Fellowship emails, RSVP, compromise, OK Cupid quizzes
Hmm. While I have nothing against Bible Study Outing Nights (and certainly agree that they can be memorable sometimes), I can hear her silly over-the-top tone of voice if she were to say this to us instead of emailing us. At the same time, I realize that it's her way of talking and such, so eh. Not that I'd want to CHANGE it per se, but sometimes the simpering gets a bit much. Ah well...
Speaking of Bible Study, I was also thinking that the BS crew should have taken my Boston Pizza suggestion more seriously yesterday... but then I figured that if they make the sacrifice to come to Richmond (especially with gas prices how they are now), I can compromise and go a little bit beyond my usual milieu to the Cactus Club by bus. It's not like I won't have a ride home from the dessert place or wherever... besides, I love these friends of mine a lot. :) At least I was the FIRST to RSVP to her Bible Study email this time instead of the LAST... I don't need to talk to Eric later in the week as we usually do, heh.
Someone and I got into a "warm discussion" about that earlier in the year... those are simply the habits which work for Eric and me through many years of "Richmond Crew Friday plans on Thursday / Friday." Not because I don't want to RSVP (I always do), but it's easier to know what you'll be doing after a certain time on Friday if you make plans later in the week as opposed to earlier! :P
If the rest of this entry turns out to be a big thing of OK Cupid quizzes (and by "big," I mean more than 10 :P), you can blame Teunis for it. I suspect if that's the case, I'll be at church service tomorrow morning sitting by Jeremy or whoever, and thinking various non-charitable thoughts about the dude. :P However, I'll definitely give Andrea her birthday Bathroom Reader tomorrow if I see her long enough to do that. It's always crazy on Sundays with people going to a squillion meetings and whatnot...
Fool You scored -3 out of 42! |
Look. Just don't breed, okay? Us competent folks have plenty of work to do without adding more drones to the pile. |

It's "we" competent folk... I think.
Not that bad You scored 41 in music taste! |
Well, your music taste is probably not bad but you don't necessarily like the same music that I do. Sure, you like some good stuff, but you probably don't like the mainstream music. The closer your score is to 0, the less music taste you have. The closer it is to 112, the closer your taste is to mine. |

Hamlet You scored 18 evilness, 36 romance, 36 tragic, and 27 comic! |
Philosophical procrastinator, Hamlet is among the greatest tragic characters ever created. In despair over his father's murder and his mother's marriage to his uncle, Hamlet discovers that his new stepfather and uncle is his father's killer. But Hamlet thinks about revenge too long, which costs him his life. |

Ganga You scored 37 intellect, 29 prosperity, 20 sexuality, and 72 goodness! |
Ganga's outstanding quality is that she is good. She is a river goddess - the goddess personified by the largest river in India, in fact. When the people of the world were left without water (long story why) she agreed to fall to earth as a great river, her impact softened by the hair of the god Shiva, to save humankind. Now the river she is said to inhabit is the most revered in India. |

Perfect Score You scored 100% Knowledge and 0% Prejudice! |
Wow. You either (a) know far too much about death and disaster or (b) know how to read a test. Furthermore, you were smart enough to figure out that, of these atrocities, only 9/11 involved Muslim male extremists. You are clearly smart enough to be wary of the hysteria of racial and / or religious profiling. Congratuations! This quiz originated as a parody of one (not seen on OKCupid) designed to justify racial and / or religious prejudice against Muslim men. This other quiz ignored all other forms of violence -- state sponsored, accidental, individual, whatever. The authors simply picked their data to argue their point, and ignored everything else. I got annoyed, and wrote (a previous version of) this quiz as a response. Note: Some dates, events, names and terminology are from Wikipedia. |

For obvious reasons, this test was right up my alley. :D
Lawful Chaotic You scored 52 eclecticism, 44 normality, 56 antinormality, and 42 variablefour! |
In the world of sauces, you are the spicy tangerine gravy. Moderately eclectic and antinormal, yet normal enough to be entered as a dish at the local state / county / municipal / nation-wide gathering/fair/sewage processing plant opening. Like Goldilocks, you're blonde and stole porridge from a family of bears, as well as breaking and entering. |

Adequately Hygienic You scored 143 cleanliness! |
You're kinda messy, but in a relatively normal sort of way. Even though you can be sloppy, you're not quite an outright slob. You do all right -- you're probably not bad at keeping up appearances around others out in public. But those who are familiar enough with you might say there's room for improvement. Perhaps a motivator might get you to make a little more effort. Somebody you'd want to make a good impression on, for instance. But then you'd likely just go back to your untidy habits again after awhile. Oh well... |
