Jugulating, kissing the governor's daughter, and KUNZITE!

I'll bring you the "I / J / K" words from this book that Jon and Harmony got me for my birthday. This is from Butt Rot and Bottom Gas: A Glossary of Tragically Misunderstood Words (Eric Groves, Sr.)

I

ice screw: a large, specially-designed metal screw used by mountain climbers while ascending or descending to help anchor ropes to icy cliffs

impregnable: unable to be forcefully entered or broken into, as a fortress or prison

insertion: in arts and crafts, an item of lace sewn onto a larger piece of cloth for ornamentation

interbastation: a patchwork quilt

invaginate: [from the Latin word vagina, meaning "sheath" or "scabbard"] to put something into something else, typically a sword into a scabbard

J

jackfruit: an east Indian tree of the mulberry family

jackscrew: a hand-cranked or hydraulic device used to raise objects several feet or yards into the air; also called SCREW JACK [The threaded rod of a jackscrew turns through a nut held by movable metal bars connected to a metal plate. This arrangement effectively raises extremely heavy loads such as cars and trucks.]

Jacob's rod: any of a genus of plants of the lily family; the asphodel

jactitation: boasting falsely; also, spasmodic movements due to a discomfiting illness

jam nut: a nut that provides extra resistance to vibration from machinery

jawboning: an official using the prestige of office to influence others; as in a mayor suggesting a new public-schools policy

Jerusalem cherry: the Solanum pseudocapsicum plant, which produces poisonous red fruit resembling tomatoes

jockey pump: a small pump connected to a sprinkler system

joystick: the upright lever that controls an aircraft or a computer video game

jughandle: a roadway where cars make left turns utilizing a right-lane exit just before an intersection - the exit loops around like a jug handle, allowing cars to travel through the intersection and access the original road

jug hold: in rock climbing, a large easily-grasped handhold on a rock face

jugulate: in medicine, to use heroic or desperate measures to defeat a stubborn illness

K

kickball: a game played by kicking a rubber ball and running to bases

kinky: curly textured hair; also, anything wiry or curly

kissing the governor's daughter: to bend over a cannon's barrel for punitive caning or flogging

Kummer theory: a set of beliefs that incorporates the general theory of quadratic extensions [the Kummer theory was originally developed in the 1840s by the German mathematician Ernst Kummer]

kumquat: a tiny fruit of the flowering kumquat tree, a member of the genus Fortunella, related to the genus Citrus; also, CUMQUAT [A kumquat looks like a miniature orange, but is more oval and may vary in color from green to red. Because of its sweet-tasting rind and flesh, the kumquat is often used to make liqueurs and marmalades.]

kunzite: a pinkish lilac crystalline gemstone discovered in 1902 by the American mineralogist George Frederick Kunz (1856-1932) [Kunzite is classified as a type of spodumene, a mineral containing lithium, which is a chemical element compounded to create mood-stabilizing drugs and other commercial products.] {this is interesting to me because of kunzite1}
