NED KELLY, baby Declan grabbing my hat, and distractions!

I had to wait a while for the 407, but it took me to Deb and Dylan's with no problem at all. Got there and instantly started playing with baby Declan (who's 18 pounds - Ayler is fifteen pounds at three months!), while half-watching BEING ERICA. At nine months old, he tried stealing my hat multiple times - I didn't let him touch it too much, haha! He made a lot of spluttering noises, and tried to talk to us; cute! We talked about our days, whether it was hard work being a baby ("they don't share their food, and tell me when to sleep!"), reading baby books, baby Ayler, Steph, Lisa, Vegas (Dylan knows they got married from FB), work venting, toys, steak / salad / cheesecake / ice cream / veggies / kimchi, Grandma, exercise, life insurance, and more. Also watched NED KELLY and some of CENTER STAGE on Netflix... I think I needed the gunfire and violence to take my mind off certain personal things!

Interesting stories - haven't watched a dance movie in more than four years! Got home to find that my parents had called me about tomorrow - I guess 4:30 should be fine if they want to see Big G! We've told her that Uncle Michael is coming, but she doesn't seem enthusiastic about it; we do know she's tired a lot, though. I bet Mom doesn't want to bump into Uncle Michael, haha. Personally, I don't mind if I do! On another note, it's a good thing that Chinese Eric didn't call me; I got home at 10:15, which might be late. Won't be able to call him till maybe Friday, but if people are still in town, I might have to wait till Tuesday. Can I do that?! YIKES! I love him (not in that way!), and this is really bad. At least I know HE isn't like certain other people I could name! Jon also emailed us (me / Harmony / Steph / Nate) about some restaurant in the Downtown Eastside called FAT DRAGON which apparently is a Chinese BBQ / Southern BBQ fusion, and he thinks he's willing to make this an early birthday dinner for me. Hahaha, we'll see about that!

DEADLY MASQUERADE, Borongo, Kabochi, and TORMENT!

Barry picked me up early for banking and food shopping, but we encountered much traffic on the way to the banks. We discussed crossword clues, Isaac Asimov, I ROBOT, a "swain," Shakespeare, life updates, and more. When I was finally at the store, I saw Deadly Masquerade: A True Story of Sexual Secrets, Illicit Passion, and Murder (Donita Woodruff) on sale for $5, so I bought it. Also got blackberry juice, on-sale Sunny D, replacement nail clippers, on-sale Palmolive replacement detergent (pomegranate / lavender / orange), replacement Nottingham bread, soy milk x3 (one in chocolate!), strawberry Olympic Greek yogurt, butter, wildberry juice, bananas, on-sale banana and chocolate oatmeal breakfast bars, and Motts Spicy Clamato. Went home and paid my Internet bill - there will be ANOTHER increase?! HOLY HELL. Now I gotta get ready to go to Deb and Dylan's pretty soon, so I can play with baby Declan!


After they find Papas' Sword and Borongo in the Western Cave, the DRAGON QUEST V party goes back to Kabochi to collect the other half of the 3000G reward. Borongo has been terrorizing the village crops, and this little kid says that he KNOWS the Hero is a jungle boy!

Pureed food, Grandma, Baby Dragon, Vanessa, and Deb

Visited Grandma for a bit: she said the food wasn't very good (but it's pureed!), and said I could order stuff if I was hungry. Once again, your residence is NOT a hotel, hahaha! I had to feed her some of her salmon / veggies dinner before she decided she could do it herself, but she said she wanted to sleep first since she was very tired. I asked if she had seen the baby, and she surprisingly acknowledged meeting Baby Dragon Ayler! Then I told her that Uncle Michael would be coming soon, but she didn't seem very excited. Oh well.

Got home to take a shower and do some laundry, then Vanessa said hi on MSN / YM. She wants to go to Ironwood on Sunday with her friend Kim, who's going on the ferry from Victoria just to eat at Cora's, hahaha! Good thing I don't have to be at church, eh? I called Deb about tomorrow, and she called me back - sure, I can get there after 4 and my food shopping. Should be doable from Gilbert, anyway... 407? She says I can stay for dinner, and then Dylan can take me home!

CONTACT WITH CHINESE ERIC! / Yes or no / Nuns / Handsome / Reinhart peace

Managed to finally make contact with Chinese Eric at 12:45, but he was heading out again since the uncles and such were in town. I said that if he called me at 4 AM, I would definitely not be answering the phone, haha! Yes, I can definitely understand his being tired and such after getting home from being out all day and taking a shower. MSN or a phone call would be good - just maybe not tomorrow evening since I have these tentative plans with Dylan and Deb! Tonight, maybe! Also called Barry about forty minutes later; tomorrow at 1:30 it is!

Turns out that Billie N. and I were both having Que Pasa blue corn chips last night during the hockey game - what a coincidence! No, I don't have a camera in her Kelowna place, hahaha! I was having them plain, but she had hers with cream cheese and jalapeno jelly. Unfortunately, that didn't help the outcome of the hockey game, as St. Louis won 3-0 for our third game out of ten where we were shut out. I finally finished my passion fruit and lemon ginger Côte d'Or chocolate bars, but they weren't what I was expecting. NEVER AGAIN! Deb finally emailed me back, saying I didn't have to get her anything since she figured I might be busy - TOO BAD!

Went out in rainy weather to Zellers at Lansdowne to see if they had sweatpants - nope, and it was the same story at Sears when I went to Richmond Centre. (but I did get new dark panties from there!) There were plenty of winter coats, but that's not what I was looking for! I did do some banking, encountered an asshat on the bus who called me "dear," was reminded of the inexorable approach of Christmas, and got some stuff done at least. Got on-sale pads and on-sale baby oil / an inexpensive baby shower card as a gift for Deb at Shoppers Drug Mart, browsed books at Indigo Spirit, browsed expensive sweatpants at Old Navy, had a strawberry bubble tea from Flaming Wok, had lunch from Good-Ah! in the food court (steak sandwich - needed a fork from A&W), and bought stuff from London Drugs. Italian Hazelnut Truffle chocolate bars, on-sale French Vanilla Coffee Crisp, honey Goldfish as an alternative to sugary Halloween candy for Mattias (respecting Karen and Chung's wishes will go far!), and toilet paper will do for me! When I got home, I talked to Teunis briefly on MSN and sent Deb an email about her gifts.

Debbie Schmidt added me to Facebook; I suspect she's from Our Place. After some looking around, I was right: she just goes by Debbie on there. Then Kennedy "Kenny Grace" M. added me, but she's from the Canucks FB fan page. The Canucks lost 3-2 tonight, too...

Sometimes they drop Dung, which you can leave with Wan Sum Dung in order to get five free experience points for your party! Some stupid random person named Bill Jewett wanted me to add them to Facebook - I DON'T THINK SO! I tried calling Chinese Eric, but he wasn't available. Later, white Eric said on MSN that he'd be out all day with church, a worship meeting, and the Dine-In with the college people. Dylan and Deb were at Phyllis and Martin's wedding, but I didn't want to call them because I'd told Maxine that I wouldn't attend Deb's baby shower after all. Staying home sounded like the best option by FAR!

Eric thought that I would attend the dinner if Paul weren't there; this was the first I've heard of THAT! We discussed calling Ivan (no), ignoring Paul, the end times and the last Bible Study, bad singing, "YES!" seeming like I was excited, swearing, "heroes," forgiveness, letting him know about things, Sechelt, telepathy, senses, and more. Then Vanessa got on MSN to say that she wanted some more of the bread from Granville Island. We talked about her upcoming vacation, appointments, Wayne, her being really bored, special treatment, health issues, walking vs. busing, Libya, ships, meetings, and more. I'm not going to let certain people know that I forgive them in case they think the behavior is okay to repeat in future!

Checked my mail, and got a tax cheque - Teunis also got two pieces of mail, so I informed him of this over MSN. The Canucks lost 2-0 to the Red Wings, also... sigh! Maxine and Helen C. also invited me to Deb's baby shower on Oct. 23 at noon, via Evite. I already have enough problems staying awake on Sundays, but it's been forever since I've been to one of these. Of course, they're almost always filled with games - I don't know!

TALES OF PHANTASIA "action button" is ANNOYING! / Eric's not going - yay!

Played TALES OF PHANTASIA for a while last night; I loved the graphics, but that action button moving was way too flipping ANNOYING! Took a shower and did some laundry when I got up today; received an email from Eric, who can't make it out to Dylan and Deb's tonight since he hasn't been feeling well lately. OH NO! *sad face* He thought that I may be interested in coming out, but might need a ride. I replied back to say "THANK GOD! I need to vent about my week in my weekly tradition, and I haven't been interested in coming ever since Randal added Mr. Creep to the email exchange about this potluck!" PHEW! Deb wondered if I needed a ride, but I need the break from certain people even more!

Bleeding / Caller ID defenses! / Done BREATH OF FIRE II

For some reason, I was bleeding today when I took the toaster oven out - WTF? At least I checked my mail, and Janina had mailed a lovely birthday card! Calla sent me a Gmail chat message asking if Stanford were teasing me with riddles; er, no? Apparently, the message was meant for someone else; good deal, haha. Then Paul kept trying to call me, but my Caller ID defenses were UP! Later, Deb tried to call me as I was in the middle of a boss battle with Barubary from BREATH OF FIRE II, so I said I'd call her at 8 while clarifying last night. Hmph! At least that gave me time to FINALLY finish the game! :D

Deb and Dylan dropped by at 8:20 to pick up the jerk's stuff, and tried to change my mind about the potluck at their place tomorrow. I wasn't impressed with Randal's "incentive" of dancing naked, although Alan's reply of how he liked nudity and would like that show DOES sound like what he'd say! After they left, I settled into my usual routine of ignoring all phone calls. :D

Imagine my annoyed surprise when I got two phone calls, a buzzer request, and a Gmail chat from Jon and Paul, all centering around Paul wanting to be let in / spare keys. Apparently, Deb took Paul home (while stopping by Superstore on the way), and he can be at Deb's on Tuesday. Thank goodness! I was NOT in the mood to talk to him when he DID get in, of course! Man, I hate my solitude being interrupted! It was okay with Teunis since he gets it, but I'm not sure Paul does! Of course I know that I might change my opinion of Jeremy if I had to live with HIM every day, but there's a reason he can know about certain things - I TRUST HIM! Had to talk to Paul about his plans for tomorrow - going to the boonies of Surrey, apparently! This is much better than a shelter for the morning person that he is, heh.

Esther Chow finally decided to add me to Facebook, haha. As advertised, Deb came by with the air mattress - thank goodness I could turn my phone off after 9:30 despite Paul not being here yet, haha. Paul called at 11, wanting to apologize for the waking up early and such... I guess there's nothing I can do but accept it (*sigh*), although I did also tell him how I felt. He also wanted to tell me about jobs, a possible new place (Broadway / Fraser), Starbucks (coffee past 11?! ARE YOU INSANE?!), hanging out with Randal (ew) / Christon (NOT "Christian"!) / Jeremy tonight while they did some Sunday School stuff, Jon, rent, money, reading Numbers, going the wrong way and hitting Lansdowne instead, and more. I personally don't care if he is out late tomorrow, since I'll be that way too! HA!

Air mattresses, parting with yourself, Gate bathrooms, and worry

My downtime was shattered at 8 PM when Paul called from SERVANTS (using Craig's phone) to say he'd be on his way home now; thank goodness he had to take the bus, otherwise I'd have been on edge more! Of course I don't answer phone calls from anyone during the day (Eric would say "all the time"), so that means Deb and Dylan were out of luck! As for their offer of Deb's air mattress from storage, I'll take it since then I don't have to worry about my couch! I swear, I'm turning into a germaphobe since I have been making plans to buy a new bathmat when this is all over!

Amanda, Andrea L., and William deleted their Facebook profiles too. When Paul got here, I was determined to just be myself... accomplished that quite handily by not giving him too much help with the wireless / places around here, telling him to PUT A SHIRT ON (I don't care how much artwork he has on his body!), saying that the window wasn't a "door," and generally being snippy. Complained to Kenny via Skype messages - thank goodness I didn't need to censor myself!

Man, the light bulb in my room just burnt out! Teunis just replaced it a couple months ago at most, too! Maybe I'll ask him to do that again on Thursday before we leave... eminently trustworthy!

ZIPLOC BAGS SHOULD BE ZIPPED!

I discovered that Paul had stupidly left the Ziploc bag of chocolate UNZIPPED - who does that?! Now I have no more chocolate! He got back after 6, and at least gave the spare keys back to me. Then he wanted to borrow a USB port and the phone; fine, as long as you don't use my phone to call long-distance! I talked to Teunis about Mr. Creep (he agrees with me) and Thursday arrangements - I prefer his picking me up later, haha! Dylan called soon after to say he'd be picking us up; since I wanted to be by myself (but couldn't), I just contented myself with VERY short answers to anything Paul said, haha.

Dinner itself was pretty good - Dylan and Deb didn't need to apologize for stuff from the Richmond Public Market, that was for sure! (I didn't like the eggplant, but tofu / beef / short ribs were all good) Learned a lot about Paul's past (gangs / jail / exes / kids / almost dying a few times) and his future (too much religious talk / bad grammar for my taste), social workers, and discussed THEIR wrong opinions on homosexuals (even Jon got mad when he referred to them as "faggots") and God wanting them to be saved - I just kept my mouth shut for much of that! Also discussed electricity / Palestine / Irish / babies / parenting / "allergic to dust" / cleanliness / SERVANTS / Jon / durian / rambutan / lychee / longan / Amy / Ivan / JOB and PROVERBS and THE MESSAGE / Eugene Peterson. Good thing I don't have to be worried about leaving Paul alone in the apartment on Thursday, since he apparently has other plans in North Vancouver... PHEW! The phone ringing will serve as his alarm tomorrow, HA! (hopefully, not mine!)

Called Chinese Eric, but he was at the doctor's! I wondered if he got my email, and then he wondered whether anyone was giving me a lift on Wednesday. Well, I kinda asked Deb on Friday because I didn't want to burden white Eric (stupid childhood conditioning!), but time spent with Chinese Eric is to be treasured, especially these days! He says he'll message me later, which is just fine.
