Handsome laughter abhorring canoe trails / Pen supplies / UG!
High-scoring words of the afternoon:
HANDSOME (626 points) - against Andrew R. [3W used twice, 2W, 4W, 3L on H, hook off AVE for a plural] {a good deficit-erasing word!}
LAUGHTER (680 points; two 4W, 5L on W), GYBE (100 points; 2W used twice, 3W, hook off YO to make YOB, hook off FAD to make FADE) - against Chris N.
ABHORS (117 points) - against Marjorie S. [two 3W] {a good deficit-erasing word!}
TRAILS (112 points) - against Danielle D. [two 4W]
AGAMAS (140 points) - against Wilhelmina H. [5W used twice, hook off CHIN to make CHINA]
FEASTED (377 points) - against Ria A. [two 5W]
CANOE (203 points) - against Dana E.-L. [two 5W]
Went to Staples to replenish my pen supply, and get a large pencil case for those pens. Zipped pencil cases seem too small these days, and even the large pencil cases don't compare to the relatively huge boxes that you can get at the dollar store. However, I didn't have that kind of time! Got home at 3:45, and Teunis arrived about an hour later to say that Kaili feels REALLY guilty for not being there in a more timely fashion. I suppose that's to be expected - very complicated and rough stuff, this. They spent a LONG time driving around and exploring, so of course HE needs the time to unwind - so understandable!
I SEE HIM TRYING TO LEAVE THE HAND SANITIZER BEHIND! That won't do, so I told him that he could have it. Also gave him a purple pencil case with a bunch of unused pens and some whiteout in it - he seems to think it useful, anyway. Discussed LOOM, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE, game installation speed, graphics settings, quality, the band Man O' War, blowing stuff up as a release, and more. Tried to call Mom - I don't want to email her - but the ug was at the house, and said she was working. He'd taken the Big out for lunch, and of course she would remember HE was coming! (favorite grandson and all) Oh well, at least I explained the difficulty in very general terms without even saying what it was specifically! He's right when he says it was under the category of counseling, that's for sure! Candy TRIED to call me, but I was on the phone already! HA... and since Teunis was trying to play OBLIVION, calling her back isn't really an option since I want to spend time with him relatively quietly.
