Replied to Mandy's email when I wanted to go to bed, AS USUAL! At least I've finished prepping most of my Christmas cards, even if I won't have time to mail them till tomorrow! Called Chrystal at work (as I tried to do yesterday) to tell her the news about Harmony - we're getting together on Dec. 1 (Thursday) before my family dinner! Went to visit Cat, and had a good time! 1851 - Millie and Christine McCoy, (North Carolina, July 11 1851 to October 12 1912) were pygopagus twins, the heart was on the left side in one, and the right side in the other.
2003 - Unidentified (Papua New Guinea, October 12 2003). One twin with situs inversus of the heart. They died October 21 2003 of pneumonia.

Oldest Conjoined Male Twins (Deceased)
63 years old - Chang & Eng Bunker (Thailand, May 11 1811). They passed away within 3 hours of each on January 7 1874.
63 years old - Giacomo and Giovanni Battista Tocci (Italy, 1877).

1689 - Unidentified (Switzerland) Female twins joined by a ligament only 12 centimeters wide. Doctors separated the twins, and both lived.
1952 - Unidentified (Ohio) Joined at the sternum. Separated December 14 1952 by Dr. Jac S. Geller at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
1953 - Carolyn and Catherine Mouton (Louisiana) (pygopagus).
1970 - Anna and Barbara Rozycki (England). They were omphalopagus. Both are alive and well and continue to live in England.
1970s - Andrew & Grant Priestley (Australia). The first to be successfully separated in Australia.
1979 - Chang Chun-yi and Chang Chun-jen (China). They were separated at 25 months old. They were parapagus twins, sharing 3 legs.

Oldest Separation
11 years old - Gita and Zita Rezakhanov (Kyrgyzstan, 1992). They were ischiopagus tripus twins, and separated April 2 2003 in Russia. Both survive.
7 years old - Viet and Duc Nguygen (Vietnam, February 25 1981). Separated October 4 1988. Both survive.
6 years old - Giuseppina and Santina Foglia of (Italy). They were pygopagus.

Ladan and Laleh Bijani (Iran) attempted separation in July 2003 at age 28, but both died.

45 mins - Zainab and Jannat Rahman (England?) Separated at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital on January 30 2003. They were omphalopagus sharing a liver. Both survive.

Conjoined Triplets
All conjoined - I could only find two cases.

Unidentified (Sicily, Italy, 1834) 3 boys born with a single torso, two hearts, two stomachs, two lungs, and three heads. The case was profiled in Gould & Pyle's Curiosities of Medicine.

Unidentified (Samsun, Turkey, 1955?) Three heads, two pairs of arms, two pairs of legs; lived for 2 hours. On autopsy... four lungs, three livers, three brains, two hearts, and two kidneys were found. Information appeared in Sexology Magazine in 1955; they cited the Journal of the American Medical Association for the information.

There have been 43 sets of triplets born with 2 conjoined. Only 6 of those sets have all three surviving, 17 sets I have no stats on, and the rest had one or both conjoined babies die.

Conjoined Quadruplets
1953 - Totsaas (Norway, September 5 1953) Two of the babies were conjoined, and died at birth.

Teunis and I discussed feelings, EVIL tomatoes, diabetes, food sensitivity, storage, server failure damage being analogous to a library burning down, spare keys, depression, showering, dance class / rush hour, waitress abuse, relationships, being different, clothing, and more. I went out to see if I could find replacement dark shorts at Sears or the mall in general, since REDRUM happened to my white ones - Sears had nothing in my size / price range / preferred color! Decided to go to Aeropostale for some reason, and felt a tap on my shoulder - lo and behold, it was Josephine Uy from Palmer! She said her siblings Patrick, Jennifer, and Ryan are all married now - she was there with her mom. I commiserated with her on feeling old, since my brother was married too!

Went to the Bay, the Gap, Bluenotes (where Steph and I went with Terrence), Old Navy, American Eagle, GARAGE (size ZERO?!), West 49th, and more. Discovered that Hallmark Cards had moved, too! Finally, I went to Roots to discover that their shorts WERE on sale - they only had one suitable pair, but I bought it. Then I went to Coast Mountain Sports / Atmosphere, where they were having a MASSIVE CLEARANCE EVENT. Finally found some shorts which weren't $60 each - they were actually $20! NICE! Went home and took a shower before doing laundry. Called Steph, who's going to the New Pornographers concert tonight - as long as she doesn't tell Dad, who would be scandalized as he was with Jon's ROLLING STONE once - "Hmph! What kind of stuff is your brother reading?!" Told her that she shouldn't slap my butt this weekend, and also that I had bought short shorts - yup, that freaked her out! Talked about Justin asking Hon if Eva tasted good (there are some things you shouldn't ask...), Eric thinking he isn't crazy, Sean planning karaoke and telling Brian to pretend he was driving home on a night where Hansel and Cathy lectured us about going to Fellowship JUST to do stuff later (they're not THAT dumb!), Mom checking her email RIGHT AFTER cataract surgery, cataracts being a film over your eyes, it not being a good idea to remove floaters, and other things. Eric called me earlier than I thought he would (at about 10), so I had just enough time to change and cram a piece of bread in my mouth to tide me over till the reception. As I thought (and as he said), I failed at being discreet when I told him what I'd done yesterday. He had spent his night trying to play WORLD OF WARCRAFT, but the server was apparently having issues, so he did something else instead. Of course, he said he'd tell my sister about it, so I told him to make sure my mother was nowhere nearby. However, he knows that what he tells Steph about that WILL get back to Mom! DAMN! He had to sing the DARKWING DUCK theme - I was impervious to it today for some reason, however. When I told him in general terms what Dave and I had done yesterday, he thought that "Twinkle" sounded shady. I said that there wasn't anything more to it, and by "anything more," I meant something salacious... NOT conversational substance! (would have taken me too long to tell him all that - I'm sure he doesn't really care, anyhow)

We got to church a little later than we thought we would (darn traffic), and the sanctuary was already kinda full. The wedding started half an hour late, and I had to sit very near Eric due to the crowded conditions! He joked that Chuck WAS a doctor, so he could be even later with his own wedding - so true! We sat by Rick, Vivian's family, and others... I saw Auntie Teresa at the end of the pew, and resolved not to say anything to her. (when I saw Auntie Ying, I didn't say anything to her either!) Saw a whole bunch of kids: Megan, Micah, Isaac, Anne, Olivia, Gabriel, Ian, Connor, and others. Heard Christon laugh a few times from the other end of the sanctuary - oh yes, it's that distinctive! Eric said that he should have left his sunglasses in the car, but had brought them with him - oh well, as long as he had them when we left! He wondered whether I'd like to transit to the new convention centre tonight for the banquet, adding that he could leave his car at the Bridgeport Park n'Ride, and that it was near Waterfront Station - sure, it's smart and avoids parking hassles! As long as he knows where we're going, I think I should be okay like I was yesterday with Dave, haha. Eric will feel weird taking transit in a suit, but figures that businessmen do it all the time.

While we were waiting, he took a bunch of pictures, and observed that Jon could play stuff on the piano and look around the room at the same time. (he said my face was too big, and I said "Excuse me?!" - he said I was far too easy to get a reaction out of - and that I was too close to the camera) Eric wondered whether Jon would play the guitar, piano, and violin - not at the same time... and Dylan and Vanessa were helping him out in any event. Then he wondered how Dylan had managed to lead worship last week, asking if I'd gone to church. I had, and told him that Dylan was on the piano while Christon rounded out the skeleton worship team by leading! I noticed someone with the first name "Chevy" in the program, and also noticed that Megan's name wasn't italicized on the wedding party list! Four bridesmaids, two matrons of honor, and a lot of groomsmen and best men - CROWDED! When the decoration helpers were scattering flower petals down the aisle, Eric thought he heard someone tell them to "stop littering!" - I wouldn't be surprised if it were one of the kids, haha. Steph stopped by our pew to blow me kisses on Harmony's suggestion - AIYA! Things FINALLY got underway at 11:30, by which time some of the kids in the audience were getting restless. By the time things ended, they were REALLY making some noise! We all stayed for group photos later, then made our way to the fellowship hall.

I stuck by Eric, Jeremy, Christon, Isabel, Jon, Wesley, Harmony, Quan, Jessica, Lanie, Johnny, Dianne, Steph, and others. When I told Wesley that I'd seen Dave yesterday, he wanted to know what we did, so I told him in general terms - I didn't care if Jon and Harmony were within hearing distance! Then he wondered what Dave's excuse was for not being at church (I saw the post he'd told me about), so I told him - bike issues and drawing aren't impressive enough, apparently! (and I totally understand why Wesley would say that too, haha!) Harmony thanked me for the GOOD HUSBAND / GOOD WIFE books, and said that Jon would make a good housewife according to those, so of course I had to tell Jon to be her housewife! Hahaha! It was a good thing I left my jacket at home since it turned out to be a comparatively hot afternoon, unlike last year at this exact time where it was a little cooler than normal. I asked Harmony whether my mother had decided on a place or time for Monday's dinner - apparently, Burgoo is easy to get to, so I'll look that up later. Steph said that Mom had called it "Boo-Ger" several times yesterday ("they won't like Milestones since it's a chain - do they like that Boo-Ger place?"), and she'd given up correcting her on that after the fourth time. "Never mind!" Hahaha!

Jon went inside and came back, saying that there was plenty of fried chicken and some cheesecake blobs (as Quan called them) left - no, we didn't really want any more. I observed to Jeremy that the "light" lunch was heavy compared to what I'd had for DINNER yesterday! Talked about the wedding rehearsal, a potential LOUD table since all the NGS would be there (Danielle would totally raise the NOISE quotient!), and more! Saw John, Sophia, Elaine, Shally, Jen, Matt, Jeff, Anita, Allison, baby, Citrus (I so wanted to tell him that I saw the Citruso truck yesterday at Coal Harbor - maybe tonight), Danny, Helen K., Nicholas, Cory, Joshua, Keenan, Karen I., Mattias, David Marr, a bunch of the aforementioned kids, Mel, Frances, Winnie, Kenny, Uncle Richard, Auntie Gloria, Joe and Jeanie (just back from their honeymoon), and lots of other people.

Got a chance to personally congratulate Chuck when he went outside, too. Told Mel that his FB status was so cute - his son Micah wanted to imitate Daddy going to work, haha! His other son Isaac was awake, and it's the first time I've seen him NOT asleep! When I said hi to Jeff, I asked whether the new baby had a name yet: "Joanna - normal spelling" was the pleasant answer I received. Looked for Steph so I could tell her the news, but I can always tell her tonight - she'll have plenty of chances to see the baby in the future, anyhow. Baby Joanna was sleeping soundly, yay! I said hi to Ian, and asked whether he remembered my name - no. Got his brother Gabriel to give me a high-five, heh.

After a while, Eric said that we could leave in a couple of minutes. I used that time to tell Chrystal that I wouldn't be around this afternoon - she wouldn't, either! When I told her that Eric and I would be taking transit from Bridgeport Station, she said she should take transit from her place in Burnaby too! Chrystal said she'd call Auntie Vivian, so I got her to say that I wouldn't be there either. On the way home, Eric said that he hadn't told Steph what I did yesterday. I said that I hadn't told her that she'd be proud of me for walking more than a kilometre all told (I didn't want Dave to think I was a wimp even if my CP was valid for more rest than the hour we had by the water!), so he figured that I wouldn't tell her who I was with. Trust me, I'm sure you'll take care of that since you're crazy and incorrigible!

He said he wouldn't be able to raid in WOW tonight, but that's fine. Talked about THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN, FRINGE, Walter Bishop, the Urban Dictionary (the sense which Dave used "fringe" in a comment to me didn't seem to be in there), celebrating anniversaries, "southern regions," dirty minds, June 26-July 1 (Saturday to Thursday trip - I'll figure out the Sunday later if I don't forget and skip!), and more stuff. He'll call when he's ready to leave, since we do kinda want to be on time even if banquets start late! When I got home, I noticed that Henry had called... perfect! I returned the call, and it turns out that he can't make it to Awana either! Hey, I was going to call to tell him the same thing, so it all works out! I was going to take a nap, but I don't think I'll have much time to do so! (at least I put my bus pass in my pocket before I totally forgot...)

While checking Facebook, I saw that Wesley had posted about Sunday's lunch on Dave's wall - I TOLD YOU THAT PEOPLE MISSED YOU! I mean, if they're calling you and leaving you wall posts... says he MIGHT be around on Sunday if work doesn't screw it up. That's fine! He also commented on my "feeling better after a nap!" status with "hot water, honey lemon, and sleep" - trust me, that is on the agenda for sure!

I also noticed that my new cashew spread has started to separate - I don't think that's very safe to eat, so have ended up throwing it out. *sigh*

Told Candy to call me, but I ended up taking a nap since I felt kinda bleh... the result was that I missed her call. I won't have an opportunity to have another one in the next few days - hangouts with Auntie Ying / Dave, Chuck and Andrea's wedding / banquet (which I called Eric about - we'll figure out banquet rides in the morning), Awana, church, and Sunday lunch. At least I feel better after the nap than before!

The name "David Wong" really is not that hard to pronounce, subconscious!

I had a dream where Eric, Wesley, Jon, and I were busing to a certain place to see Dave Wong for some reason. We were passing the time by reading a lot of comics in the paper, and REALLY got into them. There were horoscopes next to the comics as the PROVINCE used to have, too. When we did see Dave, he told us that he didn't think his name was that common or hard to pronounce until he moved here. Apparently, an Iranian accent or a reggae accent made it hard to understand. I woke up soon after that with a "WTF?" feeling, understandably!

Today is definitely Sunday - yay for nougats and ratatouille!

Parents picked me up late, but apparently Grandma forgot today was Sunday - aiya! Mom gave me some baited glue traps that Grandma had bought: nice! The ride to church wasn't very annoying, which was good. Got into church with my big yellow Bay bag, which Cordia commented on. When Steph gave me a small yellow dragon bag from Rachel and Lisa with some almond nougat inside, Cordia said now I had a little yellow bag! Oh yes, although the big one wasn't for me, as I told Connie. Shook hands with Gillis - nice to see him this weekend! Saw Jon and Harmony come in late - turned out they'd slept in till 9:07 or so! Harmony thanked me for the towel and the joke Febreze I'd thrown in - just get Jon to spray the bathroom himself so you don't have to do it, hahaha.

Talked to Brian, Steph, Denise, Andrew, Sarah, Jeremy, Jon, Harmony, and others about soccer / mice / problems / plans before Sunday School started. Saw James and Sanne, and met their two daughters Jenna and Saskia - they all look TANNED! Must be all the European living, haha. Cindy told Harmony who they were - I stuck around for a bit to soak up the vibe, and heard Steph tell Chris about her fake "tattoo." Apparently, her co-workers drew it on her (a heart with an arrow through it and the word "Mom")... she got home later, and fooled Mom into thinking it was real. Later, my dad came out and yelled to go into the fellowship hall - Steph had a facepalm moment when that happened! As I told Harmony, that's one thing which HASN'T mellowed over the years! Heard Jeremy talking about his former roommate Darryl, and the number of pans he himself had from former roommates. Said hi to baby Mattias, who liked staring at my hat - then he reached for my keys when I jangled them for him. Cute kid with big eyes!

Before I went upstairs to help with the kids, I said hi to baby Allison - she does seem to have inherited Jeff's quiet calmness! Got upstairs and saw a lot of kids: Adrian and Ella are back from Calgary for a month, and dumped their two kids plus a cousin on us. Never mind that the cousin (Asher?) and the older sister (Charissa) are both about six years old! The younger brother (Caleb) is about three years old or so. Charissa seemed to like poking me, so I gave her one good look inside my mouth - when she tried getting me to open it again later, I kept it firmly shut. I gave Auntie Fonda her "sympathy" card - she told her husband Kevin later that I was really sweet, and gave me a big hug! At first, I thought I made her cry in front of the kids! It was good, though...

Went downstairs just in time to hear Jeremy say that Jon's big yellow "How to Cook Everything" book was false advertising: no Pho, no mice, no raw dog, and no Chinese dishes! Christon wanted to plan a ramen night for a Sunday Dinner, and Sam said that the Japadogs next week would truly be an attempt! Jon remembered the homemade Pho night - I laughed when he recalled that Christon and Dallas were washing the fruit for shakes in Jeremy's bathroom! Eric, Dylan, and I observed their discussion about ratatouille this afternoon for Nathan's birthday - I can imagine that Jon and Harmony's place is a mess right now! Went to Mui's for lunch - Jon and I laughed at Grandma's thinking that parking a block away from the church (and then the restaurant) was "really far."

Talked to Pastor Fulton and Auntie Teresa about Vernon, Sarah, Serena, Uncle Simon, spareribs, cooking, rice, and more. Got back to the church, where Steph picked me and Grandma up. Discussed Angela's wedding (Steph will be back on the 13th of August - after the parents leave on their cruise), Dylan's wedding, Vegas, Erin's dinner at Martini's tomorrow, Committee meeting, Uncle Allan's death, the Interior bus tour, last Friday's program, and more. This week promises to be a bit quieter than last week, which is fine!

I had a dream which involved my brother and sister asking for my help in distracting a storekeeper while they stole edamame in a white plastic bag. They legitimately bought strawberries, bananas, apples, and some other fruit first. Our parents and Grandma were waiting in the next room of this "cafeteria store" setup, but they didn't know what we were really doing. My sister said that I should get the TV Guide and pretend to look up movies of the week, so I did that.

Once they were successful in taking the Japanese soybeans, my brother said that I should get back to the parents before they suspected something was up. He lent me an epic book to read, so I took that and went back to the family. When my siblings finally got back, Steph said that she'd seen Rick at the north end of the other room. I asked her if she meant Jennifer's kid, and she indicated yes. I had to see him for myself, so I muttered "north... end... table..." to orient myself when I went to the McDonalds-like lineup.

Rick recognized me and said hi. He was in a football uniform and helmet with all the requisite pads; he looked burlier than your average Chinese early teen. He also called his little brother "Andrew" instead of "Amos," but that was okay. The dream ended when I was going to ask him to join us instead of sitting at a yellow-orange table all by himself. Weird!


Josephine S. invited me to a game of Word Twist, which reminds me of Text Twist. Ah, I remember those days of 2001 or so... :D
