US Thanksgiving Friday Five, Amy's Christmas card, Jon's birthday, Questions 801-850 of 5000

I got a Christmas card from Amy (amy_star_) today... this holiday_wishes thing is good! :D (that reminds me, I really ought to go to the mall and mail off some more cards... maybe tomorrow?)

It's now officially my brother's 24th birthday... I wonder what he'll be doing for it. If you're reading this, Jon... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)

US Thanksgiving Friday Five

1. On what day do you celebrate Thanksgiving? The same day the rest of the Canadians celebrate... second Sunday in October.

2. How do you traditionally celebrate this food-filled holiday? Go over to someone's house and eat a lot of turkey... mmm, tryptophan...

3. How do you like your stuffing cooked (in the bird, separately in a dish, store bought, etc.)? Separately in a dish.

4. What is your favorite dessert to eat on Thanksgiving and who makes it? Mom's mango pudding.

5. Can you name five things you are thankful for? Friends, family, books, music, and my support network.

Got these questions from this QuestionClub LJ post by Arthurbulla. I'm going to post the survey in 50-question batches, like the original. No worries there! Five thousand questions and answers wouldn't fit as an entry, anyhow. :P

The only complete copy... you'll have to go around erasing answers.

801. How often do you change your mood in a day? Depends what happens.

802. When you ask people "how you doin" or "what's up," do you actually truly care about their answer or is it just something to say? Generally I care, but sometimes it depends on who I'm asking.

803. Would you consider yourself to be very polite? In general.

804. Does loving start when open hearts touch and stay? I guess...

805. Have you ever had a lucid dream (a dream in which you knew you were dreaming and had complete control over what happened in the dream)? Maybe once...

806. Have you ever had a flying dream? Yes.

807. Have you ever had a lucid flying dream? If not, I would recommend trying to have one! Nope, that would be so freaky!

808. What's the oddest law you ever heard of? Man, I've heard of plenty... so can't single one out as the oddest. Go here for a bunch of them. ;)

809. What is the ultimate way to connect with another person? Getting to know their heart and soul.

810. Can you be intimate with someone without touching them? Yes.

811. Can guys and girls ever really be "just friends" with no interest in anything more? Yup, 'tis the story of my life.

813. Are you addicted to this survey like drugs? Well, no... but now that I've started, I want to finish. :P

814. If your boyfriend or girlfriend wanted to wait for marriage, could you hold out... or would you leave them, or would you cheat)? Hold out.

815. What's the longest sentence you can make using only words that start with the same letter as your first name (you can throw in small words like: the, and, by, if, a, is, then, what, we, do, see, in, out)? Louis likes licking little lollipops in the Lower Levels of the Lizard Labyrinth like Lily loves light lagers in loopy links.

816. If you had a theme song, what would it be? I have no idea.

817. Are you cranky? A bit.

818. Hey, remember that "fact or crap" part of this survey? Did you know that the answers to that are posted in my diary (simply surveys)? It's somewhere in the first hundred entries in case you're curious if you got them right. I don't care, anymore.

819. Is six cats too many? It depends.

820. Would you enjoy reading fairy tales written about robots? Might be interesting.

821. Which is better: Poems that everyone can relate to, or poems that are intensely personal to the author? Poems that everyone can relate to.

822. Is it worse to be too hot or too cold? Too hot. If you're too cold, at least you can put layers on.

825. Is smoking a turn-on, or gross? Gross.

826. What is the one way you wouldn't want to die? Getting caught in the crossfire of a gang shooting.

827. Which is sillier: a cowboy hat, or a Rasta hat? A cowboy hat.

828. How can anyone get a computer job and sit on their ass all day? I'd go nuts. I might not, but it depends on what I'd be doing.

829. Which science class would you rather take: human nutrition or meteorology? Human nutrition.

830. Have you ever taken honors courses? No.

831. What do you think of crop circles? Bizarre.

Where do they come from? I dunno... aliens and UFOs, maybe?

832. Do you think it's messed up that the USA government knows that terrorists are planning to target our nuclear power plants, but still will not shut them down to prevent the attack? Yup.

833. When was the last time you screwed up in a big way? Last week.

834. You have a choice. What do you eat: a veggie burger, a turkey dog, or a cheese sandwich? Probably the turkey dog.

835. Would you find it odd if you were emailing / chatting with a teacher? When I was at school, we didn't have that resource... so yeah, I found it a bit odd when my brother and Corey first mentioned emailing their uni profs. ;)

836. Do you have a paper journal also? Yes.

837. VHS or DVD? DVD.

838. Vinyl, cassette tape, or CD? CD.

845. What book are you reading right now? Too many at once, as usual. China's Golden Age: Everyday Life in the Tang Dynasty by Charles Benn... that's one of the books Nathan, Citrus, and Danielle got me for my birthday. :D

846. Is the news too depressing? Yes.

847. Would you rather have a stuffed lion, elephant, pig, or duck? I already have a stuffed duck.... so maybe a lion or an elephant.

848. Are you late for a very important date? Not at this hour!

849. Ever use Star 69? Yeah, a couple of times.

850. Is everyone as smart as you? No. Mwahahaha.
