Legit excuses and throwing religion away!

Sheryll added me to Facebook, so yay for that! Called Steph about things, too. Later, I called Jon about those things - I guess this is a legit excuse to miss Fellowship tonight, so I emailed Eric instead of calling him. Some things are just TOO intimate for a family answering machine... left ONE comment in what used to be my weekly tradition, too. Mom also gave me a bunch of greeting cards yesterday (16th birthday / 21st birthday / new baby / get well soon), but I had to throw out all but four of them since they were religious!

BIG BANG THEORY / Leaving ONTD

Got up at about 8 because it was too sunny outside; discovered that Itamar had left a link to a BIG BANG THEORY scene on my wall, contending that SETTLERS OF CATAN was indeed geeky. WHAT DID I TELL YOU?! (penis jokes and "excessive" laughter aside...) Dad dropped off my purse at 11:15 this morning, so of course I had to thank him for doing that. Also got Steve L.'s contact info before he deactivated his FB account, so that's a good thing! Did a bunch of FB photo organization; Itamar and Jesse both said that everyone got notified of the time changes! SHIT, I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT THAT!

Decided to just "leave" ONTD by not having it on my page; if we can't have video game screencaps in a FREE-FOR-ALL post, then what CAN we have?! Those are some really crazy rules! No more "weekly tradition" for me! I'm sure Eric will be happy about that, haha. :P Besides, I haven't been feeling it lately.

SETTLERS OF CATAN = half-hour videos!

Eric got on MSN to ask whether I were going tonight, so I told him to check his email since I actually responded to one of Christon's for once. He said that I didn't have to play SETTLERS OF CATAN if I didn't want to, but I did have to watch a 30-minute Youtube video (featuring Wil Wheaton) about the game. I was going to do the weekly tradition for all the 400+ screenshots, but stopped at 70 after people thought they'd report me or ban me. Meh, that takes the fun out of things. Then I answered about that many comments before figuring I should call Eric, but Veronica answered the phone instead, which made me nervous for some stupid reason. (LOSS OF CONTROL OR SCRIPT!) I can just imagine Eric's reaction if I tell him to tell his mother not to answer the phone when I call (which I wouldn't) - they have CALLER ID, for God's sake! - but that would be bad. Guess I am going... *stupid brain*

Door searching in jars? / Danielle, Sundin, 4-2 LOSS, LOSING GAMEPLAY

Talked to Talia briefly on AIM today before the game coverage started. I convinced Holly to join the Puckheads group, then she had everyone commenting on (laughing at?) her misspelling of "Sedin" as "Sundine" - ALMOST "Sundin," too! Then I heard that Danielle is moving to Ontario since she got some university job there - WHAT THE. Listened to the hockey game, which started later than usual... @#$@#$@#@ LAST-SECOND EMPTY-NET GOALS!!!!!!!!!! Los Angeles was the better team (as the Canucks lost the game 4-2), but still. Also lost all my Colossus / Dire Palace / Esturk's Palace / Riverton / Izmit dream gameplay today because the computer and Nessie emulator failed to respond! :(

Discovered that Shaun and Golden have both apparently deleted their FB accounts, but my Friend Tracker number remains the same... weird! I also participated in a FFAF which reached the 10,000-comment limit on LJ, and had a piece of gum drop down my shirt. Now THAT is a first! Called Jon to say that I couldn't make it to that dinner tomorrow, never mind Sunrise Service and regular service OR that baptism! Hell no, I won't go! Hahaha! Guess I'll see him on Monday for dinner! Also got around to blocking a few people on Facebook who aren't my friends anymore, namely Leo (who's friends with Eddie and Adela - WTF?) / Vicky / Damien.

Talked to James for a while, which is a pretty good thing... yes, I can get protective of my friends! Also started up a new FB message exchange with Ryan; I did tell him a couple nights ago that I'd talk to him "soon," so this is good enough! The wall post and comment exchange was something I needed to feel loved by a good friend. :D

Valerie came in at 5 since Mom wrote her a note saying to water the plants, and scared me! She apologized, and returned the house key to me. I told her that my brother and I had been taking care of watering the plants, that my grandma was coming home on Sunday, and that my parents were coming home the next day. Yes, they've been emailing us when they can, and seem to be having a good time! I checked the mail before doing laundry again, and Jon got something; I'll keep it for Sunday, I guess.

Dallas in parking lot, Kaili, Teunis, craziness, and yelling (dream)

I had a dream in which Jon, Steph, and a bunch of others were picking Dallas up in a dark parking lot. Then we all went to a house where it was generally understood that Pirate Kaili and Crazy Teunis were our surrogate parent figures. A while later, I found out that Pirate Kaili and Crazy Teunis were actually married and trying to fool us into thinking they weren't. In the dream world, their not being married was perfectly fine, but there would be severe consequences if they WERE. I was very incensed, and told EVERYONE the truth. Once everyone knew, we went around the house and neighborhood having screaming matches while they tried to justify this, and suppress the truth!

I have no idea how the dream ended, but I jokingly blame James for talking about some other guy HE knows named Dallas! (Jon and I thought the only ones that counted were Dallas the person, Dallas Drake, and Dallas Willard - Google FINALLY helped!) I also blame having to see Teunis' FB comments everywhere (KAILI - ex / CAT - ex / KRISTA - ex / ALICIA - frenemy / TESS - degenerate poly person, but so are the others), and of course I blame Kaili's pirate display picture on FB. YOU ARE NOT A FUCKING PIRATE, AND YOUR PRACTICES ARE NOT WHAT SANE PEOPLE WOULD DO! Sometimes, I wonder about geeks.... *shakes head* At least this isn't like a year ago, where I had to pretend that this was okay and normal behavior!

I think I missed a phone call from Chinese Eric today! Of course, "BLOCKED CALL" could be anyone as far as I know, but I associate it with Eric most of all. Hopefully, he got my email last night... and there is a game on today! :D

I got THREE Christmas cards in today's mail, too! Yay for Janina, Marie, Kelli, and Kitty! LJ has changed its comment fields again; the only thing I notice on the custom layer is that the comment boxes are bigger. I'm sure I'll notice more stuff soon, heh. Oh, wait - the time now automatically updates even in EDIT mode... interesting!

Talked to Vanessa briefly on MSN about Wayne liking congee, Granville Island on Saturday, Saturday's game being at night (phew!), and Thanksgiving Dinner. Found an emulator (Visual Boy Advance) that seemed to work okay for now! On the way over to the townhouse, Steph said that Eric wasn't coming - MOST BORING DINNER EVER! Talked about Lisa's job, knitting, HOUSE, Grandma, T&T, Dad's "joking" comments about my weighing 200 pounds (WTF), purple potatoes, the Detroit Lions, NFL, the Canucks' 3-2 win over Columbus, sports, cases, files, Chelsea, India, Iowa, chow mein "pasta," candles, spaghetti sauce, cooking, bean soup, farts, Chinese magazines, translation, and more. I was glad to get home, though!

Paul got back at 6, so I unfortunately had to apologize for the snarky "stealing" comment - he took it in stride, and said he'd been drinking beer at a Surrey friend's place. Of course, I told him that we all knew about what had happened at City Square yesterday, hahaha. Too bad Vanessa didn't call earlier than 6:20 to say she'd be here at 6:30, hehe. We went to Wal-Mart and discussed dried fruit, apricot, pineapple, her health, stupid bitchy people, mothers, my definite trust of Teunis over Paul, A&W burgers, Paul and his past understandably causing me to be wary and "hide," her cousin, Krista / Teunis / Erik / Ryan, Mr. Creep, mental health, Wayne, Halloween candy (I got a half-pound Reese's cup and passed on three-pounder bags of Rockets), gay people, Christmas cards, kettle chips (I got jalapeno cheddar and mesquite BBQ), the Toronto Maple Leafs, the mission, and more. Yes, she was definitely welcome to drop by to eat the A&W (I had prime rib burger) - luckily, Paul was sleeping by then. Why would I talk to him?! Seriously! Vanessa and I discussed mice, homesick people, sending stuff to Wayne, BC, surgery, my guestbook, hearing my neighbors, the size of my place, downtown, and other things before she left.

No more fish burgers at Dairy Queen, Grandma!

I got to the townhouse just before 12, and Grandma thought I was hungry. Well, I know her metabolism demands to be fed RIGHT NOW! We eventually went to the Dairy Queen across the street, where she was not impressed that they don't sell her favorite fish burgers anymore. I got her a regular hamburger and hot water instead after she said that she didn't want cheese on hers, and got a Chocolate Explosion mini-Blizzard with my Grillburger Combo. She thought I didn't have enough food since she was eating some of my fries - it was FINE! I amused myself by telling her that the popcorn shrimp picture was really durian sticks, and the ice cream cakes in the freezer had durian in them, hahaha! She commented on various people inside the Dairy Queen, such as a cute little kid with an ice cream cone! He bit the bottom of the cone after a few minutes, hahaha. His dad told me that the kid had no patience: oh, quite possibly not! She also told me that she rode a motorcycle once when she was a young student - wow! Also, she kept offering me cherries / bananas / nectarines / apricots... no, I'm really not hungry!

At the townhouse, I figured that taking my laptop along was a good idea in theory, but not in practice! After finally finding a plug, it turns out I have to know the network security key in order to connect - that does make sense, haha. So then I perforce used Mom's desktop: I bit the bullet and downloaded / installed Semagic on there, since I gotta update and edit SOMEHOW! Then I almost had a heart attack when the Internet failed to connect for ten minutes or so: this IS the kind of thing which Mom would blame me for! Thank goodness it was just an errant plug on the Blitz modem - phew! Steph thanked me via FB post for Grandma-sitting while everyone is out at Mike and Emily's wedding / Mike and Juliana's wedding, and hopes I get some stories out of it. Hey, Grandma offered to take me out to dinner for being "good," so I'll think of where to go. that has food I don't get too often! I also helped her with the green yarn when it got tangled, and admired the gold-colored scissors.


Grandma, on the junior members of the family: "I remember when Jonathan got married... his wife Harmony is good. It's also a good thing that women can be in Stephanie's line of work now. She likes it, and she doesn't have to take your mom's money anymore!" HAHAHAHA!

Grandma, on my Internet life: "Do you do this all the time without sleep? Have you met many computer friends? Do they come over, or do you just talk?"

Grandma, on Teunis: "Is the white guy I see all the time your boyfriend? Are you sure? You need to get married!"

Discussed the biggest chocolate bar (4410 pounds - I can tell Ian and Sean on Saturday if I remember), expensive dinners ($225 or $900 probably involves alcohol), funny stuff, LJ being down again (this latest one even affects the dungeons and space adventures - NOT COOL), and blocking FB apps. Also talked about Julie S. listing me as her sister (yay!), remembering why I blocked Wordscraper (all the annoying ads which you can't remove!), his being on the programming list for Chrome, confusion about FB / LJ link comments, and more prior to my going to bed. Might as well post this while LJ is actually behaving!

I couldn't sleep at 4 AM, so exited my room to at least try to make amends for the accidental juice spillage - I got out $15 from my wallet, and put it on the little table with a "Here you go since I feel bad; I'm going back to bed." As immersed as Teunis was in his game and listening to something (which I could barely hear from my room with the door closed!), he was like "Wait, what?!" When I got up, he said he didn't feel like going to dance class - of COURSE that makes sense! (not being sarcastic, for once) We also talked about a heavy metal band which likes to sing about battles, hahaha. Got Jon's email where he said that he and Jeremy would be making Mexican mole this Sunday, but not with 100 ingredients; they want to start no later than 3, and invite us to participate in the process. Well, there IS a meeting, unless I'm confusing my dates again! I can just imagine the mass exodus at 2:45 to make it to the location by 3, hahaha. Maisie also commented on my wall post to Phil about EASTER BAPTISMS with something TOTALLY unrelated - "what's the name of your healthy little one?" I know she's "different," but THIS IS WHY YOU START A NEW WALL POST THREAD! AIYA!

Dream of two brothers named Mattias and butter / "Laundry" excuses / Haunted houses

I went to bed at 5:30 AM again, mainly because I spent about an HOUR AND A HALF on the Cheezburger sites and the comments within. Had a dream which involved little Mattias having a younger brother also named Mattias (we called the brother Mattias John to distinguish between the two), their being in the shoe department of a big store when their dad Chung was demonstrating an airplane toy for the public, their liking the elevator for some reason, our reading a book in which we had to save a character from death via poison, and going to the grocery section of the store in order to buy a lot of butter since we were down to one single pat in the tub we had. No idea why I had it - I assume Mattias is a big brother now, but I know that Chung and Karen will probably choose a differing name! It's not like my subconscious is processing those times when I really WAS down to one pat of butter in the past!

Eric also tried calling me, so I invoked the mythical "laundry" excuse. He immediately went Australian ("Stanley") on me, so I said I wasn't going to come out tonight. If he figures he's getting me out of the house tonight, he has another think coming! Besides, I have a rather involved dungeon to do, which is way better than having to listen to a certain someone all evening long!

Chris emailed us with the dates of two important / mandatory leader orientations: September 5 and 12 after church. Maxine emailed me an Evite for Karen Chan's bridal shower, taking place the day after my birthday. I don't think I can make it since Awana will probably be starting that weekend!
