Batboys and pigs / Hip flasks as water bottles? Oh my...
High-scoring words of the afternoon:
BATBOY (116 points; 4W, 3L on B used twice, hook off RAIN to make BRAIN), QIS (160 points; 5W used twice, hook off BATBOY for a plural) - against Darlene C.-C.
PIGGIE (781 points) - against Charisma A. [5W, two 3W, hook off ZIN to make ZIN]
SODAS (1300 points) - against Beverley H. [5W, two 3W, hook off TAT to make STAT]
SHIFTS (320 points) - against Jeannie H. [two 4W - one used twice, hook off SWAN for a plural] {a good deficit-erasing word!}
HORNED (104 points) - against Megan M. [4W, 2W]
DEICE (139 points) - against Connie S. [5W, hook off TAX to make TAXI, 5L on C] {a good deficit-erasing word!}
PAGES (164 points) - against Dale F. [5W, 5L on P, hook off NUT for a plural]
A hip flask makes a good water bottle, but of course you're going to get people assuming you carry hidden alcohol because of the stereotypes - got it. Makes sense to bake the apple pie today, too - if he's already baking in the heat, right? Of course, if there's a stage where he has to let it sit for three hours, then our leaving for the BBQ is perfect! Crepes on Saturday sound good, for sure.
Discussed mushrooms, BAD MOVIE NIGHT 3, (bottled) water, resumes, printers, gaming, chilling the pie in the back of the fridge (atop the yogurt containers), apple pie making a good breakfast, and more. Also talked about Christopher Lee, LOTR, radio shows, song covers, 70s movies, intolerant Christians, soundtracks, druids, comedy / horror, my getting Jon and Harmony's address from an old housewarming Evite, favorite characters, and silly stuff.
