I got stuff from Greece today, of all the places!
I was awakened today by the mailman knocking at the door... sigh. Got a package today from GREECE! Daphne (sinjah) sent it to me: yay!
* fresh homemade cosmetics (an ocean-smelling blue soap) from Fresh Line
* a nice homemade Christmas card on cool brown recycled paper
* a postcard of Athens with the Parthenon taken from Lycabetus, a hill where she sits sometimes to think
* recipes for melomakarona (small honey cakes), tiropita (cheese triangles), galaktoboureko (milk pie), rolled spanakopitas, and pastitsio
I might go out today to buy gifts for the baby shower, hydrogen peroxide, and steak. Blogger has a scheduled 10-minute (but could be more, considering how these things go!) outage at 3:30 PM, anyhow. ;)
