Bathroom Readers and true crime make this girl very happy!
List of stuff I got while out today:
* Uncle John's Colossal Collection of Quotable Quotes (plus "Dream" bookmark to go with it)
* Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Extraordinary Book of Facts And Bizarre Information (plus "Believe" bookmark to go with it)
* a big word search book for Eric H. (#19, since I have #18)
* The Collected Works of Max Haines, Vol. 5 (1996-1999), and Mickey Mouse bookmark to go with it (I spent at least an hour in the bookstore pondering this last book: there were other less expensive books on murder / hoaxes / Boudicca / other subjects, but I figured I might as well since I like this guy and true crime!) [I also helped a cute little French-Canadian girl with her Canadian flag, heh]
* whoopee cushion gag gift for Eric M.
* stickers for little Ian's birthday (I saw girly stickers that could be for Gwyneth and Evelyn, but didn't buy those... maybe next time!)
* birthday cards for Karen Choo, Nicholas, Jeremy, little Ian (July 4), and Vivian S.
* ice cream (Ben and Jerry's Chunky Monkey / Cherry Garcia)
* two things of sushi for some variety
* two things of bubble solution... it's SO FUN to blow bubbles!
* microwaveable meals (Schneider's Hot Stuffs were on special, so I decided to buy the cheeseburger variety to try out... also got Stouffer's with coupons and Hungry Man, so I should get Western Family "four chicken pies to a box" next week)
Next on my list: I should get to Chapters sometime and buy the Readers Companion to the LOTR series that Jon and Nathan got me for my birthday a few years ago! I saw it bundled in with the main three books, but I didn't want to buy it since I already HAVE those... why waste (more) money?
Also, I think I *will* help out with the kids aged 3-6 at Summer Conference. Can't be any worse than the toddlers... but then again, it very well could be! My sister says "people" will take care of me at mealtimes so that my visions of tripping with a full tray of food in the cafeteria don't materialize. I hope it's true, heh. (CP is not the best for balance, mmkay? :P)
Edit: Never mind. She says she found other people (Auntie Vivian and two of her kids, probably Sarah and Mary) to help.
Kinda late, since France and Italy will be playing in the final, but whatever... :P
