Downloading the MSN security update

is it worth downloading the MSN security update?
the download never finishes.. (I tried it multiple times)
that process cripples my computer speed even more..
(yes, such a thing is indeed possible.. I know!)
maybe the hassle isn't worth all that trouble..
I'll just put up with those annoying messages..
"Vernon, get your friend to give you those CDs now!" ;)
