Dreams of space aliens, classic kiddy books, and free junk food

This Poulain Chocolatier (1848) (imported from France) 64% cocoa bar tastes pretty damn good! I wonder what the 86% one will be like... leaving little bits of chocolate all over the place, but that's par for the course. :D

I had this weird dream..

My sister was going to drive me somewhere in the van, but then she got invited to a party at our friend Rich's house two blocks away from church. She said that I could stay in the car or go with her since I'd know most of the people anyhow. I wasn't staying in the car because there was this intense garbage smell which made me REALLY gag (kinda like the Pho garbage - EW!) that was in the underground parking lot for some reason! So I went in and assisted Fidela, Vanessa, and Jackie in taking gift / grocery bags full of party stuff / food up to Rich's place.

Once I got there, I saw my brother being quite intent on a baseball game. He said he didn't want to be rude to the others in the room, but he simply had to check something on his laptop in a few minutes. After that, he wanted to check out this silvery book I had which looked like a Ripley's / Guinness tome - it was all about famous mistakes, which he loved reading about. While he was reading that, Rich came and told us that there was a space alien somewhere in the building! Jon and I helped everyone to warn the other people behind the doors of Rich's place. We saw Kelvin and a pregnant Evelyn in one of the rooms, and asked her about the upcoming baby. (in real life, she had baby boy Taylor in July-ish)

Someone found the space alien in a mess of wires: the thing looked like something from a UFO movie! We helped encase the thing in formaldehyde in a jar, since we thought a scientific person would want to look at it. Suddenly, the dream environment changed to this huge carpeted store with a lot of aisles. There were paperback Little House on the Prairie books on sale, and the covers kinda looked like the Curious George books and the illustrations on the real-life books. The dream series seemed to contain more books than the main real-life series - NOT the prequel books which I've heard are out there. (I have the real-life main books through a happy fate accident, haha)

Each of the extra books was written by an Evelyn Andrews, and had the exact time period on the back. ("This book covers April 1885 to spring 1887") There was a book on Laura in Spain, a book where she learned to be a spouse (titled Spouse, appropriately enough), and some more books - including a historical silvery tome. (more books like Guinness / Ripley!) People wanted to load up on those, so we got a cart and proceeded to go nuts. Jon got a call from Jeremy, who wanted to know what was up. We told him, and he promptly met us at the store! (hey, there were beer books too!)

After we shopped for a while, Anita came to inform us that we could leave with a free HUGE bag of popcorn / multi-colored chips / candy. We were all for that, until she told us that we had to learn to fly. Then Meg (from the Little Women books) showed up in a carriage... she told us to call her Mae, and offered everyone some smokes! We all declined, and went off by ourselves somewhere to discuss these latest developments. Finally, we agreed to fly if we could have a LOT of brown paper bags for our books. The dream ended with our flying away with the books, beer, junk food, and little toy spaceships... weird stuff!
