BIRTHDAY CAKE OREOS / NO CURLING!

Eric had to buzz me on MSN last night; he tried convincing me to be a curling spectator, but I don't think that's going to happen. I do have my beloved weekly tradition - as a quirkyalone (which I also told him about), I need that part of my routine. I guess I knew I was different from childhood. When you go off on your own to read during a friend's seventh birthday party (wonder if Kevin George still remembers that), and make up elaborate families (the Frothings!) in your head till your twenties or so.... yeah. My mom would ALWAYS say that "you can't live a dream world because life isn't like that," but I would just think "What if I WANT it to be like that?!" Yes, I know that life isn't about those things practically, but seriously... WHY NOT?! Is it HARMING you, lady?! Sheesh!

Besides, there's a hockey game on at 7! Yes, I will especially need peace and quiet during that time tomorrow! I finished the quadruplets and quintuplets lists yesterday, too. Should be able to finish both sextuplets entries today, which will be nice for my self-imposed deadline of tomorrow before 2. That way, I can truly enjoy the aforementioned weekly tradition AND Saturday! Replied to Mandy's email as well - yes, it IS awesome that I know a part of myself. :D

Price Smart customer service called me about those Birthday Cake Oreos - I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON WHY I DIDN'T GO OUT TILL NOW! I'm sure the workers there laughed on the inside when I asked them why they weren't on the shelves, but the Customer Service desk had two boxes for me. I also bought five on-sale Hungry Man microwaveable meals, and one more bag of kimchi dumplings. (they had potstickers, but I'll get those next time) I failed at using my debit card at the self-checkout, so I used the cash option instead! Steph and Lisa had bought a box at Target in the States last week, it turns out - "you should have told us earlier!" indeed. Paid my phone bill when I got home, also. Spent less than $25 at the store, which is GOOD - CONTROL!

First US Set
1875 - Kanouse (Wisconsin, February 13 1875). The five boys all died shortly after birth. There have been other sets born earlier, but none with solid information on them.

First Set To Survive
1934 - Annette Lillianna Marie, Yvonne Edouilda Marie (d June 23 2001), Cécile Marie Emilda, Marie Rein Alma (d 1970), and Émilie Marie Jeanne (d August 6 1954) Dionne (Ontario, Canada, May 28 1934). They were wards of the province and became a tourist attraction, housed in a hospital with a viewing area.

I have a 20-year-old son named Case Mitchell and an 18-year-old daughter named Cheyenne Autumn. my daughter has some of the most beautiful red hair in the world, so her name fits her to a tee.

Not only does she have beautiful red hair, but Cheyenne Autumn stars James Stewart and Richard Widmark, and is regarded by many critics to be John Ford's most cynical of his later Westerns. She runs 2 hours, 35 minutes and is available on VHS.

What I do want is a name that is unique and sounds dignified without being "laughable." What I do NOT want is a name that is so different it takes a lifetime to get used to. My mother did that to me, and I fuss with her about it to this day. (I'm almost 34) She named me Zebrena Nanzet (which is a variation of Sabrina Nanzette), which she says she found in a baby book in the late 60s. No matter how much emphasis I put on pronouncing the 'Z' in my first name, people have already started spelling Sabrina. Let me just tell you that I have been cursed with spelling my name everywhere I go. And I do mean everywhere.

We believe you. Poor thing. Having a perfectly normal middle name like Nanzette spelled so strangely.

I knew a couple who likes baby names that are active verbs. They named their daughter Meander, she is called Mea for short. If it would have been a boy, they liked the name Run. Another choice for a girl was Harmony.

OK. Number 1: Meander and Run aren't active verbs until they're placed with an object, as in "I meander in delirium thinking 'Run' is a good name." Number 2: I dare... I double dog dare these people to name a girl the verb form of Harmony, Harmonize. I fuckin' dare them! Then have a boy and name him Simonize. Number 3: While I'm at it, I dare them to save everyone the trouble and name Run "The Shits" instead.

My to-be husband has a thing for "unique" names. He likes names such as "Veto" and Enobi." I like what I call "cool" names, such as "Kiki" and "Jack." We were having dissagrements with baby names till I smacked him upside the head and phrohibid him from naming my children.

I had a baby girl 3 months ago, and we named her Lauren Rebecca. (Rebecca is my husband's sister's name) However, it does not seem to fit, and we would like to change her name to Emma Lauren. But my husband does not think it would be appropriate to drop Rebecca since she was named after his sister. My husband says this is ridiculous because we are not Latino, and he does not even go to church anymore.
