Extension above board, quirky new flavors, Candy's package of music and coins, tracklists
This morning, I was up before my alarm... it was wicked sunny outside! I was out of here shortly after 9:30 since I had to make sure I had everything I needed, and met Barry at the front door. He said that he'd been about to leave again... apparently, my phone wasn't working or somesuch. It was, but I'd JUST connected to the Internet right before leaving... don't ask me why I did it then, when I could have done so when I got back. :P At least I got my food shopping done, and picked up that package at the post office. Barry also says that Sue has more info about the extension, which IS above board since she knows the managers and all. Guess I'll be calling her later this afternoon to find out more!
I got quirky new flavors of things today, especially since I don't go to Safeway that often for my food shopping. There were some microwaveable meals that I couldn't resist: Stouffer's had Chicken Alfredo and Herb Grilled Chicken, Stouffer's Lean Cuisine had mango curry chicken, and Bassili's Best had chicken lasagna. Safeway had Moose Tracks ice cream, and Ceres juices had Hannepoot White Grape, Guava, Lychee, and Pear juices. There were other things which appealed to me as well, but I had to stick to a budget and time constraints somehow! ;) They didn't have curry chips, so I'll have to pick that up later at a store I'm more familiar with. :D
The package in the mail was JUST what I was expecting... indeed, it was something from Candy! Six CDs and two envelopes, all protected by massive amounts of bubble wrap and tape: yay for the bubble wrap! Now if I could only figure out why my Windows Media Player plays tracks out of order... I don't think I have the "random" feature set up, if there is one! She also included a card and lucky money / poppy quarters for Chinese New Year: "As promised, the envelopes I was telling you about in the forum. One has not been opened and contains a replica of an ancient Chinese coin, and the other was... so I replaced what they had in it with poppy quarters. Happy Chinese New Year!" Sweet, since the envelopes look cool... I can keep one, since I ripped the tape off the other. Citrus told me ALL about those Tim Horton's 2004 poppy quarters a while back! :D

Her commentary on the music:
"Enclosed are more tunes. The Clutch is a good CD, as I was telling Charlie. I wasn't sure if I ever sent you a copy of what I have, but you got it now. The Power Ballads is all sorts of slower rock / metal that I used to listen to in the late 70's and 80's. It's something to relax to, with just a little of an edge. Now, the newer mix CDs from November 2005 and January 2006 are what was top 40 alternative / rock at that moment in musical time. They are "mixed company" type of CDs. On the 2006 one, most of the last half is from overseas charts (you know, England's British charts) that I like.
Special paragraph note: I LOVE NONPOINT! They kick ass.
The Gothic Music Mix is stuff that isn't new, per se. but I like it. The Goth Mix from January 2006 is all new stuff. The band DAS ICH has been around for a time, but new tunes by them are always welcome as far as I'm concerned. I honestly don't care if the words are in German, either. I have to try harder to get a couple of CDs. Tough to find here....
This should keep you busy for a while, eh? I like giving you what I find, as you seem to truly appreciate it. Laters!"
