Prank phone call advice

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KAREN.. I hope you have a good one today! :) It's been good knowing you at church.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KEN.. I hope you have a rocking one today! :) It was certainly a blast knowing you in Band.. wooo!

some bits of advice to remember about prank phone calls:
save the really absurd ones for the middle of the night..
people won't be as awake at first when you call..
they won't realize the absurdity till they wake up..
whenever possible, use *67 to disable Call Waiting..
besides, it's free.. might even disable *69 as well ;)
dial *67, and it'll give you a dial tone; dial the number as usual..
of course, maybe you should call people you don't know..
(or who know you only from the Net.. no voice knowledge)
that way, they won't bug you about it later..

if you DO call someone who knows you pretty well..
make sure to disguise your voice as much as you can..
and hope like hell they don't recognize it, either then or later!
(because that could possibly have bad consequences for you..
especially if they have no sense of humor about these things)
there are certain numbers I'd never prank call, like 911..
others also come to mind, but I won't say anything else here ;)
just be careful if you delve into that particular world, kiddies!

in other news, my computer clock is being very weird..
earlier tonight, it was an hour out for some time..
I didn't notice that state of affairs until about 12:30 AM..
just now, it was out 12 hours from the real time..
that's harder to notice, so I didn't fix it till five minutes ago..
(not using 24-hour time.. forget about it! bad memories..)
sometimes I wish the computer clock would be reliable..
it's certainly a temperamental beast here at times..
fits in with the rest of the computer, though ;)
perhaps I shouldn't complain about this?
everything IS being remarkably consistent! haha..

thank goodness I don't have anything important to do..
I wouldn't be on a strict schedule this time of night..
(or have massive appointments lined up for the wee hours)
but you just never know with some things cropping up..
still, it's unlikely my late night will get disrupted big-time..
definitely a very good thing, so hooray and yahoo! ;)
an atomic clock isn't an option, as I'll not be able to get one..
getting a clock that keeps itself synched to the real deal?
sure, maybe one day when I have a huge pile of money!
