I played PA off Angela's PA - yay for quirkiness! Matt K. added me to Facebook, yay! There's a crash at my intersection, and I'd go out to see it if the sidewalk was all de-iced. (walking there does present its challenges - so why did I make a food shopping appointment for Monday at 12:30?!) DAMN YOU, MELTING SNOW - YOU ARE KEEPING ME FROM MORBIDITY! The news reminds me about floods / mudslides / states of emergency in Abbotsford and Chilliwack - too bad!
The Crapper
Poo nugget for Thursday, Jan. 8: Thomas Crapper, a British plumber in the mid-eighteenth century, is widely credited with inventing the toilet. (though this is not, in fact, true) In reality, Sir John Harrington designed the first flush toilet in 1569, 250 years before Crapper. However, since buildings had no plumbing to bring in the water to make the toilets flush in the sixteenth century, the introduction of the flush toilet had to wait until the nineteenth century, when Crapper is credited with introducing the modern flushing toilet.
This quiz obviously doesn't know anything about MY kitchen, haha!

You Are Banana Nut Pancakes |
You prefer complex and interesting foods. You shy away from anything that's ordinary or tired. It's not likely that someone would find white sandwich bread or boxed mac n' cheese in your kitchen. Instead, someone might find an original recipe of yours cooking up - or some interesting ethnic food. |
