Literary Thanks / LJ isn't blocked on MOSSE / Meeting Paul McMahon

High-scoring words of the afternoon:

LITERARY (248 points; two 4W), EMPLOY (256 points; 4W, two 2W), QI (101 points; 4L on Q used twice, hook on LITERARY to make IT) - against Melissa M.
THANKS (256 points) - against Eli B. [4W, two 2W]
HAUGHS (135 points) - against Amanda P. [two 3W]
DIETARY (208 points) - against Vicki H. [4W, two 2W]

Decided to go to the library - I bumped into Paul McMahon from Palmer on the way there. He told me (what might likely have been BS) about his not working because what people do nowadays is NOT work ("they just surf the Internet all day with permission from the boss!"), buying an Egyptian thread-count pillow from QUILTS at Richmond Centre, having lunch, his middle name being Stephen, his Uncle Neil being a fighter pilot, and it being hard to make it on your own when your family is rich like his apparently is. I discovered that the computers inside the room I'm used to are also only two hours in session limits. Borrowed Blind Passion: A True Story of Seduction, Obsession, and Murder (John Glatt), Born to Steal: When the Mafia Hit Wall Street (Gary Weiss), Dead Ends: The Pursuit, Conviction, and Execution of Female Serial Killer Aileen Wuornos (Michael Reynolds), The Torso Murder: The Untold Story of Evelyn Dick (Brian Vallee), Discover's 20 Things You Didn't Know About Everything: Duct Tape, Airport Security, Your Body, Sex in Space... and More! (Editors of DISCOVER magazine, Dean Christopher), Flashforward (Robert J. Sawyer), Hockey & High Heels: A Different Kind of Hockey Book (Lisa Ovens), Laughter, The Best Medicine II (Editors of READER'S DIGEST), Love's Blood (Clark Howard), Mop Men: Inside the World of Crime Scene Cleaners (Alan Emmins), Perfectly Executed (Peter Van Sant, Jenna Jackson), The Mammoth Book of Jokes: Over 7400 Shaggy Dog Stories, Limericks, Puns, and Put-Downs for All Occasions (Geoff Tibballs), The McSweeney's Joke Book of Book Jokes (Vintage) (McSweeney's, John Hodgman), The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family (Matt Groening, Ray Richmond), and The Sweet Potato Queens' Guide to Raising Children for Fun and Profit (Jill Conner Browne) from the library while I was there. Also discovered that LJ isn't blocked, at least not on the MOSSE computer (for now?) in this room!

"Are you happy to see me, or is that a vuvuzela up your ass?"

HAHAHAHA!
