Hockey wins / Questions 3701-3750 of 5000 / YNR / Memegens

YAY! The Canucks beat the Habs 6-2! :D

Memegen seems to be working properly again... double yay! :D

Oh yeah, Jessica said that Auntie Rebecca wanted to talk to me today. Guess I'll figure it out tomorrow if I see her! I've also made a pressured decision on my sister's Evite party thing, since she's bugging me about it on MSN now: I'm going, even if she'd dare uninvite her own sister. Help me... I'm turning into my mom, since I want to put down that I'm my sister's flesh and blood! o_O (I prefer to take my time making decisions, mostly...)

Corey's and my discussion about computer cases:

[01:00:14] mrptptpt: You Can Build A PC by Opening the Case!
[01:00:25] mrptptpt: see that? they have the thing slid back a bit :P
[01:00:41] mrptptpt: if the top / sides are one piece like that.. that's probably how it opens
[01:06:00] mrptptpt: Preparing Your Computer Case
[01:06:14] mrptptpt: go to that one instead.. it's a whole site about opening cases
[01:06:37] mrptptpt: I guess it's for people with brain damage that can't just figure it out ;)
[01:06:44] mrptptpt: since it's so incredibly complicated :P
[01:06:49] AlenaBrolxFlami: COREY!
[01:08:29] mrptptpt: well, you just unscrew some screws and then open it the only way it comes apart... you look for screws holding the outer case to the rest of the frame.. and take those, and the outer frame off :P like how you turn the doorknob on a door and then swing the door open, instead of trying to walk through it while closed, or trying to lift it from the bottom

Note: LJ superhero name / details Memegen. (by America_Mamushi)

Got these questions from this QuestionClub LJ post by Arthurbulla. I'm going to post the survey in 50-question batches, like the original. No worries there! Five thousand questions and answers wouldn't fit as an entry, anyhow. :P

The only complete copy... you'll have to go around erasing answers.

3701. If you HAD to do your holiday shopping for EVERYONE in only ONE store, what store would you pick? Wal-Mart, because there is something for everyone... plus it still has low prices.

3702. What's more annoying: the person in front of you driving ten miles under the speed limit on a regular day, OR a person who cuts you off doing 10 miles over the speed limit on a stormy day? The person who cuts me off during a stormy day.

3703. Define the word TIME without using the word "time" in the definition: A nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future.

3704. What old cartoons do you remember watching? Scooby-Doo, Loony Tunes, Belle and Sebastian, The Archies, The Flintstones...

3705. Do you think that people care only about the people they know personally, or do most people care about all people? They really only care most about the people they know personally.

Why do you think people feel that way? Human nature.

3706. Are you more like Brak Zorak or Space Ghost, and why? No clue.

3707. Would you rather see the movie first and then read the book, or read the book and then see the movie? See the movie first, and then read the book... it worked that way for me as far as LOTR was concerned, haha.

3708. Do you own any audio books? No.

3709. Why are things the way they are? No idea.

3710. Do you believe that guns don't kill people, and that people kill people? Yes.

Why? Because it's the person's choice, not the gun's.

3711. What is the best way you can think of to prevent murder? I don't know... nothing's really worked so far. There will always be that criminal element in humanity.

3712. Why is it that in the USA, thousands of people are murdered with a gun each year... while in Canada, only a handful of people are murdered with a gun each year? Original answer: "Because Canada is less competitive... LOL!" The hatred that I have for "LOL" aside, that's a pretty STUPID ANSWER! My answer: "Because the US allows people to carry concealed handguns, or something." Okay, so I don't know the real answer, but at least I'm not as stupid as Katie! (the girl who originally took the survey and filled in all the answers)

Sure sounds like the USA is doing something wrong, but what? Laws about guns, heh.

3713. Is there a difference between really being yourself, and just being automatic and acting on whims? Yes.

What? Being yourself should be less forced and whimsical.

3714. Have you ever strolled through a graveyard? No.

In the dark? No.

3715. What is the difference between a good poem and a bad one? Good poems speak to the reader, and obey somewhat conventional writing rules. Bad poems... don't, heh.

3716. Who really cares about anything? No clue. Sometimes I question myself!

Do you? Most of the time.

Do you let it show, all the time? No.

3717. Do you live with passion? No.

3718. Do you talk to squirrels? No.

3719. Do you kick up leaves? Depends.

3720. Which do you need more: sugar, caffeine, alcohol, drugs, sex, or sleep? Sleep.

3721. What images do you get from the phrase "human subway"? A subway that is crammed full of people, heh.

3722. Joe Strummer died. Are you sad? Yes.

Do you have a fond memory of him to share? I wish.

3723. If you are a guy, are you circumcised?

If you are a girl, which do you prefer: circumcised or not? ... erm.

3724. Does it bother you that in the USA, you will be tracked based on what websites you visit / what online purchases you make... and your email will be read by the government? I'm not surprised, but you bet it bothers me!

3725. Have you ever checked out the online personals? No.

3726. What do you crave? Potstickers.

3727. On a scale of 1-10, how tough are you? 6

3728. On a scale of 1-10, how tender are you? 7

3729. On a scale of 1-10, how good are you? 7

3730. On a scale of 1-10, how evil are you? 5

3731. What would make a cool coffee table book? A book on a squillion murder cases. :D

3732. What's the most interesting conversation piece in your home? Original answer: "Piece... what do you mean?" Aiya... oh man. My answer: "My weird books!" So they're not really a conversation piece per se... whatever. Live with it. :P

3733. If you could get on the mall loudspeaker on Christmas Eve, you would say: "Attention, holiday shoppers: Good luck finding everything you want before all the malls CLOSE! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

3734. What are you on the outside of looking into? Certain groups I'm ostensibly a part of.

3735. Are you more of a peculiar purple pie man, or a sour grape? A peculiar purple pie man.

3736. Who is someone you know should deserve more respect? Michelle!

3737. Does the end ever justify violence as a means? Sometimes.

If yes, when? You want me to come with examples NOW... I don't THINK so! :P

3738. Which would be worse: caring about everything, or caring about nothing? Caring about everything, because then you'd be living under a constant guilt trip and apologizing for things that aren't even your fault. That's why I try not to care so much about certain things. ;)

3739. Why do so many people on the Internet pretend to be pregnant? They want attention.

3740. Have you ever been to the diary Hicks or Brian (same guy, Hicks is the old diary, Brian is the current one)? No.

If yes, what are your thoughts?

3741. What was your New Year's like in: (answer all that you can remember)

1970? Not alive.

1980? No idea. I was probably sleeping, heh. (was only 4 then)

1990? Don't remember... probably at home.

1995? Don't remember... probably at home.

1998? Can't remember. I suck... but I was probably at home.

1999? I was probably at home.

2000? Probably at home... I remember delivering the paper, the whole Y2K thing, Jon being out after the official New Year (Mom said he couldn't go out till then) and not getting home till 8 AM... good times. Then we went to Justin's for a bit, as well.

2001? Probably Elizabeth and James' place... played Scrabble, called Tracy when N'Sync was on TV, had champagne, heard about a "gay Christian" that Elizabeth had a crush on (that won't work!)... good times, mostly.

2002? Stayed home and talked to Rivers, Eric M., Spoz, and others online.

2003? Talked to Chironex, Jon, Sarah Moore, Grolby, Lisa, John Manos, The J Man, Crunchy Frog, Darren, Shannon, Jamie Spit, and a bunch of people online / on the phone / in IRC chat. Steph and I went to Melia's later on to see The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood / Ocean's Eleven with her, Cindy, Chrystal, Phil, Megan, Becky, Emily, and Vanessa.

2004? Went to Cindy and Dianne's for "fat camp" with them, Steph, Melissa, Fidela, Jackie, Emily, Becky, Vanessa, and Chrystal. Ate a lot of junk food, played Dutch Blitz / Phase 10 / Speed / Scrabble, messed around in the snow, talked a lot about stuff, and watched Freaky Friday. Afterwards, I went home for a bit and got unsettling Christmas email. Then I went to the family home and spent time in the OUR PLACE chatroom, wished Spoz and Danielle a Happy New Year online, and generally relaxed a little.

2005? Spent it at home since I was sick, otherwise I would have been at Billy and Stella's with a bunch of Fellowship people. Accidentally blocked my own sister on MSN (how does THAT happen?!), and talked to Snoopy, Corey, Alyssa, Erik, and people in the OUR PLACE chatroom. Set up a Homestar Runner mood theme on LJ since I couldn't sleep due to loud people outside my window.

3742. You know the Def Leopard song Love Bites? Yeah.

Do they actually mean love bites as in it sucks, or lovebites as in hickies? Look at the lyrics... they obviously mean love SUCKS!

3743. All you want for Christmas is: Someone special.

3744. If you rearrange the letters in SANTA what words can you make? SATAN... o_O

3745. Say anything: Anything.

3746. Can you feel your life ending one minute at a time? No.

3747. Is there something you don't want to talk about? Yes.

3748. What is the most offensive thing you can think of to type here: .... dude. Even if I could think of something (which I probably can), I am NOT going to type it here! Readership considerations, people. :P

Who do you think it would offend? I'm not going to say!

3749. Who would you stop the world and melt with? Nice Modern English reference, but I have no idea.

3750. Is there anyone you wish you had never known? Oh yes, plenty of people... like the people I don't like / who don't like me, and all (or most of) my ex-friends!
