Saw a TLC show called "BRAZIL BUTT LIFT" last night - once I figured out that it was an infomercial for a crazy product which claimed to lift your butt, I changed the channel to a random movie instead. Before bidding me goodnight and saying stuff about my sleep schedule and religion, Eric thought I was the target demographic; NO! Then he thought that I could always use a bit of Christ in my life; I really hate preachy people!

I wouldn't have listened even if he DID have time to prepare a sermon on the subject at 12:30 AM! If you're not paid to do it, DON'T preach at me! Got up this morning, turned on the TV, and a TV evangelistic church show happened to be on; I switched shows as soon as possible! I never liked it when my mother would make me watch those things in junior high in lieu of actually going to church because of my operation! Switched online radio stations to 98.3 KTWS The Twins (Bend, OREGON) for the Alice Cooper Show - I don't like hours on end of acoustic music OR Racer NASCAR Rock, which is what 106.5 the Fox (Lucerne Valley, CA) was doing!

Before I left, Teunis and I discussed noise / headphones / mustard / hot sauce / potatoes and cabbage / flavor / hockey. Just before Eric called to say he was leaving, Vanessa buzzed me on MSN about birch pop and such. On the way to Starbucks, Eric and I talked about the combination of fruity gum and non-Elections Canada hand sanitizer / Randal's news (:D) / picking Jen up / the hockey game... of course we shared excitement when Vancouver scored to make it 2-1! When we picked Jen up, we talked about the election / voting (SHE voted Conservative, which actually isn't surprising coming from HER) / byelections in her area / Randal's news. She fielded a call from Vivian wondering where we were, especially since Pastor Tom wasn't there yet! Once we got there, we got tea / water / white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and settled down to our meeting. Of course we HAD to pray for Randal and his family, but I didn't really do this. Discussed summer programs, Vivian's update on the hockey score with ten seconds left in the game (honestly the most interesting aspect: 4-2 win), Boston Pizza being right next door (we heard cheering for what we assumed was a goal), snacks, and more.

On the way home, Eric turned the radio off for some reason - we passed by the Budget store, and discussed the NHL cracking down on their "Go Canucks Go" marquee. That reminded me about Rock 101 and the lawsuit around the "Crush for the Cup" promotion! After dropping Jen off, he wondered why I'd sounded so cheerful when Jen asked us if we'd heard Randal's news - hey, I can't hide my feelings for too long, especially since I know his true colors! Good thing I sent him that civilized email, however: it makes me look good, haha. Then he called me on saying "ew" ("bad," he wrote) when someone mentioned Raymond cooking; it's a good thing he didn't see my face when Jen mentioned Mr. Creep and his hiking last year! We discussed my "lack of social niceties" and more on the rest of the way home: as I thought, Teunis had turned everything off when I left! No surprises there, since he wanted "peaceful quiet" - some people do function better with background noise, but it's fine if he wanted to concentrate on something! I prepared tomorrow's dinner since Eric has to leave early for worship practice AGAIN - guess there will be no Free Friday for me, sigh! I WISH THERE WERE!

We also talked about Doctor Who, key lime pie, broadcast replays confusing him, radio volume, weird stuff, young electors (19?!) / Quebec rock band members getting elected, overtime, POWER PLAY GOAL by Kesler again to make it a 3-2 FINAL, plans with Kaili (again), and more. Let's just say that getting to SLB on time would be better if there was a CLEAR SCHEDULE ALL AFTERNOON - people! *sigh* (speaking of SLB, Danielle says she can't make it because her cousins are organizing something for her birthday - maybe some other time!)

Steph and Lisa picked us up, and then they fielded a call from Jon - he was already at the townhouse?! We talked about voting and such on the way there. During the evening, we discussed many topics: the Boston-Montreal hockey game, doing dishes (bleh), the election results and how the candidates looked physically (some were really young!), when Eric would hurry up and finish counting ballots (he finally arrived before 9:10 with some official Elections Canada hand sanitizer for me - HAHAHA!), Jeremy's work, what "hotness" meant, the site with OLD candidate pictures, the Rhino Party, Communists and Marxist-Leninists, Lisa's new job / graduation, lamb, Whole Foods chocolate cake, Nathan's family dinner, SLB on Wednesday (Nate can pick us up), turkey, Grandma thinking I should let my friend sit down (not MY fault he was being HAK-HAI!), Reader's Digest stuff like a story about a guy with an axe in his head, coffee, tea, and Alice Wong.

We also talked about name recognition, Clement and Jocelyn's engagement, the NDP being the official opposition to the Conservatives, values, recipes, Kevin Weekes, black / Asian NHL players, strawberry pudding, mango pudding, durian pudding (EW), potatoes, vomitoriums, Randal's mom doing way worse (he sent us an email about the final stages), Eddie and Eunice finally getting engaged, flirting, Gene Simmons, Mom's deafness ("Nathan's dead?!") and confusion ("I can see the chemicals [between characters on CASTLE]" - she meant CHEMISTRY), and more. I asked Mom how she felt about Steph - "you know I'm not happy, but we'll just need to pray that they come back to Christ, since Lisa also comes from a Christian family!" :(

STOP BLOCKING THE ELEVATOR

For some reason, white Eric called me at 6 - he is CRAZY! He said the talk with Gordon Smith started at 7; at least that was a good reminder, as I never really read too many of the emails this week because I was TRYING to be hardcore while working! Then I tried calling Chinese Eric, but his mom said that the medicine made him sleepy - so of course he was sleeping! Ha, quite understandable... I helpfully provided my name when she seemed to be stuck on it! When white Eric picked me up, I ranted a lot about the usual subjects; he said that Randal, Raymond, and Mr. Creep were not in my small group this year. Well, good... but it was kinda fun ragging on Randal at least! Frankly, I wouldn't be a good congregational committee member, haha - when I told this to Eric, he listed off a bunch of excuses that I'd use on people. Purple, haha! I asked if I'd missed anything interesting on Sunday (his parents had apparently gone to service) - we apparently have a new interim pastor now by the name of Tom Ford. Hmm... I hope he speaks well! (Eric bugged me by mispronouncing "Joseph" - STOP THAT!) Eric also said that Randal had called Gordon Smith the "love doctor" - oh dear. :P

The talk on love itself was okay, and fortunately ended at 8:30 - I don't think he was serious about going up to everyone on a bus and blessing them for taking the bus with me since they helped pay for it! People would look at you like you're crazy, man! I had to choose my seat strategically after talking to Jon about the cinnamon and Teunis because Mr. Creep was a row away, so I sat near the back where Mike / Emily / Citrus / Victor / Cynthia / others were. Of course, I waved to Victor - it was good seeing him back from Hong Kong! Unfortunately, Mr. Creep had input on the talk - JUST SHUT UP ALREADY! Then he wanted to go eat with us... luckily, Eric and I had little cash on us (he had small coins while I had $10), so we just went home! (in the meantime, I talked to Vivian about her snow day this week and the rescheduled Committee Meeting / to Jon about Chinese Eric's apparent interest in SERVANTS / to Dianne about going home and studying / to Wesley about the South Edmonton Church, which apparently Enoch knows about; Christon would know about it, of course)

When Eric and I went out into the foyer, I was distracted by little Mattias clutching his dad's leg - he was actually playing with a green toy car. (I should get him one of those, haha...) I said hi to him, and asked if the car was his - dumb question if asked to anyone above the age of six, I suppose, but he's only two and a bit! Someone else decided to take the car for laughs while Mattias was distracted - it wasn't me, I told him. After he got the car back, I left with Eric via the elevator. That would have been fine (even saying hi to Auntie Catherine), but then MR. CREEP BLOCKED THE DOOR WHEN IT WAS ABOUT TO CLOSE! *unprintable language goes here* He just wanted to say that he wasn't sure whether they were going to Beefy Beef or e.tea / Oscar's / SushiHolic (in the old Mama's Kitchen location) - GO AWAY! WHEN WE SAID WE WERE GOING HOME, WE MEANT IT! YOU ARE NOT A SELLING POINT! UGH! Of course, the elevator door BEEPED after that... stupid person!

I managed to hold in any ranting tendencies until we got to the car since Auntie Catherine was still within hearing distance, but Eric commented quietly that I was agitated. YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! I THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO ACTUALLY GET INTO THE ELEVATOR WITH US! HELLO?! ENCLOSED SPACES WHERE YOU CAN'T RUN OR HIDE?! After that, he said I should practice "love thy neighbor" and have a new project where I called Mr. Creep by his name... the last isn't going to happen, although he admits that "Nemesis" is slightly better. As for his being my neighbor, that would only be true in the vast global sense... NOT IN THE SEXUAL OR EROTIC SENSE! (and I wouldn't want that anyway because of what he did - and especially not after Bob sent me a message soliciting sex via FB chat [PATHETIC!] at 12:45 AM yesterday!) I happen to be good at loving my (metaphorical) neighbor, and I'm not being delusional when I say that! We also talked about bananas on bus stop ads, editing, typos, Toddler Sunday School, errors driving me crazy, honor and glory awaiting him in WOW when he completed cooking / fishing daily achievements while battling scarabs and such, Sunday, and more. When I got home, I had to block Connie Dennis because she was quite rude about my helpfulness in distinguishing between H20 and H20. (H2O is water, while H20 can be misread as H-20) No loss there, since she didn't comment on my stuff anyway!

After the girls watched the ROCKY HORROR episode of GLEE, we were pretty much on our way out the door to go to the Market Crossing location of Marble Slab Creamery. I didn't care where we went, because I'd heard they had BIRTHDAY CAKE ice cream; I got the Birthday Bonanza with gummi bears and sprinkles! (Steph got pumpkin pie) Lisa asked me whether the gummi bears got hard in the ice cream: they were still somewhat chewy, I thought. They'd last been there on Labor Day, and the store makes all its own fresh ice cream and stuff. On the drive home, we listened to the Canucks and Avalanche in overtime... there wasn't very much of it because some Colorado guy shot the puck in his own net with only 28 seconds played!
