Dim sum as Reese's Pieces, France, lucky X-Box owners, and family time

It was way too sunny outside, so I woke up before my alarm went off. At least I had time to do stuff before heading off to church! I talked a bit to Citrus, Danielle, Nathan, and Christon about Danielle's drawings of dim sum food... one of them looked like a Reese's Pieces candy! (even my sister agreed!) We haven't had SLB in SOOOOO long, though! Maybe soon, haha. Danielle did it to entertain Nathan, and also to tell him what she wanted for lunch. Billy was back, and his sleep's been okay: 2-5 hours for the first week is fine, Joe told him. Stella was with baby Benjamin in the baby room, so maybe I'll see him next week or something. Winnie's baby Megan was crying because there were too many people around making a lot of noise... poor girl!

Karen Lew says she's going to France on April 20: her classes really end on the 22nd... but if it's cheaper by a couple hundred dollars, and you don't do anything in the last couple of days anyhow, why not go early? Jen's still doing the Starbucks thing, which is cool. Wish I could have talked to her longer, but everyone left then! Nathan, Jen, Christon, and I all turned away when Citrus and Danielle did their "goodbye hug"... Cordia left to go grab something from inside that she forgot! Cordia was telling us about some man who had an X-Box: seems someone was shooting at him, so he put the X-Box up as a shield.. the system still worked afterwards! Lucky person, that.

Then I went to lunch with my family for once... going home early at 1:30 with Eric is nice, but spending time with my grandma's important too. (although I won't lie: I was feeling a bit like a hermit halfway through lunch, haha) My mom wants me to spend time with Grandma on Thursday, so we'll see about that. (she also called me "Big Ass"... what a mother!) Steph said that her friend Louis is back here permanently from Montreal... it seems his dad's dying of cancer. :( After a big dim sum lunch, we wasted spent half an hour driving around Commercial to look for some Italian red pepper sauce places that turned out to be closed on Sundays. (very impressive, these days!) Mom doesn't like it when Jon just sits around coffee shops to soak up the culture, haha. For some reason, they all went to a German beer house a couple years ago without me... aiya! We also saw a bunch of people protesting outside David Emerson's office, heh. (crossing the floor and changing political parties right after a major election doesn't go over well with people!) At least I'm home now: I love my downtime! :D
