Interesting vodka flavors, and DINOSAURS!
This thing just restarted, and I shouldn't be up anyhow. Bedtime!
Hmm... Cindy, Fidela, and Auntie Catherine sent me an Evite for Megan's bridal shower on June 22 (a Monday) at 6 in the church's fellowship hall. Hey, might as well use the space now that we have it, hahaha.
Alicia and Teunis picked me up earlier tonight - let's just say that I've finally met a more impatient driver than my dad, heh. It was an interesting ride... I was glad when we finally got to Erik's. Nipped into the bathroom to get my cards in order, then accepted Lindsay's offer of Dibs. There was lots of alcohol around (Malibu rum, Stolichnaya blueberry / vanilla / raspberry, beer, and more), plus chicken / hot dogs. Talked more to Kyle than I ever have before - at least he knows what my name is now, haha. Gave Alicia a birthday card, and also gave one to Erik - it's what I do, haha. Heard Alicia's husband Scott say that I barely know her, yet I give her a better card than her mother! Could be true, from what I heard. Said hi to Kaili, admired someone's dark green modern corset, and talked about Krista / atheism / Catholic guilt / depression / religion / life stories / Queen Victoria / alchemy / weddings / Facebook / new roommates / humor / Speed Racer / more. We were going to leave, but Erik enticed us with SWEENEY TODD - sure thing! Interesting story - nice bloody deaths scenes too, hehe. :D
Leslie's just got their Prank Call Name. I just got my Prank Call Name. It's Bertha Kidd.
Leslie just took the Is Your House Haunted Quiz and My house probably isn't haunted. My house probably isn't haunted. I may hear the occasional bump in the night, and sense the odd smell here and there, but it might just be my dog or my significant other.
Facebook quizzes taken from Jemima, Spoz, Kaitlin, Jono, and Candy:
Leslie completed the quiz "What's your ideal career?" with the result Politics & Law. Well done! You are best suited to the Politics & Law career type. You are a very straightforward person who generally means what you say and know what you want. When it comes to persuasive arguments, you know what you're talking about and will not hesitate when backing up your arguments with valid evidence. This choice of career is bound to lead you on the pathway to success, as long as you are willing to put in the effort and commitment it requires... (Well, my family always said that I'd make a good lawyer because I seemingly like to ARGUE... *sigh*)
Leslie took the WHICH DINOSAUR / WEAPON COMBO WOULD YOU RIDE INTO BATTLE!!!!!! quiz and the result is Stegosaurus with a Laser. So... a stegosaurus would be a remarkably uncomfortable and clumsy steed. We admit that it is awesome, and has a spiky club for a tail which has its own brain. That is awesome. Lasers add a sci-fi flair. You are probably a nerd. You know at least one programming language, and give talks on maths for fun. Nevertheless, you are a sexy individual who is a huggabone honey stain baby doll. You would match well with someone who is the awesomest.
Leslie took the What emergency worker are you? quiz and the result is EMT. You want to save lives. You are quick to respond.
Leslie took the Which novelist are you? quiz and the result is James Joyce. Irish writer Joyce was a pioneer and a model for authors who believed in free written expression. His writing evolved steadily from adolescent lyrics to precise vignettes to bold combinations of autobiography and satire. Most of his works deal with everyday life. Although Joyce renounced the Roman Catholic faith, his writings frequently refer to the rich tradition of the Church. He compared the artist and the writer to the priest, who performs certain social and aesthetic functions in a dramatic display. He also compared the literary use of symbols to the religious use of sacraments, which are the outward and visible representations of inward and invisible spiritual states. Joyce called some of his early sketches epiphanies; the term epiphany, often used in a religious context, means an understanding that comes about through a sudden intuitive realization. A Joycean epiphany is a small descriptive moment, action, or phrase that holds much larger meaning–for example, a single word or gesture that explains a person’s entire personality.
Leslie took the Music Theory Quiz quiz and the result is Music Theory Master. You must either be a professional musician or a really good guesser.
Leslie took the What Rush song are you? quiz and the result is 2112 (The Complainer). You are a complainer, just like the song 2112 was written to complain about how the record companies try to control song length and style. You're always rambling about how the stupid people, the meek, are inheriting the earth and taking control. You're annoyed at the government because you think it regulates and directs your life from within. You always think that you have the best answer to a problem and that people will all see its light. You believe that society has destroyed all ethics and morals; the elder race of man. Because of all this, you claim you have a cold and empty life.
