UGH. I COMPLETELY FUCKED UP when it came to filling out my bus pass application. Wonder if I can get another one... I should call Barry on Monday, I guess! Now I gotta figure out what to wear to this wedding... blah. The party is in disguise as soldiers in Prison Town... thanks for the uniforms, General Soldi of Reidock! We are warped into Masarl's mind, where two demons (Zuikaku and Shoukaku) are getting him to pledge his loyalty to Deathtamoor. "The great sage Masarl must be under the control of the demon emperor!" Masarl's sage brother Krimut can be found in Prison Town, and joins as a non-playable character so they can meet... contrary to Deathtamoor's wishes! The demon emperor also turned all the Prison Town villagers to stone!

CONTACT WITH CHINESE ERIC! / Yes or no / Nuns / Handsome / Reinhart peace

Managed to finally make contact with Chinese Eric at 12:45, but he was heading out again since the uncles and such were in town. I said that if he called me at 4 AM, I would definitely not be answering the phone, haha! Yes, I can definitely understand his being tired and such after getting home from being out all day and taking a shower. MSN or a phone call would be good - just maybe not tomorrow evening since I have these tentative plans with Dylan and Deb! Tonight, maybe! Also called Barry about forty minutes later; tomorrow at 1:30 it is!

I'm having sudden flashbacks to how that perfidious blackguard Yazmine Loquia ended our friendship in May 2005 over fifty cents at Kalamata Taverna! YIKES!

Went with Barry to the Ministry, but NO DICE there. Got home to check my email - Eunice and Eddie got my wedding RSVP, and sent me a link (useless to me) for driving directions. I replied to Mandy's email about the personal things which have been going on around here lately, and composed a draft for later use. Also called Chrystal and gave her a very brief recap on the past couple of weeks (Vegas / personal issues); we're getting together for dinner on Tuesday night so we can talk more about stuff without my feeling bad about interrupting her workday, even if Andrew is a good supervisor and normally doesn't really care about such things! Decided to try No$GBA again since the VBA slowness is REALLY bad! Erin C. and John S. from Puckheads added me to FB at the same time - meh, I'm up for it! Eric M. called to see whether I was going tonight - since I miss venting / ranting (and OH BOY DO I HAVE STUFF TO VENT ABOUT!), I decided to go.

L.A. Kings Stanley Cup / Feeling better on multiple levels

I feel better on more than one level today, so that's a start. Space is GOOD for me! Called Barry about money issues and the power outage, too. After about ten days or more, my emotions are not quite so raw, but it's still not a good idea to talk. Maybe a message tonight, but I don't know about that. He was a good listener; however, trust and hurt are big words. Actually, I sent one referencing emotions and such right after I heard that the Kings won their first Stanley Cup against the Devils... I gotta have the last word!

Jack FM, conducive rest, Mom not helping!

Decided to switch to JACK-FM for my radio listening pleasure last night since I was tired of hearing Gotye on the Fox; yes, it describes my feelings too perfectly right now. Of course, I will certainly hear RUSH on the station, but it's Canadian! Steve L. linked me to good new Rush videos in an email, so it can't be THAT bad! I do trust Steve, and it's excellent that he knows his stuff. Later, white Eric buzzed me on MSN about church. Especially since he had to be there early AND this hamsterette still needs rest, I said no. I gave him a very abbreviated version of how the trip had gone, and he mixed up the words "conducive" and "conductive." Not quite the same thing, my dear!

While he was bugging me about my calling Ayler "baby Jesus," I asked him whether he'd at least bought my ticket to Pastor Rebecca's farewell dinner on Canada Day. (NOT my "ticket to ride," you dork!) He said he had, and wasn't lying since he had tickets 151 and 152. Good, then! I'd gotten some email from Randal on the matter earlier in the day, which is why I'd asked. That was a better conversation than Mom trying to make me feel bad that I was sick since I didn't listen to her in Vegas about the pink shoulder covering... nope, this isn't caused by not wearing a jacket, either! At least I got up at 11:15, and can now do my own thing! (but will need to call Barry tomorrow for certain things)

Spicy pig's ears! / Nori peanuts / Perfect excuses and passports

Steph called to see if I'd like to go out for lunch with the lards; thank goodness that the food shopping appointment provided the perfect excuse! I'll probably be able to stand them when they get back, even if I'll need to contact Flime about dinner that night in a couple of weeks! When Barry picked me up, I bought some things at Price Smart: Kleenex with lotion, Dutch Crunch chips (Jalapeno and Cheddar x2 - one for tonight's potluck / Cracked Black Pepper and Balsamic Vinegar / Mesquite BBQ), nori peanuts (impossible to open - I'll get Eric to do that), on-sale Samlip dumplings (kimchi / vegetable), Olympic Greek yogurt x2, some bananas, spicy pig's ears, Silk dark chocolate almond milk, a Jer's peanut butter and chocolate bar FOR Jer (hahahaha!), and a Grilled Beef Steakette "Pub Favorites" Hungry Man Dinner.

I was disappointed to learn that they didn't sell garbage cans anymore! He agreed to drive me to the post office at Shoppers Drug Mart in Blundell Centre, even if I was REALLY awkward about asking. Thank goodness, since I really would have had no time to bus there in the rain, keeping the beloved weekly tradition in mind! As I thought, the mail delivery notice was indeed for my new passport! Got home and called Steph after putting things away: I might start living at the lards' tomorrow, even. (concerned about that curry beef, I am!) With that in mind, I started to pack a few things like clothing!

LETTERS TO SCREWTAPE isn't a uterus or envelopes!

Barry called me to say that tomorrow at noon works for food shopping; fair enough! Also replied to Mandy's way late email while I remembered. I checked my mail, and was responsible in paying my phone bill... I also got a mail delivery notice, which I think is referring to my passport. Yeah, I noticed a missed call at 10:30, but I wasn't ready to get up yet. Oh well, I can go tomorrow to Blundell Centre after 1. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can get Barry to drive me there after food shopping!

Called Steph, who says she's taking the lards to the airport in the morning - that doesn't work for me, but I kinda thought so. Eric got on MSN to ask about tomorrow's potluck / sharing / board games small group night, and also about the LETTERS TO SCREWTAPE book which he needs for Sunday School. (he's staying even later because of some worship ministry meeting) This resulted in hilarity! (and so did my later call to Mom: she did say I could stay for the duration of their holiday, and offered me curry beef / pasta / muffins / snacks / microwaveable meals)


Eric: "Hey, do you have the LETTERS FROM SCREWTAPE? I'd like to borrow it."
Me: "Yes, I have a uterus, but I fail to see what an envelope has to do with it."
Eric: "WTF?"
Me: "Damn, I guess I need to read things CAREFULLY before I respond on MSN."


Mom: "I sent out an email with our ITINERARY."
Me: "You spelled it wrong. Actually, you used the wrong word!"
Mom: "But I used the spellcheck!"
Me: "That's because you used the word LITERARY! Of course that wouldn't come up on the spellchecker! WTF."
Mom: "Is there even such a word? What's WTF?"
Me: *gives up on teaching Mom English / slang over the phone*

Takoyaki (octopus balls), Izumiya, Granville Island, and Kwong Chow

Vanessa got on MSN and complained about waking up early - trust me, I can definitely understand after this week! She picked me up at 10 AM, which was fine. We went to Lansdowne Mall briefly since she had to go to the bank, to Granville Island, to Kwong Chow restaurant for lunch (practically next door to Uncle Daniel's practice), and to Izumiya so I could maybe find some octopus balls or takoyaki... I did find them in the FROZEN section, so bought 50 of those along with some bananas. Discussed James / Texas, how Teunis needs to just COPE with things normally, Krista, Tess unfriending me on FB, bad drivers, annoying pedestrians at crosswalks (especially those who don't look before crossing OR who don't organize their kids!), family, Jon, Paul and BS, Steph, Mom, gay marriage, and Lisa. Mom does say things behind people's backs, and Jon needs to just shut up about people who CROSS LINES when they're virtual strangers! I got some peppery beef and shrimp noodles (with leftovers!), and the restaurant also forgot to charge Vanessa for her gai-lan.

Also talked about her brother, cold showers, hair and grass in her car smelling like mold, her dad, her annoying mother, Victoria, pastries, parking, how margarine is only a couple molecules away from plastic, butter, Wayne coming home soon, all-you-can-eat sushi, Pho, exploding spaghetti squash, the warmer temperature, a Domino's delivery driver in a Mercedes (WEIRD!), and more. While we were at Granville Island, I saw this funny "men aren't allowed to pee while standing up" bathroom sign from Edible Canada Bistro. Being me, I just HAD to buy it! Now it is proudly displayed on my fridge. *grin* We also went to the market, where I bought some green olive bread at the bakery; at the liquor store, I bought a small bottle of honey lager. Vanessa was looking for Mexican Coke with real sugar, but couldn't find any - we declined any fudge, heh.

When I got home in PLENTY OF TIME for my weekly tradition, I checked my email trash folder to see that the lards' South American cruise with Harmony's parents is confirmed in March... guess I'm Grandma-sitting! Barry called me by mistake; then I was looking for Mom, but Dad answered the phone to say she was working. He warned me about Grandma bugging me all the time, her not being able to use the microwave or communicate with Valerie (neighbor), her dangerous forgetting that the oven is on, Auntie Eva, respite, and more. He thinks I shouldn't be too lazy when it comes to helping out with Awana - hey, I couldn't get a ride out, and having free Saturdays has actually been a BOON since September! So basically, he has NO IDEA what he's talking about. :P

Creamy banana gelato, whole-wheat perogies, Healthy Choices, and lobster chips

I've been doing a lot of thinking. In fact, I have too much time to think! Barry picked me up, and we went to Price Smart. I got creamy Dorgel banana gelato, some triple chocolate cake, on-sale Konnyaku noodles, cheesecake, sponges, on-sale Snyder's of Hanover Hot Buffalo Wings pretzel pieces, black pepper-flavored lobster chips, baked Old Dutch ketchup chips, bread (which I got for free), wasabi peanuts (I can't open the square container now?!), an Aero peppermint lamb, on-sale turkey pot pies, and on-sale bananas.

Also purchased microwaveable pancakes / French toast, blueberry mini bagels, shrimp crackers, on-sale Astro yogurt x2, Koala Springs drinks (raspberry and guava / orange and mango), on-sale apple juice / wildberry juice / orange juice, frozen veggies, ice cream, shampoo / conditioner (PERT!), whole-wheat Cheemo perogies, and more. Saw some on-sale cream crackers and cookie egg rolls, but figured they wouldn't be worth it if I couldn't open the containers! (the bane of my existence...) When I saw that Healthy Choices steamed microwaveable meals were on sale, I had to get a whole bunch! Cajun chicken and shrimp, Grilled Chicken Red Pepper Alfredo, Lemon Garlic chicken and shrimp, Sweet Sesame Chicken, Beef Merlot, Grilled Basil Chicken, Beef Teriyaki, Grilled Chicken Marinara, and Grilled Balsamic Chicken were my choices!

CHINESE ERIC TONIGHT! / OH MY PORK!

Tried calling Chinese Eric, with no answer... that's fine since he called me back and said he'd give me a lift at about 5:30! As long as he eats at home first (thus watching everyone else eat in the food court before MissionsFest), this should be AWESOME! Also called Barry to set up a food shopping appointment; Monday at noon sounds okay if I can get up in time, haha. White Eric called later, presumably to see what I was doing tonight; since I was in the middle of a battle, I didn't pick up. (okay, I never pick up, but anyway!) I left him a message saying I'd be there later, hahaha. Then he called me back, and I said that Eric Ho and I would both be at the food court after he picked me up. I don't care what he thinks, haha!

I had a limited amount of money to buy stuff with (even less because of yesterday's Wal-Mart spree), but I managed to get paper bags / seasonal peppermint Island Farms ice cream / bananas / Chinese sausage / baby wipes (I'll accumulate stuff for any baby shower Harmony might have!) / spicy tomato juice / peach yogurt / chocolate almond milk when Barry picked me up. Actually, I spent less money today than last night - go figure! When I got home, I noticed a call from a blocked number, so I thought Chinese Eric might have called me. According to his mom, he was at the doctor's - sure, calling later will be FINE! I called Jon later, who says he and Harmony are moving on Sunday after church since the inspection was yesterday - I'll just give them more crap to move, hahaha. (talked to Teunis on MSN about Jasmine - WHO SHOULD GET A LIFE AND STOP READING MY POSTS! - and other things, too)

Illinois Christmas cards - WTF?! / Taboo discussion

Got Dawn and Eni's wedding invitation in the mail, along with a weird Christmas card from Illinois - WTF? Called Barry to set up a shopping appointment; my poor sleep schedule is going to suffer if it's at 11 on Friday, but at least the weekly tradition will be a go! I also called Jon, who said that he'd be at church on Sunday; now I actually have a REASON to go (besides giving stuff away to the kids and wearing my Santa hat while I do it), so my sleep schedule will suffer on Saturday, too! Hmm... should I just stay up a lot this weekend?!

Talked to Teunis a bit on MSN - apparently, Jasmine cut him off because my names list put her at risk. Somehow, I don't think that's the case even if she is / was suicidal! At least the Canucks played the Blue Jackets today, but lost 2-1 in a shootout just now. Also talked to Corey via Skype messages for a while, too. He says he got home on Saturday, so that's good news. :D

I saw on-sale Breyer's peanut butter and jelly ice cream today, but didn't buy it since I was concerned about how it would taste. But I did get on-sale Jam-Packed Turtles ice cream, on-sale Breyer's chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, Olympic Greek yogurt x2, St. Ives Exfoliating Apricot body wash, St. Ives Refreshing Citrus body wash, store brand Sidekicks (Butter and Herb / Parmesan x2 / Sour Cream and Chives / Fettuccine Alfredo x2), on-sale eggs (in case I make hot and sour soup noodles this month), and beef / turkey / chicken pot pies. Also got spreadable butter (which was HELL to find), on-sale Hungry Man microwaveable meals (Salisbury Steak x2 / Turkey x2), chicken / beef / vegetable / spicy chicken noodles, on-sale Cadbury 50-count fun size chocolate bars in a box x2 (Mr. Big / Wunderbar / Caramilk / Crispy Crunch), Irish stew, mushroom pieces, gravy and meatballs, and chicken stew.

Decided to get on-sale Reese's peanut butter cups, on-sale Oh! Henry, on-sale Maynard's Swedish Berries for Hien (all 12-count bags), on-sale Clamato x2, Ego mangosteen Chinese pudding, almond milk, and soy milk in regular flavor. Got home and discovered that Janina had mailed me a Halloween card with interesting stickers: "Where do vampires eat their lunch? At the casket-teria! [cafeteria] Ha ha!" Then Hien said I shouldn't buy her stuff, even if Superstore and Walmart were sold out; says she'll try Zellers next, but I'll still keep the candy just in case! Vanessa also sent me a FB message saying that she didn't think she could make it to Granville Island tomorrow; considering I thought that was last week, it's no big deal to me!

Jamie and Game Boys (dream) / MOTHER 3, Mandy, Chinese Eric, James, and brains

Found a working version of MOTHER 3 with translation patch, so I'm playing that! Talked to James briefly on YM last night; always good! Shortly afterwards, Chinese Eric tried calling me, then got on MSN instead - MUCH BETTER! I updated him on everything, which included Paul being a complete and utter ASSHOLE! Of course Eric agreed with me that he had issues, and doubted the "non-believer" assertion! If he's up for it, we should definitely hang out on Saturday! Also emailed Mandy back when it showed up in my inbox at 2:30 AM, as opposed to when I got up and would need to update myself with everything else first, haha. :D

Went to sleep and had a dream where I was trying to read ANNE OF GREEN GABLES books on a Game Boy, and recommended it to Jamie (jaebird) - she tried it, and said it didn't work. Instead, she was going to buy me a totally NEW Game Boy for reading books! I was very surprised and said she didn't have to, but she insisted. Interesting! When I got up at 11:20, I called Barry to set up a time for food shopping: next Tuesday at 2 works well from the "discounted Halloween candy" standpoint, for sure! Hopefully, I'll be up by then!

The electricity gave me some annoyance today, too - it went out for a bit after I microwaved something! MY INTERNET! Barry picked me up at 12:50, right when I was about to eat lunch (WASTE OF FOOD AND BEING RUSHED - I HATE BOTH!) and process the demise of the HST! YOU DON'T DO THAT! Nice summer weather, though... won't have much time to game before FFAF, but at least I won't have to be bored out of my tree tonight like I was LAST WEEK! And now I finally get to eat! :D

STICKY SUBSTANCES ON BATHROOM READERS?! / The Park Test

I asked Billie whether she'll be free on the 14th, and it looks like she will be after work - sweet! Ryan buzzed me on Facebook chat about spelling mistakes; poor guy! Later, I found a sticky substance (no idea what) in my Roots knapsack / on my PLUNGES INTO HISTORY AGAIN Bathroom Reader; EWWWWWWW! I'll have to buy the book again, though maybe not the knapsack! I had to throw out almost the entire contents (plus the knapsack itself), since I'm too lazy to wash it or whatever! (saved pens / whiteout / hand sanitizer / a calculator / hand cream) Good thing it's raining today, since I got more sleep than yesterday's gong show!

Kenny just called me on Skype briefly about LEAGUE OF LEGENDS and other things, haha. Called Hester since she'd called me - seems she's always calling from a really metallic place! She says that someone will be by to do something about mousetraps tomorrow afternoon at 1 or 1:30; we'll see how THAT goes since I'm cynical about it! Then I called Barry to finally set up an appointment... Friday at 1:30 sounds the best for my sleep schedule, since he originally wanted Thursday at 10:30! With the way things have been going lately, that wouldn't have worked out! Must bank and get stuff from the dollar store first - perhaps on Wednesday before the party.

Called Barry, only to be told that we'd have to set up an appointment next week - FINE, THEN! Levelled up my EARTHBOUND characters the cheap way by going into a just-vanquished area and getting automatic wins against wimpy enemies, then called Hester about the mouse problem. She gave me one mousetrap; gee, thanks... I also need to buy a lot of funny birthday greeting cards from the dollar store!

Eric then called me when I was busy trying to catch up on stuff as per the usual; after delaying him for some time, I finally went out to go to Fellowship, but I complained about it AND religious guys / greeting cards. Since I alternated this with laughing about "fish tacos," he thought I was drunk. I was bored all through Bible Study and wanted it to end, but the "... in the name of the Lord, I cut them off!" part of the Bible passage from Mark was funny! Heard that Martin's sister has throat cancer, Vivian's cousin is in the hospital, Carmen's going to London for two weeks in September, Eric's census work is over, Cindy's stressed because of her two-week grad program, and that Martin himself wants Christon and Kevin to be in charge of food at his and Phyllis' wedding. Since Phyllis is the person who thought the earthquake wasn't caused by tectonic plates, I really don't like her. (exact quote: "The earthquake MUST be a sign of Christ coming, and the end times!")

Talked to Deb and Harmony briefly: Jon's at a wedding, and we should get together before Deb's baby comes! Eric took his sweet time leaving, as usual - he, Christon, Raymond, Kevin, and Randal HAD to talk about the retreat next week and Geoffrey. FREE TIME FOR ME! On the way home, Eric tried convincing me that I should call Ivan next week, but I don't think so - I like my gaming time too much! He also thinks that I'd go for a super-religious guy if he were cute / like Dave Wong / had dreadlocks... yeah, right! (we also discussed STARCRAFT and PORN) People's plans and priorities change, I told him when he tried saying that my Friday plans for years DID consist of Fellowship! Now, I don't care! At home, Eric H. tried a video call... not gonna happen!

Barry picked me up early, and we were off to Price Smart / Save-On Foods. I bought half-price bottled water (30 bottles!), a cocktail-size version of pumpernickel bread, three dark green bath poufs, pads, bananas, on-sale chicken / beef / turkey pot pies (ten for $10 instead of $15), couscous to try, chicken and wild rice / chicken and rotini / minestrone / clam chowder soups, Chinese sausage x2, on-sale cherries, Golden Double Stuffed Oreo (NEW!), and tapioca pudding. Also decided to get extra cash, dill Philadelphia cream cheese, mango cheesecake (Teunis seemed to like that idea to mark transitions), jalapeno and cheddar / sea salt and malt vinegar Old Dutch chips, Greek Olympic yogurt, on-sale Sunlight apple juice / wildberry juice, on-sale coconut milk x2, and Voortman gingerbread cookies. When I got home, I paid my Shaw bill and destroyed my old debit card by cutting it up. While putting things away, I discovered three 100g chocolate bars in the fridge that I'd forgotten about - SWEET!

I called Eric to see if I'd risk another faceplant if I went to the Wednesday block party today; he says we're not going to that place, and that there's no ice today. It wasn't ice that caused me to embarrass myself in front of Randal and others at Jon's surprise party in November; IT WAS THE STEEP STEPS! He was making food (I could hear dishes clanging in the background), and wondered if I'd go. I told him that it was something to do; what I didn't tell him was that it would be better than refreshing LJ to get a white page almost constantly, haha. I can always do some banking tomorrow - and it better be ONLY banking, oh my! If he calls around 4:30 or so, I should be good to go. Turns out Safari works on LJ for now... :D

No crisis of faith here! / Boiling water and wrong burners

ONE WEEK TO GO.

Eric got on MSN this afternoon to tell me that I had to be out by 6:50 - the program's too religious, I told him. Yes, I am well aware it's at church. Besides, after that dinner last night, I need some more downtime... crisis of faith, my ass! I had to get stuff done before 3:45 and the FREE FOR ALL FRIDAY, hahaha! While I was online, I told him that I wouldn't be going to Jeremy's on Sunday since I won't win all the games. Eventually, I just exited Trillian - conversation isn't welcome today when I'm in my zone of busywork!

Called Barry to make a Wednesday appointment for food shopping at 1, who said something about a Dave Bland memorial baseball game - ah yes, I remember he was stabbed to death two days before retirement in 2005 by a crazy nutjob! Then I turned the wrong burner on when I was trying to make hot and sour soup with noodles, and luckily noticed it a few minutes later - good job, NOT! (and I was wondering why it took the water so long to boil...)
