wrap / aluminum foil, which turned out to be on sale at Shoppers! (which is what I was going to bus out to do - I forgot about my gum, though!) At the bank, I was informed that I had to renew my ID - it's that time again! Maybe I'll see what Barry has to say, haha. While Auntie Anita left to return Uncle Simon's shirt and do some other stuff, I went to the food court with Andrea and Chuck, who treated me to more Greek food at OPA - lamb! We caught up on stuff such as volunteering, Nina, Yazmine, Facebook, Joey in Toronto, Paul being an ass, Teunis, Elaine and Matt moving to New Hampshire to be near Matt's family (they're done in China), adventure, Jon / Harmony, Steph / Lisa, and Andrea's brother Sherman.

Also talked about Chuck's mom dying last December (but she looked really good at their wedding in June - you'd never be able to tell that she had terminal cancer!), their first year of marriage, Elaine being here next February and March, my needing to be careful, work making Andrea a zombie until recently when she changed jobs, pictures, and more. Her little cousin's Halloween costume looked really cute and funny, and the swans around Hamilton are cool enough! It was good to hang out with them, even if it was only for a little while! Good thing I got home in time for my weekly tradition, after discussing car accidents / fault and Auntie Anita being easily distracted! (we had to wait for her) Answered Mandy's email, and also laughed at Eric's email of "Are you afraid of me since you signed offline as soon as I sent you an MSN message?" HAHAHAHAHA!

I spent the ride to church venting and ranting to Eric, as per the usual. He tried telling me NOT to hold grudges against Paul, but I'm not going to forgive insults from an ex-con! Says that there's a Missions Conference on Friday, and then wondered at my ranting about inconveniences. Hey, it happens! When we got to church, I said thanks to Raymond since he handed me a bulletin, and then chose poorly when it came to sitting down except that it was with Jeremy, Mark, and their parents Doug and Laura. Good to see them from Kelowna for Thanksgiving! The reason I chose poorly was that it was behind Paul and his total tone-deaf singing (I don't know how Phil stood it!)... at least Vania and I bugged Nathan W. about his sister Natalie's Facebook status where he didn't know what "LB" meant, hahaha. One of Jon's friends (Beth) was the speaker, so I'll have to tell him about that later.

Said hi to Auntie Ying and Uncle Peter, Adam L. (gaming), Andrew L. (school and chilling), Mary, Hien, Auntie Catherine (thinking of her family / condolences), Chuck and Andrea (SURPRISE / belated birthday wishes getting together this week, which I doubt will happen!), Karen and Lincoln (apps and expensive business licenses / New York hat), Grace, and baby Micah. Also talked to Enoch, Amasiah (pumpkin pie), Jon C. (birthday wishes for today!), Frances / Isaac / little Micah (junk food / school), Lily, Christon (birthday card / Bible Study), Jeremy (birthday card / borrowing my Neil Strauss book), Deb, and more people afterwards. Eric tried telling me that Dylan had been playing piano - I didn't notice that, actually. However, I *did* notice that Mr. Creep wasn't there today - SO MUCH AWESOME! Eric later told me that he was sick; hey, that's great! Saw Jose and Shally back from their honeymoon, too. Gave Emily, Nina, and Gerard (who just added me to Facebook) a bunch of candy that I didn't want.

I went up to Toddler Sunday School (saying hi to Tim on the way), and saw Ada / a cheerful Mattias / Anastasia / Ramen / Shira (who talked!) / David / Evelyn / James / Brandon / Ashley / Lanie / Auntie Ying / Jessie / Danny. Discussed felts, toy cars, toy ice cream, tow trucks, SITTING DOWN, going to the washroom, holding hands, fighting, and more. Once I got out of there, I showed Dylan my phone bill as proof. He didn't have $2, and Calla said that Deb was out for lunch already with his parents. Acer didn't have the money, either - not that I'd expect HIM to do that, but Dylan did ask. Apparently, I said that Paul was dead to me in front of Dylan, which Eric caught and told me. Meh, it's perfectly fine! Said hi to Grandma on the way out, told Mom that Teunis couldn't make it tomorrow (so she invited Eric instead :P), waved to Quan when we were outside in the sun, and told Auntie Susan to hurry up across the street before the traffic light changed again!

Eric and I talked about "ridiculous" notions, trust, judging, his being my foil tomorrow (YAY!), my "future lovers," talking in person vs. online, my weekly tradition, being friendly, Christmas tunes, video games, pasta for breakfast / lunch / dinner, drugs, being "drunk," being reasonable, the "libido" Thanksgiving Dinner, and more on the way home. At home, Vanessa said she still wants to go to Granville Island - it's doable! Now, it's time to immerse myself in FINAL FANTASY!

9/10/11 - cute, and thank goodness it isn't 9/11/11!

When Eric picked me up this morning, he wondered whether I would have gotten Billie's message if I were sleeping - I'd have checked the computer before leaving, OF COURSE! We discussed venting and Praise 106.5 instead of Team 1040 since they were replaying the game; I can understand that he doesn't want to listen to a game he already witnessed, for sure! When we got to church, I talked to Paxton for a while about baseball, said hi to baby Micah, then talked to Nathan about the hockey game. Steph came in on time - she'd had to Google what time service started, though! I kept up an "amusing" running commentary, hahaha. After service, I talked to Jon / Harmony / Hien / Victor / Enoch (looking for Deb) / Auntie Rebecca / Sam (Manitoba Moose / Winnipeg Jets or Whiteout) / Emily (wedding RSVP) / CHUCK AND ANDREA on THEIR ANNIVERSARY (Thursday - NO HOCKEY, PHEW!) / Melia (Jose and Shally are getting married on 9/10/11 - cute!) / Angus / Yvonne, who's relieved her wedding is NOT on a hockey day at ALL. Of course everyone was talking about the hockey game, too - Steph didn't care if people were yelling at Skytrain stations as long as they didn't do anything dumb! Not surprised that over 12,000 people were in Surrey's viewing area, or that people were still partying at 5:30 AM, hahaha!

Steph and I got a picture with Joey, since it's his last Sunday with us before he leaves for Toronto. I went upstairs to Toddler Sunday School, and saw Ramen / Shira / Jessie / Rachel's grandma / Mattias (who SPIT at me when he wasn't obsessed with glue - BAD!) / Ada / Ashley / David / Evelyn. Played with them, admired their drawings, and talked to them about stuff. From there, it was off to Tsui Woo - we discussed Norman's wedding yesterday (Denise / Brian / Alan / Tracy / Melia / Angus were all wondering WHY THEY'D SCHEDULE THE WEDDING DURING PLAYOFF SEASON at the banquet while checking their phones!), Teunis, the Steveston Tall Ships, Auntie Stella possibly being appalled at the swearing in the Fan Club Whitecaps section, cruises, passports, and more. Stopped off at Steph's briefly so Mom could learn to use Steph's remote, and then got dropped off at home. Teunis had been cleaning a lot, and we had DISCUSSIONS about stuff like gum / audio / silence / podcasts / hockey (DEAL WITH IT!) / Jasmine being triggered by throbbing bass (HAHAHAHA! DEAL WITH IT!) / requirements / Kaili / general craziness. Vanessa said that she has to go to Metrotown on Thursday - YES! A NON-HOCKEY DAY!

Cringing during announcements / JIN AND WAH?! / Fiascos / Candy canes!

When Eric picked me up today in the new car, he bugged me about the frost / ice conditions, and also about being drunk: water is NOT vodka, my friend! He also bugged me about the DARKWING DUCK theme song, the SEINFELD theme song, Mr. Creep / Raymond / Randal, and some other stuff. I said that I eventually would hate a bunch of people (not HIM!), and that my "joke" New Year's Resolution for 2011 was to become even more of a hermit... except when it comes to certain good friends, haha. I'm sure he thought I was serious since I have been championing the cause of the hermit lately, especially during the past two months and change! (I also said I was still full from yesterday's epic dinner - FISH BLADDER SOUP!) When we got to church, we saw Auntie Cathy and Uncle Hansel behind us - later, I insisted that she take the cute kittens calendar (REGIFT DONE!) even if she already had other ones! (she thanked me for it later by the washrooms)

Sat by Jeremy, and laughed at the Chinese Powerpoint slide: he could read the two-stroke character for "man," haha. I could read slightly more than that, but not TOO much more! He said that his brother had left just this morning to go back to school at Queens - sounds about right from what Mark was telling us! Then he noticed that the Communion prayer in the bulletin was actually readable instead of being in a really small font - that's GREAT! I went over to say hi to little Mattias, who actually gave me two high-fives after staring at my black bling sweater for a bit! (Brittney said she liked it yesterday, haha) Said hi to his dad Chung, who had attended Winter Con this week - good for him if he's committed to it, I guess. Jon noticed that Randal was serving Communion - he thinks that was his first time doing it. HA! Of course, I had to cringe when he did the announcements, too - later, Eric said that his term was two years. UGH! (Jon also said that Nate was at Tenth today - COME ON!)

Eric said that he wasn't planning to stay TOO long after service, but we ended up staying till NOON! COME ON, MAN! At least Mr. Creep wasn't there! Hugged Lucas to say "welcome back!" and talked to him about his holidays - also talked to Adam, Andrew, Connie, Auntie Catherine, Hien (wisdom teeth!), Cordia, Quan, and others about the same thing. Offloaded the red licorice on Nina while Carley was poking Hien, too... she's just thanked me for it via FB wall post, actually! Wished Amy a happy early birthday, and discussed the water with Ivan in the kitchen. I said hi to Cindy, who'd noticed that Eric and I weren't at church for a while, so I told her about all the "fiascos," as she later termed it. Gotta love washroom discussions! I saw my old friend Jin with her husband Wah and kids (all grown up now!) Michelle / Matthew / Kristin / Benjamin - I hugged HER hello, and bade Harmony to come over and meet this person, haha! (Jin was wondering about my brother) We talked about Jessica / Geoffrey / Elaine / Johann since they were the only other family with four kids way back when, heh.

While Eric was STILL talking to Raymond (double ugh), I went upstairs to give out candy canes to the Toddler Sunday School class while explaining the "fiascos" to Jessie, who thought I was like Santa Claus with the candy! Since Arthur wasn't there and some new kid named Brandon WAS (he looks like Sam and Connie's kid Jaden did at that age!), I gave that bag to him after first taking the name tag out. I told Ramen and Shira NOT to eat the candy before lunch because I didn't want their mom to kill me, haha! Gave Rachel's bag to her grandma, and Jonathan's bag to his sister Ashley while telling her that she had a bag too. Ada, Mattias, David, and Evelyn just got the bags without any warnings, haha! Went back downstairs and said hi to Keenan while grabbing a MissionsFest info book for me and Chinese Eric, since he's said he wants to go! Haha, we'll see!

Went back into the fellowship hall, where I saw little Micah admiring Stanley's cool guitar. His mom Frances said that he likes the guitar, drums, and piano - maybe he'll grow up to be a rocker, haha! Unexpectedly saw Chuck and Andrea back from Hamilton for a few days only, so of course I said hi to them! No, I haven't found a solution to the mice yet (I can hear them RIGHT NOW, in fact)... UGH! Eric was STILL talking to the guys, so I wondered when he would like to LEAVE - he wondered whether Mr. Creep was there. Not that I knew of (and I was looking during Communion), but you should LEAVE if you say you're going to! I had already done all MY talking to people, so he should have hurried up! He did ask Keenan how fast he could run, but got no answer; the kid just ran away from us! Then I wondered why Dianne had Wes' shirt - apparently, she'd washed it. I assume this is connected to the Polar Bear Swim yesterday, haha.

Eventually, we finally got going after Eric called his dad while getting stuff from the sound room. We talked about a bunch of stuff on the way home (like figure skating / hockey / reasons for disliking people / candle flames), and he bugged me with the DONKEY KONGA theme song - UGH! He said that I could come WATCH them skate - um, no thanks! Gotta reserve my energy for busing over to Billie's birthday party with Korean food and CAKE ATTACKS and nerdiness! (I told him that I wouldn't be here next week when he dropped me off, right after I thanked him for the rides) I might as well tape a BIG sign to my forehead that says "HELLO! I AM A LOSER WHO DOES NOT SKATE!" Besides, my place is probably still warmer than the rink, mice or not. After this, I think I'll take a nap!

This thing just restarted - might as well go to the library now! Got a few emails about the Saturday Dinner - Steph is coming from work, Randal says he can't since that's when he has dinner with his parents (and also gave us TMI about diarrhea), and Steph suggested fruit. Randal countered with "Steph, whatever you contribute, keep the fruit to a minimum. If having too much siu long bao gives you one type of bowel problem, too much fruit can give you the opposite. The night before the diarrhea, I had a banana, an avocado, some strawberries, and an orange. Maybe there was a problem with one of the fruits, but maybe it was just too much fruit. Something to remember if you ever decide to have an all-durian night." Okay, then... I guess Jon, Jeremy, and Dallas (if he ever shows his face) will have to keep that in mind!

Phil loves Thai food but can't make it since he'll be at camp, and Jon says he'll get Christon to buy some stuff before going to Jeremy's. I reminded Steph about the breathalyzer, since she was telling our table at Chuck and Andrea's banquet that she'd bring one with advance notice (and she IS coming from work), and made a joke about Depends since Steph had used that word in a slightly different context. "Randal, no better way to recover from bouts of irregular bowel movements than to share it with friends! Will the strong aroma from the Spicy Pad Thai cover that "peanut-buttery" diarrhea smell? Depends!" I don't really want to know if Randal needs those or not... o_O

Edit: I almost killed myself running for the bus in my "heels" - they're easier to take off, but maybe I should reconsider running in them even if I'm about to miss a bus at the stoplight!

I'm going to try and make this quick, but we'll see. Last year, I didn't quite make my goal. Eric called me when I'd fallen asleep since I simply HAD to take a nap. I was still half-asleep when I got into his car, and I even had to continue the nap on the Canada Line! Talked about nothing in particular, but I bet one of the discussion topics was yesterday! Hey, it was pretty awesome! He later asked me which night had been more special... no comment, man.

We saw Citrus in his uniform at the convention centre for Chuck and Andrea's banquet, so I told him that I'd seen the Citruso truck at Coal Harbor yesterday. He's seen it around town, too. Said hi to Jose as I went upstairs, trailing Eric. Got to the banquet room just in time for things to start - Steph suggested that I get some wine, haha. I told her that she'd be proud of me since I'd walked more than a kilometre yesterday. When she asked what I was doing at Ambleside, I told her that I was hanging out. Soon, Eric told Jon and Harmony (plus Raymond / Jeremy / Danielle / Brent / Steph / Vanessa) that I'd hung out with Dave Wong. Crazy! I told Harmony that it had been fun, we'd come up with ideas for future hangouts, and we'd talked for a long time about a lot of stuff. She said she was happy for me, which at least I can believe.

The table discussed Jon being a housewife (he cooks - but she cleans!), DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES and certain of their activities, 4chan and /b/ (Jeremy's advice to Raymond: "It's rather obscene, so check out the Wiki page FIRST before going there!" - he also asked whether I contributed... NO!), meat for the Albertans, wild salmon being VALUE, mushroom risotto, balsamic vinegar, how drunk Jeremy had been at this exact time last year plus four hours (SO MUCH WINE!), Uncle Daniel being a grandpa soon, poop jokes, TMI (Raymond and Brent now know way too much), "southern regions," "lump sums / donations," Cake references ("Going the distance!"), and more. I asked Steph when Vivian's wedding was - it's on Thursday (in or near UBC) since Gabriel's family is rather strict with the Orthodox Jew faith. You can't have the wedding on Friday or Saturday because of Shabbat! Steph was telling Vanessa that the bridesmaid dresses were purple, but kinda tight for her - oh dear! Turns out Steph is also losing a friend to marriage (sorta) since they move to Waterloo soon afterwards. Uncle Sam came to the table to wish Jon and Harmony a happy anniversary - he remembers because of a golf game, haha.

The speeches were kinda LONG, and it was no surprise that the toasting began before they were completed. We heard practically NO NOISE from any of the other tables - Steph said that Alan and Daniel represented our main competition as far as noise went. Table 28 should represent, yo! (and we did) The table had a good sightline as to my mom's facial expressions - she was NOT impressed when the three of us started singing kinda loudly to Tom Petty's FREE FALLING, and later remarked that she'd been on her way over to shut us up! Hahaha, like THAT would work anyway! The NGS are LOUD! I think she was even more horrified when we started yelling random things - Johnny and Jen thought Jon was drunk already, but that wasn't the case. Steph said that she should borrow a breathalyzer from work to take to either the next wedding OR Sunday Dinner (with advance notice), haha. (Alan was GONE, Christon said)

The girls all got the guys to take pictures of them - later, Steph got the BRIGHT IDEA for a few family pictures. UGH! I had to survive it, though. Chrystal said that she HAD gone this afternoon for the first part, so I told her about things working out this afternoon. Steph, Vanessa, and I skipped the bouquet toss (Vivian got it) in favor of going to the washroom. I confronted Karen Choo on my way there - she thinks I can call her again, but I think I know when someone's doing a FADE on me or ignoring me without their saying so. When the dancing started, Eric and I left - good timing, since we got the right train as it was pulling into the station! He said I might not have survived if I'd stepped onto the escalator as I was going to do - yeah, you know when I'm past it because I spill water everywhere on the table! (or rum and Coke on the computer keyboard, as happened in summer 2008) It's a 9:15 outing tomorrow, so I should be ready for sure! We also talked about taking showers... I do SO take showers regularly!

Eric called me earlier than I thought he would (at about 10), so I had just enough time to change and cram a piece of bread in my mouth to tide me over till the reception. As I thought (and as he said), I failed at being discreet when I told him what I'd done yesterday. He had spent his night trying to play WORLD OF WARCRAFT, but the server was apparently having issues, so he did something else instead. Of course, he said he'd tell my sister about it, so I told him to make sure my mother was nowhere nearby. However, he knows that what he tells Steph about that WILL get back to Mom! DAMN! He had to sing the DARKWING DUCK theme - I was impervious to it today for some reason, however. When I told him in general terms what Dave and I had done yesterday, he thought that "Twinkle" sounded shady. I said that there wasn't anything more to it, and by "anything more," I meant something salacious... NOT conversational substance! (would have taken me too long to tell him all that - I'm sure he doesn't really care, anyhow)

We got to church a little later than we thought we would (darn traffic), and the sanctuary was already kinda full. The wedding started half an hour late, and I had to sit very near Eric due to the crowded conditions! He joked that Chuck WAS a doctor, so he could be even later with his own wedding - so true! We sat by Rick, Vivian's family, and others... I saw Auntie Teresa at the end of the pew, and resolved not to say anything to her. (when I saw Auntie Ying, I didn't say anything to her either!) Saw a whole bunch of kids: Megan, Micah, Isaac, Anne, Olivia, Gabriel, Ian, Connor, and others. Heard Christon laugh a few times from the other end of the sanctuary - oh yes, it's that distinctive! Eric said that he should have left his sunglasses in the car, but had brought them with him - oh well, as long as he had them when we left! He wondered whether I'd like to transit to the new convention centre tonight for the banquet, adding that he could leave his car at the Bridgeport Park n'Ride, and that it was near Waterfront Station - sure, it's smart and avoids parking hassles! As long as he knows where we're going, I think I should be okay like I was yesterday with Dave, haha. Eric will feel weird taking transit in a suit, but figures that businessmen do it all the time.

While we were waiting, he took a bunch of pictures, and observed that Jon could play stuff on the piano and look around the room at the same time. (he said my face was too big, and I said "Excuse me?!" - he said I was far too easy to get a reaction out of - and that I was too close to the camera) Eric wondered whether Jon would play the guitar, piano, and violin - not at the same time... and Dylan and Vanessa were helping him out in any event. Then he wondered how Dylan had managed to lead worship last week, asking if I'd gone to church. I had, and told him that Dylan was on the piano while Christon rounded out the skeleton worship team by leading! I noticed someone with the first name "Chevy" in the program, and also noticed that Megan's name wasn't italicized on the wedding party list! Four bridesmaids, two matrons of honor, and a lot of groomsmen and best men - CROWDED! When the decoration helpers were scattering flower petals down the aisle, Eric thought he heard someone tell them to "stop littering!" - I wouldn't be surprised if it were one of the kids, haha. Steph stopped by our pew to blow me kisses on Harmony's suggestion - AIYA! Things FINALLY got underway at 11:30, by which time some of the kids in the audience were getting restless. By the time things ended, they were REALLY making some noise! We all stayed for group photos later, then made our way to the fellowship hall.

I stuck by Eric, Jeremy, Christon, Isabel, Jon, Wesley, Harmony, Quan, Jessica, Lanie, Johnny, Dianne, Steph, and others. When I told Wesley that I'd seen Dave yesterday, he wanted to know what we did, so I told him in general terms - I didn't care if Jon and Harmony were within hearing distance! Then he wondered what Dave's excuse was for not being at church (I saw the post he'd told me about), so I told him - bike issues and drawing aren't impressive enough, apparently! (and I totally understand why Wesley would say that too, haha!) Harmony thanked me for the GOOD HUSBAND / GOOD WIFE books, and said that Jon would make a good housewife according to those, so of course I had to tell Jon to be her housewife! Hahaha! It was a good thing I left my jacket at home since it turned out to be a comparatively hot afternoon, unlike last year at this exact time where it was a little cooler than normal. I asked Harmony whether my mother had decided on a place or time for Monday's dinner - apparently, Burgoo is easy to get to, so I'll look that up later. Steph said that Mom had called it "Boo-Ger" several times yesterday ("they won't like Milestones since it's a chain - do they like that Boo-Ger place?"), and she'd given up correcting her on that after the fourth time. "Never mind!" Hahaha!

Jon went inside and came back, saying that there was plenty of fried chicken and some cheesecake blobs (as Quan called them) left - no, we didn't really want any more. I observed to Jeremy that the "light" lunch was heavy compared to what I'd had for DINNER yesterday! Talked about the wedding rehearsal, a potential LOUD table since all the NGS would be there (Danielle would totally raise the NOISE quotient!), and more! Saw John, Sophia, Elaine, Shally, Jen, Matt, Jeff, Anita, Allison, baby, Citrus (I so wanted to tell him that I saw the Citruso truck yesterday at Coal Harbor - maybe tonight), Danny, Helen K., Nicholas, Cory, Joshua, Keenan, Karen I., Mattias, David Marr, a bunch of the aforementioned kids, Mel, Frances, Winnie, Kenny, Uncle Richard, Auntie Gloria, Joe and Jeanie (just back from their honeymoon), and lots of other people.

Got a chance to personally congratulate Chuck when he went outside, too. Told Mel that his FB status was so cute - his son Micah wanted to imitate Daddy going to work, haha! His other son Isaac was awake, and it's the first time I've seen him NOT asleep! When I said hi to Jeff, I asked whether the new baby had a name yet: "Joanna - normal spelling" was the pleasant answer I received. Looked for Steph so I could tell her the news, but I can always tell her tonight - she'll have plenty of chances to see the baby in the future, anyhow. Baby Joanna was sleeping soundly, yay! I said hi to Ian, and asked whether he remembered my name - no. Got his brother Gabriel to give me a high-five, heh.

After a while, Eric said that we could leave in a couple of minutes. I used that time to tell Chrystal that I wouldn't be around this afternoon - she wouldn't, either! When I told her that Eric and I would be taking transit from Bridgeport Station, she said she should take transit from her place in Burnaby too! Chrystal said she'd call Auntie Vivian, so I got her to say that I wouldn't be there either. On the way home, Eric said that he hadn't told Steph what I did yesterday. I said that I hadn't told her that she'd be proud of me for walking more than a kilometre all told (I didn't want Dave to think I was a wimp even if my CP was valid for more rest than the hour we had by the water!), so he figured that I wouldn't tell her who I was with. Trust me, I'm sure you'll take care of that since you're crazy and incorrigible!

He said he wouldn't be able to raid in WOW tonight, but that's fine. Talked about THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN, FRINGE, Walter Bishop, the Urban Dictionary (the sense which Dave used "fringe" in a comment to me didn't seem to be in there), celebrating anniversaries, "southern regions," dirty minds, June 26-July 1 (Saturday to Thursday trip - I'll figure out the Sunday later if I don't forget and skip!), and more stuff. He'll call when he's ready to leave, since we do kinda want to be on time even if banquets start late! When I got home, I noticed that Henry had called... perfect! I returned the call, and it turns out that he can't make it to Awana either! Hey, I was going to call to tell him the same thing, so it all works out! I was going to take a nap, but I don't think I'll have much time to do so! (at least I put my bus pass in my pocket before I totally forgot...)
