Watch out for the washrooms at Dragon Ball and math challenges!

Sam picked me up shortly after the last post, and we discussed his exam schedule while listening to the local Christian music station and navigating construction / traffic. A singer with an obvious cool accent (Australian?) was doing a version of a song I really liked: I love those accents, so that made it even better, hehe. Awana today was all right: Anita wasn't there for some reason, so it felt more relaxed today. A bunch of us were looking through one of her recipe magazines.. it had pictures of all the food, so at least you could see what it was supposed to look like when you're done making the things! Auntie Vivian liked that feature, since she hates recipes with no pictures of the end result. I gave Danny and Benedict their baptism cards without telling them what it was... they can open them and figure it out themselves, haha. Chris wasn't there, so I gave it to his girlfriend Sabrina instead. (I almost referred to him as her brother, aiya!) After Awana, Darren came downstairs and quizzed little Julie on math while we ate egg tarts. When he got to 13x9, Julie said that they didn't do that stuff till Grade 5: it was a challenge which Joey and Sam got before she did!

Mike narrowly escaped getting whipped by Julie again, and Darren told us some hilarious story that happened last night when a bunch of their friends went for bubble tea. One of their friends was a total newbie to the Dragon Ball experience, so he didn't know that you need a key for the washroom there. Everyone else decided to have a bit of fun with him, so they told him: "All you need to do is bang on the door really hard if it won't open!" The guy went and did that, then reported back that it didn't work: everyone simply told him to just bang on the door with more force! He came back a second time to say that it didn't work. So they decided that they'd had enough fun with him, and asked for the washroom key: "Oh, there's no key... someone's already in there!" The person who was using the washroom came back out and told his group of friends that he was so nervous (presumably because of all the banging on the door) that he was trying not to pee all over the place! *laugh*

After that, the guys just discussed some girl they know named Tracy who has a rich boyfriend. Emily and Joey gave some marinated chicken to Sam before we all went our separate ways. On the way home, I heard a new song by Brian Littrell: yes, the person from the Backstreet Boys. Aiyoh. :P
