Quincunx and robusta beans!

I'll bring you the "Q / R" words from this book that Jon and Harmony got me for my birthday. This is from Butt Rot and Bottom Gas: A Glossary of Tragically Misunderstood Words (Eric Groves, Sr.)

quaere: alternate spelling of QUERY, a question

queening: the act of a cat giving birth

queer for: to really want something very much; to be obsessed

quick load: a video game feature that enables a player to load a saved game by pressing a button that immediately continues the saved game

quincunx: a game with a glass face, metal pins, and rolling balls; similar to the Asian game of pachinko

ramification: a possible meaning and consequence of a course of action

ramrod: a rod used to compact the explosive powder in muzzle-loaded guns

range balls: golf balls used for practice purposes only

rear end: to hit the back of someone's car with a vehicle

rear horse: an alternative name for the insect called the praying mantis

rectify: to make things right

red-breasted nuthatch: a bluish-gray bird with a red breast

renal: of or pertaining to the kidneys, the two C-shaped internal organs that separate wastes from the bloodstream and flush them out of the body as urine

ridgepole: the term for the long piece of wood that forms a gabled roof's ridgeline, or apex

riser: the upright portion of a step

robusta beans: the supermarket-grade coffee beans grown in tropical climates

rocball: a modern ball game modeled after the centuries-old ball games of the Aztec Indians

rods: in anatomy, the light receptors in the eyes of primates

rubasse: a type of quartz with red iron oxide

rubbage: an alternative spelling of RUBBISH; trash, garbage

rubbing in: in cooking, the incorporation of fat into flour

rubricate: [From the Latin word rubrico, meaning "to color red"] to use red ink to inscribe headings in an illuminated manuscript; the practice dates back to medieval Europe, where trained rubricators added red headings and characters to separate or emphasize sections of text

rump party: in Great Britain, members of a political party left behind after the party suffers a breakup or dissolution
