OOPS files / Falshion as Pegasus

Amanda R. added me to Facebook; I know her as zuridea, of course. Talked to Talia on AIM briefly last night, too. SNES9x seems to work so far... *fingers crossed*

What the heck is an OOPS file?! I found it mildly amusing, anyway!

Of COURSE our wild horse Falshion is the legendary Pegasus in Reidock town! Considering what happens WAY later on in the game in the Pegasus Tower (which I've only heard about), this has to be true!

August 2012 BBT Tally / CHINESE ERIC / Panties!

I called Chinese Eric at 12:30 since I thought he'd called me, but "BLOCKED CALL" could mean anything! At least he answered the phone, and we had a good brief convo which made me feel better! I said that I'd seen Nathan TWICE already while he's been in town, and Eric wondered what was up with that guy since he never responded to his calls or emails! Nate IS a busy guy, with family dinners and work and who knows what else! I relayed the FAT DRAGON on MONDAY message from Jon to Eric, who said he'd have to see since the family friends STILL aren't out of town yet, but they DID just get back from the States! Says he'll call me on Saturday or Sunday to figure stuff out, which DEFINITELY sounds TERRIFIC! :D

Went to Sears at 2:05 to get some dark on-sale Jessica IMAGE panties, too. Also got Jessica knee socks, at three for $10. While I was at the mall, some East Indian kid smiled at me; he couldn't have been more than maybe nine or ten. Cute! Had to purchase some Always pads at Shoppers, and a watermelon bubble tea at Big Orange. I then thought of getting some cheap blank cards, but London Drugs / the dollar store / Shoppers didn't have them. Hallmark Cards had a 99ยข card section, but there were no blank cards. After scrounging through the "Thinking of You" subsection, I found one design that would be suitable for a baptism card application if ever I needed it, so I got the last eleven on the shelf. ("Sending you warm thoughts to brighten your day and lighten your heart" works! :P The "congratulations" cards almost never work if you want to use them for a non-Easter baptism!) I also found some seriously on-sale BUG 'EM! bees and ladybugs there (from $7.95 to $1.95?!), so got the last ladybug for myself, and a bee for white Eric's birthday which is next week. Yeah, they're more suitable for kids, but whatever works! Managed to cram everything into my purse (minus the garbage), and got home by 3:40!

Speaking of white Eric, he just called to see if I were going to the board games night: NO! I need my privacy! Also, I took the opportunity to rant to him about Randal's presumptuous emails. I don't want to hear anything more about SETTLERS OF CATAN or a guys' night out! JFC, people. I'm about to go back to the weekly tradition!

Olympics, science, reality TV, and Grandma pictures

Managed to get my Internet router back by noticing a blue light which was OFF on my laptop - Andrew said that I'd done the right thing if it was working! I noticed that Chinese Eric had called me, so I returned the call only to have Auntie tell me that he was sleeping since the hot weather makes him tired. Yes, I do understand that! He called me back at 5:45, and it was AWESOME as usual! Discussed life updates, his finally catching up on all the email updates, hot weather with HEAT, my not interacting much with Carol and Stuart, the Olympics, the limits of the human body, running, AirCare not being around anymore, the government, fans, reality TV, SURVIVOR, AMERICAN IDOL, WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, TLC, HOARDERS, WHEEL OF FORTUNE, and JEOPARDY. Also talked about whether Nathan's coming back this month (I can check that on Facebook!), possibly having a regular hangout from 8-10 PM before his birthday (he hasn't thought that far ahead yet - he knows me, though!), water polo taking a LOT of work, chips, salsa, volleyball, the Olympic Village and sex ("we're all human beings"), his spending time with HIS grandma, helping his dad do some stuff in the morning (SO HOT!), maybe having bubble tea with Jon at his place, a kiddy game called CRAZY CHICKEN, those Tamagotchi pets, and more. It was pretty cool, as usual. :D

Mom emailed us some pictures of Grandma and family...

Here's Cousin Yvonne and me with Grandma in the hospital. I hadn't seen Yvonne in years, so it was nice to see her again. I just wish it were under better circumstances...

Big appetites! / Bugerror Rosemary / July 2012 BBT Tally

A while after returning home, I went to Big Orange to have a blueberry bubble tea.

Foods vendor in the Reindeer department store, where the party has gone to buy bread (for Crumbs to track their progress) before tackling the Rosemary Manor in Halloween: "You know, you look like you have a big appetite." Gee thanks, lady! *sarcasm*

After you go through Rosemary Manor, this kid is renamed after you: "My name is NINTEN. It used to be Bugerror Rosemary, though." His mother calls you a brave boy, heh.

Shrimp tacos, eating ATM card, Pretzel Crisps

I watched a movie called IN HER MOTHER'S FOOTSTEPS this afternoon - wow! Then I went out to haul a bunch of stuff home and do some banking before I met Chrystal at London Drugs. We had dinner at Boston Pizza; I had new shrimp tacos (Jamie and her friends put the idea in my head yesterday!), and she had her usual salad. Discussed Ayler not wanting people to leave him alone, heavy tanks, movies, Andrea's pregnancy, the nice weather, the Olympics, Nathan, my keeping in touch with people, friends, Micah, gelato, and more. When we went to the gelato place later, she had pink grapefruit sorbetto, and I had cappuccino cookie. After we went to the bakery (where I got a pineapple bun), we hit up Shoppers Drug Mart. I bought lobster noodles, kimchi noodles, six $1 Sidekicks since the sale expires in two days (Tomato Alfredo x2 / Garlic Alfredo Spaghetti x2 / Butter and Herb / Homestyle Cheddar), on-sale original Pretzel Crisps, and more. Decided not to get scones or Oreo Cakesters; Chrystal decided not to get any cookies or marshmallows since she had plenty at home. When I got back to the townhouse, I noted that C.J. of the Puckheads had added me. Also paid my Internet bill since I am responsible!

But Ninten WANTS to eat his ATM card in MOTHER 1... :(

Piano virtuoso / Female Chocobo / June 2012 BBT Tally

Went to the pharmacy to get something; damn, I hope this works!

After playing seven of the eight FINAL FANTASY V pianos, you are a virtuoso! (this is in the town of Moore - in the pub - playing Mozart's ALLA TURCA, which is quite famous)

No, we can't ride a female chocobo in the chocobo forest!

DRAGON WARRIOR Tantegel / May 2012 BBT Tally

DRAGON WARRIOR: You've reached level three, and your efforts have been rewarded with the Heal spell! This is by far the best spell in the game. You will cast it more than any other spell, and it will save your life more times than you can count. To use the spell, wait until you've taken some damage, and select Spells from the menu, and select Heal. You will lose 4 magic points, but you will gain 10-15 hit points. Plus, as an added bonus, there is a way to avoid spending money at the inn for a while. When you were talking with the people in Tantegel castle, you came across an old man behind a counter, who said something about the descendants of Erdrick, but didn't do anything. Now that you have magic points, (five of them to be exact) you can go get them filled for free! Talk to the old man, and he will fill up your magic points. The old man plus lots of heal spells equals full hit points and magic points for free! The added bonus to this is that the old man is in the castle, the same place where you need to save the game. So now that you know how to get mucho free life, you can fight more powerful enemies. Remember the cave entrance in the small desert? Well, right around it, you will be able to fight Ghosts, who give more gold and experience than Slimes and Drakees. You might also run into a Magician, but run from them if you do. You're still too weak to fight them. When you feel adventurous, go inside of the cave. You'll first notice that the entire place is dark. The torch you got from King Lorik could be of great use right now. Luckily, this cave is under a protective spell, and no enemies reside in it. Look around until you find the stairs down, then on the second floor, look for a treasure chest. When you find it, take it... you will find an old tablet. Upon reading the tablet, you will find out that you are a descendant of Erdrick. Well, hot dog! If you don't have the Leather Armor by now, you should be able to afford it, so go and get it. If you already have Leather Armor, you might want to pick up a Dragon Scale as well.

Milk for adults, beer for babies! / April Bubble Tea Tally / Finished DRAGON QUEST V

Today, I had to unfriend Leonard because he keeps on adding me to hockey groups without my permission. I finally beat Mildrath and finished DRAGON QUEST V (which took me a couple of weeks to play) tonight at 6:30! SO GLAD! I did get chills when the main character's parents reunited in Heaven. Now, I may go back to FINAL FANTASY...

Imagine if this Salabona sign were flipped around to read "Milk for adults - beer for babies!"

Google Maps, DRAGON WARRIOR, March 2012 BBT Tally

Harmony emailed me last night to thank me for my generous gifts of the toys, sippy cup, and baby wipes; she also thanked me for coming out to the baby shower, since she and Jane had had fun! I'm sure she can use the things I gave her, hopefully! Eric tried calling me when I was in the shower, but resorted to MSN: there's been a delay, and he figures it might be best if we cancel. If he calls me later, we're still on. Sounds good to me, and I'll definitely be thinking of him! Matt shared a funny DRAGON WARRIOR / Google Maps video with me - he isn't sure it's NOT an April Fool's joke, but it made me laugh!

Valerie scaring me, protectiveness, and good friends

Talked to James for a while, which is a pretty good thing... yes, I can get protective of my friends! Also started up a new FB message exchange with Ryan; I did tell him a couple nights ago that I'd talk to him "soon," so this is good enough! The wall post and comment exchange was something I needed to feel loved by a good friend. :D

Valerie came in at 5 since Mom wrote her a note saying to water the plants, and scared me! She apologized, and returned the house key to me. I told her that my brother and I had been taking care of watering the plants, that my grandma was coming home on Sunday, and that my parents were coming home the next day. Yes, they've been emailing us when they can, and seem to be having a good time! I checked the mail before doing laundry again, and Jon got something; I'll keep it for Sunday, I guess.

Zapping / February 2012 BBT Tally / Flaming Wok / Strawberry Melon

For some reason, I had the national anthem stuck in my head for a short time. I decided that a Bourbon chicken / mixed vegetables / Szechuan beef / noodles takeout meal from Flaming Wok would be better for my budget than steak, and also got a blueberry bubble tea from Big Orange. Then I discovered a hole in my Winners bag; guess I'll have to go to Lansdowne when it's not threatening to snow, and get a bunch more! Got on-sale Lindt chocolate hearts, a strawberry melon Brisk drink, on-sale candy conversation hearts for Steph and Lisa, more rice crackers, Turkey Bacon Club / Chicken Cheddar Broccoli Bistro Crustinis, on-sale Russell Stover mini milk chocolate bunnies for the Toddler Sunday School kids (and one for me), and almond milk from London Drugs.

Had to deal with a spill when I got home, which I think might necessitate a new garbage can! Checked my mail, and got a Valentine's Day card / Care Bear stickers / heart stickers from Janina. That cheered me up! Also talked to Corey briefly about sushi and his zapping me; just because I started the convo with "BZT!" doesn't mean I need to be zapped! Silly person! :D

January 2012 BBT Tally / Palindromic ages, rent, health, and tripe

Replied to something Jon emailed me regarding rent, subsidy, and mental health... he says it sounds good, so that's fine. Called Steph to reserve my place at the Palindromic Age Birthday Dinner on the 18th for her and Grandma - 29 and 92! Paid my phone bill, and was responsible! HAHAHA! Vanessa got on MSN to advise me of her upcoming schedule; she wants to do Granville Island / that Broadway bakery / wonton for lunch (TRIPE AND FUNGUS!) on Friday. Updated her on health stuff, too. She wants to try some Hong Kong-style cafรฉ place called the Silver Tower (by Matsuyama, with shitty parking!) on Alexandra Rd. when she's here; I've never heard of it. Also listened to an intense hockey game... the Canucks ended up winning 3-2 in overtime, thanks to Daniel Sedin's record-setting tenth OT goal. :D

This video (2:10 to 2:25) finally helped me find the rock I had to hop over for FINAL FANTASY VI ADVANCE. Now I can finally defeat the Kaiser Dragon, and hopefully make it to the Soul Shrine!

Echo Terra / Page 45 / My 2012 sex life!

Pick up the nearest book to you. Turn to page 45. The first sentence describes your sex life in 2012: "On the way home, we made sure our lanterns were brightly lit, so our ancestors' spirits could see clearly the road ahead." Okay, then...

Brandi stole the above meme from me, and her friend Echo Terra thought it was so funny that she added me - yeah, she's also a Canucks fan from Burnaby, so that helps!

Friday the 13th, blue screens of death, "true love" quote

Today is one of three Friday the 13ths this year! Oh boy...

I got the dreaded BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH for the FIRST time on this laptop last night! Hope it's not dying already... o_O

Here's a quote I want to remember: "When someone really loves you, they will accept you for who you are with your flaws and all, and will still want you in their life. This is not to say that they won't push you to be a better person, and to think bigger, and dream bigger than you already do, but they will never disrespect you or want to change the person that you are at heart as well."

I don't believe you're dying, not even for a second...

2012 wasn't even that old when it decided to provide me with some laughs! Eric sent me this email at 1:37 AM:

Hello Leslie,
Korey has received some bad news regarding his health. He has asked me to pass on an email of thanks and apology to you. Feel free to read it or do whatever you like with this email. I will keep it on hand.

Eric

Hi Leslie,

I am writing you this email to let you know I am very sorry. I am dying Leslie. Doc says I have less then 6 months left to live, maybe less than that he is saying. I got a second opinion so I know it going to happen. I want to apologize for ever hurting you or making you cry. I am sorry I wasn't the man you wanted me to be. I love you Leslie, you're a good person. You were a big part of my life and when I die piece of my heart will I am thankful you took good care of me and you loved me. I remember the first time we met and our first date. Leslie thank you for being in my life. No tears, you should be proud of yourself and your character.

Live, Laugh, Love
Kor.

My reply:

Hey, Eric. Are you sure he's not trying to manipulate us again into 27 different levels of hell?! "When I die piece of my heart will" - uh yeah, I'm pretty sure more than a piece of your heart will die if YOU actually do go into the grave, buddy! I kinda get what he's trying to say, but I really don't know. Can you personally verify this using another source other than him?

Tears? As a mark of respect for you, Eric, you don't want to know what the tears would be! Yes, I know I am a snarky disillusioned bitch or whatever, but for your sake, don't ask. As for thanking me for being in his life, I have not been in that dubious position for FOUR YEARS! He should be telling that to YOU if what he says is even true.

Sorry, but I require a death certificate... preferably a non-faked one! Or maybe that's just me being morbid. Who knows. I choose not to believe this email until you can verify it using a secondary source. You, I trust. Him, not so much.

I posted this to ONTD, and they provided me with support for staying cold and distant. My FB statuses: "I don't know what to do with this email that just arrived in my inbox. Part of me wants to laugh my head off (almost typed "heads" - I AM NOT MEDUSA!!!), and part of me just doesn't care. Oh well.... GOOD RIDDANCE, 2011. Will NOT miss you in any way, shape, or form! Bring on 2012 - THE YEAR OF THE FIRE DRAGON!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY YEAR!!!!!!!!!!" and "I have decided on a reaction: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! If your goal was to get me to think of you, congratulations. You did succeed, but not in the way you imagine. My Internet support network and I are all laughing at your miserable pathetic attempts to get me to sympathize with your 'health problems.' I will still NOT be contacting you."

2012 is here! / James, Tsui Woo, and a 4-1 loss

HAPPY 2012, YOU SEXY BITCHES! :D

Noticed that Trevor and Noah unfriended me OR deleted their profiles on Facebook; FINE, THEN! Talked to James via YM for a while until the hockey game was on... YAY! Mom called to insist I send Chinese Eric an email about the changed lunch plans for tomorrow; Pho instead of Tsui Woo does work diet-wise for white Eric, I'm sure. Alan apparently has other friends in town, heh. Well, I'm pretty sure he's not coming! Replied to Mandy's emails, too. Listened to a 4-1 loss to the Kings, as well. At least I had something to do!

Cutting off contact is reality?! / STUPID ASSES!

Stayed up all night since I couldn't sleep; probably not the best idea! I managed to cram all the Advent calendars, chocolate, candy, brandy beans, massive Reese's peanut butter cups, and candy canes for Jon / Steph / Lisa / Harmony / Julie C. / James / Brandon / Rachel / Jonathan / Ashley / Ramen / Mattias / Shira / David / Evelyn / Anastasia in my bag before I left, but it was pretty crammed! Turns out that only half of the children (Ramen / Shira / Anastasia / Ashley / Rachel / Jonathan / Ashley) were here today, along with new kids (cousins?) named Isabel / Wesley / Martin. Eric and I talked about last night, impersonating an annoying NPC named Navi from LINK, traffic, his family's presents to mine, my sleep issues, hockey, CLAYMATION CHRISTMAS, addresses, and more on the way to church.

I made him carry my (heavy) stuff inside because the ground was gross from the rain! At church, I immediately noticed Mr. Creep in the back row of the section next to me, so vowed not to look that way. Talked to Nathan W. for a bit about his book and peanut / hazelnut allergies, then Jon and I exchanged plastic bags of stuff. I got candy bats (which I'll probably give away), Reese's peanut butter cups, a colorful orange sweater, green pants (am I a PUMPKIN?!), and some other stuff. Eric gave me some Canucks mittens; SWEET! Gave Jeremy a Christmas card, of course!

After service, I said hi to baby Micah (who wanted to play the guitar and drums), Sam (back because of Winter Con and other things!), Sabrina (whose niece loved my bling sweater - she'll have a sibling soon?!), Calla, Gavin, Lily, Hannah L., Adam, Grace, Phil, Uncle Peter, and others. Couldn't find Julie, unfortunately! Dad said Mom was in the sound room, so I asked her if Chinese Eric could come to Boxing Day dinner; she said yes, so I'm going to tell him that later. PHEW! Since I was getting tired of dodging Paul all the time, I went upstairs early... excused myself to Jessie as "BUSY!" and talked to Lanie about awkward family dinners during the holidays. After Sunday School, Eric said that he was driving Paul to help Jon and Harmony move - the poor guy quickly found out why that was a bad idea, after he asked me why I only spoiled half the children today!

Paul thought I didn't KNOW that Eric was moving the car so I could get in: OF COURSE I KNEW THAT! Then he called me a bitch who put bleach on his clothing: for all I know, he did it himself! When he told me not to give him any more "lip," I lost it - HE BETTER NOT EVEN START WITH THE INSULTS! It was a tense and mostly silent car ride over to the old place, with his accusing me of banging his knee with my seat. I'm sure it might have bothered him, but it probably hurt less than what he might have gotten into in prison! Then he said that I closed the car door on his leg while I got out of the car: hey, it wouldn't have happened if Mr. Grade A Asshole had taken Eric's side to get out!

Steph answered the door; I quickly got away from Paul, and busied myself talking to Jeremy, Randal, and Nathan. We talked about Korean BBQ, Chinese Eric, bread, De Dutch Pannekoek House, menthol cigarettes, smoking, tagging in FB pictures, Twitter, spending too much time on social networking, how Nathan met Ciel ("a modern Internet love story"), my sleep issues, Ciel coming on the 23rd, brunch offers, FINAL FANTASY, the new place maybe being bigger, Gold Bond body lotion (the REAL source of the "menthol" status!), and more. Randal said I actually looked pretty alert; my response was that I didn't know how I was standing and talking to them in the kitchen! I helped move a few bags and the violin, which Jon said he appreciated. On the way home, Eric and I discussed what happened earlier with me and Paul, 2012 being the YEAR OF NO HOUSEGUESTS (even if Matt comes to Vancouver... WE ARE JUST ONLINE FRIENDS!), Saturday's Xmas Eve service, Friday's weekly tradition, and more.

A while later, he popped up on MSN to tell me to go to bed - yeah, but I had to blog it all out! He thought that I should be tired by now, and we both let past issues affect us... maybe, maybe not. I know I made a list of what to tell Chinese Eric, in case I forget! Then I found out that Teunis did what he threatened to do in the summer (cut off contact), because of harassment about the Jasmine thing - sigh. He hopes to hear from me again, but we'll see... I'll have to do the photo UNTAG thing later!

Starbucks hot chocolate, Kayone, toilet dungeons, Randal, Corey, and 2012 bus pass

Randal FINALLY re-friended me on Facebook, after I thought he was lying to me... I wouldn't have blamed him, though! Maybe the dude's been busy, I don't know. Whatever. I also almost forgot Corey's March birthday card... good thing I remembered before he came home for Xmas, or even before he went back to Taiwan!

My 2012 bus pass finally came in the mail - blue is a much better color than pink! I actually found the rest of the shoelaces I bought at the Kingsgate Mall dollar store that time when I was enroute to Jeremy's, so YAY! "Kayone Ziaian" wanted to add me to Facebook because of EARTHBOUND and MOTHER 3; hahaha, why not? I also called Steph, who also begrudgingly agreed to give me a ride on Thursday to wherever dinner ends up being. She KNOWS how I feel about the parents, so I'm not going to go to their place if I can help it! Too bad my favorite people can't be there. *sigh*
