Good times at Dragon Ball / Questions 2051-2100 of 5000

Steph picked me up at 9:45, and we discussed her sleeping over at Vivian's.. also, she says that her friend Terrence might be coming sometime this week before he has to go back to Singapore and serve two years in the army there. Of course, she's not telling Mom about it quite yet because Mom would ask her all these questions that have no concrete answer right now! ("When is he coming? Where will he stay? What will he do? When is he leaving?!") So I guess we'll see what happens with that, heh. There was also some country song on the radio with some line about a crowd exploding: when I told my sister that it made me think of suicide bombers, she thought I was disturbed, haha.

We met Phil, Joe, Jon, Jeremy, Justin, Fidela, Eric H., and Nathan at Dragon Ball: Phil had eye shadow on since he and Joe had just come from a costume party. Much fun was had with that, heh. Steph shared the story of how she and her friends inadvertently poisoned themselves doing a chem experiment, and found out about it during their next toxicology class an hour later: no wonder they didn't feel so great mid-experiment! Phil's favorite story involved a guy heating up stuff on a Bunsen burner for 4 hours... after that, the dude just happened to grab the Bunsen burner! Luckily, Phil's visions of having to help the guy peel away flesh from the burner weren't reality: the guy had water on his hands, so it just evaporated all the water.. very lucky break there!

It was good seeing Jeremy: he'll be busy this week with work and heading back to Kelowna for a few days. He'll be tired when he gets to his parents' house, but they'll want to do things... after the trip, he'll get back late Christmas Day and then have to work 12 hours on Boxing Day! At least he gets paid time and a half with the stat holiday, but still. Eric asked Jon whether he'd seen a 50 Cent concert in Toronto, and we joked about getting shot for real at a rap show. ("Yes, these cops are really arresting me.. and these aren't rubber bullets that I'm about to shoot at you.. they're real!") We all discussed my glowing shimmery cranberry lotion, the hockey game (shorthanded goals by the Kings were KILLER, and we lost 4-3 in the shootout!), anime, Christmas plans, an SLB night WITHOUT Eddie, beer night tomorrow, a Chinese movie called Dumplings that made everyone lose their appetite, bubble tea, and other topics. (Nathan's moving up in the bubble tea world: he got mango-strawberry with coconut jelly, pearls, AND slush! I got mocha, and Jeremy had a hot red bean-almond bubble tea.)

After Dragon Ball, a few of us went to Nathan's to watch this humorous The Yes Men: McDonald's and World Trade Organization video. (turning poop into stuff the Third World could eat?! The Yes Men on IMDB) Then we watched Initial D, which is a movie derived from some anime series. It didn't have much of a plot, revolving around hairpin turns / delivering tofu / street racing as it did. But the subtitles were kinda funny! Later, we discussed Anime Hell / Cowboy Bebop / Lain / beer night tomorrow before Jon and I drove Jeremy home. I'll call Jon at home tomorrow to determine if the beer night at Steamers is still going on: he'll be at the funeral for Katherine's husband tomorrow, and might do other stuff before worship practice. Hopefully, I can get him at home in the afternoon sometime...

Got these questions from this QuestionClub LJ post by Arthurbulla. I'm going to post the survey in 50-question batches, like the original. No worries there! Five thousand questions and answers wouldn't fit as an entry, anyhow. :P

The only complete copy... you'll have to go around erasing answers.
