Sunday dinner, part 4: Vietnamese

Hey, Jon emailed a bunch of us about Sunday dinner again... apparently, it's not at Lesley's, which is fine by me! Jer's place should be fine for that, especially if he's making it, haha. Forwarded it to Jasmine and Teunis... it'll be good eating, people! ;) (of course, I still have to figure out how to get there from wherever the Awana orientation is, but there's some time for that!)

For this week's Sunday dinner, we're going to be enjoying the firstfruits of Jeremy's labor. About a year after making a batch of organic Pho, Jeremy has refined his recipe and is making another large pot of it. In order to keep costs down, we're not making it organic style. So you'll get both a lower cost and more pesticides / hormones in your meal! In addition to Pho, Dallas is making both spring rolls and shakes. He requests that you let him know what kind of flavour you'd like -- some suggestions include coconut, mango, guava, durian (Yum!!), jackfruit, soursop -- the choices are endless.

Please let us (me, Dallas, Jeremy) know if you're coming - preferably not last-minute either! We can accommodate a fair number of people, since there is 18L of Pho just waiting to be made. The dinner will be at Jeremy's place, at around 6:30 or so.

For those of you who haven't shown up yet because your friends aren't going, or because you've never hung out with us before, please step out of your comfort zone, get to know other people in the church beyond the usual superficial level, and enjoy some quality homemade food! There's a real community aspect, not to mention some important theology, behind eating together, so I highly encourage you to come out.

Cheers,
Jon
