Catching up on blogs / funny Fellowship emails

Caught up on Vivian, Spoz, Dave, Jon, Dawn, and Steph in blogland too: self-imposed eBay bans (I didn't know my sister was planning to go to Hawaii?!), Victoria Day long weekends, Pearls Before Swine comics, Ikea, dining alone and satisfying fried chicken / congee cravings without having to bow to the whim of others (I LOVE THAT!), Lucky Charms cereal and orange sorbet together (Dave's been learning from my brother Jon and HIS weird food combos, hehe), Mr. Rogers in front of a senate committee in 1969, CD #666, photos of weekend revelry, etc. Also caught up on 76 journal comments that had been languishing in my email folder for the past couple days. Yay for e-accomplishments! :P

Here's a funny weird Fellowship email from Karen, complete with colors which I can't be bothered to reproduce here:

Hi David Fellowship:

FABULOUSLY uber-hot SUPERMODELS of great inner beauty strutted the CATWALK of David Fellowship last Friday night, May 26th. Wearing priceless creations lovingly designed and handmade in superb, intricate detail by sincere, humble, creative genuines, these SUPERMODELS burned the fellowship runway with their devastating LOOKS and unique fashions each representing "The Perfect Joint-Fellowship Outfit."

Skilled MASTERS of speech and prose elegantly serenaded the beautiful audience with poetic descriptions celebrating the spiritual design of each "Perfect Joint-Fellowship Outfit." Attractive people about fell captive to this divine spell of fashion and truth.

Thank you, David Fellowship for your great inner beauty! Thank you for your hospitality, lovely desserts and treats, and warm welcome of the Aleithia Fellowship from our sister church, the Richmond Evangelical Free. Thank you, pretty Billy and Hot Mama Stella, for serving as FELLOWSHIP GREETERS and caring for our guests.

Special thanks to our great inner-beauties, the Supermodels: Vivian Lew, Dianne Fang, Randal Chin, Nathan To, and Eric Morrill!!! You strutted your stuff down the Catwalk for your selfless, loving teammates! You strutted for David Fellowship and our Richmond guests! You made us scream with delight, joy, and laughter!!! We felt your love! You love Jesus and his sheep. We love you!!!

Our fellowship heart-warmingly partied with style, love, and dedication. Thank you, David Fellowship!! Also, thank you to pretty woman Frances Madrazo for your Balloon Tower Game! Thank you glamour-babes Andrea, Shally, and Lesley; and glamour-guys Terry, Chung Yan, and several others who cleaned up without being asked. Thank you! You define Christian glamour exquisitely with your thoughtfulness and kindness.

Keep it pretty!!! Love Jesus and come to fellowship!

In Christ,
Karen Choo
P.S. Please NOTE that Dylan Lum and Chung Yan Ip are graduates of Derek Zoolander's University for Male Modeling, and they made the punch.

This would sound way sillier if you actually knew her and could hear her weird tone of voice. (weird in a "meh" silly way! :P)

Poor Eric's last name always gets mangled, though. :( (I simply had to correct the spelling, even if it WAS only one "R" off :P) Reminds me of the time in June 2001 when the Daniel and David Fellowships were hanging out together in small groups. There were four typos on the sheet provided for us: Eric's last name is not spelled with an "e," Chrystal's name was spelled "Crystal," Dylan's name was spelled with an "i," and Hon's last name is NOT Lee! Karen Chan told us that the person to blame was named Jason Yeasting... so we did that in SPADES! :P
