Red Robin's, carols, desserts, and bubble tea / Questions 2251-2300 of 5000

Highlights from tonight:

* Went to Red Robin's with Jon, Andrea, Chuck, Chung, Elaine, and some other dude for dinner. It was okay: I discovered that Elaine doesn't like black olives, and LOVES her niece and nephew (Olivia and Ian) a LOT. It's weird to think of her brother David playing with kids, but he apparently does it well. Jon and I had to finish Andrea's massive chicken salad for her, heh. I thought that someone should write a book attempting to describe what it was like to parent Jesus Christ from Mary and Joseph's perspectives... how DO you figure that out?!

* Had an okay time at the choir service, and thought about certain online friends of mine. I talked to Katherine briefly to say I was sorry to hear of her husband's death... he was 20 years older than she! My brother brought out Bring The Torch, Jeanette, Isabella: nice French tune! I also got a Christmas card from Vania, and gave Jason a birthday card... Andrea, Chuck, Christon, Randal, and Karen Lew also got Christmas cards. Jon told Chuck that I was known as the "(birthday) card person"... probably he's right, and it's better than "this is my sister: she reads a lot, and chews a lot of gum!" (as he memorably introduced me once to someone a couple of years ago)

* After that was over with, we all had desserts in the balcony: I played with little Joshua for a bit while talking to his parents (Tim and Maxine), then went upstairs to watch the rest of the hockey game along with everyone else. (Nathan and Steph were at the game tonight) We lost 6-5 to Calgary in a shootout, and half the people upstairs were kinda being anti-social and staring at the TV screens. There was a lot of dessert, though.. I talked to a bunch of people about their Christmas plans, the people coming into town, and the massive amounts of food / turkey we'd be eating!

* Megan, Sam, Ivan, Jon, and I met Nathan at Dragon Ball: yes, we went there twice in a week. :P The lady there asked Jon whether he'd been away again, and said it was nice to see him. (on the way there, we'd joked about her LIKING him... but she's probably twice his age, heh) They are open from 5-midnight on Christmas Day, but I think we'll be too full to even entertain the idea of going there... at least I got a stamp card (and a pudding bubble tea) from there again! (my old one went bye-bye a few years ago when someone working there told me that it was invalid or something... aiyoh!) We saw Sean there, and talked to him about New York City.. he's been sleeping ever since he got back on Monday, and is going to three Christmas services on Sunday even though he's not going to like it. Jon called Eunice and was surprised that she answered her cell AND that she was free for SLB tomorrow... he thinks that Eric H. is in as well. Re-introduced Megan to bubble tea, and then learned that her buddy bailed on her for Christmas dinner. :(

* On the way home, we listened to The Beat (urban music radio station) before deciding that "Breaking The Waves" on CBC was where it was at. (the campus radio station goes in and out too often for our taste, heh) They have some weird music on at this time of night: Ivan described it as "someone farting," haha. We joked around about a bunch of stuff: we'll figure out Sunday Richmond rides tomorrow, and Mom may be out of luck if she only wants to take one car to church since she won't want to get up early for an 8:15 breakfast at the church. (it's not my optimum cup of tea either, but I'm used to being sleep-deprived / cranky on Sundays :P)

Note: Words that define my LJ friends / what am I getting from LJ friends / what the heck my LJ friends are thinking blogquizzes. (by Lisa)

Got these questions from this QuestionClub LJ post by Arthurbulla. I'm going to post the survey in 50-question batches, like the original. No worries there! Five thousand questions and answers wouldn't fit as an entry, anyhow. :P

The only complete copy... you'll have to go around erasing answers.

No.
