Social rejection is the same as physical pain

and this just in from some researchers on the Web..
social rejection causes the same distress as physical pain..
physical and social pain are stored in the same place..
it could be divorce, being turned down for a date, hurt..
probably the end of a friendship would qualify, as well..
I guess it's no wonder that I've been so discontent lately ;)
(I'm not worrying constantly coz of yesterday's headspace :P)
