Friday the 13th, Teunis coming to help clean up, glowing speedometers

IT'S FRIDAY THE 13TH - BEWARE! I was quietly going about my own business this afternoon when I noticed that Mike D. wanted to be Facebook friends. Since I don't even know who that is, it's getting deep-sixed! Actually, I asked spinpsychle, and he confirmed that it was him - NICE! Hahaha.

Teunis came over at about 7:10, but I wasn't really expecting him to do so without notice. Of course, this would be the day where he'd be out with Jordan exploring the city - it took them four tries before they found a bakery which sold fruit pies?! Oh dear. Discussed Christon, Eric M., Sunday Dinners with NO MUSHROOMS (apparently Jordan could die being in the same room with them), sauce, holes, potatoes, the carrots going bad, tomatoes as poison, bleach / vinegar, cleaning, the dish drainer, his being shaky and trying not to jump to conclusions, the vacuum cleaner being inherited from his grandma, and how we'd been in the past couple days. He also found a piece of paper which my ex had written on! "LEONA LEWIS - BLEEDING LOVE" got the garbage treatment!

He misses his computer, since he's trying to get his server to run Windows - which it wasn't really designed to do. Robin's mom plays blues and jazz, which is interesting! Also talked about soy sauce, mustard, checking stuff, mold, whether Robin was home (no idea) / on my MSN (no), potlucks, keys, life at Robin's, cellphones, upsetting my life for a month, upsetting the apartment temporarily, water filters, mice, insects, silverfish, no algae in water filter systems, bleach being a super-effective cleansing agent, poking out holes in the drainer, the big pot being good for a lot of dishes, our cleaning standards being "good enough" instead of "excessive like Mom," and more. This is good, heh - felt complete! He left at around 11:10, so that wasn't too bad at all.

Trivia fact for Friday, Aug. 13: What 1950s-era car featured a speedometer that glowed when a preset speed was reached? The ill-fated Ford Edsel, in 1958.
