Minnesota walked all over us...
The Minnesota Wild won 6-0, including one goal on a penalty shot. (the fifth one against us alone!) Dan Cloutier did make good saves in the first and second periods, but that didn't help the fact that we DID come out flat... again. The Minnesota shot clock was kinda misleading, as it didn't register a shot for Vancouver until nearly halfway through the first. Roloson had a good 36th birthday, as he had 33 saves for his shutout. Todd Bertuzzi was having trouble coming back after the long layoff and such, too... but he tried to spark us with a fight. (19 goals in the last 92 meaningful games?)
Dawyne Roloson, Matt Foy (rookie with his first two goals), and Randy Robitaille (30 years old today) were the three stars... avoid playing people on their birthdays! :P Jacques Lemaire might insert Danny Tjarnqvist into the lineup since it's his 29th birthday on Friday, eep. Speaking of birthdays, it's Dan Russell's birthday today too. I guess we'll see about our birthdays, haha. Back-to-back games in the same city (one of six for us) means we'll get to do this again on Friday... aiya. This game could be interchangeable with any of the games we played against them in the 2003-2004 playoff run... and the Vancouver team is sure to be dispirited. I guess it's a good thing the games aren't really back-to-back, and they don't have to play tomorrow!
