Cheesecake, RAM, storage in Surrey, being literally allergic to a place, and email symbols

I have been offline for most of the day - Teunis and I went to Surrey, listening to radio shows while driving there. (Magic Decoder Ring or something, featuring a panda and squirrel superhero team alias) Discussed the MANY things destined for / in his U-Haul storage locker until he can afford a house: axes, fleck-tipped arrows, a sword from Jordan, furniture, bookshelves, boxes, containers, a Dremel, an electric drill, a sewing machine, rocks / gems for a hobby, instruments, guitars, movies / videos, hammers, routers, the big diamond willow staff, the roof rack, spears, and more. Also talked about organizing the monitors and TV, going out, gifts, Cat, Steveston / Queen Elizabeth Park (which I vetoed later because of the heat), Skype, coolant gel (which Best Buy / Future Shop did NOT have when we went to Central City Mall), cheesecake, sourdough, bread, Kailee (empress_kailee), Alysha (cloven_fruit), dates, Scott, and other things. I did tell him that Jasmine (surrey_sucks) said hi, and he said hi back.

After going to U-Haul, we stopped in at a place called the Fireside Cheesecake Café or something like that. Teunis appeared to know the owner well, and he bought me a lunch consisting of ravioli / toast / orange juice / key lime cheesecake. (he had orange juice, coffee creme cheesecake, and a clubhouse sandwich WITHOUT tomatoes) Only later did I learn that the owner (whose name was Robert) is Alysha's dad! Discussed Krista (geek_dragon), literally being allergic to Fort St. John, air flow, decreased weight in the car (NOT SO MUCH STUFF!), spare keys, our plans for later in the week (job-hunting / Kaili / gaming on Saturday / his leaving on Sunday when I go to church - LONG trip ahead!), camping in campgrounds with his tent (not the Viking one, so no military bed!), and other things.

We stopped by Best Buy / Vancity / Alysha's place in Surrey, and then went to Save-On Foods and the dollar store in Richmond. Bought glass containers, plastic containers, a travel mug, English muffins, mustard, bean sprouts, celery, green onions, sugar, flour, eggs, imitation crab, onions, Ribena, two boxes of crackers (basil and olive oil are for Friday purposes), baskets, strawberry yogurt, steel wool, a pie plate, and cinnamon among other things. He determined to make orange meringue pie as a change from lemon meringue pie, then changed THAT to orange creme pie - should be good for the BBQ! Discussed Moist's SILVER / PUSH, Fastball's THE WAY, Korn, rocking music, Kevin, Romanian orchestras, Therion, and more.

Got home and read books and such while discussing BABYLON 5, burning things on DVD, being VERY careful what you bring down to the States, rare things, his reaction to cigarette smoke (weakness?!), CRACKS from the kitchen, Dutch dishes (hutspot), my constantly-restarting computer, change, headaches, his brother in Alberta, changing the light bulbs, WORLD OF WARCRAFT character skills, reseeding (receding?) RAM, plastic wrap, cleaning the stove pan, cables, the heat coming from the computers, cleaning my hard drive (which might have been grey around the fan), purple dragon change purses being like Russian nesting dolls, and other things. Kadri (bad_habit) wanted him to give me a hug for her, haha. I called both my siblings, thus exposing Teunis to "ug talk," haha... calibration for detachment breathalyzers for a new month, "asinine vs. awesome," weapons, family jokes, being fake vs. being real, and more stuff. Finally, Teunis figured that the updates / drivers / clogged fan MIGHT be causing the restarts, but then dug around to find that the RAM connections were corroded / corrupted. Apparently, it wasn't so serious as to require a new motherboard / computer system - good thing! It seems to be behaving right now, but of course I'll be watchful...

Trivia fact for Wednesday, July 7: What do Americans call the symbol - often used in emails - that is known as "little snail" in France, "little duck" in Greece, and "monkey's tail" in Germany? The "at sign" - @.
