Home from Regina!

High-scoring word of the night so far:

LOATHER (242 points) - against Pat K. [two 4W]

Got up early and packed, and we were shortly on our way to brunch at the Bushwakker Pub after we hit a Sears Outlet store. I accepted a new ski jacket from my mom, and also read a book about stepwives: both Jon and I wondered why I was reading a book about ex-wives and stepmothers! She bought Turkish Delight for Harmony... reminds me of reading NARNIA with someone, haha. Mom originally didn't want to go to the pub because of time constraints, but our food cane quickly! (egg salad sandwiches on multi-grain bread, a roasted veggie wrap, Golden Draak from Belgium [I have had this beer before], and a Mother-In-Law... both stout AND bitter combined, haha!) Took a taxi to the airport from the car rental place, and found that our flight was delayed. Passed the time by reading, and was happy when we finally got on the plane. Recognized a few people from where we'd been, which was nice. ("we should have chartered a plane!")

Told my brother that I'd traveled in van cabs before - who do you think I was with at the time?! No, we didn't specifically request one (as we had to today, with a lot of luggage) - they just showed up when we called for one! Stopped in Calgary for a bit, where we dozed off. It was good to be back in Vancouver - yup, just insert references to your hometown so the cab drivers don't fleece you! (wonder what one felt when someone was dissing the city while I was with him...) When Mom mentioned that Auntie Christina would come to Regina, both Jon and I thought of Megan's mom first. Our reaction was "... Auntie Christina? Why would SHE come to Regina?! .... OH! You mean Citrus' mom, and Uncle Rex!" Hahaha.

Got home at 6:20, and caught up on stuff. Just heard a reference to the ocarina - how could you not know the Zelda game? It'll be good to have some downtime (and editing) before the flurry starts up again, compounded by the holidays! There's a snowfall warning in effect here... last night was way colder, walking after the grad dinner! Got ten phone calls while I was gone, and half were from blocked numbers. 1-616-980-2886 (Michigan), 1-224-543-7040 (Illinois), 1-403-770-0523 (Calgary), and 1-980-394-6090 (New Jersey) also called me. At least when I sleep tonight, I don't have to hear snoring or see lights! But it was a cool trip, though... Corey and I are now talking about using certain secondary sex characteristics as a tool for expedited shipping before 2009, haha. Speaking of mail, I got a Christmas card from Candy / George / the pets. Odd, but much appreciated!

Some quizzes that I need to catch up on:
